I'm back, I'm sorry it took me so long to update the story, I've been reaaally busy... I really don't know if there's anyone still reading this (haha xD), but I still want to finish it, so here it is... Oh! and I don't have a Beta, and english is not my first language, so any mistake is purely mine... Thanks for reading!
"I know you don't want to take a risk Regina, I know you're scared," Tink interrupted, "but if you don't take risks you'll never be happy"
"Okay!... Let's do it!"
"What?"
"Yes... let's do it, let's find out to whom it leads"
"Regina, are you sure?" Tink asked in amazement.
"Yeah…", Regina doubted
"What if it doesn't lead us to Emma?"
"It doesn't matter, just do it"
Tinkerbell pulled from her purse a small jar with fairy dust and threw it into the air. Moments later a light appeared and they began to follow it through the city.
Meanwhile, across town, Emma was going nuts.
"Emma, you…" Snow pointed.
"ME WHAT?!"
"Ma, you're glowing"
"I'm what?"
Snow began to laugh loudly, scaring everyone.
"Snow! What's going on?", David asked.
Seeing everyone's reaction, Snow calmed down a bit.
"You may want to sit down for this", Snow said, making time.
No one sat, they stay stood in place, David still didn't understand what was happening, but henry had an idea, so he sat down by the window to see who was coming.
"Emma, the reason you're glowing is because the fairy dust" Snow said, but Emma didn't seem to understand, so she added "And it's used to find your soul mate"
Emma could at that moment, choose between pass out or run like crazy. But she did nothing about it. She sat there, thinking, waiting.
"Ma, do you have any idea who it might be?", Henry joked.
"Ha, ha, how funny. But no, I have no idea who it might be", Emma replied, clearly lying.
She did have an idea of who could be, or well, who she wants it to be. But wanting something does not make it real, or so she thought throughout her life.
At that very moment, someone knocked at the door, making everyone get eager.
"Alright Regina, here we are, are you ready for this?" Tink asked.
"No", the brunette replied sincerely, "But let's do this"
"Do you want me to come upstairs with you?"
"Yes, please Tink, don't leave me alone", Regina said almost begging.
"Of course, That's why I'm here, Regina, after all, I'm your fairy godmother"
"You're also are my friend Tink" she said hugging the blonde, "Thank you for everything"
"Regina! enough sentimentality. Time to go for your true love."
They went upstairs and when they were outside the door, both stopped breathing at the time that passed since knocking at the door until someone opened it.
"Hi Snow, I... Err"
Snow hugged Regina.
"I knew it! I'm so happy for both of you", Snow said to Regina's ear, "Please, come in, you had us waiting"
Regina was going to come inside, but Snow stopped her again.
"No... David, take Neal, Henry come on. Let's take a walk" Snow said giving an order
Everyone followed the order, even Tink. Regina finally went inside the apartment, closing the door behind her.
"Hey", Emma said standing nervously.
Regina was nervous too, she had practiced what she would said to Emma all the way here, because she felt sure the dust would guide her toward the blonde. But now, she was lost for words.
"I spoke with Robin", Emma said again because Regina was still in silent.
"I know… Emma, I…"
"Regina, what does this mean?"
"Miss Swan, I think it's a little obvious, don't you think?", the brunette said joking, getting confidence from nowhere.
Hearing this, Emma smiled and walked towards the brunette. Surrounding her with her arms, she approached and spoke into her ear.
"No, I don't know, care to explain it to me, Madame Mayor?"
"You're an idiot" Regina said, smiling as she hugged Emma.
"I'm your idiot"
"I love you, Emma Swan"
"I love you too, Regina Mills"
Both smiled and looked at each other for a moment, then completely remove the space that separated them joining their lips in a kiss, this time without worries, no cares, no insecurities. Only love.
After a few minutes and a long kiss while standing, Emma led the brunette to the couch. Regina seeing what Emma planned, smiled, but made both stop immediately.
"Emma, even if I really want this to happen, believe me I do not want our first time to be in your parents' house"
The blonde started laughing, making Regina laugh in the process.
"I know, I know, me neither... I guess I got carried away by the moment, I'm sorry", Emma said a little embarrassed.
"Hey, you have nothing to apologize for. We both got carried away, but I guess now is not the time nor place adequate" she said composing a smile, making Emma's face also lit up.
While the rest of them return from their convenient walk, Emma and Regina stayed on the couch holding each other.
"Regina, now that we know we are soulmates, what happens next?" Emma asked, a little scared.
The brunette noticed fear in the other woman words, so she took her hand and laced her fingers with Emma's.
"If you're talking about Robin, I've already spoken to him, and he even has taken it very well. But right now, Emma, I don't know...", Regina responded just as scared as Emma, "but we'll find out together"
This made Emma smiled. At that time, Regina knew she could never get tired of that smile, she could never get tired of Emma, she could never stop loving her.
"Regina ... Would you be my girlfriend?" Emma asked. "it's okay if you don't want to ... I mean, I know it's very soon, sorry, I shouldn't have asked... I..."
"Emma, shut up", Regina said and then she was kissing the blonde who wouldn't stop babbling, "Yes, I want to be your girlfriend"
"Woah... that was... that was amazing... To know that all these years you could've make me shut up like this", Emma joked.
"Well, I guess what people says about that the best things in life take time ... this time it's true. But I do regret not having done it before"
Emma took Regina's face in her hands, caressing her cheeks.
"Well, now you can do it anytime, anywhere"
"Very true," Regina said with a sassy smile, "you're my girlfriend now"
They approached again, disappearing the space between them, kissing, using the minutes they have until the others returned.
