This is a story my friend Generalhyna helped me create. A new student named Bella is transferring to Canterlot High. She wants to start with a clean slate and leave all her past problems behind. But are they too large to escape? Or will they reoccur all over again?

10. The Newest Hero

"Let's duel!" said the three duelists.

Sunset LP: 4000

MacKenzie LP: 4000

Turn 1: MacKenzie

"The first move is mine!" said MacKenzie. "I activate Guarded Treasure! First, I discard five cards, (Bountiful Artemis, Dark Mimic LV1, Dark Mimic LV2, Skelengel, and Electromagnetic Turtle) then draw two cards. Now during each of my draw phases, I can draw two cards instead of one! I shall set a monster, place card face down, and end my turn."

Turn 2: Bella

"Okay, my turn!" said Bella. "I summon Elemental Hero Sparkman in defense mode! I wonder what kind of strategy he's gonna use? Guess I'll find out soon enough. I end my turn."

Turn 3: Sunset

"Then it's my turn!" said Sunset. "I will summon a monster face down. That's all I can do for now."

Turn 4: MacKenzie

"Back to me," said MacKenzie. "First, I draw two cards, then I'll place them both face down. Next, I shall reveal my hidden monster, Morphing Jar! Now we all must send our hands to the grave, and draw five new cards. Perfect, one of the cards I drew was Watapon, so I can special summon him to the field."

"Okay," said Sunset. "Well one of the cards you made me discard was Skull-Mark Ladybug, so I gain 1000 life points!"

Sunset LP: 5000

Bella LP: 4000

MacKenzie LP: 4000

"Big deal," said MacKenzie. "I will now activate one of the cards I set before flipping over my Morphing Jar, Pot of Greed! Now I draw two cards. Then I'll activate Jar of Greed to draw one more. Now I shall sacrifice Watapon and my Jar to summon Tragoedia!" MacKenzie then laughed maniacally.

"Tragoedia?!" asked Bella. "I read about this monster in history class! It was a powerful Ka that came from a city called Kul Elna in 3,000 B.C. The place where the seven millennium items were created."

"Millennium items?" asked Sunset. "Just like the necklace I bought."

"Tragoedia was created after village's massacre, then it tried to destroy the Pharaoh's kingdom," continued Bella. "But the Pharaoh's High Priests sealed him away inside a stone tablet."

"So how did he get out?!" asked Sunset.

"A while back, archeologists found the burial chamber where his tablet had been sealed in," said Bella. "I remember watching it on the news with Thorax. The archeologists then talked about the legend of Tragoedia in a history special. They claimed it was mythology."

"Guess it wasn't," said Twilight.

"How right you are," said Tragoedia through MacKenzie. "I've been jumping from host to host to get the Legendary Planet cards. And once I defeat you two, I will finally have all ten! Then I'll use their power to fully resurrect myself and unleash infinite terror and destruction on all thepeople of this world!"

"That'll never happen!" said Bella.

"You'll have to get through us first!" said Sunset.

"Very well!" said MacKenzie. "By the way, Tragoedia gains 600 ATK and DEF points for each card in my hand. I currently have six, so he has 3600!" (Tragoedia ATK: ? – 3600) "Now, attack her Sparkman! I end my turn."

Turn 5: Bella

"Okay, I draw!" said Bella. "I play O – Oversoul to bring back Sparkman in attack mode! Then I'll play Polymerization to fuse him along with the Elemental Hero Bladedge in my hand to form, Elemental HERO Plasma Vice!"

"I knew you would fuse," said MacKenzie. "So I put this in my deck, Anti-Fusion Device!"

"Oh shoot!" said Bella.

"I watched you duel while you were at North Academy, and learned a lot of your strategies," said MacKenzie. "I must admit, you're quite a powerful duelist. But you've also very predictable."

"Whatever," said Bella. "I summon Elemental Hero Wildheart in defense mode and end my turn."

Turn 6: Sunset

"My move!" said Sunset. "Now I'll reveal my face down monster, Double Coston! Then I'll sacrifice him to bring out my favorite monster, The Supremacy Sun!"

"Excellent," thought MacKenzie. "Now just one more planet to go. Just so you know, your Sun is way too weak to take on my monster."

"Not for long," said Sunset. "I play Blustering Winds, this card increases my creature's ATK power by 1000 until my next standby phase!" (The Supremacy Sun ATK: 3000 – 4000) "Destroy that dark demon!"

"I don't think so!" said MacKenzie. "I activate the effect of Sphere Kuriboh from my hand! By discarding him, I can change your monster to defense mode!" (Tragoedia ATK: 3600 – 3000)

"Shoot!" said Sunset. "I guess I'll place one card face down and end my turn."

Turn 7: MacKenzie

"Very well, I draw twice!" said MacKenzie. (Tragoedia ATK: 3000 – 4200) "Now I play Infinite Cards! Now none of us will have a limit to how many cards we can hold." (Tragoedia ATK: 4200 – 3600)

"Oh no!" said Bella and Sunset in unison.

"Next I play Cup of Ace!" said MacKenzie. (Tragoedia ATK: 3600 – 3000) "Now I can toss a coin, if it's heads, I can draw two cards. If it's tails, you two can draw." The result was heads. "Wonderful, now Tragoedia gains 1200 more points." (Tragoedia ATK: 3000 – 4200) "Now I shall discard Koitsu to activate another of Tragoedia's effects." (Tragoedia ATK: 4200 – 3600) "By discarding a level ten monster, I can take control of your level ten Supremacy Sun!"

"What?!" asked Sunset. "Just like that?!"

"Of course," answered MacKenzie. "Now I'll switch him to attack mode, and eliminate you with your own-"

"Not a chance!" said Sunset. "I activate Threating Roar! Now you can't attack either of us!"

"Blast it!" said MacKenzie. "Oh well, at least I get to keep your monster. I place one card face down and end my turn." (Tragoedia ATK: 3600 – 3000)

Turn 8: Bella

"Back to me," said Bella. "Alright! I activate Fusion Recovery to return Bladedge and Polymerization to my hand. Now I'll fuse the Elemental Hero Neos in my hand with Bladedge to form Elemental Hero Neos Knight! And when he's summoned, he gains half the ATK points of the warrior I fused him with." (Elemental Hero Neos Knight ATK: 2500 – 3800) "Wait to you hear his other effect. He can attack twice, each turn! I'm sorry, Sunset."

"Don't worry about it," said Sunset. "Remember my monster's effect? I just discard next turn, and I get him back."

"Oh yeah," said Bella. "I did kinda forget. Neos Knight, attack!"

"Activate trap!" said MacKenzie. "Breakthrough Skill! Now all of your monster's effects are negated!" (Elemental Hero Neos Knight ATK: 3800 – 2500)

"Damn!" said Bella as her monster was destroyed.

Sunset LP: 5000

MacKenzie LP: 4000

"Sorry Bella," said MacKenzie. "You're gonna have to do better than that."

"Alright, fine!" said Bella. She then held up her hand with the intent of sending him against the wall.

But a clear black monster-like arm shot out of Mackenzie's body. A purple mist then came out and canceled out Bella's psychic powers.

"What the?" asked Bella.

Mackenzie's eyes closed as a large clear version of Tragoedia rose out of his back.

"You think your abilities can help you?!" asked Tragoedia in deep monstrous voice. "You're way out of your league!"

Bella's hands began to quake with fear.

"Don't worry, Bella!" said Sunset. "No matter how powerful he is, I know we can take him. We just have to believe in our decks, and in each other. And I definitely believe in you!"

Bella began to relax. "You're absolutely right! We can do this!"

"Atta girl!" said Sunset. "Besides, he's just another bully. And all bullies need to be taught a lesson."

"Then let's teach it," said Bella. "I end my turn with a face down."

Turn 9: Sunset

"My move," said Sunset. (The Supremacy Sun ATK: 4000 – 3000) "Alright! I banish Double Coston and The Calculator that you made me discard with your Morphing Jar to special summon Black Luster Soldier – Envoy of the Beginning! Then I'll equip him with the Lucky Iron Axe, which gives him 500 extra points." (Black Luster Soldier – Envoy of the Beginning ATK: 3000 – 3500) "Now, attack his Tragoedia!"

"Nice try," said MacKenzie. "But I activate the effect of Electromagnetic Turtle from my graveyard! By banishing him, I can end your battle phase!"

"Crud!" said Sunset. "Alright, I end my turn."

Turn 10: MacKenzie

"Music to my ears," said MacKenzie. (Tragoedia ATK: 3000 – 4200) "Now I play Pot of Avarice, when means I return five monsters, then draw two more cards!" (Tragoedia ATK: 4200 – 3600) (Morphing Jar, Dark Mimic LV1, Dark Mimic LV2, Skelengel, and Sphere Kuriboh) (Tragoedia ATK: 3600 – 4800) "Now I play Raigeki to destroy all your monsters!" (Tragoedia ATK: 4800 – 4200)

"What?!" asked Bella.

"No way!" said Sunset.

"Oh yes," said MacKenzie. He then pointed at Sunset. "Tragoedia, send that little brat in setting sun!"

Sunset braced herself for the attack.

"Oh no ya don't!" said Bella. "I activate The Forceful Checkpoint! When you attack, I get to check your hand, and if there's a monster, I negate your attack, then you have to discard a monster card."

"Fine!" said MacKenzie as he revealed his hand. There was only one monster. Broww, Huntsman of the Dark World.

"Yes!" said Bella. "Wait…uh-oh…" (Tragoedia ATK: 4200 – 3600)

"Yes…" said MacKenzie. "Now I have to discard my Huntsman, which means I get to draw two more cards!" (Tragoedia ATK: 3600 – 4800)

"Thank you for blocking his attack, Bella," said Sunset.

"You're welcome," said Bella. "I'm just sorry that it kinda, backfired."

"Don't worry," said Sunset. "We can still take him."

"I beg to differ," said MacKenzie. "Especially you, Bella. You ruined my attack, so I will attack you with my Supremacy Sun!"

"No!" cried Sunset.

"Aahh!" cried Bella.

Sunset LP: 5000

MacKenzie LP: 4000

"Are you okay?" asked Sunset.

"I've been better," answered Bella. "But I'll live."

"Happy to hear it," said Sunset.

"Oh I assure you two, you won't be happy for long," said MacKenzie. "I place one card face down and end my turn. Your move, Bella." (Tragoedia ATK: 4800 – 4200)

Turn 11: Bella

"It's about time," said Bella. "I summon Wroughtweiler in defense mode and end my turn."

Turn 12: Sunset

"Then it's my turn!" said Sunset. "Alright! This trap could win us the duel! I summon Flame Ruler in defense mode, and place one card face down. I end my turn."

Turn 13: MacKenzie

"Then I draw two more cards!" said MacKenzie. (Tragoedia ATK: 4200 – 5400) "Now I play another Cup of Ace!" (Tragoedia ATK: 5400 – 4800)

"Oh no, not again!" said Bella.

"Don't worry," said Sunset. "He can't get lucky all the time."

"Oh really?" asked MacKenzie. "Let's test that theory!" The result was tails.

"Yes!" said Bella.

"Told ya!" said Sunset. "Now we both get to draw."

"Not quite," said MacKenzie. "I activate my face down, Appropriate! Now whenever one of you draws cards outside your draw phase, I can draw two cards from my deck!"

"I don't believe this…" said Sunset.

"Son of a gun…" said Bella.

"Come on girls," said MacKenzie. "Be a good sports and draw with me." (Tragoedia ATK: 4800 – 6000)

Sunset silently drew two cards.

"Well thanks," said Bella as she drew.

"You're welcome," said MacKenzie. "Now I play Harpie's Feather Duster to destroy Sunset's face down card." (Tragoedia ATK: 6000 – 5400)

"No! My Magic Cylinder!" thought Sunset. "Well, there goes our comeback. Now whatta we do?"

"You're probably asking yourselves, now whatta we do?" said MacKenzie imitating Sunset. "Lose! That's what! Now I play my third Cup of Ace!" (Tragoedia ATK: 5400 – 4800)

"Another one?!" asked Bella.

"Now because of his trap, he can draw regardless of the outcome," said Sunset. The result was heads.

"Yes!" said MacKenzie. (Tragoedia ATK: 4800 – 6000) "And that's just the beginning. Now I play Magic Planter to send my Appropriate to the grave and draw two more!" (Tragoedia ATK: 6000 – 5400) – (Tragoedia ATK: 5400 – 6600)

"Aw come on!" said the girls.

"Now my monsters, attack their puny defenders!" ordered MacKenzie.

"Thanks," said Bella. "When Wroughtweiler is destroyed, I can return Wildheart and Polymerization back to my hand."

"You'll need them," said MacKenzie with a chuckle. "I place three cards face down and end my turn." (Tragoedia ATK: 6600 – 4800)

Turn 14: Bella

"Okay, I draw!" said Bella. "And I play Pot of Greed so now I can draw some cards. Cool, I play Magical Mallet, which lets me take all the cards I don't want, and put them back in my deck, reshuffle, then draw the same number of cards. I play Future Fusion! Now I can send monsters from my deck to the graveyard, then special summon a fusion monster in two turns. I choose Elemental HERO Divine Neos, so I have to send Elemental HERO Neos Alius, Neo Space Pathfinder, Neo-Spacian dark Panther, Destiny Hero – Doom Lord, and Elemental Hero Neo Bubbleman packing. But why wait, when I can activate Miracle Contact! This lets me return all the monsters I need to summon Divine Neos back to my deck, and then summon him right now!"

"Whoa!" said the girls.

"Wow…" said Sunset. "Cool."

"But not good enough," said MacKenzie. "I activate Fiendish Chain! Now your monster can't attack or use its effects!"

"Damn it!" said Sunset.

"Don't worry Sunset," said Bella. "I have a feeling he might do that. So I came prepared with a backup plan. I play Polymerization to fuse the Elemental Heroes Ocean and Woodsman in my hand to form Elemental Hero Stratos!"

"Just what I was waiting for," thought Tragoedia.

"And now I activate his effect!" continued Bella. "By tributing my Divine Neos, I can add his ATK power to my Stratos until the end of the turn." (Elemental Hero Stratos ATK: 2500 – 5000)

"5000 ATK points?" asked Sunset. "Awesome!"

"But still not good enough!" said MacKenzie. "I banish Breakthrough Skill from my graveyard to negate your Hero's effect!"

"What?! NO!" cried Bella and Sunset. (Elemental Hero Stratos ATK: 5000 – 2500)

Tragoedia laughed through MacKenzie. "Did you two brats really think you actually had a chance at beating a spirit like ME?!"

"I guess not…" said Bella.

"Yes we can!" said Sunset. "No matter what happens, just never give up, Bella! My friends and I have defeated several different monsters in the past. And in each fight, we all had moments where we thought we would fail. But still, we kept going. Because we asked ourselves, if we can't defeat this thing, then everyone else will suffer. We will never turn our backs on our friends! And that goes for you too."

"Thank you… Sunset…" said Bella. "But I've never battled any monsters in my life."

"It's okay," said Sunset. "The seven of us didn't know what to do either in our first battle."

"So… how do you win?" asked Bella.

"We just kept trying," said Sunset. "And looking for ways to defeat our foe. Eventually we found one. And if we keep drawing, we'll find a card or strategy that can beat this freak."

Bella looked at her deck. Suddenly, the spirits of her duel monster friends appeared all around to give her support. Bella then smiled. "Then let's keep going!"

"Right on!" said Sunset.

"Stupid," said MacKenzie. "Very stupid! The correct answer would have been to just quit! Nothing can defeat me! Nothing!"

Turn 15: Sunset

"We'll see about that, I draw!" said Sunset. "I place two cards face down and end my turn."

Celestia then came to. "Oh… my head."

"Principal Celestia!" cried Twilight. "Are you okay?"

"I really hope so," said Fluttershy.

"I believe I am," said Celestia. She then looked around and saw all the locked doors. "What's going on? Why is the school on lockdown? And who is that guy? Why is he dueling my students?"

"Slow down," said Applejack.

"We'll explain everything," said Rarity.

Turn 16: MacKenzie

"I draw!" said MacKenzie. (Tragoedia ATK: 4800 – 6000)

Bella then saw how low Mackenzie's deck was. "Alright! There's the answer! We just need to stall for a few more turns and he'll run of cards."

"I know what you're thinking, Bella," said MacKenzie. "It won't be that easy. I activate Jar of Avarice! Now I can return five cards to my deck, (Raigeki, Harpie's Feather Duster, Anti-Fusion Device, Pot of Avarice, and Pot of Greed) then draw one card." (Tragoedia ATK: 6000 – 6600)

"How did he know what I thinking?" asked Bella.

"Your smile made it obvious," said MacKenzie. "And I've got plenty of other cards to refill my deck right here in my hand."

"Great," said the girls.

"Yes it is," said MacKenzie. "For me. Especially now, the card I drew was Pot of Greed, so I'll play it!" (Tragoedia ATK: 6600 – 6000) (Tragoedia ATK: 6000 – 7200) "Now I activate Reckless Greed, to draw two more cards!" (Tragoedia ATK: 7200 – 8400)

"What?!" asked Bella. "How can…?"

"This is so not fair," said Sunset. "Oh well, at least he can't draw for two turns."

"Who needs to, when you have THIS much power?!" asked MacKenzie. "And it's about to get worse, I discard The Dark Creator to take control of your Terra Firma!" (Tragoedia ATK: 8400 – 7800)

"Hey! That's mine!" said Bella.

"Not anymore!" said MacKenzie. "At long last, I have them all!" The other eight cards in his deck box began to glow, along with the two on his duel disk. "Yes! My powers are finally returning!" Tragoedia then rose out of Mackenzie's back again. But his clear body began to materialize. He then started to grow larger. "Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha! NOW NOTHING CAN STOP ME!"

"That's what you think!" said Sunset. "I activate Remove Brainwashing! This can returns all monsters on the field to the original owners!"

"NOOOOO!" yelled Tragoedia. His body then back shrank down, so he went back into MacKenzie.

"Nice job, girlfriend!" said Bella.

"Thanks," replied Sunset.

"Now you've none it!" said Tragoedia through MacKenzie. "You shall both feel, MY WRATH! But first, I will finish you off, Bella! Once and for all!"

"Not a chance!" said Sunset. "I activate my second trap, Shift! Now you must attack my Supremacy Sun!"

"Sunset no!" cried Bella.

"I activate an effect from my grave!" said Sunset. "Shield Warrior! By banishing him, my Sun can't be destroyed in battle!"

"But you still take 4800 points of damage!" said MacKenzie.

Sunset gritted her teeth.

Sunset LP: 200

MacKenzie LP: 4000

"Sunset…" said Bella. "Thank you for saving me."

"You're welcome," said Sunset. "What are friends for?"

"How touching," said Tragoedia through MacKenzie. "Then I'll just send you both to the shadow realm together when this is done! I end with a face down." (Tragoedia ATK: 7800 – 7200)

Turn 17: Bella

"I like to see you try," said Bella. "I draw! I play Legacy of a HERO! Now I can return my Plasma Vice and Divine Neos back to my extra deck, and draw three cards. Hey Sunset, mind if I borrow your monster?"

"Go right ahead," answered Sunset.

"Thanks a million," said Bella. "I discard one card to activate Super Polymerization! And I'll use it to fuse my Hero with Sunset's monster to form the card I created! Evil Hero Hexxus Dark Side of Earth!"

"What the?" asked MacKenzie.

"Wow, what a monster," said Sunset.

"Kinda creepy though," said Rarity.

"Creepy… and scary," added Fluttershy.

"Activate trap!" said MacKenzie. "Anti-Fusion Device! Now your new card is sent back to the drawing board!"

"Not quite," said Bella.

"What?" asked MacKenzie.

"My new Hero is not affected by any traps!" explained Bella.

"Alright!" said Sunset.

"I see," said MacKenzie.

"Now I play Miracle Vision!" continued Bella. "This lets me banish HERO monsters from my field and grave, then fusion summon a Vision HERO. So I'll banish Elemental Hero Sparkman, Ocean, and Woodsman to summon Vision HERO Trinity!"

"Awesome!" said Sunset and the girls.

"Wow," said Celestia.

"Not impressed," said MacKenzie.

"You will be," said Bella. "Cause when Trinity is summoned, his ATK points double!" (Vision HERO Trinity ATK: 2500 – 5000)

"But it's still not strong enough," Twilight pointed out.

"I'm getting to that," said Bella. "I activate my Evil Hero's second ability! By tributing one Dark attribute HERO monster, I can add its current ATK points to my Hexxus until the end of the battle phase!"

(Evil Hero Hexxus Dark Side of Earth ATK: 2500 – 7500)

"7500 points?!" asked everyone except Bella.

"Way too awesome!" said Rainbow.

"Way to go!" said Sunset. "Now yet em have it!"

"You heard her, Hexxus!" said Bella. "Strike down that dark demon!"

"Ah!" cried MacKenzie.

MacKenzie LP: 3700

"Alright Bella!" said Sunset. (Evil Hero Hexxus Dark Side of Earth ATK: 7500 – 2500)

All the girls and Celestia cheered.

"We knew you could do it!" said Pinkie.

"Thank you everyone," said Bella.

"Yes, thank you indeed," said MacKenzie. "Whenever I receive battle damage, I can special summon this card from my hand, Tragoedia!" (Tragoedia ATK: 7200 – 6600)

"ANOTHER ONE?!" asked all the girls. "NO WAY!"

"Oh come on!" yelled Rainbow.

"I can't believe it," said Bella as she fell to her knees in defeat.

"This can't be…" said Sunset.

"Oh yes it can!" said Tragoedia through MacKenzie. "I tried to warn you pathetic mortals that I was unbeatable. But I guess kids really do never learn! Now you both will suffer the ultimate defeat! And once you're gone, the whole world will be mine to command! TO CONTROL, FOREVER!"

"Now what do we do?" asked Bella.

"I …don't know," admitted Sunset. "But we can't just give up."

"What more can we possibly do?" asked Bella.

Turn 18: Sunset

"The only thing we can do," answered Sunset. "Keep dueling. I draw! I… I… I'll just end my turn."

"Say what?" asked Bella quietly. "Aw man, we are doomed."

Turn 19:MacKenzie

"YES YOU ARE!" said Tragoedia through MacKenzie. "Now since I can't draw, I'll just play Pot of Avarice!" (Tragoedia ATK: 6600 – 6000) "I return five monsters and draw two cards!" (Koitsu, Watapon, The Dark Creator, Bountiful Artemis, and Broww, Huntsman of Dark World) (Tragoedia ATK: 6000 – 7200) "Now I play Harpie's Feather Duster once again to destroy all your spell and trap cards!" (Tragoedia ATK: 7200 – 6600)

"NO!" cried Bella. "I was gonna summon Divine Neos next turn!"

"Even if you did, it wouldn't have made a difference!" said MacKenzie. "I now discard my level seven Barrel Dragon to take control of your new Evil Hero!"

"NOOOO!" cried Bella. (Tragoedia ATK: 6600 – 6000)

"You bastard!" said Sunset.

"Call me what you will," said Tragoedia through MacKenzie. "But now I have enough power to finish both of you off, FOREVER! Now I can finally unleash the hatred I held in for so long! And trust me when I tell you, THERE WON'T BE ANYTHING OR ANYONE LEFT STANDING ON THIS PLANET WHEN I'M FINISHED!"

Bella gulped.

"NOW MY MONSTERS! ELIMINATE THESE WORTHLESS MORTALS!" order Tragoedia.

The girls and Celestia all ran for cover.

"It's all over!" cried Bella.

"Not yet!" yelled Sunset. "I shall block your attack with Battle Fader!"

"NOOOO!" yelled Tragoedia.

Bella sighed with relief. "That's why you didn't summon anything."

"You bet," said Sunset.

"YOU PERSISTANT PEONS!" yelled Tragoedia. "I SWEAR TO YOU, ON MY NEXT TURN, YOU'RE ALL DEAD!"

Turn 20: Bella

"Then let's hope we never get to your next turn," thought Bella. "My turn! I summon my buddy, Winged Kuriboh in defense mode. That's all."

Turn 21: Sunset

"And that's all we need," said Sunset when she saw her drawn card. "I play Spellbook Organization! This lets me look at the top three cards of my deck and return them in any order I desire." (Called by the Grave, Riryoku, and Waboku) "Then I'll summon Galaxy Serpent in attack mode! The story on this card says that all our hopes and dreams will be refreshed if you catch a glimpse of this creature, and it was right. Now that there's a Light Fairy type and Dragon type monster on the field, I can tribute them both to special summon Ma'at!"

"WHAT?!" cried Tragoedia. NO! NO! IT CAN'T BE POSSIBLE!"

"Oh yes it can!" said Sunset.

"I don't believe it," said Bella.

"Believe what?" asked Twilight.

"In Egyptian mythology, Ma'at was the goddess of order, justice, and truth, representing the harmony of the universe," explained Bella. "She is best known for her role in the judging of souls. She would use a special feather and put it on a scale, if the heart was weighed down by sin, the demon Ammit would devour it."

"Who?" asked Rainbow.

"The ultimate punishment," answered Bella. "You see, Ammit is the personification of divine retribution. So, as punishment for all the wrongs one had committed in his or her life, Ammit would eat them."

All the girls gasped.

And that very same special feather was on the Millennium Scales that Ma'at was holding.

"Very impressive, Bella," said Celestia.

"Thank you," said Bella.

"Anyway, I activate the effect of Ma'at!" said Sunset. "I call the name of three cards, and draw three times. If I get any of the cards I named, Ma'at gains 1000 ATK points for each one."

"But you just played…" said Tragoedia.

"Spellbook Organization? That's right!" said Sunset. "So I can't miss! Called by the Grave! Riryoku! Waboku!" (Ma'at ATK: ? – 3000)

"Only 3000 ATK points?" asked Tragoedia. "Phew… you had me worried there for a minute."

"What makes you think I'm done?" asked Sunset. "Now I play Called by the Grave! With this, I can banish one monster in your graveyard. Then if that same monster is on the field, all of its effects are negated! I choose your first Tragoedia!"

"WHAT?!" yelled Tragoedia. "NO! YOU CAN'T!" (Tragoedia ATK: 6000 – 0)

"I just did!" said Sunset. "But that's not all. I also play Riryoku, and I'll use to half the ATK points of Bella's Evil Hero to power up Ma'at!" (Evil Hero Hexxus Dark Side of Earth ATK: 2500 – 1250) (Ma'at ATK: 3000 – 4250)

"4250?!" asked Tragoedia. "NO! THIS LITERALLY CAN'T BE HAPPENING! I WAS SO CLOSE! I HAD THE PERFECT MONSTER! AND STRATEGY!"

"In the words of Yugi Moto," said Bella. "Every monster has its weakness."

"All too true," said Sunset. "Now, Ma'at! End this madness! Destroy this monster monstrosity!"

"NOOOOOOOO!" yelled Tragoedia.

MacKenzie LP: 0

"AGGGHHHH!" cried Tragoedia as he was sucked out of Mackenzie's body. Mackenzie then collapsed as he dropped all his cards. Tragoedia was then absorbed into Ma'at's feather. Afterwards, the divine lady lit the feather on fire, then faded away with rest of the holograms.

"They did it!" cheered Fluttershy.

All the girls and Celestia cheered.

"We did it!" cried Bella.

"We sure did!" said Sunset as the two girls hugged. "I never could have done it without you, Bella."

"Yeah right," said Bella. "I hardly helped."

"But if your monster wasn't on the field, I couldn't have finished him off," said Sunset. "I checked the cards in Mackenzie's hand after he dropped them. He had another Tragoedia ready to go. If your monster wasn't on the field, and I destroyed his second Tragoedia with Ma'at, he would have had 700 life points left over, then he would have brought out his third one. Your card saved us."

Bella's eyes began to tear up. "Well… glad I could help."

"You a hero, Bella," said Twilight. "Just like the ones in your decks."

All the girls hugged.

"Bella," said Celestia. "I don't really know what just happened, but I couldn't be more proud of you."

"Thank you very much, ma'am," said Bella.

MacKenzie then woke up. "Oh my head! What in the world happened?"

"You won't believe it," said Bella.

"Bella? Is that you?" asked MacKenzie.

"Yep," answered Bella.

"Where am I?" asked MacKenzie.

"You're at Canterlot High," answered Celestia.

"Wait, isn't that the school you transferred to?" asked MacKenzie.

"Yes," said Bella.

"So… how did I end up here?" asked MacKenzie.

The girls then told MacKenzie a made up story to cover up what Tragoedia had done. Afterwards, they told him about where Bella was headed to.

"What?!" asked MacKenzie. "Oh my gosh, Bella. I'm… just so surprised! What an opportunity! Well, congratulations and good luck to you."

"Thank you, sir," said Bella.

After school was out, Bella rushed home to pack, and call Thorax.

The next day, all the girls, and Thorax were there to see Bella off. As her plane lifted off the ground, she looked down at her friends and remembered all the wonderful times she had with each of them. "I'll be back one day. For sure." All her duel monster spirits then appeared around her, and wished her luck.
