Chapter 9- Dear cousin
Kagome shivers in her sleep hearing the voice haunting her dreams for the past three years. "You can't escape from me Kagome."
She whines softly as she murmurs out loud. "Leave me alone! I don't want you!"
"You'll never escape from me," That silk voice sends Goosebumps down her arms. In her dream Kagome tries to pull away from the strong grip on her. There is no way she wants to see him. Naraku. She cries out hoping someone could hear her.
Kagome wakes up breathing hard. Tears rolling down her cheeks. She didn't bother turning on the light as her eyes adjust to the dark automatically after many nights of one of the nightmares about that monster. Pulling her knees close to her body, Kagome took several deep breaths trying to calm down. She wait's a few more minutes before moving.
She goes to her desk pulling out a pen and paper. She taps the corner of her desk hoping it would help her think what to write about. Who should she write to this time. She gaze at a picture when she's younger standing in between two other kids. On her left stood a boy with long flowing white locks with innocent wide amber eyes. A smile could be barely made out. His hand on child Kagome's shoulder. While on her right stood what could have been her twin if it weren't for a few things. Their smiles and hair styles. The other girl smirks making bunny ears on the girl in the middle.
"Kikyou," Kagome whispers sadly missing her cousin who disappear off the planet.
She never could remember who the boy was but at times it reminds her now of someone she knows. The woman sighs already knowing who she wants to write to. Kikyou she hasn't seen close in almost three years. Some of the memories before that night seem rather hazy in her mind. Due to her shock there are times she couldn't remember the thing that nearly rape her. She shivers at that thought. Shaking the thought out of her mind she gaze at the empty page then truly starts writing.
Dear cousin, How are you? I hope you are doing well. I know I am. I wish you could come by and visit us soon. I wish I could see your face again. I'm writing to you again because I had the same nightmares as before. I'm sorry for bring you into this but hope you would understand. I don't know where he's at but afraid he'll come after me. I keep hearing his voice in my sleep more now then ever. Its starting to become rarer when I get a good night sleep. On lighter news, I think I might have meet someone. His name is Inuyasha. He's a inu-hanyou who goes to my school. I remember the first time I walk through the school doors. I accidentally bump into him and apologize. He turn out to be a jerk then claim me as his. I still find it rather ironic that I could actually be falling for him. He's different now. More mature but willing to change. Do you have any advice you could give me? One of the main reasons she exile herself from her own family for so long. One thing she's going to make sure is to help Kagome with the person she may like or even love. She can have another chance to be friends maybe even sisters with Kagome instead of normal cousins like they use to be before three years ago. She's finally coming home to her family. 'Time to face the demons head on' She muse sarcastically.
