I'm back. But I only have my phone. I can't get my fucking laptop back till I get $100. Oh well sucks to suck. Just like my grammar. Dedicated to Niall Horan. I'm listening to This Town and it's Heaven to my ears. I know I have no business starting a new book BUT I was tempted to write one for Kat's reaction to Caroline's news. Prompt: Childhood friends. A slightly insecure Caroline with our favorite doppelganger, hunties. Get it!

"Care, you'll never beileve who I saw walking to your house," Katherine annouces walking into her house without knocking (She's done this since they were five.) with more than enough shopping bags with expensive brand logos on the bags. Katherine has always had expensive taste. Really expensive. Half the brand she finds over priced are Katherine's minimum. Caroline always looked at as if she can afford who cares where she shops.

"What?" One of the reasons they've become fast friends was because of their love for 'tea.' They thrived on gossip.

"I saw Klaus with another girl." All signs of excitement vanished from Caroline's face. Caroline's face visually dropped. She tried her best to fix it, but Katherine noticed. Katherine always noticed. She just did. Caroline accepted it. She still found it annoying, though.

"What's wrong, Carebear?" Katherine frowns.

"Klaus and I had...sex...yest...erday." Caroline ignores the surprised yet delighted expression on Katherine's face.

Katherine smiles, "Finally. You've been needing to release some stress FOREVER. You need to relax." Katherine pauses, "So sex with Klaus is it...you know good?"

Caroline has a shocked expression. She hadn't expected Katherine to 'approve' of her actions. But then again Katherine's always been a wild card. "It was magnificent. You'd think he was almost 2,000 years old with all the practice he's had."

Katherine smiles. "Do you have feelings for Klaus?"

Caroline sighs. "I thought we had a connection. That there was something between us. I guess not." She smiles sadly.

"Caroline," Klaus breathes, "you look lovely today." Caroline smiles at the sound of his British accent. Caroline loves to hear his voice. The way Klaus says her name always makes her smiles, butterflies fludder in her stomach. It's possible it's her drug.

Then she remembers the girl he was seen with. "Nik," she hears an unfamiliar voice yell across the word. Nik? The only people that have ever gotten away with that is his family. It's the girl. Caroline scoffs lowly.

"Caroline," Klaus, or at least that's what she calls him, introduced them, "this is Hayley Marshall." He puts his arm around her shoulder so casually it makes Caroline step back a little. "We grew up together."

"We go way back."

They laugh about the 'good days' thinking of some funny moment that she won't be let in on. This makes Caroline feel...she can't pin point. She does know one thing she doesn't like it.

"You and Hayley seem...close," Caroline mummbles to Klaus one day.

"I guess."

"Klaus," Caroline seethes through gritted teeth, "you let her call you Nik. Stefan tried the same thing and you broke his finger. You two are close." Caroline gets up. This conversation is so over. She hadn't meant to get so so so angry.

Klaus laughs gently grabbing her wrist and turing her around. "I guees we are . As long as I can remember she's been there." He laughs. "Though," Klaus starts leaning towards her ear (so close she can feel his minty breath), "you have nothing to worry about. Hayley and I are just friends."

"Who said I was worried?" Caroline stops to access her actions. Had she been worried? She remembers pacing her room floor a hundred times ranting to Kat over how he had introduced. How he had the nerve to put his arm (His arm Kat. His arm. It was drapped around her shoulder. It was screaming look at me. It was taunting me. I'm wrapped around another girls shoulder. "Sucks to suck, Blondie.) around this random, not to him apparently she add bitterly, girls shoulder. Then once that passed the flood arrived. She started questioning if they dated (You don't think they dated when they were younger, do you Kat? High school? Elementary? Did he have secret girlfriend that he neglected telling the group about...tell me about. OMG?! I'm losing the guy. The guy I didn't know I had feelings for.), what if they slept together (What if he lost his virginity to her? He said he lost it to a brunette he was friends with it. Caroline stopped to rationalize. He would tell her. Right?) this caused her to think about his past (Unless. Kat, you don't think he had more burennete friends. Katherine shakes her head laughing at her paronid friend. Klaus worshipps and loves Caroline. Even if he had those friends, it was long over probably before it began. In his eyes, nobody could take her place. Caroline is Klaus' everything. He'd be lost without her...Katherine suspects that it's not one sided. When she tunes back in to her friend, she's ranting more. Strawberry blondes? Platinum Blondes? Bleach dyed blondes? Wigged blondes? Weaved blondes? Oh my god!)

"I know you," Klaus says lowly, " I can assure you have nothing to lose sleep over. Katherine, on the other hand, Elijah and her used to be close. Something tells me she's not above reunions." Klaus kisses her on the cheek. "Bye."

Somehow, he knows her. Klaus knows Caroline has to warn Katherine. She kisses him. She stops herself. Not now.
