"Blackpaw, we need to move you and the kits." Spiderpaw meowed to his mate urgently. His voice quivered with anticipation and he shifted his weight uneasily as the battle raged on outside the den.

At the back of the den, Cloudfang and Boldpaw were pulling out herbs and wrapping them up in wet leaves for the injured warriors. Cloudfang hissed as he dropped a few juniper berries and raced to the store room to get more. Boldpaw sighed and padded to her sister's side, nodding to what Spiderpaw had told Blackpaw.

"They aren't safe in here," Her words were quiet and steady. "Who knows why ShadowClan is attacking? If they are fighting over land or even a dead cat, they may decide to attack any venerable kit."

Blackpaw glared up at her. "And who says I won't protect them?" She hissed through bared teeth.

The medicine cat apprentice took a step back and shook out her pelt. "Fine. Lets just take the kits somewhere where ShadowClan won't try and get them." She reached in and pulled the deformed kit out of the nest and stood at the entrance to the den.

Spiderpaw pulled out the black tom and followed Blackpaw's sister, while the queen stood up with a grunt and followed behind them both. Spiderpaw looked outside and, after making sure the coast was clear for them to move out, swiftly carried the kit around the edge of the camp, the two she-cats following quickly.

Blackpaw stared out at the clearing where cats were clawing each other, no one paying attention to three secretive cats sneaking out of camp with two newborn kits. She hadn't thought the birthing would happen in this kind of environment; she had hoped for it to happen during the night, while everyone was peaceful and all went well, with her two healthy kits. Growling, she slipped out of camp and raced behind the other two cats.

They hadn't gone far before Spiderpaw stopped them by the stump he and Blackpaw had slept by the night before. Moving quickly, he set the she-kit he had been holding down and raced off to find a bit of moss for Blackpaw to curl up on. The kit mewed loudly and searched blindly for her mother. Blackpaw watched as the kit's two tails waved behind it and stayed where she was, unmoving. She wanted to help it, to take it away along with the tom and hide them away so no one else to harm them or touch them. But she just... couldn't.

"Here." Spiderpaw padded up with a clump of moss in his jaws and dropped it in the hollow, using his paws to create a makeshift nest for Blackpaw. Stepping back, the queen curled up within it and watched as both her kits were set at her belly, each one searching for the milk. Their little ears were still folded back and their tiny eyes were shut tightly. Their small noses quivered with each sharp breath they took.

Blackpaw watched her kits suckle a little before looking up at Spiderpaw. "What do you want to name them?"

The gray tom crouched in front of his mate and licked her forehead. "Anything you'd like, dearest."

The apprentice stared down at the two and thought for a few moments, thinking on every possibility. Finally she decided and looked back up at Spiderpaw. "Silverkit for the she-kit, and Crowkit for the tom."

He purred and looked at them thoughtfully. "They're beautiful."

"Spiderpaw, we need to get back and help," Boldpaw meowed from behind them and Spiderpaw sighed.

"Alright. Are you going to be alright, Blackpaw?" He asked.

The queen nodded. "I'll be here when you get back, and there wont be a scratch on me."

The tom nodded, gave her one last lick on her cheek, and galloped after the medicine cat towards camp.

The forest was silent except for the soft chirping of birds and the distant cries of cats. Blackpaw was glad for the peace and watched the unsuspecting squirrels race passed her hiding place. She sighed and, after a while of sitting alone with two now sleeping kits, became somewhat bored.

Use your gift, Blackpaw, a soft voice in her head told her. She had tuned down her hearing since a few days before, and now she was feeling the need for it.

Maybe this is what the prophecy meant. Maybe this is the battle me and the other cat are suppose to help finish. She thought excitedly, but then remembered the kits. No, not this battle... But still, maybe I should spy on the ShadowClan cats back in their camp...

An idea sparked in her head and she turned her ears in the direction of ShadowClan territory. It wasn't too hard for her to turn on her far-hearing, and she was able to hear every voice in the camp.

"Flakepaw, get back to the training hall or else Mudstar will rename you as Fakepaw!" A loud voice called out and Blackpaw remembered she could also see into their camp. Quickly she looked within and saw a golden tom with a sort of lion's mane standing in the center of what she guessed was the ShadowClan training hollow. A smaller black tom came racing up to the older cat and the golden tom swatted the younger cat's ears, making him yowl in pain.

"That's what you get for coming late. Next time I won't be using sheathed claws." He hissed and led the apprentice deeper into the hollow.

Another cat entered her vision and padded to the golden cat's side. "It's time to go. Mudstar needs reinforcements."

The golden cat snarled with pleasure. "So we're taking the territory?"

The second cat nodded. "Yes. Those ThunderClan cats are such mouse-brains. I can't believe they'd lower their defenses just as leaf-bare is coming."

"Of course they would. They're ThunderClan! Those cats have always been stupid." The golden tom chuckled, then turned back to the cats in the hollow. "Come on! Lets go take ThunderClan territory!"

Blackpaw withdrew her hearing away from ShadowClan camp and gasped. She had to warn her Clan. Quietly, hoping not to disturb her kits, stood up and jumped out of the hollow. She turned back to the two and sniffed them each, making sure they were still alright. Once she had check them both out and had confirmed they were safe, she set out back towards camp.

"Goldenstar!" Blackpaw sped into camp, ignoring the few ShadowClan cats that hissed at her as she plowed between them and their attackers.

The golden leader was face to face with a small black cat who snarled at her. Goldenstar snarled back and, baring her claws, gave the cat a slash on it's shoulder. Yowling in pain, she backed away spitting in anger, but turned tail and raced for the camp entrance, turning the corner quickly and disappearing into the forest. The leader looked back at Blackpaw and nodded.

"What is it, Blackpaw?" She asked, coming close to the queen and keeping her eye out for any coming attackers.

The black she-cat panted a little bit. "It's ShadowClan, ma'am-"

"Well of course it's ShadowClan!" Goldenstar hissed.

"No, I mean," She shook out her fur. "ShadowClan is sending a second wave of cats right now. We need to drive them into the forest and towards their camp so the other wave will be surprised by our location."

Goldenstar nodded. "Good thinking." Without another word, she dove into the clash of cats and was gone from sight.

Blackpaw sighed and, using the shadows from the walls of the camp to help hide her, slipped away from the scene and raced into the forest to get to her kits. It was too far, and she was relieved when she recognized the tree. Padding up to it, she turned the corner and was about to say hello to the kits when she gasped at what she saw.

The hollow was still the same, except for the deep scent of ShadowClan all around and the lack of kits. She hissed with fury and spun around to see if she could spot the cats who had taken her children. Her tail lashed hard behind her and her anger boiled up within her.

"ShadowClan will pay."

'Kay, sorry if that was a little to rushed of an ending, I was wanted to get to this part quickly. Anyway, hope you love it and please keep reviewing! The next chapter will be up shortly, along with the next chapters for Millie's Choice, The Dream of Sisters: The Journey, and The Unknowns, since I will be focusing on those stories for a few months. Also, please read my Waggit Returns book so that it gets known to the world cause it's the first in it's category. Anyway, keep looking out for chapter 10!
