I am so so so so so so so so sorry that I haven't updated in like...forever. I really didn't feel like it earlier but today I really wanted to finish since I have nothing to do while I'm having really bad relationship problems

Everyone was shooed back to class 20 minutes after Mikan went into the emergency room.

Natsume refused strongly, even going as far as burning some teachers that tried to drag him out. He stubbornly sat at one of the benches, unable to be wrenched away.

The teachers gave up wearily and let him be. They left giving a nod to Narumi, who nodded back.

Narumi said nothing the whole time, silently watching Natsume.

It was almost 2 hours since Mikan went into the emergency room. Natsume has calmed down from yelling at whoever walked by and setting things on fire, but what he did now was even more abnormal.

He was completely silent and calm right now.

He was sitting there gracefully, his head on his palm and he was looking out the window.

Once in a while some nurses would walk by and whisper something about him going mad. His blood red eyes would lazily gaze over to them and a smirk would play on his lips.

His perfect mouth would say, 'Yeah, I'm mad. What're you gonna do?'

His eyes would bore into them and seem to challenge them. The nurses would give a scared squeak, bow and then run away.

Narumi shook his head disapprovingly. He took a few steps toward Natsume and continued to watch him.

Narumi's mouth opened once, and then closed it again.

Then he did that again.

"If there's something you want to say, spit it out." Natsume said, his eyes now fixed on Narumi.

Narumi cleared his throat.

"I think I should say that to you. Your acting abnormally calm about this you know. Mikan has been in there for more than 2 hours." Narumi's purple eyes gazed at him, expecting a reaction.

Natsume's forehead creased and his eyes hazed, turning it a weird color of dark grayish-red.

Bingo. He just hit a sore spot.

"What do want to me to do then?" Natsume spat as he stood up, his hair covering his eyes making it impossible to see.

"Perhaps you could go and find..." Narumi started, his finger and his chin as if thinking.

Then Narumi smirked.

"Find the person who hurt her."

The door of the emergency room opened and a doctor came out. His operation gloves covered in blood.

A knot formed in Natsume's throat.

Mikan's blood.

The doctor saw Natsume's face go a sickly shade of grey as he stared at his hands.

"Yes, this is Mikan Sakura's blood." The doctor sighed and took the gloves off, throwing them in a nearby bin.

Natsume wanted to throw up. His head spun, his eyes fogged and his stomach felt queasy.

The whole room rocked as he tried hard to keep his composure.

"How is she?" He managed to croak out.

"Well it's definitely not pretty. Her heart has been injured and it's not pumping enough blood. Also her veins are blocked. We already cleared all of the ones we know of." The doctor cleared his throat.

"She won't be able to go out and walk around for a very long time...also, I won't allow visitors." The doctor finished and then bowed.

"Wait." Natsume croaked. The doctor turned around, facing him, and then cocked an eyebrow.

"...May I be the only one to visit her?" Natsume mumbled. He sighed. Damn he hates begging.

The doctor surprisingly smiled.

"Well, if you insist. Besides, she may recover faster if you're with her." The doctor smiled, gave him a pat on the head and then walked down the hall.

Natsume wasn't feeling well at all. He barely even felt the doctor's pat.

All he wanted was to hold Mikan close in his arms.

He sighed and ruffled his hair.

Taking a deep breath, he went into the room of Mikan Sakura.

"Sensei!" Ruka called, desperately trying to catch up with Narumi.

"Oh, Ruka. What's wrong?" Narumi sensei answered, turning towards him with the same warm smile he wears daily.

"How's Natsume? I haven't seen him all day today." Ruka said worriedly.

Narumi's smile stretched into a mischievous smirk, the kind a naughty teenager would have.

"The Black Cat is hunting for prey."

Natsume pranced from branch to branch like a skilled leopard.

His eyes were emotionless and as cold as ice.

With a gun safely tucked in his pocket and the cat mask over his face he leaped towards his enemies and fired the gun.

The mission ended quickly.

Holding his injured arm, Natsume climbed into the open window of Mikan's hospital room.

He stroked her hair softly as his blood stained the pure white bedsheets. His eyes were somewhere far away.

"I'll find them." He kissed her hand softly and then left, racing the wind.

"She should be awake now, right?" Nono asked softly to the others as they walked towards Mikan's hospital room.

"That baka will definitely be awake. She's made of steel." Hotaru reassured them with her cold voice as usual.

Though her words were strong and confident, her heart was beating uncontrollably with fear.

What if she really wasn't awake? What if she will never wake up? These negative questions zoomed around in her head and she almost fell over.

In seconds they were in front of Mikan's door. They took a deep breath and then opened the door.

Their shoulders slumped as they entered the room with a peaceful looking Mikan sleeping.

The light from the window hugged her and her brunette hair seemed to glow. Her face became a healthier shade and her breathing was steady.

What scared them was the blood.

"Oh my goodness. I-is that h-her blo–?" Anna started but didn't have the courage to continue her sentence as her eyes blacked out for a second and lost her balance.

"I'll go get the doctor." Ruka said, his voice was nice and steady but the blood from his face was already gone.

He wobbled out, his face as white as a ghost.

Minutes later Ruka returned with Mikan's doctor.

The doctor examined her thoroughly, looking for any cuts or reason as to why there would be blood.

The doctor took off his stethoscope and scratched his chin thoughtfully.

"Oh please tell me that there's nothing wrong with her." Nono and Anna pleaded looking desperately at the doctor.

The doctor shook his head and then went over to examine the blood more closely.

"I'm assuming these stains aren't from her. Her body is functioning normally and there are no scratches or wounds on her, other than the ones healing." The doctor made a small bow and then left.

Koko whistled.

"I think I know who's blood that belongs to then."

"Natsume-kun? I-is Mikan okay?" Akemi asked.

Natsume growled at her.

Nobara Ibaragi, also known as the "Ice Princess" went over to Akemi and gave her a comforting pat.

"Today is your first day in the Dangerous Abilities class. Gambade!" Nobara encouragingly said, her gentle blue eyes seemed to be boring into her, seeing her true feelings.

Akemi couldn't talk, or rather; she didn't want to.

It felt that if she talked she would burst into tears. Her eyes stung and she was already sniffing a little, trying to hold it in.

She didn't hate Mikan, not at all. She just wanted to make peace with her and maybe have a girl talk and she would understand and leave Natsume.

After all she does look like someone who's agreeable.

Akemi sighed.

She just wanted to know Mikan's condition.

"Akemi, get over here. Right. Now." Persona coldly ordered her, and then waited for her to come over.

Akemi took a deep breath and then walked quickly towards the other students of the Dangerous Abilities class.

"Akemi and Natsume, you two will be in a group." Persona said. Natsume hissed.

"There are criminals with important data about our school. Their boat should take off in 2 hours." Persona gave them information on their task and then they went.

Running like the wind and being trained as he was, Natsume made no effort to get to their destination.

In fact, he would have gotten their in 30 minutes when a normal car drive would have taken an hour.

That's what would've happened, if it wasn't because he had a unexperienced partner.

Every time he took a step, he had to wait for her to catch up. She was obviously tired and exhausted, and he thought how the hell with she be able to continue the mission when they're not even at their destination.

"Hey...um, you ok? You want me to carry you?" Natsume asked gently, feeling slight gilt towards her since he was so mean even though he knows it's her first mission.

"No...I'm fine...honest." She denied his invitation quietly, her face blushing madly.

She tried standing up but then almost fell over, if it wasn't for Natsume who caught her easily and swung her on his back.

"N-Natsume! It's really ok, please put me down." She begged as he ran.

"Can't do that. Your going to slow us down and you have to save strength to use your alice in a emergency." Natsume said with the same cold tune he always uses.

Akemi blushed against his neck.

He's so warm...

Minutes later they arrived where the boat was to depart.

Guns were fired and flames were lit around the dock and even on the water, preventing anything and anyone to leave.

Akemi felt lightheaded from feeling him so close.

His warm touch still lingered around her and his smell still filled her nose.

Bang.

Natsume was shot in his arm, the one that he uses to control his alice.

Akemi's senses went wild and before she knew it her alice ran wild.

Lighting struck around their location. The stars in the night sky disappeared, replaced with stormy clouds.

The lightning struck the water, electrifying the boat and water, zapping anyone who gets close to it.

It struck the weapons and guns of their enemy, making them drop their weapons and whimper.

Natsume however, was completely unaffected by the lightning. She allowed him access to her lightning.

His arm was bleeding painfully, but his system was already too used to the pain.

He watched in awe as her lighting continued to flash and bend towards her will.

Akemi's usual sky blue hair flew as the wind slapped her and turned into a color of sea green from the light of the lightning.

Her coral pink eyes turned into a darker color and it was wild, full of rage.

It seemed like hours when her alice finally stopped.

Everyone was knocked out.

Akemi panted hard and fell on her knees.

Natsume stood up, still in shock. Seconds later he recovered and put back on his cat mask that fell off earlier.

He went into the boat and searched for the folder they were supposed to retrieve.

He found it, and they left.

Natsume was grateful for the silence they had when they walked back, but some crazy part of him wanted to talk to her a little more.

Oh great. It must be because he doesn't get the comfort he needs now that Mikan's in the hospital. He's having crazy thoughts.

He wanted to crack his skull when he gets back in his dorm.

First though, he really needs to go see Mikan.

Teru sat next to Mikan's bed.

He felt awful for not talking to her the last time she was awake.

Damn it was all Natsume's fault.

He held her hand and caressed it, looking at her lovingly.

That was when Natsume came in.

He stood outside, frozen in shock. Staring at their hands, he felt jealousy and rage.

"How dare you hold her like that!" Natsume hollered and before Teru knew it, a punch was thrown at his face.

Teru stumbled off the chair and held his aching cheek.

Man that hurt.

Anger bubbled inside him as he blew a punch in Natsume's stomach.

Tumbling a few steps back, Natsume got ready for another attack.

He kicked him right there and brought him falling on the floor.

Natsume wiped the blood trickling at the corner of his mouth. He was panting and his fists were tightly clenched.

Teru started laughing.

"What on earth is so funny?" Natsume seethed with anger. What the hell?

"That hurt!" Teru hugged his stomach and laughed his head off.

When he finally got under control, he wiped the blood coming from his mouth as well and stared straight at him with a smirk on his face.

Oh how much Natsume wanted to punch his face.

"I saw everything. You like Akemi don't you?"

Natsume stared at him as if he was crazy, which, he probably was.

"Think about it. Why didn't you just leave Akemi there while you were on the mission? Why did you carry her on your back? Why do you want to know more about her?" Teru challenged.

Natsume closed his eyes and thought about it.

Then the truth hit him in the most painful way.

Ok. I am really disappointed. I can't believe I didn't even get one review for my last chapter. Seriously guys? Gimme a little more encouragement!

Also I would really like to ask anyone with great experiences in relationships 'cause right now I just want to scream and bang my head against a wall. My crush is acting all weird and mean towards me and now he has a freaking girlfriend.

Please if anyone wants to hear my terrible relationship with my crush, PM me and just talk to me 'cause I'm seriously depressed.
