Oliver heard the sickening sound of metal meeting flesh and he knew. He ran towards the origin of the sound and saw the sword tearing through her gut. Her blonde ponytail swayed with the force as the sword was mercilessly taken out. Oliver did not breathe and for a whole few seconds he could not even move a muscle. When he could, he could feel the tears trickling down and that's when he ran towards her screaming her name like a prayer. He did not care that everyone around him lowered their swords as the sword laden with her blood was placed at his throat.
He could not see anything except her. She was spurting out blood and her peach blouse was now red. He kneeled beside her and placed his hand on the wound.
"Felicity, talk to me. You are going to be okay, I won't let anything happen to you."
Oliver picked her up in his arms and stood up but immediately faltered due to a sword cutting through his right thigh. Even after that, he got up once again but that same sword now cut through his left one. He kneeled with Felicity in his arms and looked at his friends and sister, forming a circle around him with each of them held with a sword to their throat. He found the man he was searching for and carried Felicity all the way towards him on his knees.
"Please, save her. I will do anything you want, anything. Just let me save her. Please. I will become the next Demon's head."
Ra's turned away. He just turned way. Oliver looked at Felicity, still alive but barely breathing. Her bright blue eyes seemed dull as they shed silent tears. She raised her hand and Oliver immediately took it in his. She spoke in barely a whisper between ragged breaths and Oliver brought his head closer to hers.
"Don't…beg…."
"Felicity, I will save you. I definitely will save you."
His tears now seemed to flow on their own as they tricked down on her hair. She weakly tried wiping them.
"Oliver…not…your…fault…have…always…loved…y—"
And that's when Oliver felt the feeble body on his lap take a last breath. He heard a cry from his sister and Laurel, but they seemed too far off right then. He did not tell her he loved her. He didn't even get a chance to love her. Oliver frantically put his hand on her face and patted it repeatedly.
"Felicity, Felicity, Felicity! Wake up, wake up. I love you too. I need you. Did you hear me? Please, just hear me again. Please…Felicity!"
Her name came out as the most desperate prayer he could imagine. He looked towards his best friend who seemed to have turned into stone at the place he kneeled. Oliver crawled towards Digg and laid Felicity down in front of him.
"Digg, do something. You know how to fix this, right? She will be okay, right? Say something. Why aren't none of you saying she will be okay? Bring her back, please. Just this once, please. I can't live without her. Please!"
Digg looked at Oliver and he knew that the man was now broken beyond repair. His pleas to him broke Digg's heart as he looked at the woman he cherished like family. She was gone, truly gone. Digg shook his head as Oliver kept on asking him to save her. Digg watched as his friend begged with a grief stricken Roy, a wailing Thea ans Laurel but all of them said no.
Oliver then crawled back towards Felicity's body and placed a shaking hand on her hair. He bent down and placed a kiss on her forehead and then her lips. He finally closed her eyes with his hand. He looked at Digg with lifeless blue eyes and with that, his eyes closed and everything went black.
