Davina was exploring Paris in all it's slender. The huge houses that looked expensive and impressive. She was amazed by all of the old buildings in Paris, the pure history that was in this place. As someone who grew up in New Orleans, the oldest building she's seen was 100 years old. When she went the United Kingdom that change of setting really hit her. She could see the decadence of the French Royalty by their clothes and buildings. She saw one lady with a monster wig and skirts so huge she had to go sideways to get through doors.

She instantly fell in love with the city and hoped to find her home and her fortune. Davina was going to find her passion and use that to rise in this city, far away from the crazy cult she's been apart of. Davina was eating a pastry in the street when a man started playing a merry tune. Everyone was either clapping or dancing. Her French wasn't good enough to understand the lyrics but she could tell it was a story about hope and happiness.

Davina put her pastry on the side and joined in with the locals. She danced along to the fast tune with a smile on her face. This witch had always been a good dancer ever since she was little. After a while everyone was watch her and cheering her on. When the dance was finished the crowd broke into applause. One man who'd been watching her with interest was Kol Mikaelson.

"That was quite enchanting love" Kol said in French.

When Davina looked like she didn't understand him he repeated it in English. She smiled at the handsome Englishman.

"Thank you, kind sir" Davina flirted back.

"Your not from around here are you" Kol grinned.

"Neither are you" she shot right back.

This girl was quick and witty, not to mention pretty, Kol's interest in her increased. He couldn't quite detect her accent though. Kol guessed she was properly from somewhere in the New World.

"Quite right love" he replied, "My name is Kol Mikaelson"

"I'm Davina Clare" she smiled as she got back to her pastry that had now gone cold.

"It's nice to meet you Davina" Kol said licking his lips, "Where are you off to then pretty one?"

"I've got a city to explore" Davina announced confidently.

"Will you allow me to be your guide?"

"I suppose so" she shrugged, "Don't you have anything else to do?"

Kol got up close to her and stroked her hair that was so soft and silky before replying.

"Not for you Darling"

...

It was a Sunday and Caroline was meeting Klaus at the Fontaine des innocents. It was almost nine and there was a gentle breeze in the air. She felt cooled on that hot day that had descended on Paris. Her clothes stuck to her skin as she waited for Klaus. He arrived a few minutes later. A large and impressive looking carriage arrived in front of her. The door was opened by one of his men, which revealed Klaus who was gesturing her to come in.

Caroline gladly left the ruthless heat and sat down next to him as the carriage ploughed on through the streets of Paris. Klaus was wearing expensive clothes that were emerald green, a few expensive rings were on his fingers and he turned to look at her full in the face.

"Where are we going?" Caroline asked.

"Back to my apartments" Klaus looked like a man with a secret, "I have something arrange for us"

They continued towards to mystery arrangement. The both of them made small talk about nothing in particular as his carried on to their destination. Caroline couldn't guess what it was but she was curious to find out. When they arrived Klaus tipped the coachman and directed her to his large Paris house that Caroline has never seen before. This must be where he stayed when he had business in the capital.

It was huge and luxurious just like the other place but this new place wasn't dead at all. The place was full of life and colour. When they entered she saw a soft white carpet with white walls there was a massive and very expensive looking chandelier. There were portraits and expensive vases as they made their way to a room upstairs. This room was more like a studio then a posh residence. The floor was wooden and the walls were more of a turquoise then white. In the middle there was a readymade canvas ready for painting with different coloured paint pots.

"I'd like to teach you how to paint" Klaus announced happily," Obviously it will take more than one session but I'd like to teach you over the Sundays we have together"

Caroline smiled at the thought that's gone into this and nodded her head.

"Where do we start?" Caroline smiled happily.

"Come and sit down first" Klaus indicated a vacant chair.

She sat down, sitting in front of the blank canvas. Klaus was sitting next to her. Sunlight was streaming through the windows; it illuminated her appearance. Klaus couldn't help but smile at the sight. Caroline was so full of light, the only light in his dark world. He began teaching her the basics and she was a good student. She followed his instructions and produced a few good beginner pieces. Caroline defiantly had the gift of art.

"You'll be a Michelangelo in no time" Klaus grinned as their session ended.

Caroline blushed at the praise and looked deep into his eyes. She didn't know what to say or what to do but Klaus did. He started kissing her softy for a few minutes. Everything seemed to drain away as they continued. The clock struck five, which brought them back in the real world. Caroline's blush had deepened and even Klaus was blushing a little bit.

"My driver will escort you home" he told her, "I'll see you next week"

...

The Salvatore brothers were playing at a local tavern. Every inch of the place was packed as the locals of Paris were dying to see France's hottest new act. Elena was in the crowd when they came on stage. Damon picked up his flute and bowed, so did Stefan. Elena noticed Damon as positioned his flute, poised to begin playing.

"Thank you for such a great welcome Paris!" Stefan yelled.

"We are the Salvatore brothers and we are going to be entertaining you tonight!" Damon joined in.

Damon began playing his lute before Stefan jumped in with the lyrics. Elena was watching Damon with such fascination. He was playing that lute like his life depended on it. She could see his passion for music come alive when he was playing his lute. Elena couldn't help but clap along with everyone else. Kol had promised to meet her but he was an hour late. There was something off about Kol but she couldn't put her finger on it.

When they'd finished the first half both of them were sweating madly. The crowd were cheering as the in-between music sprang up in the form of a violin. Damon and Stefan made their way through crowd as they reached the bar. The both of them drowned their pints in one go; they were that thirsty. Damon looked around the bar and spotted Elena sitting by herself.

"It's that girl from before?" Damon whispered to his brother.

"Then why don't you go talk to her?" Stefan suggested.

"She's got a boyfriend," Damon reminded him.

Stefan put his hand on his brother's shoulder and grinned.

"That's never stopped you before" Stefan pointed out.

A roguish smirk appeared on his features.

"Good point brother" Damon said before going to talk to her.

Elena was drinking a glass of rum as Damon approached. She was relieved that someone was with her because Elena was feeling a little silly waiting for someone who was two hours late.

"Good evening beautiful" Damon flirted.

"Good evening" Elena responded tightly.

"Where's your boyfriend?" Damon asked her.

"Not coming" Elena replied shortly.

Damon grabbed her hand delicately before replying.

"Then he's a fool who doesn't deserve you" Damon said softly.

Elena grinned a little as Damon felt her ice melt. He sat down next to her as he took a quick swing of his drink.

"Will you be staying to see the second half?" Damon wanted to know.

She started smiling again before giving a flirtatious reply, "Do you want me to?"

"The second half will blow you away but the after party will be something else all together" Damon was now grinning broadly, "You should stick around for that"

"Maybe I will"

...

When Caroline got back to her quarters there was a package waiting for her. Her head was still buzzing about what happened at his home. Caroline and let him kiss her, did she want to go down that road again? Or did she want to go further? A piece of parchment was scrolled up and bound together by a red ribbon. She opened it to reveal a hand-drawn picture of her painting something on a canvas. Caroline smiled despite herself. He's taken time and effort to draw that picture.

She put it on her bedside table as she started getting ready for bed. Caroline missed him already and mentally shook herself for her stupidity. She needed a walk so she picked up her coat again and headed out the door. It was a clear and warm night as she made her way through the streets.

Klaus was undead, a murderer, he had to suck the blood of people just to keep himself alive. There were so many reasons that he was wrong for her. How could they a have a future together when he was immortal and she will age and die. It was best that she stay away from Klaus and his weird family. During her walk she saw Elena and some guy start kissing and run off to find a secluded spot. Caroline had to smile at her sister's actions.

Caroline was glad she was moving away from Kol. She was thinking about her sister when she heard something behind her. It was a whooshing sound; Caroline was still for a while trying a see what it was but it didn't make anymore noise so she turned around but was shocked by what she saw. It was Elena (even though it looked like her it didn't really feel like Elena) and she had fangs that were draped in blood and there was something wrong with her face. It was terrifying.

"Elena?" Caroline whimpered.

"Wrong guess" she smiled wickedly, "Although I do look a lot like her"

That wasn't Elena's voice it sounded different. Did Elena have some evil twin that she didn't know about?

"Your Klaus' favourite human aren't you?" Katherine asked mockingly, "Tell Klaus Katherine says hello"

Katherine bit into her wrist and fed it to Caroline. She tried to resist but it was no good. Then Katherine broke her neck, sending her into unconsciousness. While Katherine was waiting for Caroline to wake up so quickly compelled someone to follow her every command. They got back to Caroline when she was just waking up. There was a look of pure confusion on her face. She felt so weird. What was happening to her?

Caroline stood up feeling woozy before she could scream Katherine bit into the strangers arm and shoved it into Caroline's mouth. She protested at first but then she was eager to do it. She knew what she'd been turned into. Caroline was now a vampire.

...

Klaus was sitting at home reading a newspaper. An advert for a maid made him think of Caroline. He should try harder to suppress his emotions when he's with her. He didn't act like a gentleman today. Klaus had drawn her that picture as an apology. Her natural talent for art pleased him. A servant burst in interrupting his thoughts.

"Someone's been left for your sir" the servant looked shocked.

"Someone or something?" Klaus was confused.

"You'd better have a look," the servant said before leading him out of the room.

He followed the servant out of the room and into the entrance hall where that was a Caroline was a bloody, pale and to his horror, a vampire.

"Get her into the guest bedroom" Klaus ordered.

They obeyed and led Klaus upstairs. The servants put her into one of the beds and put the sheets around her. Caroline was conscious but scared but most of all she was shocked by what's just happened to her. Klaus ordered the curtains to be closed and then he told them to leave, which they did leaving them alone.

"Who did this to you?" Klaus sounded like he was barely containing his fury.

"Her name was Katherine and she looked like Elena" Caroline was so confused, her voice was faint, "She told me to tell you, Katherine says hello"

Katherine now had a death sentence.
