Sorry about the wait but I had a little trouble deciding how to go about this chapter.

I've decided to close the poll for who Diana will end up with and here's the final total:

Will: 13

Steve: 4

Loki: 10.5

Clint: 2.5

So Will was the most popular so I went back to Chapter 2 and made a slight adjustment to take care of the change that he isn't going to be married in this story. It was only a couple sentences changed so it isn't a big deal if you don't go back.

Diana sat on one of the beds in the med bay swinging her legs and looking at the floor. She was not looking forward to talking about what was probably the worst couple months of her life.

Ratchet came over saying to the twins, who he had just finished fixing, "Now you two will stay in those beds until I say you can get up." He performed various tests on Diana such as x-rays and blood tests were complete he looked at the data. "Well nothing seems to be wrong-"

Diana interrupted Ratchet, "Nothing seems to be wrong?! I can go through walls."

"Let me rephrase," Ratchet said. "It doesn't seem to be doing any harm to your health. If I had more data I could know for certain."

Diana looked at him in shock. "But that would mean-"

"Yes that means using your abilities more," Ratchet said.

"And get a bad taste in my mouth and have people looking at me like I'm a freak every time? No thanks," Diana said. Plus I'd rather not have to undergo those blasted tests every day or week.

"Most people here would not think you're a freak and those that do are wrong and don't matter," Ratchet schooled Diana. "And the taste could just be your system getting used to the change."

"I never thought I'd say this," Sideswipe said sitting up to look at Diana, "but Ratchet's right" The others in the med bay stared at him in shock. Sideswipe continued with what he was saying, "Besides didn't you use your ability earlier when you clipped out of Will's hold to go after that annoying National Security Advisor?"

Diana opened her mouth to tell him no but closed it again when she realized he was right. The traitorous little voice inside her head said, You know that's the only way you would've gotten out of his hold. You know how you wouldn't have struggled as much as you would've if you didn't. Diana grumbled mentally, Oh shut up.

Sideswipe chuckled slightly to himself recognizing the expression on her face. When Sunstreaker asked him what was going on over their internal comms he told his twin that Diana was arguing with herself again about what her feelings for Major William Lennox really were.

"Alright you lot," Ratchet said. "Get out. I'm sure your brother's wearing a hole in the floor and you can't put off the inevitable any longer Diana." Diana sighed and she and the twins left the med bay. As they were leaving they heard Ratchet mutter, "He's almost as bad as Ironhide with the pacing."

Tony was pacing back and forth. Epps sighed exasperated, "Dude calm down. Diana will be here soon."

Tony glared at him, "Calm down? How do you expect me to calm down when my sister is still in medical because of something that happened to her that she never mentioned before."

"She never mentioned it because it isn't something she likes remembering let alone talking about," Will said. "It took us ages to get her to open up to us after it happened. She still avoids talking about it with any of us. Not that I blame her." Will muttered the last part fiercely.

Epps chuckled slightly at the look on his best friends face. He was truly blind to his true feelings he had for Diana and vice versa. "Anyways," Epps said when Will and the Avengers gave him a funny look, "the only reason Diana is still in medical is because Ratchet is always extremely thorough about his checkups. Which is why every single one of us humor and Autobot try to avoid the med bay as much as possible. Of course that drives Ratchet up the wall." Natasha looked at Clint since avoiding medical was something he did consistently.

"How are you doing Diana?" Bruce asked seeing Diana walk in and close the door behind her.

"I swear Ratchet has more tests every time I go in there," Diana grumbled at a halfhearted attempt at a joke. She sighed and sat in a chair next to Will.

Tony came and sat on Diana's other side. In a voice so gentle it shocked the Avengers who had only ever really seen the brash, cocky side of him, asked, "What happened to you Di?"

Diana hesitated slightly but when Epps gave her a small nodded and Will rested his hand on hers she took a deep breath. "Don't interrupt me because if I stop I don't know if I'll be able to continue. A couple months after Qatar and Mission City the C.I.A. asked me to help out with a special operation that they had going since I spoke the language. I can't talk much about the mission since it was classified but there were five of us who went. We finished the mission in a couple weeks but we didn't go home. We were picked up by a different driver than had dropped us off but that wasn't expected. When we got in the back of the can was when things went downhill.

"We were knocked out by some sort of gas and woke up strapped to metal chairs in individual rooms with glass rooms. There were about twenty rooms in all with someone in them arranged in a circle. For the next two months we were blasted and injected with various degrees of different radiation because they wanted to see what the human body could become and maybe create something similar to the super soldier program which is why they called the project, Project RSS or Project Super Soldier.

"After two months we were eventually found by the C.I.A. However by that time all the others were dead or almost dead. When the scientists found out most of them killed themselves rather than go to prison. Those who didn't were arrested by the C.I.A. but their bosses weren't because they were too well protected due to the fact they were part of Sector Seven.

"I spent two weeks in the hospital recovering from the radiation poisoning but unfortunately I was the only one who survived out of the twenty of us. When I was released I went back to N.E.S.T.'s base at Diego Garcia but something was different. I didn't understand it but suddenly I could see better both in the day and at night as well as smell and hear better too. I was more aware of what was going on around me, more flexible and agile, and my balance, accuracy, and reflexes were better. It wasn't until about a month after I got back that I realized the full extent of what happened.

"Will and I were heading to reset the targets at the shooting range. I was walking along the upper platform to do the top ones when I went through the metal to land on the floor. Later that day Will and Epps finally managed to get me to say what had happened."

Tony stared at Diana in shock wondering just how close she was to dying considering what happened to the others. He pulled her into a tight hug. "I'm so sorry Di," he whispered in her ear. "I really wish you'd said something, anything."

"I couldn't," Diana replied in a low voice. "It's painful to talk about."

"Just know you can always talk to me, alright," Tony said before pulling away. "Anyways what happened aside, what you can do is sweet." That made everyone in the room chuckle slightly.

"You would say that," Natasha said.

"Well it explains how you could tell where the machine and the two Autobots were in the building earlier," Loki said.

"And why back at Stark Tower your teammates looked at you weird when you said you'd been caught off guard," Bruce said.

"Yeah it definitely came as a shock," Epps said.

"But considering the situation not so much now," Will said looking at Diana carefully knowing she'd skimmed over what actually happened in the research lab and what she saw. "Oh Di guess what Ironhide has been setting up."

Diana looked at Will before grinning broadly. "No way. The obstacle course?"

"I swear you're one of the only one who actually enjoys that training course," Epps said shaking his head while Diana stuck her tongue at him.

"What is it?" Clint asked as he and Natasha looked interested.

"Well if you come along you'll find out," Diana said from where she was by the door.
