Paul knew he was pushing his luck when he pushed her t-shirt up a little so was surprised when she didn't tell him off as he rubbed her bare back gently. With her being so quiet he thought nothing of it as he thought she was enjoying the closeness but when she didn't move in a while he lifted his head and looked down to see her eyes closed and she seemed to be sound asleep. Despite the fact that he wasn't entirely comfortable in his position on the bed as his feet were planted on the floor and he knew when he woke up in the morning he would be in agony he didn't have the heart to move and potentially wake her up so he relaxed his back again and closed his eyes allowing himself to fall asleep.
She had no idea exactly how long she had been asleep for but Stephanie stirred with a bit of cramp in her hand from where it was beneath Paul's shoulder. Carefully pulling her hand out from beneath his back she lifted her head to look at the clock as she flexed her fingers trying to get life back into it. Her eyes widened when she saw that the clock read '3:04am', gently she nudged Paul's shoulder to wake him, "baby wake up, you need to move."
Groaning Paul lifted his hand and rubbed his eyes, "what time is it?"
"Just after three am, you really need to move further up the bed so you can move tomorrow."
Waiting as Stephanie moved off of him before he pushed himself further up the bed not caring to remove his jeans, just wanting to get back to sleep. When he reached the top of the bed he lay back down with his head on the pillows and rubbed his thighs gently getting some life back into them.
Yawning as she watched him rub some life back into his legs she waited until his hands were back by his side before she climbed back on top of him and lay back down as she was, she wanted to be as close to him as possible and she was comfortable before so she would be comfortable now.
As Stephanie got comfortable on top of him Paul yawned before sliding his arms around her waist and held onto her as he closed his eyes and allowed himself to fall back to sleep again.
A few hours later and the phone rang waking them both up. Reaching over Stephanie answered the phone, acknowledged she was awake before she hung up and then sat up fully. Looking down at her boyfriend she couldn't help but run her hands gently over his chest, "I want to go back to sleep."
Taking her hands in his he rubbed the back of her hands gently with his thumb, "it'll be okay baby."
"No it won't. I have to pretend for the next like eighteen hours that I don't still love you and you're not my boyfriend and I actually have to be civil towards Vince despite the fact that he doesn't deserve it."
Moving to sit up he slipped his arms around her waist and pulled her into a hug, "it'll be okay. When we're alone behind closed doors we can snuggle and kiss a little but for now I need to go back to my room, shower, change and then get some breakfast."
Frowning she reluctantly moved from on top of him and sat on the bed solemnly watching as he pulled his shoes on and did them up before he stood up ready to walk to the door, "are you going to show me out beautiful?"
Shaking her head she knew she was being childish but she just couldn't, "no, it'll make it real if I walk you to the door. If I sit here I can pretend that you're going to come back in a minute."
Turning around he leant down and pressed a passionate but gentle kiss to her lips before he slowly pulled away gently stroking her cheek with his fingers, "I will be back tonight, if you'll have me."
Nodding her head she looked up at him, "you're always welcome here. I love you."
Pressing a soft kiss to the top of her head he smiled softly, "I love you too. I'll see you in a few hours but you can always text me, I'll even change your name to Sid if you'd prefer."
Giggling softly she shook her head, "I never thought about doing that but maybe we should, that way we can text as much as we like and then nobody will ever know who we're texting."
Happy to finally see a smile on her face again he nodded his head, "sure thing. I will change your name in my phone when I get back to my room and I'll show you what I renamed you later."
Moving to the edge of the bed she stood up, "and I will do the same for you."
Nodding his head he moved towards the door pleased when she was following him as it meant she was more relaxed, "deal. I'll see you later and maybe when we go back to the holiday house I can take you up on the offer of scrubbing your back in the shower."
Shuffling her feet nervously on the floor she nodded her head in acknowledgement of what he said blushing slightly that he remembered what she had said to him as she watched as he opened the door and walked out.
As soon as he left Paul went straight back to his room pleased when he didn't encounter any of the other wrestlers. Once he was back in his room he undid his shoes and kicked them off before he grabbed his phone and scrolled down until he found Stephanie in his address book and changed it to 'Mylo'. Satisfied that nobody would know who that was he threw his phone onto his bed before he walked into the bathroom to take a shower.
Once Paul had left Stephanie picked up her phone and contemplated what to call him now so she could text him without fear of people snooping and telling Vince what was going on. After a few moments of just staring at the screen she finally thought of a name to call him and settled on 'Lee'. Saving his new name to her phone she put it back on the bedside table before she went into the bathroom to shower and then to go down to get some breakfast.
After she had showered and gotten dressed Stephanie grabbed a pile of paperwork and headed down to the dining room to get some breakfast and then she could use the paperwork to shield her from dealing with people.
Walking into the dining room she went straight to the table with all of the food on and piled up a plate before she walked to the table in the corner of the room and took a seat spreading her papers out to make it clear that she didn't want to be bothered. About halfway through her breakfast her attention was drawn to the doorway when she heard Vince's booming voice, suddenly she wasn't feeling so hungry anymore so gathering her papers together she picked them up along with her half eaten breakfast, dumping the food in the bin before dropping the plate on the pile of dirty plates. Taking a deep breath she walked out of the dining room passing her Father and ignoring him as he called her name.
Vince saw his daughter walking towards him so ignoring the people he was talking to he called after her but when she ignored him it was like a dagger to his heart. Sighing heavily he turned his attention back to his conversation, he would have to try and talk to her later.
Not looking back at all Stephanie walked into the elevator and pressed the button for her floor without turning back around, facing the man who was meant to want her to be happy was just too hard.
