SPENCER'S P.O.V
I can't remember the last time I've felt like that.
Every touch was mind blowing.
FLASHBACK
"They're very persistent"
They've been knocking non stop since I walked in here.
"They're not important"
When she leans back in I meet her half way.
She's driving me crazy and she hasn't even touched me yet.
"Ashley are you sure?"
We're backstage at Madison Square Garden and tonights shows the biggest show of the tour.
It's highly unlikely the knocking's not important.
"I'm positive"
Her lips are only millimetres from mine.
"Ashley I was really hoping you'd say that"
This time when my lips touch hers it's more heated than before.
There's more urgency.
END FLASHBACK
"Earth to Spencer..."
Nikki's handing me a shot.
"Are you with me?"
My head's still back in Ashley's dressing room.
"I am..."
I force a smile.
"What are we toasting to Nik?"
"An incredible city..."
I quickly tap my glass against hers and down the shot.
"Spencer spill?"
When she says that I smile.
"Nik why are you just assuming that I have something to spill?"
"I'm not assuming Spence, you have something to spill"
She knows me so well.
"No judging me..."
"Spencer Carlin I would never judge you"
When she says that I laugh.
"Something happened..."
"A good something or a bad something?"
"I think it was a great something but you're probably going to think it's a bad something"
"Okay now I'm really curious"
There's no use beating around the bush.
"I slept with Ashley..."
"You what?"
"I had sex with Ashley"
"I thought that's what you said"
She's grinning.
"Spence what happened to you not liking her?"
"I had a change of heart"
When I say that she laughs.
"Wow..."
"SPENCER?"
Katie's heading my way and she doesn't look happy.
"Katie is the yelling really necessary?"
This should be interesting.
"Spencer you're a snake"
I'm kind of wishing I didn't suggest drinks at the hotel bar.
"I turn my back for two seconds..."
I have no idea what I've done but she manages Ashley so I'm guessing it has something to do with her.
"And you're in there doing whatever it is you do"
"I've really missed this Katie..."
"She has a contract with me Spencer"
I'm not sure what I've done to make her think I'm trying to sign Ashley, but she's pissed.
"Do contracts mean anything to you?"
"Are you done Katie?"
I don't really care if she's done or if she isn't, people are starting to stare.
"I have no interest in signing Ashley"
She's not buying it.
"So it wasn't you that I saw walking out of her dressing room?"
Shit.
"Why would a big hot shot manager like yourself be hanging out in Ashley's dressing room if you weren't trying to sign her?"
When I look over at Nikki she's smirking.
I'm glad she's amused.
"Spencer you're being annoyingly quiet"
"Katie I'm just waiting for you to start making sense..."
"SPENCER STAY THE FUCK AWAY FROM MY CLIENTS"
Katie's always been a fiery character.
So the way she's acting isn't surprising me.
"Katie?"
When I hear Ashley's voice I look up.
"Ashley we need to talk..."
"Katie you need to leave this hotel before I have you removed"
Okay I definitely wasn't expecting that.
"Ashley I can explain..."
"I'm not interested"
I would love to get up and walk away, but we're trapped.
"So we have one disagreement and you're just going to cut all ties with me and sign with her?"
When Ashley looks over at me I shrug my shoulders.
"Katie what are you talking about?"
I've been wondering the exact same thing.
"You haven't answered my phone calls in days and then I'm waiting outside your dressing room and she walks out"
When she points at me Ashley laughs.
"Katie, Blondie over here can't stand me"
I'm happy to go with this.
"She thinks I'm a piece of shit"
"That's true"
When I agree Ashley looks over at me.
"She thinks I'm an embarrassment to the industry..."
"I do"
When I say that she raises her eyebrows.
"A disgrace..."
"Yep"
I don't think I'm meant to agree with everything she's saying.
"A joke..."
"Pretty much"
I've taken it too far.
"We're going to go..."
When she nods at the exit her eyes lock on mine.
"Let's go have that chat Katie"
When they finally walk away Nikki laughs.
"Wow"
She needs a new word.
