"Alright! Damn! I'll call her and let her know I'M arriving Jesus!" Kiara yelled flopping down on the hotel couch groaning. Greg pestered her far to much for her to not warn Rebecca of the danger that was Greg. If anything she'd try to keep him from getting near her as long as possible. He loved to flirt with anything and everything pretty much.

"Aawww I don't get to meet my future sister-in-law?" He chuckled from the bathroom. He knew what she meant but it was fun to at least tease the beauty as much as he could before she'd beat him up. He enjoyed being around her and annoying her was fun for him because he got under her skin so easily. He was cleaning his wound he acquired from a hunter on their mission and it surprised him because he didn't know people kept the fucking things around still but apparently some where still alive. He was just hoping his partner wouldn't wonder into the bathroom or he'd never hear the end of it. He was lean and mean but she even though she didn't look like it she could take him down with no problem.

"Shut up and hurry up I want to get out of here and get on the road ASAP okay Mr. Buff?" He just laughed and ignored it. He probably was going to move even slower now. He was awfully slow and if he didn't hurry up she was going to make him. She ran her fingers on the scar on her neck and sighed inevitably. She remembered getting it and how but now to her wasn't the time to think if fond memories. Chris gave her something to do so she had to. Taking a deep breath she just focused on the girls. Gabby was still at the academy and Alex was passed out on the small bed. They where identical except for hair color and eye color. In a mere second she heard Greg groan in pain and she pretty much knew what it was. No one could escape a hunter in close combat without attaining a wound or two.

"I...um..." He laughed nervously as he saw her standing in the doorway with a gloom full expression. She was muttering things under her breath. "I...I-it's not as bad as it seems-" His voiced stopped in a high pitched squeak when she clutched the bandaging in her hand and grabbed a washcloth. "I'm okay." She refused to look at him as she wet the washcloth. "I swear I'm okay." She ignored him. It wasn't an awkward silence at all that held the two. It was her silence of regret. It made him feel because she told him not to get her not because if her but every chance he could he'd push her and her daughters out of the way like a...guardian or a Knight. He couldn't tell you because he just did because he wanted to. Compared to her seemingly small frame his rough built body felt like just hugging but wasn't sure it was best to. With her he wasn't sure of anything anymore. At least not now. She wasn't scared of him and he wasn't sure she was afraid of anything. She made Him lift his arms up so she could wrap the bandage around him. She was still quiet with the look of guilt on her face. He could feel her rough yet soft fingers run across his upper body just to wrap the bandage around him. It made him smile every time because she wasn't as cold as people thought her to be. When he was done he smiled brightly at her unsure if she was going to hit him now or later. Before she could move she was engulfed by his arms pulling her into a hug and him chuckling at her. He rested his chin on her head. "Come on queen. I'm okay." He was such a tick to her and it bugged her more than it should have. "We should talk about that thing." She raised her head up and looked at him.

"No. Please no." This was a side he never saw before. She was kind of begging him not to talk about it at least not right now. "If it's true..." He cocked an eyebrow. "Prove it to me." He nodded at her. She let him kiss her forehead and she let him check on Alex when she woke up. She was annoying herself that she was being soft with him and she was annoyed at him general he was ticking her off and she nor he knew why. Walking out of the bathroom she found her phone and begun sifting through the contacts for Rebecca.

"Hmmm. I don't think so." Kiara's attention was turned to Alex and Greg who was comfortably propped on the bed. Greg crisscrossed and Alex's head in his lap. "Ppff my mom is a duck butt." Before Alex could think a small pillow hit her head. Greg laughed and Alex threw it back giggling.

"Young lady I am your mother I'm allowed to be a pain in your butt." She smirked. Alex only roles her eyes and laughed. "We'll stay here for the night instead and then we can move out tomorrow. Do recon for a day and let Alex stay with Rebecca." Alex perked at that.

"Is it safe for the young princess?" Alex hit his arm and frowned making him laugh. She reminded him a lot of him. He treated like a daughter just because that's what it felt like. "I mean it's a mission so-"

"She'll be okay. From what Chris told me after our chase it shouldn't be dangerous to much. We are just keeping Rebecca company besides I'm sure that the terrorists will contact HQ as Rebecca's wear-a-bouts are concealed very well. This is an outsider group. They just arrived in the U.S."

"Terrorists? Details!"

"Sorry need to know." Greg said touching Alex's nose. "I'll tell you later darling." Alex smiled brightly at him.

"Okay be quiet I am about to phone my lovely sister."

Rebecca tapped her pencil anxiously on her table. It was just out if pure boredom because Heather was doing homework and she refused to ask for help even though Rebecca loved to give help. She was a geek in school loved doing work but right now she was so freaking bored it was unbelievable. A bird flying by the window would have been more interesting than this. She watched out of the corner of her eye as Heather's face turned into one full of annoyance at the pencil. To her it was weird because she could never get Heather angry or frustrated or even annoyed at her anymore. When they first met it seemed like her presence did just the opposite of what it does now. It's nice to know but rather weird to her.

"Okay stop!" Heather exclaimed grabbing her hand to take the pencil away. Rebecca gave a sigh and slouched in her chair. Heather shook her head at how bored Rebecca was. She looked like she could paint a giraffe on the wall or kill just from boredom. "I didn't know you where THAT bored." Rebecca chuckled at that shaking her head.

"Sweetheart you don't even know the freaking half of it." Heather laughed her smiling. " Cute smile," Rebecca shifted her position to look at Heather directly. "We're going out tonight to a club down the street," Heather started . "Unless you wanna stay here with Claire and get interrogated again. I think getting you drunk could do something for your self esteem." Heather raised an eyebrow at her and chuckled.

"Wow you have some very odd ways to make someone feel good about themselves. You sure your a doctor?" There might have been something else she meant but it did sound questionable. Of course Billy would be coming. She knew he and Rebecca where rather inseparable at the moment but not for the reasons she thought of.

"Generally when your drunk you don't give a fuck and do what the hell you want. Something you could learn to do." Before she got up from her chair she pointed at Heather. Grabbing her cup she walked back to the coffee maker. It was still pretty early in the morning as far as she could tell and care about. Maybe seven in the morning. Heather had to leave in a little bit and Rebecca would be left home alone bored. Again.

Heather leaned back in her chair with a sigh and smirk as Rebecca ventured into the kitchen. She was at least happy she got a rare good night of sleep with no nightmares. None that she could remember anyway. She had a few minutes before she had to venture off to school. That was shit loads of fun being stuck in classes for hours with barely learning anything seemed. She thought about the fact she had stayed with Rebecca for a couple of weeks or so already maybe she should go back to her place and let Rebecca enjoy quietness. "I think your quite the gal." Heather said playfully. She'd compliment Rebecca and Rebecca would nod it off or thank her like it was just something to say or that she didn't believe it. This time she got a slight chuckle from her friend.

"Thanks. If you mean that in a good way." Heather didn't say anything but turned around and wrinkled her nose at the meaning of the sentence. Rebecca smiled and took a sip of her coffee. Dark coffee with extra sugar and it didn't taste bad but she thought maybe a little cherry taste would make it better. She'd have to pick that up when she went grocery shopping tomorrow and dragged Heather along with her. Against her will no less but atleast she'd interact with people hopefully. Plus she'd probably need help carrying groceries.

Rebecca was just cleaning against the counter drinking coffee thinking of things she'd need to pick up tomorrow. Bread, milk, oatmeal, and a few other things. Tonight though she was going to take Heather out and get her drunk purely for "self esteem" issues. She was cute though wasn't she? Freckles, brown hair, eyes that'd just sparkle out of the blue and cutest smirk ever. Her figure was curves and Rebecca liked that Heather wasn't just skin and bones nor was she overweight she was just right. Sometimes she'd swear Heather had abs and muscle but Heather didn't like showing herself off like that and Rebecca thought that she was just perfect. Absolutely perfect Rebecca couldn't tell you why Heather intrigued her so much. She couldn't even figure out herself. To be honest she liked Heather and liked her more than a friend but every pass she made Heather would ignore or not understand and it'd eat at Rebecca sometimes. Maybe it was an instant attraction or the fact Heather saved her a couple times or both but she didn't care.

Her train of thought was disrupted by her phone ringing and she instantly blushed for a few seconds. She picked up the phone expecting an automated voice call advertising a product. "Hello Rebecca Chambers speaking." She heard shuffling and moving then whispering like a couple of people where fighting over who would answer. Heather gave her a quizzical look to which Rebecca responded with a shrug. It kind of irritated her until she heard the name Alex whispered and she instantly smiled knowing all to well who it was. "Alex!" She chimed happily almost singing the name. It had been awhile but It was her niece and she could only feel happy.

"Aunt Becca!" Came the girlish tone even more excited than Rebecca herself. Alex tried make her mom answer it like she was supposed to but when Rebecca said her name it was an instant reaction to reply and she was more than happy to talk to her. "MOM was supposed to answer but she chickened out at the last minute." She had great emphasis on the word mom and sounded irritated. Kiara only rolled her eyes and shook her head. Rebecca laughed at her.

"Tell me what girly?" Rebecca grinned as she sat next to Heather at her table. It was like Kiara not to take a yelling from Rebecca. Considering it had been nearly two years since they saw each other and neatly eight months since they talked she was going to get yelled at but not right now much later if Rebecca could.

"We-" Alex stopped to correct herself and laid back down on the bed. "Well I am going to come by. Mom wants me to spend the night with you tomorrow so she had her 'partner' can do recon or something like that." Greg patted her head and received the signature glare that Kiara did and it made him chuckle at her. She rolled her eyes and shook her head sarcastically.

"Awesome!" Rebecca nearly jumped up in joy getting a confused look from Heather. "I'm taking a friend out tonight to drink after that I'll be sure to set up for you." Rebecca knew Alex was going to take that a little to serious and it made her chuckle that she knew the young girl so well. "I can't leave breakable objects out in the open can I?" Alex sadly agreed with her. Rebecca was a first hand witness at Alex's anger issues and though it wasn't that much of a problem anymore she's been known to break anything she can. "Put your mom on okay? you and me can talk all day together!"

"I love you Rebecca." Kiara pleaded. She was hoping that would help her situation but again she was dead wrong obviously.

"Kiara you irritate me to the highest form!" Rebecca raged and sighed. She could have called Rebecca knew the missions didn't last that long. Not the ones Kiara would get anyways. "You could have called, messaged, send me a letter anything on earth! Your in the B.S.A.A. for crying our loud! You could let me know if your alright!" It wasn't fair to Rebecca that Kiara hadn't let her know or something that she was very much alive and in the living world. That was one thing Rebecca hated about the B.S.A.A. you could die anytime on the battlefield. It night have been unfortunate but it was harder for their loved ones back home. Unfortunately Rebecca was that loved one, that family member.

"I'm alright."

"Don't be a smart ass to me! I'm serious here Sis." Taking in a shallow breath she put her head in her hand and pouted unaware Heather was staring.

"Feel better?" Rebecca murmured an mhm in reply. "I'm sorry I really am things have...been..." She looked at Greg for a moment. If she had to tell her about the things she'd done she'd need more than a few minutes to do it and she preferred to do it face to face. "Tough. I'll have Greg drop her off tomorrow and then the next day I'll fill you in." She hoped she could do it within a day because a lot had happened and it'd be a lot to tell to be honest. "Deal?"

"Alright deal. Love you bye." Kiara said her bye and Rebecca hung up half irritated but completely excited. Heather looked beyond confused. "That was niece and sister. My niece is getting dropped off here tomorrow I haven't seen her in a few months and the next dat my sister is coming over." She was happy Alex was coming over that meant she'd do the traditional stay up late, watch scary movies, eat junk food, and spoil her niece to death. She loved that so much it felt like a treat to her. Rebecca gave a big smile that Heather found beyond adorable!

"You have a sister?" That was something beyond new to Heather. Rebecca never talker about her sister and least of all she had a niece? It was confusing considering she swore Rebecca told her she was an only child. "Then we shouldn't go party right?" It might give her the advantage she needed though! She was feeling insecure about the whole going out and drinking thing. She'd never gotten wasted and didn't really want to.

"Nice try. Two upsides." Heather cocked an eyebrow. "One, it's not partying it's just drinking. Two if we get a hangover Alex will be that reminder I'd why we shouldn't drink to much. Believe me if she sees we have hangovers she'll do everything in her power to make us regret it. I know she's done it to me before." It was a funny memory for another day. Now she had to make sure that didn't get plastered because Alex like mom can be ruthless and antagonising. Heather shook her head at her.

"I thought you where an only child." This would be an interesting story in the least.

"I am but I met Kiara when I was a little girl she helped me. I was around eight or so. She became like family so much my parents considered her their daughter they'd even tell people she was." It was funny to hear her mother and father introduce Kiara to people and tell them she was their oldest daughter but people never believed it as they looked nothing alike. It still never changed their feelings and Rebecca was greatful for that. "When she came home and had no where else my parents gave her the guest room in our house. She's an ex marine. She's also a moron but God I love my sister." Heather only nodded feeling awkward to say anything about it.

"What's she like?" Heather was kind of curious but was more hoping to make her forget about going out and make sure she wasn't completely insane. "Your sister I mean." Having someone completely insane yell at her for no reason wouldn't be fantastic would it? Not that she was particularly sane herself but there where people even crazier than her now wasn't there?

"Hmm..." To put Kiara into words was a very hard thing. "Well..." She tapped a finger against her chin thinking of the right thing to say. Not that Kiara would care but she had to do some justice for her in the least. "Okay you'll just have to see for yourself. She's a...unique character if anything and hard to explain. Careful though not to bring up the girl's father it's touchy. She has twins."

"Twins?" Rebecca was one surprise after the other. She looked excited about it so Heather was careful not to say anything to disrespect these people she didn't know. Rebecca smiled at her and nodded. She probably had a pet spider under her bed for all Heather knew not that it'd bother her at all.

"Alex and Gabby. Well Alexia And Gabriella." Rebecca loved to brag about the two girls when she could. Both where intelligent even though Alex didn't act like it sometimes and Gabby often times would become frustrated at her sister for talking to much. Rebecca thought the world of them and would surely find a place for Alex to stay even though Heather was here. She wanted Heather to stay even though she had been here longer than intended because Rebecca simply loved her company. Maybe Rebecca could give an excuse that would keep her here for another day at least. Rebecca's thoughts where disrupted by Heather grabbing her bag and standing up. Rebecca frowned at this. "Got to go already?" Heather nodded.

"We'll talk more when I come home. I would like to know of this magical sister you call Kiara." Rebecca nodded and gave her a faint smile before heading towards the door. "I could always use a drive back from school." Rebecca perked up and smirked. Heather couldn't understand why Rebecca liked doing things for her so much. It was foreign to Heather for someone to do as much as she had already done for her. Not that she'd complain about it. Heather was fast enough to catch the local bus that stopped near the College. The bus was its usual taint and old people smell with the occasional homeless person and drunk. She kind if wondered where the kid she had seen before was. He was a curious character and kind of cute she'd bet underneath all that dirt was a smart sweet boy. She wished she'd taken him hone and done something for him. She frowned wondering why she hadn't. But before she could think about it further she was already getting off of the bus.
