OMG Guys! I'm sosososososososo sorryyyyy! My computer was getting fixed so I had to wait. I don't own Ghost Hunt and if I did, I feel Mai would have ran Naru and Masako over… With a Train… A million times… Anyways… On with the Show!
Chapter 10: Mai's P.O.V (From now on, if its not specified, it Mai, Kay?)
Opening my eyes, I came face to face with none other than the twin who got all the nice DNA; Gene. "Geneeee!" I yelled and practically tackled him. "Mai! I've been calling you for hours! Something's trying to block our connection!" He said in a worried tone. "What'll we do? I need you to survive your idiotic twin!" I whined to him.
He gave me a sympathetic smile and patted me on the head. All of a sudden, looking at gene was like looking at a static TV screen. It was really hard to focus. "Gene? Gene! GENEEE!" I yelled but all he kept mouthing was my name.
He completely disappeared and was replaced with the lady from my last dream. She just stared at me until I froze again. 'Crap, why cant I move again?! What does she do that makes me freeze!' I thought to myself. Her Freddy Krueger cat claws came out once again, and started to scratch at me.
This time, I was able to move and I dodged most of her attacks. Heh, I've gotten better at fighting. She got me a few times, only one major stab to a nerve in my neck. I hissed in pain, and fell to my knees. "That's right you foolish Child, bow down to me." The woman said to me, smiling evilly.
"Look Bitch, just let me go back to the real world, I have places to go, people to see, that whole idea." I said in an icy tone, holding the wound on my neck with one hand and pointing to her with the other. "You dare talk to me like that! I will show you, you puny girl!" She yelled as she ran towards me.
Using the blood from my wound, I drew a symbol on my free hand and smacked her in the back of the head, causing her to hiss in pain. She faded away as fire surrounded her. "To hell she goes.." I said.
I jumped up awake and hissed in pain, grabbing my neck. The others looked at me before snapping out of their little trances. "MAI!" They all yelled. I glared at them and said, "Do you mind? Concussed person here with a major wound here?! Ayako, do me a favor and get me a band-aid." I said. "Oh my gosh, Mai! What happened?" People where yelling at different times, in different ways.
"Guys, chill. I just need a band-aid. Nothing Major." "If its okay with you Mai id like to take a look at it." Ayako said to me. "Fineee." I said to her, as she changed into doctor mode. "Mai! This is really deep!" "Yeah, it'll just tale a little more energy to heal, so I'm good." I told her.
"Idiot" Naru spoke, "We need to finish this case, so hurry up." He said. "I agree, lets go!" I yelled as Ayako put the band-aid on. "Whoa, I slept all night?" I said while looking at the early morning sky. "No Mai, you've been asleep for 3 days." Monk said. "What! I want to finish this, now. Yasu, what information do you have?" I asked, looking from him, to his thin packet of notes.
"Okay! Well the Suzimoka Family bought this land in the 1700's. It was just Mr. Suzimoka and his wife, Aya Suzimoka. Aya died two years after buying the land from an unknown cause, and the husband died shortly after. They think it was a murder set up as a suicide, but no one really knows. No one has really bought the land after that, but whoever did, dies shortly after. In the 1930's, this house was built, and no one really lived in it. A few people here and there, but nothing out of the ordinary happened. The 1950's hit and the barrier was put up, so no one has been in since. The End" He said.
"Okay, that's easy enough." I said. "Then tell me Mai, what happened." Naru said, planting a smirk on his face. "Naru, that's your job, not mine." I told him. "Mai, you work for me, and I'm the boss, so you listen to me." "Actually, if I remember, I said I would help, I'm not technically working for you yet." I told him. His face started to show emotion, but it wasn't the happy kind. "Mai, if you will not do as I say, I will not let you help, now either listen to me! Or. Leave." He said.
That's is. "Fine! Ill leave! Its not like I wanted to work for you anyways you narcissistic, tea addict jerk!" Yelled and walked out of the base tent. From there, I walked over to my tent, grabbed my stuff and left a note telling Ayako she could keep the tent for future usage. I began walking towards the house until Monk stopped me. "Mai, where are you going?" He asked me.
"I'm doing my own investigation, since I already know how to end this." I told him. "Oh really, Id like to see that." A voice said from behind him. "Oh yeah?! Watch this Mr. Davis!" I yelled at him. I stepped into the barrier, dropped my stuff, walked over to one of the sticks, and pulled it out of the ground. All of a sudden, the barrier disappeared.
"See! Was that so hard to figure out?" I screamed. They all just starred at me, wide eyed. "I told you, a lot has changed. Case Closed." I said, whispering the last part. "I-I thought they said only people of pure hatred could enter the barrier though.." Yasu whispered. "No Shit Sherlock, did Watson help you out with that one?" I said.
"Mai, mind explaining to me what you just did?" Naru said. "Well, if you must know Shibuya-san, read the letter." I said. "Now can we go home?" I asked. Looking around, I saw several nods. We packed up, and I climbed in the Van and waited for Naru and Lin to get in. As we drove away, Naru asked me, "Can we call the others so they can know what's in the letter?" "Sure." I said with a nod.
"Okay Guys, ready to hear the letter?" Naru said
"Yup." Said an un-enthusiastic Monk.
"Dear Naru, and the Gang." He began. "I've written this letter to you to describe what's going to happen in this case. In the Suzimoka Family, the wife, Aya, was a witch. One day, she came home to see her husband in bed with another person. Her Husband was a man of pureness, and he always told her to do what's right, so she killed herself using a spell to make herself a demon, and tied herself to the land and, she went for a long rest. But being tied to the land meant feeling someone enter the land. She woke up every time someone entered her land. Soooo.. She killed them. Someone eventually built a new house and she finally had enough of it. She killed the man and twenty long years later, she finished the barrier, so only people like her could enter. Now your probably wondering how I was able to enter the barrier, right? Well, no one ever talked to me after Shibuya-san left. Eventually, I was filled with hatred and anger, yada yada yada.. That sums it up, right? Okay then, until the next case! From, Mai." He ended
"Happy now, Shibuya-san?" I asked him in the coldest voice that even could make penguins shiver.
"Mai, how did you do that?" Everyone started asking.
"Yes Mai, how did you write this, considering it's dated back to just after I left."
"Magic" I said, making my hands make a rainbow shape.
