It actually didn't take me a month to update (I am very proud of myself) I hope you are entertained ;) I don't own anything…

Naruto's POV

I just dropped Hanabi off and boy was I late to school. I didn't know how Hinata did it…then again she was almost always late to school. I shook the thought out of my head and jogged through the school's front gates.

I arrived at the head office and made an excuse for myself before heading off to Kurenai's room. I walk a little faster than usual because I couldn't help but wonder if Hinata was even in class today. I didn't like to think otherwise.

I entered her classroom and everyone looked at me. Everyone but a set of pale lavender eyes. Though she wasn't staring at me, I was still relieved knowing that she was here. I let out a breath that I didn't even know that I was holding…she was here, but why hasn't she looked up at me yet? Maybe she's trying to keep up her reputation as a mute? I didn't have a lot of time to think about it because Kurenai started to talk.

"How nice it is for you to finally join us Uzumaki." She stated with a small glare. I chuckle nervously while rubbing the back of my head, a nervous habit that I seem to not have gotten over.

"Sorry for the interruption." I say then quickly and quietly make it to my seat as she continues to teach. I throw Hinata a quick glance only to see her hood on and her head down on the desk. I shrug it off for now and tried to pay attention.

As soon as the bell rang everyone jumped up and made a b-line for the door. I shake my head at them before realizing that Hinata was one of those people. I mentally curse myself and collect my things quickly. I wanted to talk to her for a bit.

I exit the classroom quickly and look for the indigo haired female. After about ten seconds of looking I saw her speed walking to her next class. I smile a little and was about to go confront her only to be tackled to the ground.

"You're supposed to be on your toes man." I heard Kiba's voice and I growl a little. There went my chatting time with HInata. Kiba extends his hand toward me and I gladly take it.

"Asshole…" I mutter after I get oxygen flowing through my lungs again.

"Hey don't get mad at me because you can't handle a simple tackle. And you're the one who got the scholarship." He said shaking his head. I only glare at him for a second before the bell rang signaling that class started in a minute and Hinata was nowhere to be found.

"Dammit Kiba. Now I'm lost her." I mumble under my breath but apparently he heard me as he raises an eyebrow.

"Ohh so Fishcake finally found an interest other that Haruno?" he said in a teasing voice and I glare at him. "Chill out I'm only joking." He said putting his hands up in defense.

"I'm not interested in her that way, Mutt." I tell him seriously and he rolls his eyes.

"Clearly. So what's her name? Is she hot? Does she have a nice ra-"

"What's with all the damn questions? I just told you I'm not interested in her that way. She's just a friend and I was going to talk to her about something until someone knocked me to the ground." I say irritated as I cross my arms.

"Hey I'm sorry that I wanted to say 'hi' damn. Nobody loves me anymore." He says jokingly before someone else joins our conversation.

"I love you baby." We hear and turn around only for Ino to jump into Kiba's arms. I smirk at the little interaction. When they start making out I decided to leave. I didn't need to see how much they love each other.

"I'll see you two at lunch." I say loudly, even though I'm pretty sure that they didn't even hear me. They were clearly…occupied we each other. I chuckle a little before jogging to my next class.

Class finally ended, feeling like I've been there for hours. Ebisu sure knew how to suck the life out of people. I shake my head and sighed a little. It was lunch time and I still haven't talked to Hinata. What was her problem? Was she seriously gonna play the part of the mute after everything they've been through?

I don't think I'll ever understand women. I walked into the cafeteria and spotted my friends at out table. I looked around a little bit for HInata but realized that she wasn't in the room. I sigh and ruffle my hair a little irritated. I was snapped out of my thoughts when I heard Sasuke's voice.

"Why are you just standing there looking like an idiot?" he asked me and I pout at him, pushing the thought of Hinata at the back of my head…for now.

"Whatever bastard. You know you wish to be me." I say striking a pose only to get laughter from the group. "Oii! Why are you laughing?" I glare at them and they continue to laugh.

"Who would want to be you?" I hear Shikamaru drawl out at the corner of the table and I glare at him.

"Correction...who would want to be you, Mr. Sleep-all-day-and-get-high-all-night?" I grumble and he smirks before giving me a smart remark.

"Temari's fan boys." He said simply causing the table to laugh again and I frown before sighing.

"Okay you got me." I stated with a smile. Lunch goes by with all of us laughing and smiling but I couldn't help but have this nagging feeling at the back of my head. I laugh at one more time before I hear one of the cafeteria doors open. I immediately turn to see Hinata walk in. My smile brightens and I call her over. The table looks at me like I had nine tails or something, but I ignore them and wave at Hinata.

I can tell that she heard me but couldn't tell if she was actually looking at me because of her hood and her hair. I was going to call out to her again but she just turned around and walked straight back into the cafeteria doors.

I immediately hop out of my seat and follow her, ignoring my protesting friends. I rush out of the lunch room and see her walking. When she heard me walk through the doors she looked behind her then quickly turned back around. Before I could call out to her, she started to run. She was running from me? That definitely didn't sit right with me.

"Hinata Wait!" I call out and chase after her. It didn't take long for me to catch up with her because of all the training I received and how short her legs were. I grabbed her by one of her wrists to stop her, but she only struggled against me.

"Hinata what's wrong?" I asked her. She was starting to worry me. She was looking down and I frowned as she didn't look up or say anything. I wanted her to look me in the eyes and tell me what's wrong. Did I do something wrong or was it-

"Hinata take off your hood." I commanded and she shook her head whispering a 'no' and that's when I decided to take matters in my own hands. I reached up, before she could protest, and pulled her hood down. She immediately looked down, letting her hair cascade over her face.

"HInata look at me." I growled out and I saw her flinch a little but still refused. I put my fingers underneath her chin and slowly lifter her face to look me in the eye.

She had a large bruise on the right side of her face and a busted lip. I gingerly touched the side of her face and she flinched back a little.

"Hiashi did this to you didn't he?" I asked calmly even though I was furious on the inside…even though I already knew the answer. She didn't answer.

"I swear I'm going to kill him." I said venomously. I saw my eyes flash heatedly in her eyes before I started to walk away. This man was pissing me off so badly. The only thought going through my head was that I was going to inflict so much pain on him.

"Where are you going Uzumaki?" I heard her call from behind me but I continued to walk with my mind set. I was out for blood.

"I already told you." I said simply then I heard foot steps behind me before I felt her small hands clinging onto my arms. I felt a shiver run through my spine but simply put that feeling away for another time.

"Stop. I'm fine-" I turn around and looked at her sharply. I wasn't mad at her but her bastard of a father.

"You call that," I indicated to her face. ", fine?" I ask hotly. "How is he beating on you, in any sense, fine?" I ask and she only shakes her head.

"It could have been worse." She says simply and I glare at her.

"Just because 'he went easy on you' doesn't justify what he did, right!" I yelled in rage and she glared at me.

"Keep your damn voice down." She whispered fiercely and I glare at the ground. How does she expect me to just sit here and do nothing? I turned around and kept walking. His ass was mine. Hinata ran in front of me and putting a hand on my chest, pushing me back.

"Where do you think you're going?" she asks me and I glare ahead of me.

"Out. I need some air." I said simply and she scoffed.

"You expect me to believe that? Naruto you can't go to the house and just beat the hell out of Hiashi." She said bitterly

"Why the hell not? I ask not trying to hold in my anger.

"Because he'd sue you. Did you ever think of that?" she asks me and the wheels start turning. "You have school to worry about. I'm not gonna let you throw your life away because of a bruised face and a busted lip. Plus I just gave you Hanabi…" she trailed off looking down at the ground. I sighed and let my anger slowly dissipate.

She was right. I probably would get arrested and if that happened, I probably couldn't get into college. I sighed and ruffled my hair a bit.

"You're right." I mumble and she sighs herself. Without thinking I take a step forward and wrap her in my arms. She struggles for a bit, but I held on tighter. "I'll get you out of this…I promise." I whisper quietly into her ear. It took a little while for her to answer but she did give me a faint nod and relaxed under my grip. Somehow, someway, I will get her out of this.
