A little short, but this whole story was designed to be short. I am so lazy when it comes to this story...ugh...

Chapter 10: Repairs Underway

"Why do places always look scarier in the dark," mumbled Sunstreaker.

The three had found their way back to the power room. It was much easier the second time. Ratchet and Prowl were attempting to repair the damaged line but it proved more difficult than expected. Sunstreaker leaned against the wall, talking mostly to avoid silence.

"Act like a soldier, Sunstreaker," ordered Prowl.

"Look, it's dark and we're against a crazed bot who actually knows his way around," gasped Sunstreaker, crossing his arms. "My brother's missing, our boss is missing, our friends our missing…of course I'm a little freaked and pissed off. Anyone would be."

"Sorry," mumbled Prowl sarcastically.

"What's up with the line anyway?" Sunstreaker hummed.

"Red knew exactly where to hit," Ratchet replied.

"It'll take a bit more to repair," Prowl offered. He pointed toward the darkness. "See if you can find a desk or any repair gear."

"Fine," shrugged Sunny, marching away.

The shadows followed him as he moved through the room. They warped and danced around his headlights. He couldn't find much, mostly the power lines stretching across the room and out through the floor or ceiling. He sighed, rolling his optics. Reaching the end of his patients, Sunny finally found a desk. He perked, searching through the drawers.

"Repair…repair…" whispered Sunny, becoming more panicked as he searched.

Noises seemed to creep up around him. The shadows danced and seemed to chuckle at his search. Sunny felt the walls closing in, surrounding him and tightening around him. His spark ached as the shadows surrounded him. He groaned, practically yanking the drawers out of the desk. Finally, he found some electrical tape. He let out a sigh.

"Sunstreaker!"

Sunny jumped, yelping. He stumbled backward, collapsing to the ground. He looked up slowly. Prowl stood over him, hands on his hips, looking utterly unimpressed. Sunny offered a little smile, easing the tension in his spark. Prowl rolled his optics, turning around and walking off. Sunny rolled over, standing up and chasing after Prowl.

"Did you find anything?" mumbled Prowl.

"Electrical tape?"

Prowl snatched the tape off Sunstreaker, kneeling beside Ratchet again. The two operated with the tape, moving swiftly but mostly out of Sunstreaker's sight. Suddenly the lights flickered on. Sunstreaker felt like cheering. Light never seemed more enjoyable. A smile crept onto his face.

"Don't smile yet," Prowl whispered, standing up.

"We still need to find everyone and stop Red Alert," nodded Ratchet, standing up as well, looking around.

"Which is more important?" Sunstreaker offered.

"We'd do better with backup," hummed Prowl, heading for the exit.

"You know he'll come back here…It's his advantage," Ratchet sighed, following Prowl.

"So we may have another power outage?" Sunstreaker sighed.

"It is entirely possible."

Sunstreaker groaned, slumping over. He sighed, standing up straight, and followed the two out.

"The power's back on…"

Red Alert looked around, staring at the lights as if they were alien creatures. He snarled, glaring at the lights. How? Not now…he thought. This can't be happening. He shouted, punching the wall. It cracked under his force.

"I knew three shouldn't have been allowed to leave alive," he snarled. "That is a mistake I will not make twice."
