GuardianSaint: really? Thanks. That was one of those parts where I thought about about deleting it that part, but then I decided not to and to see what happens. I'm glad you liked it. Amaris' first time out of the cave is coming, as for Amira as Simba, you'll just have to wait and see. Thanks so much for your review!

Hercule: yeah, the longest I make a story is 24 chapters. I have absolutely no idea how people can make a 50 chapter story! They must either have a lot of time or their chapters are three sentences each, lol. You'll soon find out if there'll be any deaths. I tried to keep who's who as easy as possible but I'll try a little harder. Thanks for reviewing.

"Nia run!" Salina screamed as she caught sight of the herd of wildebeests plowing towards them.

Nia began to run behind her cousin, but her little legs weren't as strong as Salina's so she fell behind. Nia tripped over her feet and fell. Salina turned and saw her cousin laying on the ground. "Sal! Keep going!" Nia yelled when Salina came running towards her.

"Are you crazy?" Salina asked in disbelief. "There's no way I'm leaving you!" Salina quickly pulled up her cousin and the two began to run again. They ran and saw a steep hill leading up to the ledge.

"We'll never make it!" Nia screamed in fear.

"We have to try!" Salina looked at the hill with determination. The two cubs began to climb the hill to get the the ledge. Nia dug her claws into the rocks trying to stay up. Salina was having much better luck. The six month old cub was able to pull herself up onto the ledge. She smiled triumphantly and looked down at Nia. Her smile faded when she saw Nia slipping.

"Nia!" She yelled. "You're almost there! Keep going!"

"I can't!" Nia groaned. Tears filled her eyes and fell down her cheeks. "Salina!"

"Give me your paw!" Salina grabbed the edge with one paw and reached down towards Nia with the other.

Nia strained to get to Salina. But she couldn't. She was too small and too weak. Nia gasped when she slipped again. "Lina!" She slipped again. Again. Again. Her paw fell from the rocks.

Salina gasped in horror as she watched her cousin tumble from the hill into the stampede.

TLKTLKTLK

"You sure?" Pakyzo asked when Azryn asked him and Mosi if they wanted to go with him on the rounds.

"Yeah I'm sure. We haven't spent much time together since the cubs were born." Azryn said.

"I wish I could guys, but since Amaris is only a week old, and Mira wants to go on the hunt, I have to watch Amaris." Mosi told them.

"Don't worry about it Mos." Pakyzo said.

"Yeah." Azryn agreed. "It's understandable. The three of us will find time later. It's no big deal."

"Alright. I'll see you guys later." Mosi said and walked back to the cave. He smiled at the golden cub. "Hey buddy."

Azryn and Pakyzo started the rounds. They didn't get very far before Zazu flew up to them with fear. "Your majesty's! Sire! Stampede! In the gorge! Your daughters are down there!"

"What!?" Azryn exclaimed in fear.

"Why the hell are they there?!" Pakyzo yelled. Without a second thought, both lions ran towards the gorge in hopes they aren't too late to save their daughter.

Salina scanned the gorge trying to spy her cousin, the stampede was still going and she could still see hundreds running down the hill into the gorge. She couldn't figure out how she was going to get to Nia. Salina looked up at the sky. "Please grandma, grandpa...Nia's only two months. She can't die yet. Please don't let her."

"Salina!"

Salina turned to see her father and uncle running towards her. "How'd you get up here? Where's Nia?" Pakyzo asked.

"I climbed up the ledge, Nia was right behind me and she slipped!" Salina said tears rolling down her cheeks.

Azryn pulled his daughter close and Pakyzo jumped down into the gorge to find his daughter.

Pakyzo clawed and scratched at any wildebeest that got in his way. One kicked him to the ground and he grunted in pain. He bit ones leg and it fell to the ground. He stood up and ran faster, trying to find his tiny daughter, in hopes she was ok. He looked around frantically and caught sight of a light tan bundle laying on the ground, under a protection of rocks. He ran towards it and found it was his daughter, she was unconscious but didn't seem to have any serious injuries. He picked her up and jumped to the edge.

Azryn saw them coming and quickly reached down. Pakyzo grabbed his brother paw and Azryn pulled them up.

"Nia!" Salina exclaimed nuzzling her still unconscious cousin. She looked up and saw the glares and disappointment of her father and uncle. She looked down guiltily.

"We should get her to Rafiki." Pakyzo said and walked off.

"We'll talk later." Azryn said to Salina and followed Pakyzo. Salina ran to catch up with her father and uncle.

TLKTLKTLK

After it was confirmed by Rafiki that Nia would be fine, she would just have a headache for a few days, the two lions and cubs went back to Priderock. When Nia was safe between Meellaah's paws, Azryn and Pakyzo brought Salina outside the cave to talk.

"Why did you go to the gorge?!" Pakyzo growled harshly at his niece.

"I thought it would be ok, I didn't know there was going to be a stampede. I just wanted to show her around." Salina said guiltily.

"Salina, honey." Azryn said. "Do you realize how hurt you or Nia could have been. We're lucky she just got off with a headache."

"I'm sorry daddy." Salina said tears forming in her eyes.

Azryn sighed. "Alright, I think knowing that Nia could have gotten killed on your watch is punishment enough."

Pakyzo gasped. "No! Azryn! The little brat almost got my daughter killed! I want her punished!"

Azryn growled at his brother. "Don't you dare call my daughter a brat! I agree that she was wrong, but she's my daughter and I decide her punishment."

Pakyzo glared at his brother. "Yeah well it was my daughter who was hurt." He looked down at Salina. "I hope your satisfied." And he walked back into the cave.

Salina gasped at her uncles retreating form. Azryn was just as shocked. What has gotten into his brother?

A/N: well Nia's ok, Salina's ok. Nobody's dead! But Pakyzo is really getting on my nerves. And I'm not one who's making him like this. I could very easily change him, but then it wouldn't be a very good story would it, lol. Hope you enjoyed this chapter. Thanks.
