Anyway hello all, welcome back to my GX fic, where card game rules come to die. Literary, barely any of my Cards' effects make little to no sense after I just reread them.
But before we start just two quick reminders: 1) I'm still taking OC for the School Duel, I've been given a lot of Single Matches but no Doubles as of yet so why not give 'em in? 2) I have a pole on my profile for the next story I'm gonna write so go vote. So far Rosario 555 is wining with only three votes.
But now it's time to go!

CHAPTER 10: EQUATION FOR SUCCESS
It's been a week since the expulsion duels. Zeke had beat the mind controlled Bandit Keith and his strange Dark Emperor card. While Jaden and Syrus managed to beat the tag teaming legendary Paradox Brothers. During the week, the three had to do that report given to them by Chancellor Sheppard, as well as helping Zeke recover from his duel. And in the end, Miss Fountain discharged him as if he were never hurt.
But now it's gym today, so naturally in a Duel Academy they played the most card game like sport ever….Base Ball! American favourite! It's currently Slifers VS Ras and the Reds were up for batters while Ras took to the field. Slifers were leading 3-0 and Jaden was batting.
"Keep your eye on the ball Jaden!" Syrus coached at the Hero Duellist.
"Heh, it'll be hard to that…" Jaden replied. "I'll hit the ball right outta the park so we can have a six run lead!"
"In your dreams!" Zeke called out, playing the catcher. "All it takes are three strikes Jaden, THREE!"
"Like the same three that got you out?" Jaden taunted, making the Rider Duellist slump as he remembered his swing and misses.
"Hold on! Time out!" A voice said as Bastion ran into the field. "I was deep into some ATK point quantum mechanics and lost track of time."
"Can ya throw?" One of the yellows asked Bastion.
"Sure."
"Well we need a new arm, pitcher change!" The tired Ra pitcher left the field while Bastion takes the stand.
"This isn't a written exam Bastion!" Jaden warned tauntingly. "I hope you know what you're getting into!"
"Oh I wouldn't be so sure Jaden." Zeke couldn't help but smirk. "Bastion's got one hell of an arm."
"I believe Zeke is right Jaden." Bastion said, getting ready to throw. "Now get ready; this is gonna get hot!" Bastion didn't wait for the signals before throwing the ball straight down the middle, right into Zeke's hands.
"Strike one!" Zeke called out.
"Strike two!"
"Strike three and you're out! HA-HA!"
"Nuts!" Jaden shouted.
"Told ya, Bastion's got one hell of an arm." Zeke said, taking off the catcher gear. "If you think he's good at throwing, just wait till you see him bat."
"Yeah, we'll see…" Jaden said taking to the pitcher mound, Syrus going to the catcher spot.
Near the end of the game, Jaden was able to strike out two batters, yet got sloppy and let a couple go.
"Ball four, take your place!" For the next three batters, Zeke being one of 'em, Jaden just let them walk intentionally.
"Time!" Syrus called, all the reds meeting up at the mound. "Jaden, what happened? You got two outs and walked the last three batters!"
"Pretty slick right?" Jaden smirked.
"Slick?!" The reds asked.
"Yeah, it's the only way to pitch Bastion." Jaden revealed.
"What?! You walked all those guys just to so you could get even with Bastion?!" Syrus asked.
"Nah, I wanna get ahead!" He declared as Bastion took his place as the batter. "You hear that buddy? You're going down!"
Bastion put his helmet on and smiled. "Yeah, down the bases!" He replied. "Now gimme your best Jaden! That is if you can even get the ball over the plate!"
"You want it?! You got it!" Jaden pitched the fastball, hoping that Bastion would swing and miss. He swung but hit it outta the park!
Meanwhile, Dr Crowler was muttering to himself as he walked by the field. "The Paradox Brothers couldn't beat Jaden, Chazz couldn't beat Jaden! I need someone who can beat Jaden-AH!" His ranting was interrupted by a baseball hitting him square in the eye. Knocking him into some baseball equipment.
"Heads up!" Crowler popped out of the pile, seeing Jaden and Syrus. The Slifers freaked when they realised who they hit.
"IT'S YOU! WHO ELSE WOULD CAUSE ME SUCH PAIN?!" Crowler screamed.
"That's keeping your eye on the ball…" Syrus couldn't help but crack.
"Sorry," Jaden said. "It was…"
"My fault!" Bastion called, running up to the three. "I was the one who hit the ball."
"Of course." Crowler's mood instantly changed. "Here I was looking for a new accomplice and here it hits me right in the face! Well the eye but that's beside the point."
"Dr Crowler, please accept my apologies." Bastion said, bowing in respect.
"Nonsense. I've been meaning to have my contacts refitted anyway so now I have the perfect excuse." Crowler waved off. 'And a new protégé to back me up!'
"Um…"
Crowler jumped as he had forgotten that Jaden and Syrus were still standing there. "DO YOU TWO MIND?!"
"Sorry!" They both said. "See ya later Bastion!" They then both ran off.
"You really shouldn't be associating yourself with those Slackers…" Crowler said. "I think it's time you associate yourself with someone more on you on your level, like me."
Later on, Zeke was sitting in Crowler's next class, waiting while the Head Obelisk was talking to Bastion. He now had a cap which has the logo of Ghost. "The hell is taking Crowler so long?" He muttered to himself.
"What's on your mind buddy?" Gentarou asked him, taking the seat next to him.
"It's about Crowler." Zeke answered quietly, so that no one would think he's talking to himself. "He seemed way too eager to be wanting to talk to Bastion about something."
"Do you know what about?" Cross-Z, who introduced himself as Ryuga Banjo, asked.
"Not really. I went to see what was taking so long to get the ball and saw Crowler talking to Bastion about something while walking him out the field. I didn't think of Crowler as the kinda guy associate with anything lower than an Obelisk."
"It's probably nothing." Shinnosuke waved off, watching as some of his Shift Cars were having fun, chasing each other around. "Probably just some small minded scheme he's tryna set up."
"Maybe…" Zeke sighed as the Riders. The door to the classroom opened,but it wasn't Crowler, instead came in the hot head Chazz. 'Oh great, the loud mouth fake king of games.'
Chazz walked in with pride in his steps and took a seat at the very top. "It's good to be at the top. Yo, foot rub and ice tea, pronto!" He commanded, snapping his fingers.
"Get it yourself!" A random Obelisk said.
"What did you say?!" Chazz snapped at the Obelisk. "Go on, say it again; I don't think I heard you!"
"Chazz, what are you doing?" Another Obelisk asks, walking up to him.
"What does it look like I'm doing?" Chazz asked rhetorically. "I'm sitting in my seat."
"That's not your seat anymore." The Obelisk informed him.
"You idiot. This is my seat, it says so on my name tag right…" When Chazz went to look for it, he saw the name tag was gone. "What the-!"
"I think you'll find your name tag down there." The Obelisk pointed down to a seat where the Ras were sitting. Even in front of where Zeke was sitting.
"Oh dear god why?" Zeke grumbled.
"No way, this has to be some mistake! The next King of Games should not sit with some third rate no names!" It was then Crowler walked in, now sporting on hell of a shiner right now. "Dr Crowler, what's the meaning of this? I don't deserve to sit with the losers!"
"I wouldn't say that Chazz." Crowler said. "After all, it was a loser that beat you….what was his name? Oh yeah, Jaden Yuki, A Slifer!"
'Geez, you're making it sound like he fought a Red Eyes Dragon and was burnt to death.' Zeke thought to himself.
"That's why tomorrow you will duel Bastion Misawa, and if you lose you two will switch dorms."
Chazz gasped in the dilemma he found himself in. "You're saying…I'll be a Ra Reject?!"
"I guess you're not as dumb as you seem Chazz." Crowler smirked, even applauding in amusement.
Chazz growled in embarrassment and ran out the classroom with the class laughing at him. "I WON'T BE A RA!"
"Well that answers that." Chase answered blandly. "All's fair in love and war sadly." Zeke chuckled.
"And Mr Vale!" Crowler shouted, making the Ra snap at attention. "I would like to speak with you after class."
"O-of course sir." Zeke said with uncertainty in his voice. The lesson then began.
Later on, Bastion, Jaden and Syrus were on their way towards the Ra Dorm.
"Okay, so maybe that last one was a foul ball." Jaden admitted, talking about the earlier baseball game.
"Jaden, over the fence normally isn't." Syrus added.
"I play like I duel." Bastion explained. He showed them his baseball bat, which has a big amount of scientific equations on it. "You see I find that statistics, geometry, mathematics, we all use in our daily lives."
"Huh, never thought of it that way." Jaden said.
"Do you have a formula for everything?" Syrus asked.
Bastion merely chuckled in response. "I'll show you."
"Hey guys." The three looked to see Zeke walking up to them.
"Hey Zeke." The three greeted. "Finished with class?" Bastion asked.
"Yep, what you guys up to?"
"We're just gonna head to Bastion's dorm cause he wants to show us something. Wanna join?" Jaden asked.
"Sure, I gotta pick some cards up from my dorm to add to my deck anyway." Zeke shrugged.
So with that the four made their way to the yellow dorm. When they got there, the Slifers admired how good it looked compared to the Slifer dorm. When they got to Bastion's dorm, the three guests let out an 'eh?!' in surprise. The walls and ceiling was covered in math and science equations.
"Well that explains all the scratches I keep hearing." Zeke deadpanned, just as Sento appeared, looking around at all the equations amazed. "Amazing! All these equations are perfectly calculated with pristine thought given to them." He scratched the side of helmet excitedly.
"Sorry about that." Bastion said. "But nonetheless, welcome to my dorm which is also my workshop." He pointed to one of the walls. "Over there is formula for trap cards." He then pointed to the opposite wall. "Over there is for spell cards." Lastly he pointed at the ceiling. "And that one, well you get the idea. In here I've cracked the ability to beat almost every card that's been made. But as you can see, I'm running out of room. So…" He held up a can of paint and a mop. "Mind helping?"
"Sure." And so the four students set out to cleaning, only three of them taking it seriously. Jaden was just having fun.
"Check me out, I'm like Michelangelo." He laughed as he painted the ceiling. "Get it? Because I'm painting on the ceilinnnnng!" Jaden started to lose his balance and drop the paintbrush he was using on Syrus' face.
"You do realise Jaden, this means war." He mocked angrily.
"Look Sy, it was an accident." But Syrus wasn't listening. He picked up a paint can and was ready to throw it.
"That's enough you two." Bastion tried to stop the two. "Now give me the paint." And he was given the paint, just not the way he wanted it. Syrus chucked the paint at Jaden, who dodged and it hit Bastion. Jaden burst into laughter. "Oh funny now is it?"
It was then all hell broke loose. Paint was flung left to right with laughs of joy filling the room….well except. "Hey watch the cap! This was custom made!"
(Later)
After the ceasefire, Zeke and Bastion treated the two Slifers to a Ra Yellow lunch to say thanks. Bastion chuckled while Zeke just stared at the two's eating habits.
"Are you…guys okay?" Zeke asked.
"I don't think I ever had anything so good before!" Jaden said with a mouthful of food, stuffing more fish in his gob. "Bastion, Zeke, you guys are alright."
"Yeah!" Syrus agreed. "And so is this food!"
"Oh you flatter us." Bastion said, just as a big plate of lobster was brought in. "But I'm sure it's not that much better than the Slifer food."
"Trust us, the closest thing we have to lobster is Banner's cat's fish breath." Jaden said.
"By the way Bastion, what were you and Crowler talking about back at the field?" Syrus asked.
"Actually, he wants to offer me a spot as an Obelisk." Bastion replied.
"Really?!" Syrus and Jaden asked.
"Yeah, heard it myself in class today." Zeke added. "Chazz is even gonna be his opponent."
"Is that why you were cleaning your room today, because you're switching dorms?" Jaden smiled. "Well congrats Bastion, you earned it."
"Again, you flatter me." Bastion said, enduring the praise.
"But you deserve it bro!" Jaden playfully punched his shoulder. "I saw you at the entrance exam, you gonna crush it."
"Well he's not the only one." Zeke spoke up, pointing to himself with his thumbs. "Guess who?"
"Really?!" All three gasped.
"Mm hmm. Crowler's giving me the test to, as a way to say sorry for what happened during the Expulsion Duel."
(Flashback)
"Can I help Dr Crowler?" Zeke said, standing in front of Crowler's desk.
"Look." Crowler sighed uncomfortably. "I know that you and I aren't on…the best of terms in the slightest."
"Putting it a little lightly." Masato muttered dryly. All the Riders taking seats in the classroom.
"But as a teacher, I want to look out for my students. I have to be concerned about them, even if I've been a bit of a hard head when it comes to my Obelisks."
Zeke nodded.
"That's why I…..want to say I'm s-ssssss-sss-s-s-sorry…" He really seemed to struggle saying it. Sighing, the head Obelisk continued. "I had no intentions of things getting out of hand, I merely wanted a way of getting in your head. I am sincerely sorry." He bowed his head.
Zeke smiled at the kind actions. "Well, thank you Dr Crowler. I hope we can start anew."
"Good, and I know just the way we can."
"Huh? What do you mean?"
"Ahem. Zeke Vale, I would like to offer you a place as an Obelisk Blue."
"Wait, really?" Zeke asked with hopeful eyes.
"Yes. But to become an Obelisk you must pass an entrance exam which is duelling an Obelisk of our choice. What do you say?"
"I-I'm honoured Dr Crowler. I'll take the test." Zeke said.
"Excellent. Now you best be getting to your next class. I'll have the details sent to you."
(End Flashback)
"That's great man!" Jaden said happily. "You totally deserve it."
"Well the whole colour thing is still stupid, but it's nice to be acknowledged for something." Zeke said with a smirk.
"Good to see Crowler owning up to his mistakes." Syrus added.
"Well then, let's have a toast!" Jaden said, raising his drink, as so did the other three. "To our two new Obelisks!"
"Here-here!" The four friends click their glasses, and then laughed at their stupid actions.
(Meanwhile)
In the Obelisk Blue Boys' Dorm, Chazz sat in his room in front of a big TV. Currently he was talking to his two older brothers, Jagger and Slade.
"Got it Chazz?" Slade asked his brother.
"Yeah."
"We can't hear you." Slade pried.
"I said I get it!" Chazz snapped.
"Well you better understand!" Slade threatened. "The Princeton Group has a plan. And you brother and I have already done our parts."
"And you had better do your part as well." Jagger added. "Just think of it little brother. The worlds of politics, finance and Duel Monster in! If the Princeton family rises to the top of all these things, then we will control the world. The future of our family lies on you."
"Be the best, no matter what!" Slade yelled, and the video feed ended.
'Be the best.' Chazz thought snidely. 'How can I be the best?' He stood up and walked to the window. In the distance he saw Jaden and Syrus walking back to their dorm. 'When there's lucky punks like them out there?' He then saw that Bastion was walking with them. 'Seems that Bastion's heading to the Slifer's Dorm. That means his dorm room is empty!' Chazz snickered at his idea.
Later in the morning, just nearing the rising sun, Chazz snuck up Bastion's dorm. He put his hand on the door knob, only to find the door was locked. He then noticed the desk up against the wall. As soon as Chazz opened it, he saw Bastion's deck and grinned. There's not gonna be a duel, of he doesn't have a deck!" He cackled.
"Bastion? Is that you?" A tired and groggy Zeke, still wearing his uniform and cap, walked out of his dorm room. It was then he noticed Chazz standing there, with Bastion's deck in his hands. Chazz then took off running. "Hey! Get back here!" Zeke quickly grabbed his Duel Disk and ran after Chazz.
The chase lead the two right to the docks. "That's as far as you go blue boy!"
"Good, then that gives me the chance to do this!" Chazz laughed as he threw Bastion's deck into the ocean. "Now I won't have to worry about losing MY SPOT!"
"Chazz what the hell?! You never trash another Duellist's deck!" Zeke shouted.
"I'm a Princeton, there is now line I can't cross!" Chazz then reached for his deck and loaded it into his Duel Disk. "If you wanna make something of it, then let the cards talk."
"Fine then, I'll make something of it!" Zeke loaded his deck into his Duel Disk. "And that'll be beating the ever living crap out of you!"
"The feeling's mutual."
"DUEL!"
Zeke: 4000
Chazz: 4000
"I'm ready to trash you." Chazz growled, drawing his cards.
"What did I do to you?"
"Alexis shouldn't hang around with someone like you!" Chazz remarked. "It's bugged me since the expulsion duels!"
"Well EXCUSE ME if she likes to hang around with nice people instead of stuck ups like you." Zeke retaliated.
"I'm gonna prove you're wrong!" Chazz drew his sixth card. "I play Cost Down! I discard one card so that all my monsters' levels decrease by two. Now I summon Helpoemer in ATK mode!" A blue zombie like monster attached to a slab appeared.

"I place a face down and end my turn." A reverse card appeared in front of Chazz.
"My move then!" Zeke drew his sixth card. "First I summon Kamen Rider Knight in ATK mode!" A silhouette with a V-Buckle, he also held the Knight Advent Deck. "Henshin!" He slid the deck into the V-Buckle, making three projections of his armour form before it solidified, turning him into Knight.

"Now Knight's effect activates, every other monster must switch to DEF mode." Knight took one of the cards from his deck box and put it in his rapier.
NASTY VENT!
A loud shrilling scream made Helpoemer groan, signalling it went to defence mode. "Now I'll have Knight attack Helpoemer!" Knight took another card and slipped it in.
SWORD VENT!
Knight holstered his to his waist as a lance was flung into his hands. He charged and stabbed Helpoemer.
"Lucky move!" Chazz snorted.
"Luck has nothing to do with it. I use actual skill when duelling." Zeke retorted. "Which is something you Obelisks seem to mix up. If someone pulls a good move, you guys whine and say that it's luck. The only people here who deserve to be Blues, are Alexis and Zane. I end my turn with two face downs."
"Yeah, well because the destroyed Helpoemer, we both have to discard a card at the end our turns for as long as he's in the graveyard." Chazz said. "Now it's my turn, I play Monster Reborn to bring back Chthonian Soldier!" Chthonian Soldier appeared on the field.

"And I play my face down, Inferno Reckless Summon! This lets us summon two copies of a monster on our field, and I'm guessing you don't have any copies of your Riders." Two copies of Chthonian Soldier appeared next to the original.

"Now I play Chthonian Alliance! I increase the ATK of one Chthonian Soldier by 800 ATK points for every other monster with the same name!"

"Oh no." Knight gulped.
"Chthonian Soldier, attack Knight!" The powered up soldier slashed Knight across the chest.
Zeke: 4000-1900
"You activated my trap, Rider Call! And with it I summon Kamen Rider Gills in ATK mode!" Another silhouette appears on Zeke's field. "Henshin!" A green light covered the silhouette before it cleared, showing he was now in a black body suit, which looked more like hardened skin. His chest, shoulders, and lower legs are green with accents of gold. He has a silver mouth with an insect motif helmet as well as red eyes and green horns.

Gills let out a gargled roar, seeming to scare the weaker Soldiers. "Fine, I end my turn. Think I don't live up to being an Obelisk now?"
"Not really, this is exactly what I kinda expect from you Chazz." Zeke said, brushing some dust off his jacket.
"Huh?"
"You don't switch strategies, you keep using the same tactic of an all out assault. Your deck has hardly changed since the year started." He frowned. "The only time you ever changed it was when someone gave you all those rare cards, and you still haven't changed tactics. Yet, Jaden still beat you."
"It was a fluke!" Chazz shouted.
"No, it was laziness. Something most of you Obelisks seems to have in common!" Zeke shouted back.
"What's you point?"
"My point is, if you do the same thing over and over again, you'll always be predictable and easy to beat." He drew his card and looked at it. "Now to end this duel."
"What?" Chazz frowned.
"First I summon Kamen Rider Specter in ATK mode!" Another silhouette appeared with the Ghost Driver on his waist. He took out the Specter Eyecon, and dropped in the Driver.
EYE!
The Specter Damashii flew around as the tune from the Driver played.
BATCHIRIMIRO! BATCHIRIMIRO!
"Henshin!" He pulled the lever out and in, putting him in Transient.
KAIGAN! SPECTER!
READY, GO! KAKUGO! DOKI-DOKI GHOST!

"Next I sacrifice Specter to summon Kamen Rider Deep Specter!" Specter took out his Eyecon, and replaced it with a monstrous looking one. He pressed the button, the Eyecon giving a hiss.
(Insert: Dive Deep)
DIVE TOO DEEP! EYE!
What came out was a purple Damashii with fiery additions. Specter's Transient also changed, it was now silver with blue zig zags on the legs to up the chest. His lower legs and arms have bits of purple with bits of silver fire.
GIROTTOMIRO! GIROTTOMIRO!
GEN KAIGAN! DEEP SPECTER!
The Damashii landed on Specter, making a burst of purple fire.
GET GO! KAKUGO! GIZA-GIZA GHOST!
The mask slid up, showing the same devil features. The horns were slightly bigger, with now a fiery design. He pulled the hood.

"Now to play Megamorph! Since my life points are lower, I can double Specter's ATK points!"
Deep Specter (ATK: 2500-5000)
"Next I play Double Attack! With it I discard Kamen Rider Para-DX to let Gills attack twice!" A red and blue aura surrounded Gills. "Lastly, I play my face down, Skill Drain! By paying 1000 life points, all monsters lose their effects!"
Zeke: 1900-900
"You've gotta be kidding me!" Chazz growled.
"Now then, Gills, attack one of the Chthonian Soldiers! Gills Heel Claw!" Gills roared again, as a small claw grew out of his heel. He ran and jumped at one of the weaker Chthonian Soldiers. He drove his heel claw into the Soldier's shoulder and dug it through the Soldier's body, destroying it.
Chazz: 4000-3100
"Now Gills gets to attack again! Attack the other weaker Chthonian Solder with Gills Hell Stab!" Gills roared again. The claw on his heel disappeared, and was replaced with a claw on his wrist. He dug the claw into the Soldier's chest, making it howl before dying.
Chazz: 3100-2200
"This also makes you empowered Solider lose its boost." The Chthonian Soldier groaned, showing it was getting weaker.
Chthonian Solider (ATK: 3600-1200)
"Finally, Deep Specter, attack the last Chthonian Solider! Omega Giri!" Specter took out his Deep Slasher as well as the Deep Specter and Tutankhamun Eyecons. He put the two in the Slasher, and closed the sun glasses down.
MEGA HAGESHI! MEGA HAGESHI!
KYOKUGEN DAI KAIGAN!
Purple fire engulfed the blade of the Deep Slasher. He pulled the trigger and ran to the Soldier.
GIGA OMEGA GIRI!
Specter slashed against the Soldier's stomach before slashing him more and more. With one last slash the Chthonian Soldier exploded, ending the duel.
Chazz: 2200-0000
(End song)
Zeke turned his Duel Disk, watching the holograms disappear. "Game over Chazz. Maybe this duel will knock some sense into you thick head. Let this also be a lesson, don't mess with my friends." Chazz got up and ran away.
"No one will believe you about this Reject!" He shouted back at Zeke. Zeke was about the go after him, but then noticed the two figures watching the whole thing.
In the morning, Jaden, Syrus, and Bastion were woken up by a loud banging on their door. "Jaden! JADEN!"
Jaden got up from bed and walked to the door, opening it to see Ms Dorothy from the Card Shack. "Hmm, what is it Ms Dorothy?"
"I was unloading some new shipments, and that's when I saw it, cards tossed everywhere!"
"Tossed?!" The three boys followed Ms Dorothy to the dock, and gasped when they saw a whole deck sunk in the water.
"That's Ring of Destruction!" Jaden realised.
"And Vorse Raider!" Syrus added.
"Bastion, these are all your cards." Jaden identified.
"It's my own fault." Bastion sighed. "This deck was in the desk we moved out of my room when we were painting."
"Who would do such a thing?" Syrus asked.
"Someone who doesn't want Bastion getting up to Obelisk Blue." Jaden deducted. "And I think I know who did it."
"Chazz!" Syrus realised.
"What are you gonna do Bastion?" Jaden asked. "The duel is in less than an hour."
"Not to worry." Bastion crouched down and picked up one of the cards. "I have a solution to this minor problem."
Jaden, Syrus and Bastion soon arrived at the Duel Arena. Miss Fountain, Dr Crowler, Chazz and even Jean stood there waiting.
"Ah Bastion, you've arrived." Crowler said, before frowning at the two Slifers. "And you brought friends to watch."
"Hey guys." Jean waved.
"I can't believe you Chazz!" Jaden narrowed his eyes at the Obelisk. "I thought you were low, but to go this low? You would throw someone's deck into the ocean before a duel just to get the upper hand?"
"What?!" Jean shouted.
"Excuse me?!" Miss Fountain asked in shock.
"Pardon?!" Crowler exclaimed.
"I don't know what they're talking about." Chazz defended. "I didn't do anything."
"Oh is that so?" Everyone looked to one of the entrances to see Zane, Alexis and Zeke walk in. "I saw you at the docks after Zeke chased you Chazz. You dumped those cards in the water like they were nothing!" Alexis said. "I normally don't snitch, but if there's one thing you don't do it's messing with someone's deck!"
"That's low Chazz, even for you." Jaden said.
"Oh come on! How do you know I wasn't throwing away some cards I didn't want?" Chazz said, still lying. "I guess Bastion and I have similar decks."
"Lies!" Zeke shouted. "I saw you laugh as you chucked them away right before I beat you in a duel."
"It's true." Zane spoke up. "Alexis and I saw the whole thing happen."
"Hey! Nobody calls Chazz Princeton a lair, a cheater, and nobody, absolutely nobody calls me a thief!" Chazz snapped. "It's not my fault Bastion can't look after his own deck!"
Even though the teachers, and everyone else believed what happened, there was no clear evidence that it was true.
"Fine, we're not calling you a lair, cheat or thief." Bastion said, walking onto the arena. "Let's begin then."
"Huh, but you don't have a deck Bastion, don't you?" Jaden asked.
"Oh is that so?" Bastion smiled wildly.
Zeke seemed to get what he was getting at. "You all didn't think all those scribbles were for one set of cards did ya?"
"Couldn't have put it better." Bastion smirked, and he began to unbutton his blazer. "You see, those formulas weren't for a single deck." He then ripped the coat open, showing six other decks on his vest. "They were for all my decks! One for each attribute in Duel Monsters!"
Chazz growled at this, his plan was ruined now. "Grr, fine! Keep your six crummy decks, all I need is one!"
Bastion activated his Duel Disk and loaded his deck. "You're just a theorem to be solved Chazz, a code to be cracked. You're finished!"
"Bring it you worthless reject!"
"DUEL!"

"Get ready, because he comes the hurt! I summon Chthonian Soldier!" The same dark armoured man appeared.

"And it seems Chazz is using the exact same tactic when we duelled." Zeke sighed.
"I summon Hydrogeddon in ATK mode!" Bastion declared. A geyser of muddy water spurt from the ground to become a dinosaur made of muddy water.

"I activate a special ability also!" Bastion said. "You see Chazz, when Hydrogeddon successfully destroys a monster in battle, I can summon another Hydrogeddon to the field!" Another geyser of muddy water showed a new Hydrogeddon appeared.

"I play Chthonian Alliance! The monster this card is equipped with gains 800 ATK points for every monster that shares its name." One of the Chthonian Soldiers grew thrice its size. "That brings its ATK points to….you're math nerd you figure it out."

"3600…" Syrus groaned.
"Seen it." Zeke said dryly. "Hey Chazz, try being creative!"
"Shut it Rider Reject! Chthonian Soldier attack Hydrogeddon! Wind Storm Slash!" The giant Chthonian Solider swung its huge sword at the middle Hydrogeddon, Bastion grunting in pain from the shockwave.

"Oh no! Bastion's life points are less than half!" Syrus panicked. "He's losing the duel!"
"Relax Sy, Bastion's got this." Jaden waved off. "There's no way he'll lose."
"Bravo, good show." Bastion drew his next card, not caring about the loss of life points. "But it will be short lived. Rise Oxygeddon!" Pteranodon made of green gases appeared from a geyser of oxygen.

"My turn's not over. Hydrogeddon attack the other Chthonian Soldier!" One of the Hydrogeddons blasted muddy water at the soldier.

"Oh man, why does Bastion keep attacking those soldiers? He's hurting himself more than Chazz." Syrus asked.
"He's fine." Zeke assured Syrus.
"And he's playing smart too." Zane said. "The Chthonian Solider with the equip spell has 3600 ATK points. Bastion would have to summon a powerful monster to beat it, unless…" The large Chthonian Soldier began to shrink down.

"Wait, I see! He had to take out the other soldiers to beat the stronger one!" Syrus wondered.
"Right, so if Bastion want to win this, then he'll have to sacrifice some life points." Jean said.
"Last, I'll place a card face down." Bastion ended his turn. "That'll do for now."
"Will it, I wouldn't be so sure Whiz Kid!" Chazz taunted. "I sacrifice my Chthonian Soldier, as well as the cards in my hand, to summon the Infernal Incinerator! Bet you didn't see that coming!" He started to laugh as fire swallowed his soldier.
"Infernal Incinerator?!" Bastion gasped. The fires exploded, covering the field in smoke and from it; a giant salamander with a Chthonian Soldier for a head appeared.

"Better break out you calculator because if you can think of a way to beat this guy, then you're through!" Chazz shouted. "Especially since he gains 200 ATK points for each monster on the field!"

"That thing's got 3400 ATK point?!" Syrus gawked. "No matter which monster gets hit, Bastion's through!"
"Infernal Incinerator, attack with Firestorm Blast!" The monster opened its mouth, firing a torrent of flames at Oxygeddon.
"I activate my trap!" Bastion announced. "Amorphic Barrier!" A wall of ice blocked the attack, saving the monster. "If I have three or more monsters on the field, this trap stops my opponent's attack and ends the battle phase. Nice try though Chazz."
"That was close." Jean sighed.
"So what?" Chazz asked, not caring ever so slightly. "One turn, that's all it buys for you and then you'll be all mine!"
"I'm afraid there won't be a next turn." Bastion declared, drawing his card.
"What?"
"You heard me I activate the spell Bonding H20! I sacrifice two Hydrogeddons and one Oxygeddon…." The three monsters swirled together. "…and summon Water Dragon!" The three formed into a serpent dragon, made of pure water.

"Doesn't matter! My monster's ATK is still higher than yours." Chazz smirked.
"Better double check you work." Bastion warned. "Because I already did the math!"
"All the math?" Crowler asked. "Does that mean?"
Jaden confirmed Crowler's suspicion. "Bastion had this planned from the start!"
"Told ya Bastion had this." Zeke said. The Water Dragon caused a huge flood that washed over Infernal Incinerator, taking away its power.
Infernal Incinerator (ATK: 3000-0000)
"No! It's ATK points!" Chazz panicked.
"Indeed, that's Water Dragon's special ability. You see when it's on the field the ATK points of all fire attribute and pyro type monsters become 0. Now attack with Tidal Blast!" The dragon fired a high pressured water blast at Infernal Incinerator, which then hit Chazz, knocking him off the arena.

"A well-played duel Chazz." Bastion said, deactivating his Duel Disk. "But not well enough."
"Pure luck." Chazz retorted. "You drew a lucky card and stumbled into the win."
"Again with the luck." Zeke face palmed.
"Maybe it was luck." Bastion waved off. "Luck favours the prepared. And I was prepared to defeat you with half a dozen other cards as well. Just as I was prepared for you to sabotage my deck."
"Oh yeah? Prove it!"
"Fine, if you insist. The moment I learned you were gonna be my opponent; I was prepared to face your underhand tactics. So before I left last night I made sure to keep all my best cards on me and left the cards I could afford to lose in my desk."
"Not the mention I saw you take them, and throw them into the ocean." Zeke said. "That, and I enjoyed beating you."
"Also," Bastion reached into his coat, bringing out a wet Vorse Raider card. On it were more mathematical equations. "I can prove that this is my deck you threw in the ocean by the formulas writing on it. I suppose you could've wrote it but then the math would've been wrong, but it's not. Chazz, you lied, you cheated, and you stole. You deserve to be demoted."
"THIS CAN'T BE HAPPENING TO ME!" Chazz yelled.
"Mr Princeton that's enough!" Ms Fountain was bringing to hammer down on this boy. "You lost. It happens from time to time in duels and despite what you think it can happen to you too."
"Chazz, I must say I'm disappointed." Crowler spoke up, an unhappy look on his face. "Normally I would have you investigated for cheating, but with the evidence presented, I need not to. Maybe working up from Ra Yellow will show you some decency." Chazz stayed silent as Crowler and Fountain turned to Bastion. "Bastion Misawa, welcome to Obelisk Blue."
"Thank you, Dr Crowler, Ms Fountain, but I must decline." Bastion politely said.
"Oh? Why's that?" Ms Fountain asked.
"When I first arrived at the academy, I made a promise to make it to Obelisk Blue by becoming the number one student in the freshman year." Bastion then turned to his friends. "So far, that number one can go three ways. Between me, Jaden and Zeke."
"Hey thanks, does that mean you wanna settle this right here right now?" Jaden asked hopefully. "I mean seeing that duel's gotten me fired up!"
"Sorry, but not now."
"Why not?"
"Because I have lots of work to do. Many formulas to write, theorems to solve, and equations to bounce. You're a good duellist, and I want to be ready." Bastion explained. "Soon my dorm will be covered with new problems to solve and we will have our duel. But until then…" He looked at Zeke. "Let's cheer on Zeke in his duel."
"Zeke's being tested too?" Alexis asked.
"Why yes, I decided as a way to make up for what I did was the offer Zeke a place in Obelisk Blue." Crowler explained. "So Mr Vale, shall we?" Zeke nodded and took his place on the arena. "Ms Anderson, if you could take you place please." Jean stretched her arms with a wicked grin as she walked on.
"So it's another rematch huh Jean?" Zeke smiled, loading his deck in his Duel Disk.
"Yep. But fair warning, I'm going all out this time. I'm bringing in the big guns!" She slammed her deck into her Duel Disk.
"DUEL!"

"I'll start things off." Jean drew her sixth card. "First I play the field spell Tír Na nÓg!" Fog filled the arena, and a floating castle appeared overhead. "Next I summon Titan Dullahan in ATK mode!" A flash of red revealed a headless knight in black and gold armour. He wore a cape and held a chained mace as well as a shield with a face on it. And replacing his head was a red eyeball.

"My move then." Zeke drew his card. "I'll start with summoning Kamen Rider W, in ATK mode!" The two silhouettes appeared on Zeke's field. They took out their Gaia Memories and pressed the buttons.

"Henshin!" They right silhouette disappeared as the Cyclone Memory appeared in the left's Driver. He inserted the Joker Memory and split the Driver.

The armour formed around W. He flicked his wrist and pointed Jean's monsters. "Now…count up your sins."

"Next I play W Coin! I flip a coin and it lets me summon a W Form for whatever side." A coin appeared and flipped itself. It spun around for a bit before landing on the side with a red and silver W. "Now I can summon Kamen Rider W Heat Metal!" W removed the two memories in his Driver, and replaced them with a red and silver memory.

He placed the memories in the Driver and split it apart.

The black was now replaced with silver while the green was replaced with red. And in his hands is a silver staff.

"Now I'll have W attack Dullahan! Metal Branding!" W took the Metal Memory from his Driver and placed it in the Metal Shaft.

Both sides of the shaft lit ablaze. "Metal Branding!" He charged at Dullahan, who raised his shield in defence. The shield stood no chance as W ripped through it.

"I'll set a card face down and end my turn." W jumped back to Zeke's side. "Come Jean, I thought you were bringing the big guns?"
Jean only smirked. "Oh I am." One of the statues on Tír Na nÓg started to crack, and Dullahan soon jumped from the castle back to the field. This left most of the audience confused.
"Wait, how'd he come back?" Syrus asked.
"It's simple Syrus. As long as Tír Na nÓg is on the field, I can summon Dullahan and Firbolg from my graveyard if they were destroyed. That's the castle's magic." She explained. "Now Firbolg, attack W!" The giant stomped over towards.
"I play W's Fire effect! This boosts his ATK and DEF by 400."
W Heat Metal (ATK: 2100-2500) (DEF: 2200-2600)
"Well then I'll just play my face down, Poison Fang!" Green acid splattered against W, making him weaker.

Firbolg clapped both his hands onto W, flattening the Rider.

"Now Dullahan attacks you directly!" Dullahan swung his mace and ran at Zeke.
"I play my face down, Negate Attack!" A swirly vortex block Dullahan's mace. "This ends your battle phase!" Dullahan jumped back to Jean's field.
"Alright then, I'll end my turn." Dullahan swung his mace tauntingly while Firbolg slammed his massive fists together.
"My turn." Zeke drew his card. "I play Double Summon! With this I summon Kamen Riders Grease and Brave!" Two silhouettes appeared on Zeke's field. One had a Gamer Driver and the other had a blue Driver with a yellow handle and an empty tube. The first silhouette takes out a blue Gashat called Taddle Quest.
TADDLE QUEST!
"Skill level two, Henshin." He inserted the Gashat and pulled the handle open. A selection screen of floated around him before he pressed the one to his left.

GACHAN! LEVEL UP!

The silhouette was now in the same black body suit as the other gamer Riders, this time having blue lining going up his legs and chest. His shoulder pads and helmet are blue and looks like knight armour. His sleeves are white, and on his left forearm is a blue shield.

Appearing in his hand is a blue handled sword with a big orange A button and a big blue B button. The blade looking to be made of fiery plastic.
The other silhouette took out a little gold pouch object with a robot on it. He twists the knob on the top before chucking it up, and shoving it into the Sclash Driver.
ROBOT JELLY!
The Driver let a mechanical pulsing sounds. He raised his hand to his head, and then pointed at the Titans. "Henshin!" He pulled the yellow lever down, making tube fill with brown liquid.
TSUBURERU! NAGARERU!
A beaker surrounded the silhouette, and was soon filled with the same brown liquid.
AFUREDERU!
The beaker exploded, showing the silhouette was in gold body suit with black legs and arms. He has a white head with red eyes. The white head then spurts out greasy oil, which solidifies into brown armour atop the helmet and shoulders.

"I'll crush you with the fire burning in my heart!"

"And though it may not help, Brave will attack Dullahan!" Brave readied his sword and charged at Dullahan, slashing him on the chest.

"Next I'll set a card face down, and thanks to Grease's effect, I can play it now, that card being, Jar of Greed! Letting me draw one card. Next I Mystical Space Typhoon! Destroying your castle!" A massive hurricane picked up, destroying Tír Na nÓg. "Now you can't bring back Dullahan or Firbolg. Next I'll play the spell Rider Multi World!"
The two duellists were then surrounded by multiple planet earths. "I chose to take us to the world of Ex-Aid!" They zoomed to one of the worlds, and they were now in front of the Seito University Hospital. "The special effect of this world allows me to gain fifty life points for each card in my hand."

"It's not much, but every little helps. I set two cards face down and end my turn." Brave and Grease got into combat stances.
"My move then." Jean drew her card, and got a mischievous smirk. "And now for the main event! I play the spell Tribute of Spirit! In three turns, if I have three monsters on the field, I can summon something legendary. But now I summon Titan Thornment in ATK mode!" On Jean's field now dark grey skinned mummy wearing bandages on her forearms, lower legs and torso. She wears pharaoh like clothing, and a gold mask.

"Now I play her effect, allowing me to target a monster on your side of the field and it can't attack as long as she's on the field. So I target Brave!" Thornment threw her hands forward, sending thorny vines at Brave. They wrapped around him, leaving him useless. "Now Firbolg will attack Grease!" Firbolg stomped over towards Grease and prepared to step on him.
"I play one of my traps, Rider Life Saver! By discarding a card, the damage is reduced to Zero." Zeke discarded one of his cards, Grease was covered in an aura as he was destroyed. "This also activates my other trap, Rider Signal! Letting me summon Kamen Rider Chalice in ATK mode!" Another silhouette appeared, holding one of the Rouze Cards in his hands. Black static appeared around his waist before clearing to show a silver belt with a red heart in the middle.
"Henshin!" He slipped the card through his belt.
CHANGE!
The silhouette was covered in black static, obscuring his every detail. When it cleared, it showed the armour was completely black and gold with silver on his arms and legs. His helmet looked like a mantis, with two antennas coming out and a hearth shaped visor.

"My turn, first I use Chalice's effect to deal 500 points of damage for every card in your hand!" Chalice reached behind his back, bringing out a bladed bow. He then unbuckled the buckle on his belt and attached it to his bow. He then reached for a small black deck box attached to his waist and pulled out one of the Rouze cards and scanned it.
TORNADO!
He pulled back an invisible string, and shot an arrow of air at Jean.

"Next I play Brave's effect, I target one monster and it loses 100 ATK points for each card in my hand, sadly I have one." Brave struggled to move, and pointed his sword at Firbolg. He shot a blast of fire, weakening the giant.

"Finally I play The Dark Door! This means only one monster can attack per turn. I'll end my turn." Zeke side. 'She wasn't kidding, she really is bringing the big guns.'
"My move then. I'll start with summoning Kilthane in ATK mode!" Appearing on Jean's field is a black armoured knight with spider like legs on his back. His helmet has two horns and he has yellow eyes. In his hands is a curved blade and a large shield.

"Now I'll play Blade Wave! This can be equipped to a Dark Attribute and boosts their power by 1000!" Kilthane's blade was covered in a dark aura.

"Now Kilthane, attack Chalice!" Kilthane charged to Chalice, slashing him across the chest. "And now Kilthane's effect, whenever he destroys a monster you discard a card." Zeke growled as he discarded a card.

"Next I play Bolt Flare! This lets me deal 200 points of damage for every monster on the field." An orb of orange electric energy collected itself in Jean's hand and she blasted it at Zeke.

"I end my turn with a face down." The Tribute of Spirit card started to glow, collecting energy. "Three turns are up, and on my next turn I can summon one of my strongest Titans." Jean said menacingly.
"Is she normally like this?" Syrus asked, looking kinda scared at the Titan Duellist.
"She's just getting into her wild side." Alexis answered. "Jean's a bit of a Wild Card when it comes to duels."
"I'll say! I wouldn't mind having a duel against her and Titans, they're pretty sweet!" Jaden complimented.
"My move, first I summon Amazon Rider Omega!" A silhouette appeared with the Amazon Driver on his waist. He turned the left handle, making the eyes light up red.
OMEGA!
"AMAZON!" The explosion of green fire and steam surrounded him.

Omega cut his way through the steam, growling at the Titans.

Omega rushed to Thornment and drop kicked her. "I play my trap, Armor Brand! This lets my Titan live but now we both take damage." Omega's attack impacted, sending shockwaves to both sides.

"Alright then, I end my turn." Zeke sighed. The three Titans began to glow before turning into their coloured light, Firbolg turning green, Kilthane turning red and Thornment turning yellow.
"Now that it's been three turns, I can sacrifice my three Titans to Tribute of Spirit in order to summon, Legendary Titan of Spirit Tao!" The three light flew together, making a bright blue flash. Ghastly fog then filled the arena, and an arm burst out pulling up a regal looking spirit. He has blue, liquid-like skin with bits of slime leaking out. He has green stuck up hair, being held with a small crown with a gem in the middle, that same gem being in the middle of his belt around his gown.

"That thing's bigger than Metagolem!" Zeke panicked. Jaden and Bastion looked awed at the Titan, Syrus looked a little scared of how ghostly it was, Zane looked now different than how he normally looks, and Alexis just smiled.
"Tao's special effect allows me to return one card from my graveyard to my deck to let me draw two more cards." Tao's eye glowed as Jean removed a card from her graveyard and put it at the bottom of her deck, then drawing two more cards. "Next I play Dragon Fists!"
Tao (ATK: 2700-3200)
"Now I'll have Tao attack Omega, Spiritual Blaster!" Tao pointed his hands at Brave, who was now free from the vines, and fired a ghostly laser.
"I play the effect of Sasword from my hand, cutting your ATK in half!"
CLOCK UP!
A purple blur zoomed to Tao. The blur headed to the laser, and cut it in two, making it weaker.

"It's still enough to beat Omega!" The laser cut through Omega.
Zeke: 850-450
"Next I play Dark Void! At the cost of half my life points I can destroy a monster on the field and you take damage equal to their level." A dark abyss opened beneath Brave, which then swallowed him whole. The Seito University Hospital also disappeared.

"Lastly I play Break Spell! This lets me destroy a spell or trap card that targets one of my Titans, so I destroy Dragon Fist."
Tao (ATK: 3200-2700)
"I end my turn."
"Why'd she get rid of her power up?" Syrus asked.
"Dragon Fist may Give Jean's Titans a 500 ATK boost, but at the end of her turn the equipped monster must be switched to DEF mode if it attacked." Zane explained. "By destroying it, Jean saved time with not having to switch it back to ATK every turn."
"This seems bad, Zeke's got nothing on his field while Jean has one of her strongest monsters." Alexis grimaced.
"It's not a problem, Zeke's got this." Jaden encouraged. "I know it."
Zeke looked at the giant ghastly Titan before him gazing down at his deck. 'Come on guys, we can't fail now of all times. If we win this, this'll be the step up we need.' He drew his next card, and smiled. "I summon Kamen Rider Necrom in ATK mode!" Another silhouette appeared, and instead of a waist Driver, his was on his arm. It was black and looked like an eye dropper. He took out a black and green Eyecon, pressing the button, the eye lit up.
STANDBY!
He put it in the Mega Ulorder, and twisted it so it was up right and pressed the button on the side.
YES SIR!

The Mage Ulorder let out dub step like music as a black and green Damashii flew around. "Henshin." He hit the button atop the Ulorder, making a drip noise.
TENGAN! NECROM! MEGA ULORD!
The silhouette was transformed into his Transient suit, this one looking different than Ghost and Specter's. The suit is mostly white with some bits of green on the chest, he has black boots and gloves, and his faceplate is a silver eyeball. The Damashii floated around a bit before planting itself on the silhouette, the faceplate now having a circular green visor with a single horn on it.

"Now Rider Multi World's effect takes us to the world of Ghost." The duellists then found themselves in front of the Daitenku Temple. "Next I'll sacrifice Necrom to summon his final form, Kamen Rider Necrom Yujou Burst!" Necrom removed his base form Eyecon, and replaced it with golden fiery Eyecon.

The dubstep music played as a black and gold fiery Damashii flew around. He pressed the button again, making a gold fiery aura surround him before his Transient changed. His chest was now gold as were some parts on the legs and arms.
YUJOU TENGAN! BURST! MEGA ULORD!
ORE GA BURST! YUJOU BURST! TOMETE MISERU ZE! OMAE NO TSUMI O!

The Damashii planted itself on Necrom's shoulders. The visor looked the same shape, but was now red with a gold fiery outline.

"Next I set a card face down, nd with Bait Doll I can activate it now! Call of the Haunted! Bringing back Kamen Rider Specter!" Another portal opened as Specter jumped. "I should say thanks for letting me discard these two. Since these two are on the field with Necrom Yujou Burst his ATK points are doubled!" The gold flames on Necrom started to burn brighter.
Necrom Yujou Burst (ATK: 2800-5600)
"Oh no…" Jean sweat dropped.
"Oh yeah, he won!" Jaden and Syrus cheered.
"Necrom, attack Tao! Show him some real spirit!" Necrom set the Mega Ulorder to its standby mode and pressed the button atop.
DESTROY! YUJOU DAI TENGAN! BURST OMEGA ULORD!
Necrom's body engulfed in gold flames as he charged at Tao. He jumped up and sent a kick into Tao's chest, making the Titan groan before it exploded. "And that is game!"

The Duel Disks deactivated, the holograms disappeared, and Zeke stood there panting heavily. "I did it?" He took off his cap and wiped the sweat off his brow.
There were sound of cheering, clapping and whistling as Zeke turned back to his friends, all of them showing some kind of congratulations.
"Nice going Zeke!" Jaden cheered.
"Way to play!" Syrus said.
"Good show good show." Bastion applauded.
Zane only crossed his arms, but the smirk on his lips showed he was impressed.
"Nice going buddy!" Jean swung her arm around Zeke's neck, giving him a tight hug.
"Jean…..please….need air…." Zeke struggle to gasp. She rubbed his head with her knuckled before letting him go.
"That was most impressive Mr Vale." Ms Fountain complimented. "It certainly proves that you deserve to be promoted. Welcome to Obelisk Blue."
"Yes congratulations. I think it's safe to say you entry has been well earned." Crowler praised.
"Th-thanks." Zeke was still coming over the shock of him wining.
"Yeah, you definitely earned this." Jean patted his shoulder.
"That's for sure." Alexis said, walking up to him. "Congrats."
"Uh thanks Lex…Da-I mean Lexi I MEAN…..*Incoherent babbling*
"Lex is fine, you've earned it." Alexis smiled. "Now let's get you fitted for a blazer."
"Sure." So it was settled, the group of friends plus the two teachers left the arena to celebrate. All but one….Chazz. Things went downhill for him, as he was still seething from the defeat from Bastion. What was worse was Zeke was getting closer to Alexis.
"First I get demoted, then that Rider Reject gets promoted AND gets closer to Alexis. Well fine!" Chazz snarled, getting up to his feet. "If Duel Academy won't accept my talents and skills, then I'll go somewhere else! This crummy cut rate school won't respect me, fine! I'm outta here then!" With that, he stormed off.
A/N: Holy hell this took me a good while.
And yes, I did change the Yujou Burst Henshin sound. But only because it's being used in the Mega Ulorder, so it should have the Mega Ulorder noises.
