THE HER AGENCY

Disclaimer: The Cullen's, the Swans, and most of the characters mentioned in the story that are known from Stephanie Meyer's beloved Twilight Saga, are all hers and hers alone. I neither have nor wish to pass them off as mine. I do appreciate the fact that she did bring them to life and allows us to play with them in our imaginations. The only thing I will claim is the current storyline.

The awesome and talented dowlingnana searched out my errors and corrected them.

Most everything they came up with needed extra help so they worried about the consequences of bringing Emmett and Jasper into the planning and helping to get the couple together. Was that going to be a wise choice to included others and just how far could they be trusted to keep their mouths closed?

CHAPTER 10: GETTING THE AGREEMENTS

Edward and Emmett had listened intently to all that Jasper was able to tell them about the women in question since Emmett was curious about whatever Jasper might know about his Rosie as well. Jasper did tell them what he knew of the three women, including his Alice at times when appropriate, but, never said anything that was a more private nature about any of the women, as the three tried to come up with a plan that would aid Edward with getting a bit closer to Bella.

Little did they know that Rosalie and Alice were about to present what they considered to be the perfect plan of action that would give Edward a chance to impress Bella with his personality, if the guys were willing to help pull it off. They were going to help him get his foot in the door, sort of, but, the rest would be up to him.

The guys were still busy tossing ideas back and forth only to end up rejecting each one as not being workable or realistic when the sound of knocking was heard at the door. Emmett opened the door to see Alice standing there, he moved to one side giving her enough room to enter. She smiled and then moved forwards to where the other two guys were standing, curious about who their visitor was and then once finding out, wondering why she was there.

"I've come to ask a favor. Rosalie and I need all of you to help us achieve a certain goal that we've set for ourselves. We're just not able to find a way to do this without the help of you three." She quietly explained without giving anything useful away. Alice was determined to find out just how much the guys would be willing to help before explaining anything too much to them.

She and Rosalie had come up with what they believed was a fool proof plan that couldn't go wrong even if someone messed up. All they needed to make completely sure that it would work is the cooperation of the guys and one in particular if he truly desired to spend any time with Bella. And, all the signs were there that Edward Cullen did indeed have a deep interest in Isabella Swan Herndon. They had been able to detect the information that reflected this interest by what they had seen in his eyes and the way he followed her movements, the attention he gave to her, the admiring glances he tried to sneak looks in her direction when he thought no one would notice, the gentleness he used in his handling of her during their unfortunate meetings and the wistful sigh that seemed to escape quietly each time she rebuked him only to walk away without giving him any encouragement. All of these things along with a few others had been noticed by both Rosalie and Alice, but, without them being aware of it so had Emmett and Jasper.

"Okay, darling, what is it that you're needing for us to help you with? I know for myself that I'd be more than happy lending a hand, but, I can't speak for these other two." Jasper told the apple of his eye without any hesitation since he trusted his Alice absolutely. He knew that she wouldn't ask anything of him or anyone else that would be disastrous.

Edward simply asked, "What is it that you would like for us to help you do, Ms. Brandon?" And his question was followed by a similar question from Emmett in regards to what sort of aid she and his Rosie required from them.

Alice took her time to look at each man in turn right in the eyes and kept a straight face as she said, "Rosalie and I know that you, Mr. Cullen, have a great deal of interest in wanting to get closer to our Bella. Of course, we know her very well and know how she deals with things, especially when it comes to men. But, in watching the incident that happened at LAX and then the incident from this morning we've recognized the signs of your interest and have decided to help you to get to know our Bella a bit better.

"We've come up with a plan that will leave no room for her to ignore you, or, to walk away from you for any sort of distance. Now, how you use the advantage is strictly in your hands while the rest of us would have set the stage for you to make the most of being near her."

"While I do appreciate all that you're saying I must remind you that you still haven't told us what your plan is and how we can help you." Edward softly reminded Alice.

"I have no intention of telling any of you the plan until I know for sure that we've read you correctly about wanting to get to know our Bella and just how serious you are about getting to know her." Alice firmly replied, but, in a soft tone.

"Ed, old buddy, even I've noticed the difference in your attitude when it comes to your encounters with Mrs. Herndon. Normally, you're a cocky son of a bitch and so full of yourself, but, with this woman you're gentle, reserved and concerned about her before self. So, I have to ask for you to answer the question about how serious you are in regards to getting closer to their friend." Emmett wanted to know from his friend.

"Yeah, Edward, I'm curious just like the others and did observe the same signals you gave off as the others. You behaved in a manner that is different than what has been reported by the rag mags, the tabloids and other sources in their interviews where you were a topic of conversation." Jasper remarked.

"Of course I'm interested in getting to know the enticing Mrs. Herndon a whole hell of a lot better, but, I've no idea how I can get her to stay still long enough to even carry on a polite conversation with her let along getting her to listen and accept my invitation to go out with me." Edward answered. "And, believe me if someone has a damn good idea that will help me get closer to her long enough without her running in the opposite direction after she had verbally cut me to the quick then I'm interested in hearing it and doing it. I do believe in fate and realize that fate is trying to tell us something and I'm wanting to explore and see what it is that fate has in store for me and Mrs. Herndon."

"So, if I understand you, Edward, and the other two, you are all willing to help with this plan to get you and Bella together. Of course, after we get you two together it will be entirely up to you, Edward, as to how you handle things to get her to go out with you, let alone have anything to do with you." Alice told them with a slight sound of laughter coming through her tone as she spoke.

Then she started speaking again before any of the three guys could say a word and asked, "Would you three be willing to either model or work with me when I have my showing in a couple of days?"

The three men stood and looked at Alice as if she had lost her mind and they couldn't imagine how the hell helping Alice in that manner would aid Edward in his quest to get closer to Bella.

"Pardon me, darlin', but, how will any or all of us working with you help to get Edward closer to Bella?" Jasper asked in complete bewilderment as he couldn't see anyway that that would help his new friend.

"Jazz, I'm not going to answer any questions until each of you have answered mine. Are all of you willing to help with our plan by working with me during my showing?"

"If this will get Bella to stand still and allow Edward a chance, then, yeah, Alice, I'm in. It'll also give me a chance to spend more time with Rosie while she's working." Emmett expressed his thoughts with the idea of seeing Rosalie at work in her career and being closer to her by being a part of it in even a small capacity.

"As long as what you're asking me to do doesn't involve anything illegal or hazardous to my health, then I'm willing to help with whatever you have planned to get Bella to stand still for me." Edward agreed the same as Emmett. And all it took was one quizzical look from the other two men for Jasper to agree as well.

"Okay, now that we've all agreed to help with your little scheme, Alice, would you mind telling us what we've committed ourselves to do?" Jasper asked.

"Well, Rosalie and I thought it would be a good idea to get Edward and Emmett to escort our models down the runway as they were modeling various outfits. And, you, Jasper, can help to coordinate everything behind the scenes with me.

"That way Bella won't be able to not be close to Edward and as I stated earlier it will be up to him as to how he takes advantage of the opportunity."

"Has Mrs. Herndon, I mean, Bella, agreed to this plan of yours?" Edward immediately questioned Alice after her last statement.

"Rosalie is talking to her now. She's explaining how we're one model short all of a sudden and that we don't really have time to find a replacement."

"Is it true; the fact that you're one model short? I thought that you had everything organized." Emmett asked in a slightly puzzled way. "From what Rosie told me you were all set for the showing of your line with all of your models ready."

"That's true, Emmett, but, there are a few things that I've considered showing, but, hadn't made up my mind about that are in Bella's size. So, if Bella will agree then I'll be including them in my showing with you and Edward acting as escorts to Bella and Rosalie, mainly, but, at times with one or two other models that way Bella won't get suspicious.

"If Bella agrees then I'll spend the rest of the morning getting the necessary clothing ready for you two so the lines and all will blend in with my line. I would have put you into my line except that I've not developed a line for men as yet; I've mainly have concentrated on women and getting that line up and going before branching out into other areas."

"Well, I don't know about the other two, but, I must say that you and Rosalie seemed to have put a great deal of thought into this plan. I really don't see, like you two, how it wouldn't work in my favor. Let's just hope that I'm up to the task and won't disappoint everyone by getting another refusal from her." Edward remarked.

"Great! I'll let Rose know that all of you are on board with this. Edward Cullen if you end up hurting our friend you will regret it to your dying day. However, sometimes I have a sixth sense about things and truly believe that you and Bella are meant for each other and a really lost soul mates that have been searching for the other. And, now you're finally getting the chance to come together with a little bit of help from friends."

And with that said to three stunned looking men Alice quickly let herself out the door and was nearly skipping back to her suite where Rosalie was still talking with Bella about modeling some clothes.

A/N: Do you think Alice and Rosalie's plan is going to work? Will Edward now get his chance to get to know Bella? Will Bella agree to model for Alice?
