Tink
I wake up as I feel something moving on my lap. I open my eyes and I can see Henry slowly waking up as well. He sits up and I turn to look at him as I can feel my stiff neck hurting as hell. Oh! Falling asleep on the floor and leaning against a door is probably not a good idea. I can hear his stomach making noises and soon after mine joins him.
"Come on Bud, lets get changed and make breakfast."
He gives me a small smile and we stand up. When we both are changed and enter the kitchen I tell him to get everything we need to make pancakes and scrambled eggs. He starts to look for the ingredients while I take my phone off the counter to look at the time. 10:30n am it read. Not the time I´ve expected. I am about to lock my phone again but decide against it. I go to my messages instead and start typing a message to David and Snow asking if they would like to join us. After sending the text I lock it and put it back on the counter with the screen facing the counter top. I start preparing coffee while Henry is making scrambled eggs. After pouring myself some I start preparing the Pancakes.
"Would you like some hot chocolate, Henry?"
"Yes, please." He answers. He turns to look at me with a shy smile on his face.
"Could you also put some cinnamon…?"
"Cinnamon?" we say at the same time.
He turns his head as if to say how.
"Your mom." I tell him with a smile which gives me a smile in return. The smile doesn't last long though. He probably thinks about yesterday. I go over to him and turn him to me, stopping him at mixing the eggs.
"Your mom is strong. She will get through this. Just give her some time." I say. He nods and gives me a hug before turning around to continue with the eggs. I am about to put the pancake mix in a bowl when I hear a knock on the door and accidentally knock the bowl off the counter. Great! Henry looks at me and raises an eyebrow.
"I get it. Stay with the eggs." I tell him as I pick up the bowl and make may way to the door.
