Sorry this chapter took so long to put up. I would've had it up sooner, but I accidentally deleted it halfway through writing it. So, I had to start all over. I wasn't too happy about that. But, now it's up, and I hope you like it.
When Sonic walked onto the Boonta Eva Classic Podrace course, he noticed a few things. One, a crowd. All of the bleachers were filled up. It was like Sonic and Marli Whcha were U2. Two, Marli Whcha not being there.
"Guess he chickened out," Sonic thought.
"Hey," someone yelled from behind. Sonic turned around to see Marli Whcha. "You ready?"
"As ready as I'll ever be," Sonic replied.
Marli stepped into his podracer. Sonic got into a running position. The light turned on at red. It turned yellow. It turned green. On cue, Sonic and Marli both took off.
On the sidelines of the starting line were tents that had to be rented. They each had a stocked fridge, an air conditioner, and a widescreen TV with live coverage of the race. The gang had rented two tents. Anakin, Knuckles, Amy, and Cream got one tent. Tails and Cosmo got their own tent. He'd purposely asked for a private tent for reasons that will be revealed later.
"Go Sonic," Amy cheered.
"Go significantly faster than your opponent Sonic," Anakin cheered.
"You spend too much time at the Jedi Temple," Amy commented.
"Amy is kicking my butt at SongPop," Knuckles grumbled.
"I prefer to play Words With Friends," Cream said.
"You know who's good at Draw Something," Amy asked, "Tails."
"My IQ is greater than all of yours' combined and I have no clue what any of you are talking about," Anakin complained.
Meanwhile, in Tails and Cosmo's tent.
"Cosmo," Tails said.
"Yes Tails," Cosmo asked.
"I have something I wanted to give you," Tails answered, "I wanted to wait until we were alone."
"What is it Tails," Cosmo asked.
Tails showed Cosmo a rainbow colored bracelet that kept changing colors. "I made it myself," Tails said.
"Oh Tails," Cosmo said, "It's beautiful." Cosmo took it and put it on. "I love it," she said. Her and Tails leaned in to kiss, but they were interrupted by an explosion from the TV.
"I just can't catch a break today," Tails thought. Him and Cosmo looked at the TV to see Marli's podracer on fire. The two tried to run to the others' tent, but it was under attack by Boba Fett.
"Come on," Cosmo yelled, "We gotta helped."
"Stop right there," someone from behind them yelled. The two turned to see Cad Bane pointing his guns at them. "Move another inch and I'll shoot." After Bane finished his sentence, a black blur ran into Bane, knocking him unconscious. The black blur stopped to reveal it was Shadow.
"Shadow," Cosmo whispered.
"How'd you get here," Tails asked.
"Just get these guys out of here," Shadow yelled, "I'll hold off the attackers." And that's what they did.
How did Marli's podracer catch fire? As him and Sonic came onto the curve where the Tusken Raiders usually were, he figured it was too late for them to be out. But the Tusken Raiders should have been the least of his worries.
A laser shot one of Marli's engines, making the other engine and Marli's pod fall to the ground. Marli's other engine exploded upon impact with the ground and he jumped out of his pod to see it catch fire. When Sonic saw this, he stopped. Then, Sonic saw the source of the laser: a giant robot controlled by Eggman.
"Get out of here," Sonic yelled to Marli. He didn't object. "Hello Eggman," Sonic greeted.
"Hello Sonic," Eggman greeted, "How do you like my newest robot?"
"I've destroyed your robots before," Sonic yelled, "I'll do it again."
"Not this time," a voice yelled. Eggman pressed a red button and Grievous appeared next to him. "Now your chances of survival are slim," Grievous yelled. He ignited all four of his lightsabers and jumped onto the robot's hull. Then, something knocked Grievous to the ground. Also, it's time for a pop quiz.
What knocked Grievous to the ground?
wind.
Mars.
throwing Cheese like a ball.
Answer:C is correct. A is a possibility. B is the answer to the question, "Who sang the Lazy Song?" And I don't think I asked that.
Sonic's rescue had survived: Tails flying, holding Cosmo by her waist, Cream flying with Amy on her shoulders, Knuckles gliding, Shadow rushing on his roller skates with Anakin on his back, and Boba Fett flying with his Jetpack with Cad Bane holding onto his knees. While Knuckles landed on the ground and started pounding on Grievous, Tails took a grenade from his shoe and threw it at the rob it's feet. When the grenade exploded, the robot fell to the ground. Then, Tails, Cream, and Boba landed and Shadow stopped in front of Sonic.
"Thanks for the rescue guys," Sonic thanked.
"No problem," Tails replied.
"But," Sonic asked, "How did Shadow get here?"
"Chaos control," Shadow answered.
"And why are Boba and Bane on our sides," Sonic asked.
"Mind control," Shadow answered, "Never underestimate me."
Meanwhile, Eggman is starting to recover.
"The robot isn't strong enough," Eggman thought, "Time for Plan B."
So, Eggman pressed a red button on his control panel.
While the Sonic gang and Anakin were talking, the robot got to it's feet. Then, it sprouted armor that looked indestructible. The guys certainly noticed. When Knuckles stopped pounding on Grievous, Grievous kicked Knuckles over with the others. Then, Grievous climbed the robot and stood with Eggman.
"To be a fair sport," Eggman announced, "I'll give you three free hits."
Tails got another grenade and threw it at the robot. When it exploded, the robot was unharmed.
"One," Eggman mocked.
Knuckles attempted to drill through the robot, but he got knocked to the ground.
"Two," Grievous mocked.
Anakin threw his lightsaber at the robot, but the lightsaber just reflected off the robot and Anakin caught it.
"Three," Eggman yelled, "My turn." He readied the robot for battle mode.
Then, Anakin reached into his pocket, pulled out the time machine, and gave it to Sonic. "Use this to get out of here," Anakin yelled.
"What about you," Cosmo asked.
"I'll hold Eggman off," Anakin yelled.
"OK," Sonic said, "But we'll leave Bane and Boba here to help you." Sonic pressed some buttons on the time machine and, in a flash, Sonic and his friends (and Shadow) were gone.
"Good luck," Anakin whispered.
Sonic and the gang appeared in a futuristic hallway.
"We made it," Cream cheered.
"Are we in the past or future," Tails asked.
"I don't know," Sonic answered, "I just pressed random buttons."
"Why," Tails asked.
"I forgot how to work it," Sonic confessed.
"The important thing is that we're safe," Amy shared. While everybody began to check with each other, Shadow walked up to Cosmo.
"I want to apologize for attacking you back on the Blue Typhoon," Shadow said to her, "I wasn't in my right mind."
"When are you ever in your right mind," an irritating voice in Shadow's head asked.
"Shut up," Shadow thought back.
"It's OK," Cosmo replied, "I've forgiven you. I'm sure Tails has too." After overhearing this, Sonic and Tails thought that they could let their guard down around Shadow.
"Who are you people," a voice yelled. Everybody looked and saw a man in a robot suit, mask, and black cape. "I am Darth Vader. State your names."
