AN: I've had this chapter done for a few weeks now, I had planned to upload it last week, but given the holidays and such... You guys know what I mean? Speaking of which I hope you all had a wonderful holiday as well! And thank you for all the comments I received on the last chapter!

Mistress-Cinder: Yep! After all Sookie obviously has a thing for thick headed men! Heh heh!

Eli12: I'm glad to hear that, and hope you enjoy it as much as my other stories you've read!

Xsphinxslady: Yep I can't wait for the sequel either! I have so many scenes planned for those three... -grins-

Sookie felt as if she was floating in space. When her eyes opened, all she could see was darkness. She couldn't remember how she got here, and as soon as she thought that a scene was projected in the darkness. It showed her attempting to take in the energy of the tesseract.

'Oh... I guess I died.' Sookie thought to herself.

She should have probably felt grief over losing her life, but she couldn't feel anything. She just felt empty.

"Yes. You did." A voice spoke behind her. It belonged to a female. "It was quite foolish, what you did. Why did you attempt such a feat?"

"Because I wanted to save everyone." Sookie spoke to the mysterious voice.

"It never occurred to you that you might die? Some might call you reckless." The voice sounded amused.

"It might have been a foolish idea, but I had to try."

The voice chuckled and waved her hand. Sookie's life playing all around them. All the times she was bullied, all the good memories she had with the ones she loved, her time with the Avengers, Loki...

"You are an interesting one. I have never come across someone such as you." The owner of the voice took Sookie's hand, "And for that, I'll make a contract with you..."

Sookie's body began to feel warm.

"You shall be my new vessel."

The voice changed, this time, it sounded like Sookie.

As Loki awaited death, time seemed to stand still. One moment he was holding the lifeless body of his beloved, the next her body vanished.

He searched for her with his tear filled eyes, only to find her floating before him. Runes had appeared all over her body and were glowing blue, as was her hair and eyes. The missile was coming towards them still, but with a rise of her hand, Sookie conjured a portal, sending the vile thing straight into the Chitari's mother ship.

All around the city, the Chitari began to fall and die. The flying beasts in the skies crashed down to the ground.

Loki didn't see any of this however. All that he could see was his Sookie before him. She lowered her hand, the portal vanishing as soon as it fell. She then summoned another portal, this one smaller and she stared hard into it.

"...Interesting." A voice boomed through it.

Loki's whole body froze. He knew this voice. It was Thanos.

Sookie then began to address him. Her voice had an echoed effect to it, and she was speaking a language even Loki didn't know.

"You dare speak to me like that? You think just because you made a contract with someone that I will fear you?" Thanos laughed, "You do not scare me, witch."

Sookie spoke again, then her eyes began to glow brighter, he could now hear Thanos scream in agony.

"Fine! You have a deal!" He screamed and Sookie released him from whatever hold she had on him. "I will not touch Midgaurd or Asgard... They are yours."

Sookie smirked and spoke again before making that portal disappear. She then floated back down to the ground. Once her feet touched it, the glow disappeared from her body and she began to fall back to the ground.

Loki acted quickly and caught her. He looked her over quickly and was relieved to feel her breathing. He quickly brought her close, holding her to his chest.

"...Loki?" She rasped, her voice back to normal.

Loki pulled away and saw her eyes flutter open.

"What happened? D-Did... Did I die?" She asked him, and saw the tears that were still on his cheeks. "Please don't cry. I'm alright now ain't I?"

Loki gave a tearful laugh and hugged Sookie again. He had never felt so joyous in his life!

After Loki calmed down, he told Sookie what he saw. The two lovers were in the remains of Stark's penthouse.

"I did all of that?" She looked down at her hand, "I don't remember any of it..."

"You're alive now and that's all that matters." He placed a strand of hair behind her ear, "How do you feel?"

"Well I do feel different... I can't explain it, but I know I'm one with the tesseract now. I know I can create portals, and fly, and so much more, but I can't explain how I know about all these things."

"Perhaps the tesseract is telling you this? It is the Infinity Stone of the mind."

Before Sookie could ask what he meant, a noise brought their attention outside. The jet Sookie and Hawkeye had taken was now landing where the tesseract once stood. The Avengers exiting it.

"Looks like the honeymoon is over." Loki quipped sadly.

When everyone entered they were shocked to see Sookie alive and well. They were all relieved, but Loki's presence made their moods sour. Hawkeye drew his bow, ready to shoot him.

"Stop, please!" Sookie tried to stand but she was still wobbly, Loki quickly caught her again.

"Get away from him, Sookie." Tony lifted one of his blasters ready to fire.

Before Sookie could speak, Loki stepped forward, holding his hands up.

"I'll come willingly." He spoke sincerely, shocking everyone in the room.

"Loki..." Sookie whispered.

Loki smiled sadly at her, "It will be alright."

Thor was placing the cuffs on Loki, as everyone asked Sookie what happened. Sookie couldn't focus though, she just continued to watch the god she loved. She could feel it, they were about to say goodbye, and it was crushing her heart.

"I don't believe it..." Tony whispered as they all watched the footage of the events play on an IPad. It was the security camera's view.

While they watched, Loki looked to Thor.

"I know you're not my number one admirer at the moment, however... Can I at least say goodbye?" He glanced to Sookie.

Thor looked to his brother sadly, but then nodded, "Lady Sookie!" Sookie looked to Thor, "My brother wishes to speak to you before we leave."

Sookie nodded and came to them, Thor passed her, placing a comforting hand on her shoulder before joining the other Avengers.

They now stood together. Loki could see the tears in her eyes, and he gently kissed them away.

"Do not cry, Darling. Everything will be well..." Loki spoke softly.

"I'm never going to see you again, am I?" Sookie choked back a sob.

"Never say never, perhaps in a couple centuries Odin will release me on good behavior."

Sookie couldn't help it, she smirked, "Doubtful."

Loki chuckled, and lifted his arms up, and placed them around her, holding her the best he could.

"I will miss you, Ms. Faery... I will become a man worthy of you. Even if it takes me the rest of my life."

Sookie clung to him, "Just the fact that you're going willingly is proof that you are. Even if it breaks my heart."

Thor didn't want to break them apart, but he knew he had to. If he prolonged it, it would just be worse. They now stood in front of everyone, Thor double checking Loki's restraints.

"She could come with us you know..." Thor spoke softly so only Loki would hear.

"No." Thor looked up to Loki in shock, he was so sure he would want that, "She has family here she cares about. I will not have her see whatever Odin has planned for me... and I do not want Sookie anywhere near Odin."

"Loki-"

"No." Loki gave him a pointed look, "I will not have Odin attempt to use her, especially with her new powers. You know as well as I he will lock her away. She would never see the sun again."

Thor nodded, he hated to admit it, but Loki was right. Their father would view Sookie's power's as a threat.

When they were ready, the two turned to Sookie.

"Lady Sookie... If you would send us to Asgard please."

Sookie nodded, her tearful eyes never leaving Loki's. She raised her hand shakily, and it started to glow blue once again. As it warmed up, she could feel the tears fall.

"I love you, Sookie." Loki spoke up, his eyes never leaving her's.

Sookie smiled sadly, tears falling, "I love you too, Loki."

Then with a large blast, the two gods were transported back to Asgard.

Sookie fell onto her hands and knees and began to sob. Her heart ached so badly, she was afraid it would never heal.

Galaxies away, Thanos still glared at were the portal had been.

"Signy..." He growled and slammed his fist into his throne.
