A/N: Hope you guys liked the last chapter! I still haven't decided how long this is going to be, maybe a couple more chapters. I know for sure that when both of the bands perform, it's going to be 2 or 3 chaps long. Here's the new one! Enjoy!

Chapter 10

Lucy, for once, was not the first one awake. Her friends had left her sleep when they were getting ready for the day. Today, Fairy Tail and Stargazers are going to the beach for a fun day before the big show tomorrow. Before they left, Levy wrote Lucy a note saying that they were heading to the beach if she wanted to come, and that she didn't have to get into the water if she didn't feel up to it.

Lucy woke up and felt something around her waist. She froze in place not knowing what it was. Her eyes glanced downward to see a pair of arms holding her close. She then tried to wiggle out of the strong grasp hold, but the owner of the arms stirred in their sleep. Recognizing the voice, she visibly relaxed.

"Luce," it was Natsu, "Stop moving, just five more minutes." Lucy laughed and looked at the clock. She lay back down and looked at him.

"Natsu, it's already 10:30. We should get up and get ready…" She trailed off when she saw that he was already good to go. "Well, I should get ready." She went to get up when he pulled her back down. She looked at him sternly, and he just replied with a small grin. She smiled back and gave him a quick peck on the lips and got up yet again.

She made her way to the bathroom, when she noticed the note that Levy left. Only then she noticed that she and Natsu were the only ones in the room.

"I'm guessing Levy let you in?" She asked as she grabbed her swimsuit and a pair of clothes to go over it. Natsu just replied with a grunt as he rolled back over. Lucy rolled her eyes and got into the shower.

She finished her shower and put on a bikini. It was a regular black string bikini. Over it she wore a plain grey t-shirt and black running shorts. She exited the bathroom putting her hair up in a messy bun, and putting on a pair of all black Toms.

"Come on Natsu," Lucy called. "I want to get something to eat before we get there." She walked over to his lounging figure on the bed and jumped on top of him. She started to bounce the bed until her got up. Natsu sighed in defeat as he got up and headed to the door behind Lucy.

They arrived at the beach carrying a bag of bagels left over from her and Natsu's breakfast. Everyone met up with them to get the bagels. All of them looked wet, like they had gotten out of the water.

"Lu-chan," Levy said, "I didn't think that you'd come." Levy gave her a knowing looked, but Lucy shrugged in return.

"I didn't want you guys to worry about me," Lucy replied, taking off her shorts. She kept her shirt on, and everyone, except her friends, looked at her quizzically. Gajeel looked at Levy, and she shook her head as a signal to let it go. They noticed her shake and gave a nod in return.

"Well," Gray said, "Why don't we head back into the water? It's way too hot outside." He proceeded to grab Juvia's hand and pulled her into the water. Everyone followed suit, and soon Natsu and Lucy were by themselves under the umbrellas that were set up.

"Hey," Natsu said. Lucy looked at him and he continued, "Why don't you take off your shirt. It's really hot out here and I don't want you to overheat."

"I won't overheat," she said defending herself, "And I don't like when people see my stomach." She unconsciously put her hands around her stomach.

"Do you think you fat? 'Cause I can assure you that you're not fat," Natsu said, pulling her into his lap and hugging her.

"No no no," she said, waving her hands. "It's just that, I don't like the look that people give me when they see it." She grasped the end of her shirt, having a mental battle on if she should show him or not.

"I'll only show you if you promise me one thing," she said getting off his lap and looking him in the eyes. He nodded agreeing to her terms. "You have to promise not to have a disgusted look on your face." He looked at her with his eyebrows furrowed.

"Why would I do that?" He asked, not liking that she thought that he would do that. She didn't reply and took a deep breath. Lucy hesitantly lifted her shirt off of herself. Once it was over her head, she threw it by her shorts and stared at the ground. On her stomach was a large scar, running from her left hip up diagonally to under her right breast.

She looked at his face to see if he kept his promise. He did, but she still didn't like the surprise on his face.

"Forget it," Lucy said, reaching for her shirt. "I knew I shouldn't have done this, it was a mistake." Her arm was stopped by Natsu's hand on her wrist. She looked at him and saw that he had a small smile on his face.

"Did you really think that I would not like you because of a scar," he said, pulling her closer. "You already have all the others," he looked at her wrists, "Why would this one be different?" He asked, looking at her wanting an answer.

"Well," she spoke, not know how to say what she wanted to say, "The other one are small and not really noticeable, and this one is big and ugly. And I didn't do this one." She said the last part quietly hoping that he didn't hear. He did.

"What do you mean?" He questioned, "What do you mean you didn't do this one?" She looked at him, but then adverted her eyes.

"When I was 19, I was walking down the street and this guy grabbed me," she told him, "He was trying to rob me, but I tried to stop him. I didn't know that he had a knife until I felt it go across." She took a shaky breath, "I almost died, but this elderly couple found me and took me to the hospital. I just don't like people seeing it because it's ugly and makes me uncomfortable."

"Luce," Natsu said softly, cupping her face gently, "It doesn't matter what it looks like. I don't care, and besides, I think that your scars are pretty rad and badass." He gave her a reassuring smirk, and she laughed and kissed him.

Little did the two love birds know, their friends in the water heard and saw the entire thing. The girls were nodding approvingly, while the guys stood their dumbfounded.

"Did that actually happen?" Jellal asked, looking between the girls.

Erza nodded, "Yes, she was in the hospital for, like, 2 weeks."

"Wow," Gray said, getting out of his trance, "She is one tough lady."

"That she is," Juvia said, "Juvia is sometimes envious on how tough Lucy is."

Lucy and Natsu came over to the water, hand-in-hand. Both bands spent the rest of the day playing in the water and enjoying each other's company. They all wandered if tomorrow was going to be any better.

A/N: Well, there was Chapter 10. Lucy has had a tough life man! Good thing Natsu is there to get all sappy and romantic with her. I'll update soon! Disclaimer: I own nothing! See you next time, feel free to leave a review!
