Act 2
Chapter 3
Twitch was able to experience the rest of the night without any more unsettling dreams like the one he had just had. No dreams about the past, nothing about Jos-…he didn't have any nightmares. Still, in the longest of times he began thinking about something he wanted to push in the back of his mind, his dad, Joseph. While Twitch missed him greatly, it pained his heart thinking of how he was killed without any mercy, any regret, those monster just…no, he didn't want to go down that line of thought. This was the reason Twitch didn't think on the past, if he thought for too long he would begin to cry, get really angry, or both. While Twitch didn't know this, Joseph's death was another reason why he wouldn't ever kill someone without a good reason, he couldn't give the pain of losing a love one to a innocent person by killing their father, uncle, mom, cousin, etc.
Once Twitch had opened his eyes, he blinked the sleep out of his eyes and yawned. Twitch didn't remember the last time he slept and felt this good, usually he would wake up grumpy or sore from the uncomfortable mattress he slept on at home but today was different. He remembered falling asleep on Sivir's couch, but the couch wasn't as comfortable as what he was laying on right now, it felt more soft and warm…Twitch's heart felt like it stopped when he realized where he was and what, or more like who, he was laying on. He slowly turned his head forward and saw Sivir's face close to his, she was still asleep and breathing softly, a smile on her lips. Twitch then proceeded to look down and blushed at what he was laying on, Sivir's breasts. Twitch tried to inch away slowly, but he was kept close to Sivir by her arms that were holding him close and tightly so he couldn't get away. Technically he could get away if he wanted to by forcing his way from her arms, but if he did that than Sivir would wake up and find his face pressed against her breasts, and Twitch was not ready for what might happen if she got mad.
Still, he couldn't just stay there could he? She would have to wake up eventually and when she woke up she would find out anyway.
Wait, how did Twitch even end up pressed on top of Sivir like this on the couch? Twitch remembered Sivir waking him up from his nightmare and then turning on the TV so they could watch some show, and then after that Twitch had laid his head on her shoulder…oh, so that was how it happened. While Twitch had fallen asleep with her head on Sivir, they must have somehow in some way ended up in this position. The big question though was still if Sivir would get mad. Twitch looked at her face and saw that despite Twitch's body being somewhat on top of her she was smiling comfortably. Did she enjoy Twitch being this close to her? That couldn't be, why would anyone want someone like Twitch to be this close to them in any way, shape, or form? Most people could probably guess why, but even after awhile of being close with Sivir he still found it strange anyone could have any feelings for him that weren't hate or disgust, lately thought it's been more hate than disgust since Sivir has been forcing Twitch to take a bath almost every day. Twitch smiled, he didn't mind getting in water that much anymore, but it was still fun to infuriate Sivir by refusing to or arguing with her. Most of his days have actually been spent being with Sivir, Twitch realized, he barely even spent time at his home except to go to sleep or see Maurice, the non-mutated, normal rat that Twitch sometimes spoke to.
Maybe she wouldn't mind Twitch doing this since she didn't push him away when he began laying on her and maybe even if she did mind she would forgive him if he could give a good reason. If she really minded him being on her than she wouldn't have let him lay on her shoulder in the first place, still, there was a difference between a woman's breasts and shoulder. Twitch, his cheeks blushing madly red but was kept slightly hidden by his fur, looked at Sivir's…breasts. Twitch didn't know much on breasts, what they were for, and all that junk but he did know that they felt good. Sivir's breasts were large, for sure, not as large as Sona's but still pretty huge and round. Twitch didn't know what came over him, but suddenly he felt hot and his member was pressing against his pants wanting to be free. He also did something he never thought he would do, he touched them, not with his face or just a light poke with his finger, no it was a full on grope with his right hand on one of her breasts. Twitch realized what he was doing and quickly released it, grabbing her breast like that also woke Sivir, before she saw him Twitch closed his eyes and pretended like he was asleep.
Twitch kept his eyes closed and continued snoring like he was asleep, no sound came from Sivir besides a low gasp then there was nothing for a few minutes. The silence resumed for a few more minutes and then Twitch felt Sivir shift slightly and he wondered what she was doing. He realized what she was trying to do when he felt Sivir's arms being removed from around his body and one of them being placed on top of his head, this hand began to lightly stroke through Twitch's fur. Twitch had to stop himself from moaning from the pleasure the contact brought but he couldn't help but let out a soft sigh. He heard a giggle and the stroking continued on. Twitch kept his eyes shut and focused on the hand on his head, he would have fell asleep if Sivir hadn't stopped the stroking. She must have fallen asleep, she also didn't have her arms wrapped around her, now was his time to escape. At the same time though, after the stroking he got from Sivir, he didn't really want to escape.
She did wake up and saw him pressed against her like this, if she minded she would've woken him or pushed him away, but she performed neither and instead rubbed the top of Twitch's head.
Maybe he could stay in this position for a little while longer, it couldn't hurt right?
When Twitch opened his eyes he found himself under a tall oak tree that was shielding him from the rain that was pouring down hard from the heavens.
He had no idea how he got to this place or where he was, the oak trees looked like the ones outside of Zaun, but at the same time they weren't.
Twitch stood up and once he did in the blink of an eye the rain stopped and Twitch could see more of what was in front of him. There was nothing but more tall trees and foliage, something did catch his eyes though, there was a bright light shinning in the distance before him.
Twitch walked toward the light.
Once He got close enough to it the light seemed to move forward into the distance and Twitch walked to it again. Again he reached the light and it moved. Twitch reached the light again and it moved. Soon the light was moving away sooner before Twitch could make it and Twitch started running after it. Every time he thought he reached the light it would just more more father away. This pattern continued on until finally he reached the light.
He was blinded by being so close to the light, after a minute the light faded away and Twitch regained his sight. He found though that he wasn't in the mysterious woods he was before, but outside the window of a building.
The window of this building was covered by a curtain and Twitch couldn't see inside. He then made the mistake of looking around and once he looked down he clung harder to the wall. Below him had to be a thirty stories drop. If anyone were to fall from this their whole body would splatter across the ground once they landed.
Twitch had no idea how he got here or why he was here, what he knew right now in that moment was that he had no intention of falling. It seemed like it would be a easy thing to happen since the ledge he was standing on was super thin and only half of his foot was actually on it, he had to hand on to the thin edge of the windows so he wouldn't lean back and trip off.
A breeze blew through Twitch's fur and it would have sent him flying off the ledge if it kept continuing, luckily it stopped and Twitch regained his balance. He had his eyes closed while the wind was blowing through him and once he opened them he saw that the curtains that had been blocking the window were now gone and he could see inside.
He couldn't see much of the inside, but from what he could see the room had a pink theme to it and almost everything was pink except for the wooden floor. It looked like a room that belonged to a fairy tale princess.
Twitch blinked his eyes and suddenly someone was standing in front of the window looking back at him.
Tears filled Twitch's eyes as he realized who it was.
"M-M…Martha?"
The little girl who had shown so much kindness to him more than anyone before. She must have had a birthday after so much time because she was slightly taller, but not too much taller, and her hair looked longer and more neat. She was also wearing much nicer clothes that looked really expensive, most likely her dad bought them for her and fixed her hair. The room suited her because In a way she did look like a princes with her pink dress and rosy cheeks.
"M-Martha, it's me, Twitch!"
Martha smiled and waved at Twitch through the window, Twitch smiled and waved back. Something was off though that whipped Twitch's smile off his face. Martha was just standing there and waving, she didn't stop or even blink.
"Martha? Are you okay?"
Twitch's eyes widened as he realized that Martha wasn't alone in the room. Behind her was a person covered by some kind of blue robes with a knife held to Martha's neck. Twitch started banging on the window.
"Don't hurt her you bastard!"
Twitch heard a low chuckle and then SLICE. The robed person had cut a line across Martha's neck and the girl had a look of shock as she fell to the floor.
"No!"
Twitch had started banging the window so hard that he had lost his footing and fell off the ledge. Before he was able to hit the ground he closed his eyes and when he opened them he was back on the couch in Sivir's room.
Sweat was pouring down Twitch's face and he whipped it all away. First the nightmare with Joseph and now this one, why was he suddenly having such horrible nightmares?
"Twitch?"
Twitch took his time getting off of the couch and then looked at where the voice had come from. It came from Sivir who was sitting at the kitchen table eating a plate of pancakes and a cup of orange juice. She was still in her pajamas which were a t-shirt that exposed her muscular stomach and a pair of sweatpants. This told Twitch that not that much time must have passed and also it was a much more pleasant sight than the one he had to see in his nightmare.
"You were talking in your sleep again, you didn't have another nightmare did you?"
"No." Twitch lied, he didn't want Sivir to keep worrying over him so he acted like nothing happened.
Sivir looked at Twitch for a second then shrugged and continued eating her breakfast. Twitch joined her at the table, unlike her he had slept with all of his clothes, goggle and all. He agreed to not sleep in the nude like he did at his home after what happened last time.
Twitch still didn't know how she could mistaken it for a TV remote.
"You aren't going to eat anything?" Sivir asked, a piece of pancake on her fork.
"Got anymore cookies?"
"No, I bought some new ones yesterday tho-"
"Never mind, I'll just go through the trash." Twitch excused himself from the table and started digging through Sivir's trash.
Sivir had gotten used to Twitch doing this, even though it left his breath smelling horrible watching him do this wasn't as bad as it was the first time she saw him rummaging through trash. Besides his gross habits, Sivir had to admit that at times Twitch looked very cute…wait, what did she just think?
Sivir didn't have time to think though when Twitch tapped her on the shoulder.
"Sivir?"
"Uh, Yes?"
Twitch lowered his head, he wanted to do this, a great part of him begged him to tell Sivir the truth, the truth about his past. She deserved to know what was bother him, Twitch did consider her highly as a friend, even as much as he did Martha. Still another part wanted him to keep it inside and to not let anyone know how what happened. So many men he killed…he let his own dad die just because of some girl that he thought looked good.
Sivir noticed the conflict going on inside Twitch and she stood up and put a comforting hand on top of his head and began rubbing it similarly to when she did when he was asleep. It worked as it calmed Twitch down and he let out a sound that could only be described as a weird kind of purr. Once she had stopped Twitch must have sorted his thoughts because he suddenly started to talk really fast.
"AlongtimeagoIlivedinthisvillagefarawayfromherewithmydadJosephandtogetherwelivedinthishousetogetherand-"
"Wait, slow down there, repeat that but slower, okay?"
Twitch took a breath and talked at a slower, clearer pace.
He told Sivir the truth about what his first nightmare was about, not the second one though since he thought it wasn't as significant as the first. Twitch told her of his past, his father, everything. He even spoke more on when he got to the part when he killed the villagers that murdered his father and how horrible it was.
"I killed them all, with no remorse, no mercy…I never done anything like that before and after I calmed down I started to cry in the middle of the woods, not caring if anyone heard me or saw me." Sometime during the story Twitch and Sivir had sat down next to each other on the couch, Sivir put a comforting arm on his shoulder, but It did little. "Maybe I'm a monster, I'm certainly not human…"
There was silence between the two. Twitch had tears pouring out his eyes, after keeping all of that to himself for so long it hurt letting all of that bottle up pain out at once. No matter how many years passed, he could still remember perfectly the image of his father being hanged, and his face, oh gods his face.
Sivir didn't know what to say, hearing all of this come from Twitch had left her stunned. She had actually been to that village once, not while Twitch was there but still she was there, and she knew how intolerable the villagers were to things that are different. They didn't like Yordles, half-breeds, anything that wasn't one hundred percent human. She didn't know though that the hatred was that bad that they would go as far to hang a man.
Sivir closed her eyes and thought for a few minutes. She wasn't good with comforting others, mostly because she had no one that she cared a lot about that she thought it was worth trying to comfort them. She also had no one that comforted her in any way before Twitch…except…her. She always cared for Sivir when she was young, while her parents were off tomb raiding she was watched over by one of the elders in her nomadic tribe in Shurima. That woman was the only person that tried to teach her about morals, empathy, and things that the tribe considered invaluable. While Sivir ignored all of these teachings for her want to be more like her parents she still loved the woman very much, hell, she was probably more of a mother than Sivir's actually mother. She always had this way of calming Sivir down when she was sad or angry, she would sing this song to her. Sivir closed her eyes and searched for the words of the song, she remembered the name perfectly, but the words…
Twitch's ears perked up when he started to hear a low humming sound coming from Sivir. He looked at her and whipped his tears, she was looking in his direction but with her eyes closed.
(A/N: I just can't find a good song to put in here, maybe if I ever find one I will update this chapter with actual song lyrics :/)
Sivir reached back into her memory of that elderly woman (Sivir had sadly forgotten her name) and the words she would sing to her. The song was basically about how everyone goes through strife in their life, but there is always a light at the end of the tunnel. Sivir finished the song after a few minutes and took a breath, she had messed up on a few words and she didn't see herself as a talented singer in general. When she opened her eyes though she was able to see the effect it had on Twitch. He was crying more than before and he constantly whipped away the tears to only have them replaced with more tears.
"Oh Gods, was it that bad?"
"J-Joseph used to sing that song to me sometimes." Sivir was brought out of her thoughts and focused on Twitch. "He was a horrible singer and sometimes he forgot the words to it, but it still helped get me to sleep when I was a baby."
A light bulb turned on in Sivir's head, while he had been focusing a lot on murdering the villagers in cold blood that wasn't what was truly troubling him to this day. Twitch missed Joseph.
"You miss him don't you."
"More than words can describe…I could've saved him, I could've…" Twitch put his face in his palms and cried into them. "I didn't though, I never got to apologize for what I did and the last moment I ever had with him was him being angry at me. I didn't get to tell him how much I love him, I never once thought of what would happen if Joseph died, I don't know maybe I thought he was immortal or something, but I never thought about how it would feel like to not have him with me anymore…it hurts, it hurts real bad."
Twitch gasped when suddenly Sivir wrapped a arm around him and pulled him close to her for a hug. Twitch said nothing and simply closed his eyes and sighed, he probably wouldn't ever be able to get over what happened to his dad. He wrapped his own arms around her and smiled through his tears. At least he had a friend.
The two champions sat their wrapped in each other's embrace until a few minutes after when Sivir broke the embrace and they just sat close next to each other, looking into each other's eyes. Sivir realized he had been staring at Twitch and blushed, Twitch blushed too but his was more hidden underneath his fur.
"So, how about some TV?" Sivir stammered out, still blushing from what had happened.
"Sure!" Twitch said rather quickly then he meant to.
Sivir grabbed the TV remote off from the coffee table and turned on the television, hoping that some mindless TV show would take her mind off of what just happened. She wouldn't admit it to anyone, but she felt a small spark when she was looking into his eyes, it was hard to explain, but it made her heart flutter.
Sivir had been with a few men in her life, but all of them ended early and horribly. Some thought she was more in love with gold than anyone (which for awhile until now, was true) and the other half only wanted her for her gold and they usually ended up dead by Sivir's hand or they disappeared to avoid her wrath. It wasn't that she was ugly, but more because she wasn't the most affectionate person to anyone besides her gold. Now that she had her eyes opened that gold wasn't the only thing that mattered in this world, she wondered if she could have another shot at love again.
Specifically with Twitch?
Sivir blushed and pushed back the voice in her head. She wanted to have another try at romance, but…Twitch? Sure he was a nice, funny guy but…he wasn't human! What would other people think? Could they ever have a normal relationship when a lot of people want him dead? Human and Yordle relationships were hard to come by, but a human and giant, mutant rat one? That had to be a first.
Do you really care what others think?
"N-No."
Do you think people trying to kill Twitch would get in the way?
Was she actually having an argument with herself?
"No, they would die before they could lay a single finger on him!"
Than what's stopping you?
"…Nothing."
"What Sivir?"
"Oh nothing, I just said nothing good is on TV now a days." Sivir let out a awkward laugh and hoped that Twitch would buy her excuse. Luckily Twitch smiled and let out a chuckle.
"I know right?"
Sivir let out a sigh, glad that Twitch believed her lie. She wouldn't lie about one thing though, she never would've thought that she would be crushing on a mutant rat! Maybe she was just out of it, she had been spending a lot of time with him and he was her only friend. Yeah, that had to be it, Sivir wasn't actually in love with him! Right?
"I don't actually like Twitch, I don't actually like Twitch."
No matter how many times you say it it doesn't make it true.
A/N: Man, I'm on a roll with this story. I just got so much inspiration that I can't stop writing! That's a good thing since that gives you chapters earlier. Another thing that helps is that my story "The Outcasts" is being rewritten so I have more time to write for this one while I plan the rewrite for that story.
This chapter is just fluff central for Twitch and Sivir, but judging from a few PMs I got I don't think anyone minds at all ;). I always loved relationships that test the boundaries of species/race, it adds more drama and complications to the mix making a better love story in my opinion.
The next chapter will involve, you guessed it, even more Twitch and Sivir moments, be warned though, things aren't going to stay all sunshine and lollipops.
You'll just have to wait and see what I mean, until then though, have a wonderful day/night and see you in the next chapter!
