Henry looked between his mother and her soggy bowl of cereal. Any longer and the spoon was going to melt in it, too. She'd been like this for days - brooding. His theories were brewing and one conclusion was very clear at this point and it had nothing to do with Christmas.
"Just admit it already," he said, snatching the bowl away from her. Emma startled and frowned at him.
"Hey. I was eating that," Emma said.
"You were staring into it like it was supposed to tell you a fortune or something. It's dead and mom's going to be pissed if it stains."
"I bought her this whole set of bowls. It's fine."
"No. She gets upset about these. They're important to her."
"I gotta tell her they're not that expensive." Emma murmured into her lukewarm coffee. She gagged silently just before Henry turned away from the sink with a raised eyebrow. He looked too much like Regina when he did that somehow.
"She doesn't think they're super expensive, but they were from you. So, they are important."
"What are you even talking about?" Emma scrunched her brow in confusion. "They're dishes. And what were you talking about I need to admit earlier…?"
"Just hearing that, hm?" Henry snorted. "Admit that you miss mom."
"Admit? I don't need to admit that. I do miss her sometimes. She's my friend."
Henry curled his hands into his hair in frustration and let out a strangled sound. "You both are so dense. Obviously, you're in denial. Mom isn't just your friend and you know that!"
Emma watched him storm out of the room and then out of the house with his book bag. She glanced at the time on her phone seeing that bus was probably outside. However, she was still bewildered by the interaction.
"Did we just have a fight?" She asked herself, cutting through the odd silence that consumed the house when no one was home.
Instead of dwelling on it too much, she finished getting ready for work and left. She played back the conversation a few times during her drive to work. Henry was both not making sense and jumping to strange conclusions, much like a few other people in town.
Her mind was lingering on the dishes when she walked into the station. Hook, Mulan, and Ruby got quiet almost instantly but Emma didn't actually notice it until someone spoke.
"Oh shit. She's in a mood." Ruby whispered but it still stopped Emma on her way to her office.
She glanced around, noting that there was no Leroy sleeping off last night's bender. She narrowed her eyes at the trio and looked to her father who was working that Sudoku puzzle she gave up a week ago.
"Morning, Sherriff," Hook said with a guilty smile. Mulan rolled her eyes and Ruby shook her head. David glanced up from the puzzle he was working and pretended to not know that the "younger" deputies were up to.
Emma gave them an unreadable stare before she disappeared into her office. And both Ruby and Hook managed to keep straight faces through the minute of Emma closing the blinds to her office. The moment she was done they both burst into laughter quiet enough not to bleed through the glass for Emma to hear.
"She's brooding again. How long is she going to continue denying everything?" Ruby leaned back in her chair, propping her feet up on the desk.
"Maybe you should stop pestering her about it," Mulan said, organizing the papers on her desk. "Obviously, there's a reason she doesn't want to consider the ideas you're shoving down her throat."
"She's in love with-" Hook was silenced with a hand over his mouth and the three of them glanced back at David.
He didn't look up from his puzzles but said, "Leave me out of it."
"Come on, old man." Ruby teased. "Your daughter is in extreme denial."
"And that's her business," David said.
"You're supposed to be a meddling dad, David."
"Because I don't do what you do, my relationship with Emma is wonderful. She talks to me a lot more than she used to. I'm happy and she's content. Leave me out of it."
"Maybe she hasn't addressed her sexuality with herself yet?" Mulan suggested.
"Emma knows she's an attractive goof and can get anyone from any team. Isn't that right, Captain?" Ruby gave Hook a light tap on the chest and he swallowed uneasily.
"I'm going on patrol," David said, moving swiftly away from his desk and towards the door with his puzzles still in hand.
Once he was gone Ruby turned to Mulan. "It's your turn to go talk to her."
"Why me?" Mulan asked.
"You really think she wants to talk about Regina with her ex-boyfriend?" Hook gave a knowing shrug and bob of the head.
"I'm sure she doesn't want to talk about Regina at all," Mulan said.
"She won't expect it from you." Ruby pouted at her. "She'll be less grumpy once Regina takes her against a desk one time."
"Fine. Don't ask me for another favor again."
"You got it, friend." Ruby supplied an innocent smile.
Mulan knocked on the door and was given permission to enter. She didn't miss the disinclined tone. Emma was glued to her computer when she slipped in and closed the door behind her. The other woman looked up – Ruby was wrong – and seemed know already what was happening.
"You too, huh?" Emma sighed.
"I was coerced. And I'll add that I'm very reluctant to get involved."
"You're here anyway. So, why not?" Emma shrugged and leaned back in her chair.
"Well, I don't really know what to say. I guess…would it be so bad if you just let yourself think about Regina being more than your friend?"
"I'm pretty sure I would know if Regina was into women," Emma said, sounding defensive.
"Well, there may have been something minor between Regina and Ruby a few years ago." Mulan internally cringe at how shocked Emma looked. She might just give the poor woman a heart attack. "But I heard it from Ruby so she could be lying... but I heard stories in the Enchanted Forest."
"About women?" Emma questioned.
"Uh, yes."
It was impressive how well she recovered. Emma schooled her features but still looked tight and unpleasant. "So, what Regina swings whatever way she feels like in the morning. That doesn't mean I'm attracted to her or she's attracted to me. We're friends. We're co-parents. We have two kids, the last thing we need is that kind of weirdness."
"But that's the thing, isn't it?" Mulan asked, feeling a little more confident. Emma had given her a perfect way to get in, implant some wise words, and get out before she started brooding again. "How many people do you know share children? How many people are as close as you are with her and are not at least dating? If not just married already.
"Your parents. They're married. Hook and Tinkerbell, Ruby and Belle. They're dating. I'm not trying to force this on you, but you should at least think about it. Everyone seems to find a happy ending where they least expect it. Isn't Regina where everyone would least expect it for you?"
The phone started to ring and they both glared at it as it broke the moment.
"Could you get that?" Emma asked averting her eyes back to her computer.
"Sure."
Mulan took the out before Emma could think of something to say in return – to deny anything. Emma's phone lit up once she was alone and it was a reply from Regina. She looked at it and slumped into her chair with a sigh.
So her stomach fluttered every time Regina sent her a wink emoji. There was no way…right?
It was a simple stroll through the park. Maddox was having a ball with the thick layer of snow over everything. However, Regina's worry was the only thing preventing her from fulfilling her ultimate goal of a snow angel. But she wasn't phased by that since she had a new friend to play with.
"I'm sure this is unusual for you. You didn't have to accept my invitation," Regina said, watching Maddox and the dog run through the vacated swings.
"I didn't mind. Marco is out of town for a few days," Jaime said. "If he didn't know any better, he'd think all this time I'm spending with you and Maddox is suspicious."
"I've been a mistress before." Jaime's eyebrows rose and Regina wondered if that was something she shouldn't have said. She thought maybe it would count against her with Maddox's adoption but the worry vanished when Jamie smirked. "It was a week of torture for me and then in the end he wasn't even worth all the trouble. I'm flattered but I don't want another go at that."
"That's unbelievable." Jaime scoffed. "What man gives up a relationship with someone like you?"
"Someone like me?" Regina questioned.
"Samson! Get out of that." Jaime made a wild gesture at her dog and he scampered away from the food hanging out of the nearby trash bin. Both she and Regina watched him until he went back to following Maddox around the park.
"Okay, we're fishing for compliments here." Jaime continued, staying in step. "What I meant was you're obviously a wonderfully attractive woman. And so far, you're very relatable in a very odd yet very wise kind of way."
"Thank you, I think."
"So this man that you were with didn't work out…" Jaime pursed her lips, glancing at Regina. "Have you moved on then? Are you with someone?"
"Me? God, no. I have enough to deal with. A son and now…"
"A daughter?" Jaime asked, sensing the hesitation.
"Yes. I'm always just worried about turning into my mother. The last thing I want is for there to be a cycle of terrible mother/daughter relationships."
"You've never mentioned too much about your mother but I have a feeling you're doing a whole lot better than she did. Maddox is happy." Jaime watched the Husky and Maddox run through the snow under a tree. "With Taylor and Frankie, she was content, I guess. But only with you have I seen her genuinely happy. You're doing fine."
"I appreciate that." Regina allowed herself a small smile.
"Honesty is the best policy. All that aside, as much as I love that you're committed, you're not just a mother, Regina."
"I enjoy being a mother."
"And that's fine. But you're also a woman. With needs."
Regina wasn't a prude but the red growing on her cheeks and the tip of her ears was involuntary. It was obvious where this was going.
"Judging from your physical reaction, you know what I mean?" Jaime asked. Regina nodded. "Has it been that long?"
"I don't know if we should be talking about this. It's inappropriate, Maddox could hear."
"Maddox only has eyes and ears for Samson. She won't hear…or understand. She's five, Regina."
Regina looked at Maddox, hoping the girl would find a reason to come over and want her attention. But the child had been well fed and was well rested so the only hope she had was that Maddox needed to used the bathroom.
"A month?" Jaime asked. Regina turned her lips in a way that gave away that was nowhere near the amount of time since her last. "Three months?...Six?...Oh my god."
"I'm glad you find this amusing."
"I don't think it's funny." Jaime stopped and Regina sighed as she turned to face her. "As your friend, not social worker, I'm telling you to get a babysitter and go get laid."
"I-"
"I'm serious. Sure, there's satisfaction in being a mother but you need bedroom satisfaction, too."
"I can't believe I'm having this conversation with you." Regina chuckled.
"Would you talk about it with Emma?"
"Probably not willingly."
"Well then you got me. Speaking of Emma, I kind of thought that was a thing. You and her."
"Me and Emma? Together?" Jaime nodded, not noticing that maybe Regina was becoming hysterical – maybe not. "Oh, no. No. That wouldn't be…possible."
"You seem close."
"She's the mother of my son. My friend. We've known each other for a long time."
"You could fool anyone, though. I mean you have some chemistry, at least." Samson seemed to be getting too preoccupied with barking at someone's messy snowman for Maddox's liking and Jaime started to move towards them as Regina stayed in place. "If she's ever an option…"
"Why's that?" Regina asked.
Jaime shrugged – still unaware of the shitstorm she just started. "Come on, anybody could say she's one of the most attractive women they've ever met. Anyone could say the same about you too."
Regina watched Jaime turn her full attention to reprimanding Samson for knocking over the snowman that Maddox – the sweetheart she was – was trying to fix.
Emma? Her and Emma? Together?
Hell, she even whispered that in her mind like that was the most scandalous, complicated idea ever. And it was. There was Henry to think about and Maddox, too. If she were to even consider a crazy thing like dating her friend, the risk of a muddled ending to said theoretical relationship would complicate things with their children. One of her nightmares was that if something happened that couldn't be fixed between herself and Emma, Henry would feel the need to choose a side.
And then there was the fact that no way was Emma interested in women. She would've noticed. Emma would've told her. But then again, Regina's never mention her preference – or lack of preference, really – to Emma either.
Emma was attractive. That was fact but…if there was any kind of chemistry Jaime was talking about, she would've picked up on something from Emma. Regina would know. She was still new to some things of this world but her gaydar was calibrated and strong. The Evil Queen was master at using sexual tension as a weapon so she would know if there was anything between her and Emma.
Right?
"You really haven't changed much at all."
Regina turned on her heel and her confusing thoughts vanished, leaving her stunned. She'd always speculated and played it off but there was no way she could explain away the woman standing in front of her.
"Mal," Regina said in a hushed tone. There was some unexplained reason for Maleficent to always invade her personal space whenever they had a moment alone. She sighed to herself. Jaime brought the woman here just by mentioning her lack of a night life for so long.
"Did that curse make you immortal, too?" Mal asked, swiped away a strand of hair from her face. "I'm dying grays now."
"You're alive? Here?"
"Oh, now I know you're much more articulate than that, dear. Yes and yes."
"But how?" Regina questioned.
Mal sighed. "Rumpelstiltskin. He wanted to make a deal and I refused." Regina opened her mouth to ask something else and Mal held up a hand to stop her. "And the last time I saw him was months and months ago. Last I heard he was in Budapest. Doing what? I don't care. If he's ever up to no good, I'll roast him myself. Are we done on him?"
Regina nodded, deciding she'd pry that subject out of the woman another time.
"Good. I've missed you, my friend," Mal said in a voice that brought Regina way back.
To just before magic. Just before Mal aided in her exploration of many, many things. One of those including intimate relationships. Maleficent was a force and very rarely was she gentle and soft with anyone. Even Regina. That's how she was sure Mal meant what she said – sending someone to slay her and all aside.
"Gina!" Maddox called from somewhere behind them and Regina didn't hesitate to give her full attention.
Maddox was holding a big snowball in her hands as she stood next to what was going to be another snowman.
"Go ahead. She's quite adorable and hard to say no to, I'm sure." Mal reached into her coat for something as she spoke, those same soft eyes inspecting Maddox from afar.
"Both are very true."
Mal leaned forward, breath warm against Regina's ear. She slipped something into her pocket and said, "We can talk another time."
She pulled back before Regina could reply and she felt the card against her fingers in her coat.
"I'm free anytime you need me," Mal said. And she smirked.
And just fuck.
Of course, that wasn't the last she'd see of Mal. Other than pondering how the woman got into corporate consulting, she stared deeply into that card wondering if it was a good idea to call.
Calling meant that they'd most likely end up catching up over dinner and the past is proof that half the time it escalates far beyond dinner. Although that wouldn't be so bad, at least this way if any escalation occurred it wouldn't be awkward. Getting to know someone was more hassle than she'd like to be involved in. Mal was comfortable. Mal knew her well enough already.
By Friday, ten days before Christmas, Regina had called and was immediately seduced into dinner with Maleficent. Emma easily agreed to babysit, especially after she heard Henry protested the need for her supervision and that he could handle Maddox for a few hours.
As sweet as Maddox was, she'd eat him alive after an hour. Her energy was nonstop and he was already sick of watching Frozen and Tangled on repeat every day.
Emma watching them was the only thing that would bring her enough comfort to actually enjoy the night out.
"So, like it's a date?" Emma asked as she laid on Regina's bed with Maddox lounging on her back. At least the early attachment meant Emma would be subjected to watching Tangled and Henry was free to be cooped up in his room.
"No, no. It's just a…I'm catching up with someone." Regina said, hoping she didn't hear the stammer of her denial.
"You're dressed fancier than usual. What's the restaurant?" Emma passed her phone back to Maddox as it was her turn to play the game they were trying to beat.
"Uh, Vincenti's, I believe."
"That's really expensive. Like you need a reservation a year in advance and a bottle of wine cost a thousand bucks." Emma's eyebrow nearly disappeared above into her hair. "Regina, that's a date. That's serious…are you going to marry whoever this is?"
"What? No." Regina slipped into sharp stiletto, checking her hair in the mirror. Maddox dropped Emma's phone back into her hands and settled down on her back again, jostling the woman so she could get comfortable. "That would be ridiculous."
Honestly, if things had been much different Regina had a feeling it wasn't impossible she'd be in a union with said date – if villains even got the recognition of such a thing.
"You haven't said who this person is. If they're an old friend, it's obviously someone from…" Emma glanced at Maddox in the reflection of her phone. They were still working on the whole Enchanted Forest, fairy tales thing. "You know where. Who is it?"
"It's…Maleficent."
Emma's eyes widened and she cleared her throat. "The, uh…the dragon?"
"That would be correct."
"But I thought-"
"So did I but I'm not really complaining. She's a dear friend and I'm actually looking forward to meeting."
"Yeah. You deserve some fun." If Emma sounded nervous and worried, Regina didn't notice or opted not to say anything about it.
"What's on the agenda for you three?" Regina asked.
"Don't know about Henry but Maddox and I are keeping it classy." Just like that her doubts were put on the back burner. Maddox snatched the phone back, growing impatient since the adult conversation was disrupting her turn to play. "Mac and cheese and dino nuggets paired with a nice Toy Story marathon."
"Classy, indeed." Regina chuckled.
"Mad Max, honey mustard or barbecue sauce?" Emma asked.
"Barbecue," Maddox said, not sounding too interested in anything they were talking about.
"That's my girl." Emma praised instantly, smirking over at Regina, who rolled her eyes.
She grabbed her clutch and was hesitant to say she was now ready to walk out the door to go meet Mal. If she couldn't get out the door to do this, then surely Maddox would believe she needed to again reassure her that they'd be back in each other's company very soon – because she still did it up until her last day of school.
"Well I think I'm off now."
"We can walk you to the door," Emma said. She managed to smoothly maneuver herself around and Maddox ended up in her lap. "Hang tight."
The girl braced herself as Emma stood up from the bed and shortly went back to the game. They followed Regina out, passing by Henry's barricaded room.
"Henry, say bye to your mom." Emma called.
He quickly appeared from his room and hurried over to Regina, giving her a half hug and a kiss on the cheek. "Bye mom. Love you," he said, scurrying back to his room. Video games from the sound of all the explosions coming from his room.
"Love you, too, Henry. Don't stay up too late," Regina said.
"No promises, but I'll try."
"I'll make sure he's not up all night," Emma said just as they reached the front door. She noticed Regina seemed to be reluctant even as she put on her coat. "If you really don't want to go, you don't have to. You don't have to prove anything to anyone."
"No, it's fine. I'm…worried about Maddox."
The child looked up from the phone and frowned at Regina. Everyone here was unaware there was a problem for Maddox. And truthfully, Regina probably wouldn't be able to say why Maddox needed to be worried over more than usual.
"She'll be fine. She likes me more than you anyway." Emma joked and Regina pursed her lips. "You know I'm kidding. Maddox is my best pal. We're going to have fun, right Munchkin?"
"Uhuh." Maddox agreed. "Lots of fun and chicken nuggets."
"I suppose it's just me. I don't want to be late, then." Regina leaned forward and Maddox happily accept the kiss on her nose and forehead.
And once again, Regina would deny it ever happened…but it felt almost natural, instinct to do what she did – for a second time.
Emma was caught off guard by the quick peck Regina planted on her cheek. She was stunned long enough for Regina give Maddox one last fleeting goodbye, blowing a kiss before she escaped out the door.
"Um…uh…" Emma shook her head trying not to blurt out any random words. "Uh…chicken nuggets?"
Maddox nodded with a toothy smile, completely missing how thrown and confused Emma was.
Surprisingly, Regina was unphased by how intensely Mal looked at her through three whole minutes of silence. But it wasn't real silence when there was so many light taps of forks and the noise of wine glasses.
"Are you going to stare at me all night?" Regina asked, taking a sip from her glass. It was a thousand dollars for a bottle of wine and neither her or Mal flinched at the news.
"It depends on if you have other plans for us tonight." Mal smirked and raised an eyebrow. "Hm? I'm getting to know you again. You're different."
"By staring at me?"
"A little. You're the same and different. Lighter."
"You mean from last time we saw each other?" Regina shifted in her chair reaching for her glass again.
"You were in a dark place. Darker than I was willing to go."
"It's gotten darker since but I think it's better now."
"You seem reluctant with the details, so I won't pry, dear." Mal ate a small bite of her pasta, yet still managed to get through more of her food than Regina had. "I'll find out eventually. But enough with that. What would you like to talk about to get your mind off whatever you're avoiding?"
Just like that Regina was thinking about that kiss on the cheek. She wondered if she could get away with it this time because she had no explanation for it. She didn't have an explanation that wouldn't be too revealing of her deepest thoughts that she tried to evade. Hopefully, by the time she returned Maddox will have worn Emma down and stuffed her with a lot of dino nuggets, so the night would be a blur by morning. That was serious wishful thinking though.
"Regina?" Mal questioned. "Are you feeling okay? You're a little red."
"Oh, I…it's nothing. I'm fine. Uh, how did you get into consulting?" Regina asked. "Unusual choice."
"It wasn't the easiest but with a little of Rumpelstiltskin's money, it wasn't the hardest. The worst part was the money spent on building an identity. And corporate? Well, you know me."
Regina chuckled and nodded. "I do. I'm surprised you're not a lawyer."
"Oh, I certainly gave it some thought, dear. But in my line of work they need you a bit less than a lawyer. I can live with that."
"How did you end up with Rumple's money?" Regina asked. "How did you come back after…Emma?"
"Oh, the pretty one?" Regina's eyes widened and Mal chose not to notice it. "She has annoyingly precise aim."
"I apologize for that. All of that."
"All is forgiven." Mal quickly waved it away. "Anyhow, the Dark One paid my lair under the library a visit and he wanted a favor. Naturally, I refused and there was nothing he could do about it. I was already resurrected and there was the threat of your mother that distracted him. Unfortunately, that woman isn't someone I wanted to deal with at the time so I left with hidden treasures."
"He just let you go?"
"I doubt he would've wanted to fight me over a antique lamp worth half a million dollars. I had a feeling he wasn't too interested in money."
"So Rumple is just gone?"
"Not forever, no. But isn't it nice not to have to worry about him?"
Regina nodded, slowly letting the conversation and alcohol take that kiss elsewhere in her mind. Because before she even realized they were deep into explaining their new lives, they were sharing dessert and red wine. By then she felt relaxed and warm – and there were plenty of aphrodisiacs on the table between them.
Her mind drifted off to what would happen once the last bite of the dark chocolate mousse was gone.
Mal seemed to be avoiding it, gliding her spoon around the edges of the plate. She slipped a finger to the corner of the square dish and nudged it forward to Regina. Her hand gently released the spoon, fingers moving to ghost across the back of Regina's hand and pulled the woman out of her momentary daydream. The behavior was unlike her but a truth she was unwilling to admit was that she was slowly spiraling when she thought too much about Emma and cheek kisses.
"Regina?" Mal's eyes connected with Regina's. "Do I make you nervous?"
"You know me too well," Regina said, "Anyone would be cautious."
"As true as that may be, I wouldn't hurt you."
"Is this a date, Maleficent?" Regina questioned.
"I offered." Mal drew a single, slow circle over Regina's hand. "We agreed to catch up over dinner. After the check comes the night can end however you like, old friend."
Jamie hit the nail on the head with her assumptions – it'd been far too long since the last time.
"Just once…"
"Whatever you need, my dear." Mal smirked but not her usual smug smirk, it was a soft, knowing smirk. She barely needed to move, let alone make eye contact with anyone to get a waiter's attention. "Check please."
Maybe the poor boy sensed all the tension at their table, but he booked it to and from the table with the check. In all his politeness and nervousness that is.
Regina liked to think her desires weren't so obvious as she mastered subtlety faster than anything. But it'd been a while and dark chocolate and red wine were warm in her veins. And she couldn't lie to herself that it was the horniest she'd ever been while not thinking about –
…well she wasn't going to unpack that dirty box. Not tonight.
It was reasonable to be concerned.
Even though Regina denied it being a date, she didn't seem sure about it. And then Regina never texted her anything all night. She also wasn't home even by the time Emma woke up to Maddox grumpily climbing into bed with her at six in the morning. And now two hours later, Regina was still AWOL from her mommy duties.
Maddox was lucky she could do breakfast decently.
But none of that meant anything. She was just worried that Regina was in trouble.
After Regina getting arrested, she was forever granted the right to be worry. However, that wasn't really to convince herself, was it? Doing extensive searching on Maleficent all throughout Toy Story 2 was only out of worry. Almost calling an old buddy of hers and asking them for deep scanning of Maleficent's info was just out friendly worry.
And when the front door finally opened at half past nine, Emma didn't glare at the woman briefly.
She was just worried.
Emma occupied herself with finishing the last few waffles while Maddox enjoyed her food at the island.
Regina made her appearance, looking both tired and refreshed. She inspected the activity going on in the kitchen before glancing at Emma's profile. Her cheeks grew warm with the kiss slamming hard into the front of her mind again.
"Good morning," she said, opting to avoid Emma and walked around to Maddox. The girl beamed up at her and Regina rested her cheek on Maddox's head. She exhaled deeply through her nose and pressed her lips against her temple. "Hi, baby."
"Hi, Gina. I missed you," Maddox said.
"I missed you too, love," Regina said. "Were you good for Emma?"
"Yeah."
"Did you have fun?"
"Lots."
"That's good."
Regina kissed her temple one more time and then pushed herself to approach Emma. The woman looked up from the stove and smiled at her and Regina returned it, feeling like she'd gotten away with yet another cheek kiss. She wasn't mad about it. "Thank you for staying to entertain."
"Of course. Anytime. It was fun." Emma shrugged lightly. "Did you have a good time?"
"I did actually. I needed that."
"Everyone does. Breakfast?"
"Yes. That would be nice. I'm going to go have a shower. I'll be right down…where's Henry?"
"He scarfed down his food a few minutes ago and hurried to finish his online gaming binge. Your kid is a weird dude."
"Oh, now he's mine." Regina scoffed. "I'll be down in a bit."
Emma watched her leave. Her eyes lingered for a moment until the connection was broken from Regina disappearing. She met Maddox's gaze and the girl narrowed her eyes.
"Don't look at me like that," Emma said. "Whatever you're thinking, don't."
Maddox shrugged her shoulders and turned her eyes to her Rubik's cube on the counter in front of where Mr. Waffles was sitting. She was five but she wasn't blind, something was going on.
This note may obviously fall on deaf ears (& blind eyes) so I won't even bother address said persons. So, to those of you who are patient and actually read, there will be a few DragonQueen casual encounters but SwanQueen is endgame. SwanQueen is the only exclusive romantic relationship either Regina or Emma will be in during this story.
