Now, I'm sure you don't want me to describe every single little thing I'm doing in this second half of the temple, so I'll just summarize. (As of currently, I'm about to enter the boss room) Luna, Moona, Suna, and Twinkle had me go looking for their four friends Luka, Maurice, Sam, and Timmy, I'm not sure if they were brothers, I didn't bother asking them.
Luka was across the wind bridges and I had to make use of my boomerang to reach him. Then I had to use it to cut him down as his cage was suspended by a vine. Then he joined us!
We went back to the room with the staircase that appeared when all the torches were lit. Well, I threw my boomerang and the gust extinguished the flames, causing the staircase to sink back into the floor completely. Behind the staircase was a treasure chest I didn't know about and there was a piece of heart in there.
I got a compass from a treasure chest that was suspended by a vine in one of the first rooms in the temple. All that was in it was a compass, though. There was a red Rupee behind a boulder and I got it.
That one room that originally had a dead-end, there was one room I hadn't checked previously. In that room there was a gate I opened by spinning the locks with a gust from my boomerang and that's where I got the big key.
Then we backtracked again to the outdoor area with the wind and crossed a bridge again! We went through a few rooms that were uneventful in my opinion, but we finally found Maurice! He somehow got stuck behind a boulder and I had to blow it up with a Bombling to free him. Maurice joined us.
Sam was behind a gate. Still more reasonable than being trapped behind a boulder! My neck started aching at that point from flinging the boomerang so often! I bet it would have been easier if I was in my Hylian form. Also, Luna reminded me that Ook touched the boomerang after taunting us and his germs are in my mouth now. Back on topic. I had to spin the locks again, this time there were only two. Sam joined us.
Then, all that was left, that we just did before I decided to stop and tell you all this, we saved Timmy! He was down in a deep dark pit in a room full of holes. It wasn't pleasant and I fell into the wrong hole many times before finding the right one. The wrong ones had Deku Likes in them!
With all eight monkeys, I was able to get over a huge pit as they swung like a rope. Luna held onto me until I was sure it would be safe to jump.
"Good luck, Epic! We would go in and cheer you on, but it would be much too dangerous! Thanks again for rescuing us!" Luna calls out.
"Thanks for getting me here," I say, nodding a thanks.
I open the door up and enter.
"Get ready, Link, to face Twilit Parasite: Diababa!" Midna says.
As she says the name of the boss, two tentacle heads burst up out of some swampy purple water similar to the purple smog from the forest when it was being taken over by the twilight. I just barely get out of the way.
Once I am safely aside, I use my boomerang to grab a Bombling and the first tentacle head eats the Bombling! He explodes and dives back under the water. I do the same for the other tentacle head as it is working out well. The second head goes under and, for a second, I think that I have won already!
"I wouldn't get so excited if I were you..." Midna says.
I am wagging my tail very hard as though I am a puppy, not a teenage wolf. My excitement fades as Diababa returns, revealing himself to be more than just two tentacle heads. He screeches and pukes, destroying the Bomblings, rendering them useless.
"Aw man! They're completely useless now! How am I supposed to fight him?!" I ask.
"Uh. Just run! I'll think of something!" Midna says.
I run around and nearly get puked on quite a few times until I hear a voice call to me.
"Epic! I heard you could use some help!" the voice calls.
I look up and see Ook standing there with a Bombling.
"I'm on your side now. The parasite has left me!" Ook reassures me.
He starts swinging across the room carrying Bomblings. I go back to the old routine and throw my boomerang first at Ook to get the Bombling, then second to one of the heads. It does again and I repeat for the second head.
Assuming that the same strategy will still work, I aim a Bombling at Diababa's main head and he falls. His tongue, which is tipped with an eyeball lolls out and I start biting it over and over again. I just repeat this process until he is defeated and he withers away. His shriveled up body bursts and forms a strange darkly colored fragment that hovers above my nose.
"Oh yes! That's exactly what I needed! I'll be taking that from you, Link!" Midna says, snatching the fragment.
"What was that thing?!" I ask, my eyes wide.
"Oh, don't worry! You'll find out eventually!" Midna says, giggling.
Next to appear is a full heart. I collect it and feel a rush of relief as it heals me.
"Bye, Ook!" I call out.
Ook waves goodbye and goes to rejoin the monkeys. Midna teleports us out of the temple.
