I don't own Twilight.

I just like to play around in different worlds with them :)

I don't own the song that Bella sings but for this story let's just say she made it up.

I'm sorry it's been a while. I've been trying to get over being sick but I'm slowly getting there. Bare with me in the mean time.

Bella awoke slowly as the memories of the last few days returned. Esme has stayed by her side as she delt with the fact that she had killed Paul. She didn't like Paul but it was more to do with the fact that she had killed so willingly, not a thought crossed her mind that it wasn't the right thing to do or that there was another option. He attacked an innocent woman and she reacted without thinking. When Esme pointed out that she had killed Paul because she was saving Esme life Bella had felt a lot better. Then she felt guilty because she saw saving Esme's life was more important than Paul's, that there were lives that were more important than others.

Esme had explained that was the price to pay for saving family and had asked if she would feel the same if it were Billy she had been saving. The answer was immediately yes.

Sam's poison was working its way through her body, again. She was more annoyed than anything by the third day but Esme insisted they return to Carlisle so he could look at it, which meant telling him everything.

Esme had called him and asked him to empty the house for a few hours. Bella allowed Esme to drive her truck to their house and Jacob met them outside with Carlisle. Bella slid from the truck and Jacob took her arm around his neck to help her inside.

She sat on the sofa with Jacob while Carlisle examined her chest and shoulder carefully, staring at the black wispy tendrils that was starting to cover the majority of her upper right side. "This happens every time a wolf bites you?" He asked curiously.

"Only Werewolves," Bella shoulder bumped Jacob with a smile.

He smiled at her as Carlisle nodded, "So they poison you somehow. How long does it last?"

Bella shrugged, "Depends on depth, seriousness, and my health at the time. I was still getting over his first bite so it'll be at least a week and half to two weeks before it heals, which slows the progress of the first one."

He nodded, "I'd like you to stay here for the time being. I'd like to get a better understanding of your symptoms and maybe find a way to heal it faster."

Bella glanced at Esme who crossed her arms in that motherly but stern, 'you're staying whether you want to or not' way. She sighed and nodded at him. Jacob chuckled until Esme growled slightly and then he seemed to shrink under her glare.

"Don't even think you are leaving Jacob Black. You are not healed enough and I don't think you'll be safe on the reservation right now."

Jacob glanced at Bella and then nodded as he sighed, they knew she was right. It was Bella's turn to laugh. Esme began cooking as Carlisle took Bella and Jacob up to their room. They had no problem staying in the same room and Carlisle was intrigued at how it would turn out when their mates returned to find them sleeping in the same room, ever the scientist.

Bella could see that Carlisle loves his family but he has always been a man of science. He lives for experimenting and his children were always caught in the middle. They were sometimes too slow for Carlisle, especially when it came to something that was so plainly in front of them. Like Rosalie finding her mate in Bella but not doing anything about it.

So why not put Bella and Jacob in the same room and see what happens? Bella had to admire his ability to completely turn into a normal father and make his children uncomfortable.

He grinned as he pushed open the door at the top of the stairs, directly next to Rosalie's room on the left.

"We will get beds for you tomorrow when we head into the city. So you'll have to sleep on the floor tonight. We have plenty of blankets for you to use however."

Bella smiled at him, "Thank you sir."

He shook his head, "Please Carlisle. Esme will call when dinner is ready." He closed the door behind him with a cunning grin and blurred to his wife in the kitchen.

Jacob turned to Bella with a grin, "I imprinted on a Cullen."

Bella sat with her back against the wall, "Better not be Rosalie."

He grimaced and shook his head, "Eww no."

Bella growled slightly, "Did you just say eww about my mate?"

Jacob nodded, "Yes."

They burst into laughter and Carlisle and Esme smiled widely at each other below in the kitchen.

Bella smiled at Jacob, "So which one is it?"

He shook his head, "You'll have to guess."

"Ugh!" Bella groaned, "I'm going to the kitchen."

He followed Bella down stairs as the front door opened and the Cullen children entered, having just gotten out of school. Bella froze as Rosalie's eyes met hers and she couldn't move. Jacob sighed and shoved Bella down the last few steps, causing her to stumble, and right into Rosalie's arms.

Rosalie growled as she glared at Jacob but held Bella firmly in her arms. Bella stood and mumbled a thank you before she quickly retreated to the kitchen with Jacob.

They sat at the table as Esme put plates of food in front of them. Bella hadn't tasted a meal this good in her life and she couldn't get enough. Jacob was a bottomless pit as Emmett sat on his right and Edward sat on his left. Bella eyed the three of them for a moment and frowned.

Jacob laughed, "Good luck Bells." Edward grinned down at his plate, Bella assumed because he could hear Jacob's thoughts. Emmett grinned widely and shook his head.

Rosalie sat next to Bella, "How do you two know each other?"

Jacob grinned, "We, uhh… Grew up together."

Bella ate quickly as Rosalie frowned at her and Bella raised eyebrows at Jacob, "So Jake what are you doing here anyway?"

He glared at her for a moment, "Just visiting a friend."

"Which friend?" She fired off.

Jacob opened his mouth to respond then grinned at her, "Not that easy Bella."

Bella frowned at him, "That's mean."

He nodded, "Yes but so much fun watching you struggle."

Bella glared at him as Rosalie said, "Watch it mutt."

Jacob frowned at Rosalie and Bella grinned then stuck her tongue out at him. Rosalie laughed and Bella's heart stopped as she turned to look at her.

Rosalie shrugged at her, "What?"

Bella said with a blank face, "Your laugh is the most beautiful sound I've ever heard." She stood and handed her plate to Esme before she quickly disappeared up to the bedroom.

Rosalie sat completely still, shock keeping her in place. Joy spread like warmth through her body as Bella's words echoed around her head, her mate's words.

Emmett laughed, "I think Bella broke her."

Her siblings burst into laughter and Esme began reprimanding them quickly. Jacob disappeared up the stairs quickly and everyone focused on Carlisle and Esme.

Edward frowned, "So why is Bella here?"

Esme and Carlisle shared a glance then she said, "She's staying with us for a few weeks. End of discussion." Her tone was final.

Edward and Jasper glanced at each other then Jasper said, "What about Jacob? Does she know anything?"

Carlisle frowned, "You can ask Bella yourselves but not all at once and not for two days. She's very ill right now and needs rest."

Rosalie felt a spark of fear, "Sick with what Carlisle?"

He shook his head, "That is between her and I until she is ready to tell you. However Rosalie I suggest you push yourself to get to know her now."

'Time to put his plan into action', he thought with a small smirk.

Rosalie felt her heart sink into her stomach at the thought of something being seriously wrong with her mate.

Suddenly Jacob yelled, "Carlisle!"

Carlisle blurred up the stairs and found Jacob trying to hold Bella still as her body shook. Carlisle blurred to them and held her head, "She's having a seizure. Has this happened before?"

Jacob shook his head frantically, "Never."

Carlisle rolled Bella to her side as Esme entered and pulled Jacob up, "Go. Take a breath."

He nodded as his body shook and he ran from the house. Bella stopped shaking and slowly regained consciousness. Her mind was foggy and her head felt heavy as Carlisle laid her on Rosalie's bed. Rosalie sat beside her as she slowly fell asleep. Carlisle motioned to Esme and they went far enough away from the house so no one could hear them but they could still see it.

"Sam's poison is something more. I've never seen this type of damage to a shifter before. Bella herself said it's usually not this bad."

Esme nodded, "I smelled sulfur when he attacked."

Carlisle frowned, "Sulfur can kill a shifter, poison a vampire…." he trailed off.

Esme gasped, "Weaken and drive a Succubus insane."

Carlisle nodded, "Not to mention the other numerous supernatural things out there. In all that time she never told you what Renee was?"

Esme shook her head, worry creeping up her body, "Every time I asked she would become quiet, almost like she was afraid to speak."

They blurred back to the house as fast as possible and up to Rosalie's room. They found Jacob sitting next to Bella and Rosalie glaring at him from beside the balcony doors.

Esme asked, "Jacob what is Sam's problem with Bella?"

Jacob frowned at the girl on the bed. She was sweating and breathing heavily. Anger raged in his body, "He thinks she's his imprint. He wants her for a mate but she's not his."

Rosalie's growl was dark and dangerous. Jacob knelt on the floor beside the bed and held Bella's hand against his forehead as he closed his eyes.

"I kept him from her. Protected her from him. She became stronger and she found out what he was doing to me." He shook his head as tears rolled down his cheeks silently, "He found out about her difference and he swore to make her pay. That he would kill the freak. Even went to the Elders but dad already knew. He told Sam he would be banished if he tried to hurt her, she's family more than he knows."

Jacob kissed Bella's hand and stood, "The Elders think she's the savior of legend. The one that's supposed to keep Forks and the Rez safe from predators. That's why they refuse to hurt you. Bella said there was no threat from you. They follow her and because of Dad, they will not defy her."

A growl rumbled from Bella in her sleep and Carlisle said, "Jacob I must talk to you in private. Everyone leave. A few hours at most."

Everyone, Rosalie reluctantly, except Jacob and Esme left the area and Carlisle asked, "Is she a Succubus?"

Jacob shrugged, "I'm not sure exactly but among other things it's a possibility. I can smell the sulfur in her blood."

"How do we stop it?" Esme asked.

Jacob frowned, "Only sex with her mate can rid her body of the sulfur quickly, other than that it could be weeks. Her mate's energy is the strongest to her and sulfur has almost no chance against it, unless she gets an antidote."

Esme sighed, "So we need to get Rosalie to have sex with Bella without knowing anything about her or what's about to happen during? What about the antidote?"

Jacob shook his head, "Bella will refuse it. It requires her contacting her mother's family and I don't know if she would be willing, even if her life is on the line."

Carlisle nodded, "There isn't a lot of sulfur so we have time. We have two weeks to get them together and hope they figure it out on their own, or make Bella face something she doesn't want to do. Either way we need to find the fastest approach."

Jacob sat beside Bella again, "Easier said than done."

The next morning Bella slowly awoke and rubbed her head. A major headache was stirring and she groaned as she sat up. "Easy Bella Bear."

She glanced up and found Emmett sitting on the foot of the bed watching her carefully. She smiled at him, "How long have you been here?"

He shrugged, "A few hours. Here, Carlisle said this would help."

He held out a pill bottle and a glass of water. She took it eagerly and then smiled at him, "I'm sorry about all this Emmett."

He frowned, "For what Bella?"

She swung her legs over the side of the bed, "It's hard to explain."

"Bella I wanted to apologize."

She rolled her shoulders and popped her neck as she asked, "What for?"

"I pushed you too hard and –"

She shook her head and stood, "There is a lot that you don't understand or know about me. You have nothing to apologize for Bear Man."

She glanced around the room and frowned, "Why am I in Rosalie's room?"

He frowned, "How did you know this is Rosalie's room?"

She shrugged and slowly made her way out of the room. She could hear Jacob's voice downstairs and smiled as she made her way down with Emmett right behind her. Rosalie glared at them as they entered the room with no space between them. Bella couldn't help the grin that pulled at the corner of her lips as she watched the blonde try to reign in her anger and she took in the tense atmosphere in the room.

She looked at Jacob, "What's going on Jake?"

He spun to look at her with relief on his face, "Bella! How are you feeling?"

"Like a semi ran me over and then backed over me. What's going on down here?" She crossed her arms over her chest as she eyed her brother.

He shook his head, "Blondie here thinks you and Emmett slept together."

She chuckled, "We did."

His jaw dropped and a pain she had never seen on the carefree boy crossed his face. He stared between them for a moment before his body began to shake. She frowned at him, "What's wrong Jake?"

He shook his head as he shoved passed her and ran out the door. She could hear his shift as he entered the woods and she turned to look at Emmett, "What was that about?"

He sighed, "Nothing." She narrowed her eyes at him but shook her head, deciding not to push. He turned to the door, "I better go after him."

Bella frowned as she watched him blur out the door before turning back to Rosalie. She stood with anger on her face as she glared. She sighed in defeat and said, "There's something you need to know."

Rosalie crossed her arms over her chest, "Yes?"

"Emmett and I didn't sleep together. I slept he just laid there." She grinned.

Rosalie frowned, "So you two didn't…" She trailed off. She couldn't say it.

Bella grimaced, "Emmett's my best friend, of course not. Eww. I mean not that anyone wouldn't be lucky to have sex with him. I just don't see him that way. I hope he finds his mate and I truly want him to be happy."

Rosalie breathed a sigh of relief, "I need to apologize to him at some point then."

Bella nodded, "There's more to it than that."

She frowned at her, "What do you mean? Wait…. Bella did you say mate?" Bella's words finally caught up to Rosalie's suddenly slow working mind.

Bella smiled and nodded, "What? You honestly think I walked into the reclusive Cullen house not knowing this was a Vampires lair. I was slightly saddened about no motes or coffins but I digress." She shrugged.

Rosalie narrowed her eyes at the sarcastic brunette, "Ha ha, very funny."

Bella smiled, "Look Rosalie I knew long before you all came here, about vampires I mean. Hell I've delt with one before, not that it ended well but at least I'm alive."

Rosalie frowned, "What are-"

"Never mind, all in good time." She turned to look out the glass wall to the back of the Cullen house.

Rosalie watched Bella's back as she stood staring out the glass wall at the forest beyond and the river that flowed quickly passed the Cullen house. Her eyes widened as Bella's hair slowly began to turn pure white with a solid streak of pitch black on the right side.

She turned back to Rosalie when it was finished, "There are things about me that you don't know and I'm afraid that you won't accept them. Emmett knows some of it and that's why he and I have gotten so close. May I?" She motioned to the guitar that sat in its cradle next to the baby grand piano.

Rosalie nodded, unable to say anything. She was still trying to process the hair situation. Bella looked even more gorgeous now than she did before but when she looked into Bella's eyes they seemed an even brighter icy ocean blue and she knew if her heart had been beating, it would have stopped. She was so beyond gorgeous that Rosalie stopped breathing.

She wanted to touch her, to kiss her. Bella began to play as Edward leaned against the door frame and listened quietly, enjoying the melody. Rosalie turned her attention back to her mate. Bella stared into her eyes and smiled as she began to sing, her voice floating around Rosalie. It felt like a caress and soothed her into a peaceful state as she watched and listened to the perfect .

"Little do you know how I'm breaking while you fall asleep. Little do you know I'm still haunted by the memories. Little do you know I'm trying to pick myself up piece by piece. Little do you know I need a little more time. Underneath it all I'm held captive by the hole inside. I've been holding back for the fear that you might change your mind. I'm ready to forgive you but forgetting is a harder fight. Little do you know I need a little more time."

She stood in front of Rosalie and held her eyes, falling deeper into the bright gold.

"I'll wait, I'll wait. I love you like you've never felt the pain. I'll wait. I promise you, you don't have to be afraid. I'll wait. Love is here and here to stay. So lay your head on me. Little do you know I know you're hurting while I'm sound asleep. Little do you know all my mistakes are slowly drowning me. Little do you know I'm trying to make it better piece by piece. Little do you know I, I love you 'til the sun dies.

I'll wait. Just wait. I love you like I've never felt the pain. Just wait. I love you like I've never been afraid. Just wait. Our love is here, it's here to stay.

So lay your head on me. Lay your head on me. I'll wait. I'll wait. I love you like I've never felt the pain. I'll wait. I love you like I've never been afraid. I'll wait. Our love is here, it's here to stay."

Rosalie felt the venom tears in her eyes as Bella stepped closer and lowered the guitar. She cupped her face as she brought her lips mere centimeters from her own and sang softly, "So lay your head on me, cause little do you know I, I'll love you 'til the sun dies."

Rosalie closed her eyes as her heart soared in her chest and began a very soft faint beat. The beat of a vampire who has found its true mate.
