AN: Sorry this wasn't updated for a while. You guys are amazing though, even after not updating for 2 months I'm still getting reviews. Congratulations, you managed to guilt me into writing. College life changes my schedule in mysterious ways. I know this chapter is short, but it had to stop there, it was too tempting.

The students flooded from the DADA classroom. Excited chatter roared throughout the hallway and the golden trio was no exception.

"That was bloody brilliant! Did you see how Professor Alucard scared Umbridge away?" Ron exclaimed as they exited the classroom.

"Hahaha, yea, Umbridge won't be interfering with DADA anytime soon," Harry agreed.

Hermione nodded, "I'm honestly surprised that Professor Alucard didn't react to her derogatory comments from the back of the room before that."

Ron stumbled over his own feet as he trudged up the steps following Hermione and Harry as the atrocious pink visage of Umbridge stalked down the hallway nearby, looking murderous.

"Looks like she's still really upset about class," Harry whispered to Ron and Ron nodded in response. They entered the Gryffindor common room and were met with the pleasant heat wafting from the fireplace.

"Awww, I have that potions essay due tomorrow," Ron groaned and Harry slumped.

"I haven't written anything yet," Harry said gloomily. "Hermione, could we borrow your notes?"

Hermione rolled her eyes, "Honestly, you two. You should take your own notes. You won't have my notes when you take the OWLS."

"Please Hermione," Ron said with his best puppy-dog eyes and Hermione relented.

"Fine, just this once," she said, exasperated and Ron and Harry exchanged triumphant glances. She continued, "Personally, I'm going to look into that spell Professor mentioned 'Inferre Beatudinis' I've never heard of it before."

Ron and Harry scratched at parchment in large looping handwriting and Hermione managed to pull an impressive number of thick dusty tomes from somewhere previously unknown. They continued in silence for some time, each working diligently until Hermione finally found the spell in one of the many tomes.

"Here it is. 'Inferre Beatudinis.' It's not listed as a defensive spell though."

"What is it then?" Harry questioned.

"It says here; ''Inferre Beatudinis' - a spell that will, when cast successfully, will relieve pain of mild to severe injuries depending on the strength of the casting. It has no true healing properties and is most often used when wounds are too severe for treatment.' It's an odd spell, and it's not something that I would think of for a vampire attack." Hermione stated.

"But Professor must have some reason for telling us to learn it," Ron said as he scrawled another few large words onto his parchment.

"I'm sure he'll explain during class," Hermione agreed and tried casting the spell and successfully getting the faint green spark that the book described.

"Wow, perfect on your first try too. Just what we'd expect from you, Hermione," Ron exclaimed.

"No, not perfect. It still lacks the power necessary to be useful," Hermione responded.

Harry and Ron rolled their eyes, "still..."

"You two should practice this spell too. Professor Alucard said everybody is expected to know it by next class."

"We know," Ron groaned, "but if this paper isn't done by tomorrow morning Snape is going to be even nastier than usual."

"Just make sure you practice before you go to bed," Hermione lectured.

Harry nodded half-heartedly and mumbled something too quietly to hear.

By midnight Hermione had nearly perfected the spell while Ron and Harry were just finishing up the essay before they went to sleep.

"Don't you dare have a go at my mom!" Ron shouted at Seamus, effectively rousing the rest of the boys in the room.

Harry grumbled, disgruntled by the abrupt wakeup call.

Seamus screeched back, "Then don't have a go at mine!"

"What's going on here," Harry asked quietly and was completely ignored by all except Neville who quietly told him that they were once again fighting over whether Voldemort had returned or not.

Harry, annoyed, lost his temper and screamed at the arguing boys to shut up and the dorm fell silent. "Let's just go to breakfast," Harry said, too tired to get involved in the raging fight this early in the morning. They wandered down the hall, arriving just in time to watch the food appear and the students begin grotesquely stuffing their mouths.

"That's funny," Hermione whispered to herself, "he's usually present about halfway though breakfast." She watched the teachers' table curiously as Alucard's seat remained empty.

"Uuurg, ighht," Ron responded with a mouth full of food.

"Swallow your food first!" Hermione chastised.

He swallowed with difficulty and repeated himself, "your right."

Harry glanced up to the teachers' table as well, "I wonder why he chose not to attend today."

Hermione nodded just as they heard an ear splitting scream echo through the great hall and a blond haired teenager with large *cough* assets streaked into the hall at an incredible speed. She glanced behind her nervously staring at the hallway just beyond the giant doors.

Soon after the arrival of the curvy teenager a lady in a pantsuit came walked through the doors with an ornate silver sword drawn and held at the ready. Her long blond hair flowed gracefully as she scanned the hallway with piercing blue eyes. Finally she decided to confront her hidden pursuer. "If you think I will simply let you rampage, you are severely mistaken, vampire."

A loud, menacing laugh echoed, causing a shiver to run along everyone's spines. "Hundreds of years of service under you useless humans; too bad you didn't realize that no seal can hold forever. This will be your downfall, Sir Integra Fairbrook Wingates Hellsing, or should I say, Ex-Master." The laughter returned again, chilling the great hall with its malice.

"That may be, but I will take you down with me," Integra responded calmly to the voice that seemed to be coming from nowhere.

The shorter blond finally spoke up, "Master, think about what you are doing. Please, don't do this. You're not a monster like this."

More laughter echoed, now fading to a low chuckle. "Police-girl, you know nothing about me. I was a monster as a human and my death has only allowed me more outlets for my monstrous tendencies. You won't even drink blood like a proper vampire. You are a useless fledgling, unworthy of my attention. My most shameful failure."

Police-girl wilted, appearing to fight back blood-red tears.

"The bird of Hermes is my name, eating my wings to make me tame...huh. Is that what you thought I was? A demon that'd tamed itself? No, I was leashed by your ancestor, but that leash has been broken. It took hundreds of years. No matter, when will humans learn that time has no meaning to me? So what shall you do now master. I have broken your leash. You have no control. You will die by my fangs like so many other useless mortals and I shall once again claim my rightful place as the No Life King."

Black tendrils of shadows slithered along the floor, the candles flickered and extinguished, and the students screamed. Eyes opened in the black shadows and soon all the walls were writhing with darkness and jeering red eyes. The Hogwarts professors stood trying to ascertain what they should do to protect the students.

An echoing snarl sounded from everywhere and nowhere, "Come now, master, I want to hear you squeal like the English sow you are."

Integra turned trying to determine where Alucard, no, Dracula, would come from. "Face me you coward, or do you intend to hide in the shadows forever?"

"Of course not," Integra whipped around to face the voice that had come from behind her but was stopped by a claw-like hand grasping her throat and keeping her immobile while the other hand batted her sword away carelessly. She knew that this was his true form, a conglomeration of shadows and tendrils with eyes opening on his body in unnatural places, the largest one on his chest.

His jaw opened, exposing a smile full of daggers only a hairs breadth from her vulnerable throat.

"Inferre beatudinis" Hermione shouted and a bright green spark traveled to hit Alucard solidly in the back but the spell had no effect on the raging demon and she preyed that he wouldn't take offense attack her next.

Police girl was crying viscous red tears, "Please, Master. Don't do this. I'm begging you." She pulled at his arms, but she couldn't separate him from Integra. The master vampire was far too strong for a young fledgling to have any effect.

"Time's up, master. If you dance with the dead, be prepared to join their ranks." The hand twisted her head to the side painfully and the great maw gaped wide, allowing deadly fangs to race towards Integra's bare throat while she struggled helplessly and Seras pulled impotently at his arms.

Yay, cliffies. This one was too tempting. I'll update again tomorrow, or maybe later tonight (really, I promise). I know that was abrupt, it was supposed to be. If you have figured out what this is about, pocky for you. If you haven't, you'll find out next chapter.
