A/N: I keep updating like everyday, but hey, who's complaining? I'm on a roll, and considering my 7-month delay of updating, I really need to be doing this. I felt bad about it, because I actually did work hard on this and it was my first BTR fanfic I ever wrote.
But anyway, if you guys have any suggestions, they would really help! You can either leave them in a review or tweet/DM them to me on Twitter! ( henderslave)
Enjoy chapter 10!
"What do you mean? James must've set you up to this, right? Kendall would never lie to me; he loves me. Please tell me you're lying, Carlos. Please!" Logan pleaded.
"I'm sorry, buddy," responded Carlos.
Logan fell to the ground on his knees and began to sob. He didn't know what else to do, he had nobody to love him anymore. The first person to ever love him, Kendall, was taken away from him. Ever since he met James, his world was slowly falling apart. He thought he had finally found the one. The one to glue back his broken pieces and fix him permanently. Now it was gone, nothing was fine. He was torn.
Logan didn't see a point in ever going back home. Sure, his mom had no clue of his whereabouts. But it didn't matter if he didn't have Kendall anymore. He was the reason he got out of bed in the morning, and actually enjoyed it in California. But now he was gone, and Logan's life had been ruined.
"Come on, Logan. Get up off the ground. You've been gone for almost twelve hours now and need to get home," said Carlos, kicking his side.
"No!" he screamed through his consistent sobs. "I don't ever want to face Kendall or James ever again, especially not like this!"
"I won't let James come close to you, I promise. I'll stick with you."
"Promise?"
"I promise. Now come on, let's go. School starts in a few hours and I'm not letting you miss a day, even if you do look like shit right now."
"Thanks, Los. That's something I love hearing. Now shut-up and lead the way out of here! After I woke up I totally forgot how I even got here!"
When Carlos and Logan arrived at the school, they stuck by each other's side. Before class started, there was no sign of either Kendall or James, but they both knew that they had come to school that day. They had made it fine through their first period class. Now it was time for second period to start; they had it with Kendall and James though.
"Carlos, I don't think I can do this," admitted Logan.
"Just don't bother to acknowledge James' existence. He gets really upset and agitated, but it's actually hilarious. You know James and his pride," Carlos laughed.
They turned the corner in the hallway and they began to get gradually closer to their Visual Arts room. Logan's heart was beating fast and he wasn't sure if he was ready to face Kendall and James. He took a deep breath and walked into the class with Carlos right behind him, thankfully not drawing any attention to himself. He noticed that everyone was standing at the back of the class, so he did the same. And everything was completely fine until he read the words on the board in front of him.
"Yes students, a new seating arrangement! I've noticed a lot of talking going on, so I made the decision of moving everyone around instead of disciplining you all," our teacher, Mrs. Anderson announced to the class.
She began to go through where everyone would sit. It wasn't a great arrangement considering everyone was still seated with his or her friends. Kendall and Carlos even got seated next to each other. Soon enough, Logan was the last person left, standing at the back of the class alone and very awkwardly.
"Oh, Logan Mitchell! It appears that your name has yet to be printed on our class list yet!" giggled the teacher.
"It's alright, Mrs. Anderson. They'll get to it eventually!" Logan replied politely.
She looked around the room to find Logan an empty seat to sit in. He was quite disappointed that he couldn't sit next to Carlos, but he was sure that whomever he sat next to, he could last until June. It couldn't be too bad anyway.
"Ah, Logan! You'll be sitting next to James Diamond! I trust you enough to not goof around."
Dear grew throughout Logan and he gulped and nodded before grabbing his stuff and shuffling over to his new desk beside James. Logan sat down and turned his head over to look at James, who smirked back at him in response to Logan's nasty glare he shot at him. Okay, maybe he couldn't last until June.
"Okay class, today with the person next to you, you will be discussing an Art project. You will together be painting a picture of something that has value to you, or something you enjoy. Now get to it, you'll be working on this project for the next month. It will affect your grade!"
James and Logan turned to face each other, James with a large smile on his face and Logan still with a dark glare. He was disgusted with James and couldn't believe he was going to be stuck with this monster for the next few months. As for James, he already knew he was going to have a blast with all of it.
"You guys!" Carlos yelled while approaching the two of us, stopping us from starting to converse. "We get to be in a group, just the four of us!"
James' face lit up as Carlos and Kendall pulled their chair to our desks. He could bug Logan while Kendall being around, and it'd last for the next month or so.
"So what should we paint, you guys?" James spoke up.
"I'm not sure. Kendall seems to be getting pretty fucking great at acting though!" Logan sneered.
"God damn it, Carlos! I fucking get to the point where I decide to kiss you yet you still can't keep your mouth shut?" complained James.
"Oops," said Carlos in a sarcasm full tone.
"You know, I thought we were friends, Kendall. I guess not, I guess it was all just an act!" Logan cried before storming out of the classroom.
"Logan, wait!" Kendall yelled while standing up to go after him. Though someone grabbing his arm pulled him back. And of course, it was James.
"You're going to make the mistake of going after that loser while I'm around? You know what I can do, Kendall. And I'm not afraid to hurt you again and make it worse," James warned.
Kendall rolled his eyes at him and groaned, slapping away his arm. "Fuck you, James."
Kendall stormed out of the classroom and shut the door behind him, which made a loud noise but he couldn't care less. He needed to find out where Logan had gone and talk to him. He did wrong and messed up their relationship, and he now realized how big of a mistake he had made by listening to James.
Though Logan wasn't anywhere. He was about to give up and go back to class and go to his house after school until he remembered one last place that he hadn't checked. Kendall walked down the hall that led toward the cafeteria, until he reached a certain closet. And sure enough, he opened the door and Logan was sitting on the floor next to a mop, drowning in his own tears.
Logan looked up at Kendall and looked back down and continued to cry even more than before. "Go away, Kendall."
"I'm not leaving until you and me get a chance to talk," Kendall replied, shutting the door and sitting next to him.
"Fine," Logan gave in. "How'd you even know I'd be in here?"
"This was the first place we ever actually talked. I just had a feeling that you'd be in here."
"You remembered?"
"Why would I forget it? I still love you, Logan."
Logan groaned. "Well then why did you lie to me? If you loved me you would've owned up to it instead of lying to my face. And you didn't even believe me when I told you about James, so you ignored me."
"I'm so sorry. I was just scared James would hurt me again. But now I don't care, because I have you. And I'm stronger when I'm around you," Kendall admitted.
Kendall leaned in and tried to kiss Logan, but Logan pulled back before he could. Kendall didn't understand why, though.
Kendall worried. "What?"
"It's not right," Logan whispered. "You're popular and all I am is a loser, we can't do this."
Logan stood up and walked out of the closet and back to class, leaving a confused Kendall alone in the back of a dark room. And he still desperately wanted to be with him, no matter what he had to do.
