Chapter 10: The Fusion of Friendship: The second Part Of The First Team Tag Match
(Last time on Academy's saiyan duelist)
In his mind Syrus thought, 'Great if I summon the wrong monster next turn I could cause myself and Jaden to be kicked off the island and then I would just prove my brother right when he said I didn't belong here.'
(Current chapter)
Syrus was carefully examining his hand and realise saw that he could only play a weak defense. "Okay I summon Cyroid in defense mode and end my turn." He said. In his head he thought, 'Crap I see Jaden looking at me I know it was a weak move, but it was the best I could do.' Emily started her turn, "I summon Vorse Raider in attack mode now I activate the magic card tribute doll to summon a blue-eyes white dragon from my deck. Now blue-eyes white dragon attack cyroid with white lightning!" and Jaden replied, "Not so fast I activate the trap card negate attack it stops blue-eye attack and ends the battle phase." Emily responded, "No matter next turn cyroid will be crushed into dust."
Jaden drew and smiled, "I activate the magic card fusion recovery with this card I can add a fusion material monster and a polymerization from my grave to my hand,now I activate the polymerization to fuse together Sparkman, avian, and bubbleman in order to summon elemental hero tempest. Now I activate the field spell skyscraper so now whenever an elemental hero I control battles a monster stronger then itself it gains 1000 attack points. Now elemental hero tempest attack Emily's blue-eyes white dragon." The attack destroyed blue-eyes and dropped their life points to 7000 "Now I set this card face down and end my turn."
Kaiba drew his card, "I summon vorse raider the man beast in attack mode and now I will attack tempest with blue-eyes ultimate." Jaden shook his head, and looked at Kaiba "Nope you triggered my facedown card Kaiba hero barrier you see since there is a hero monster on the field that attack is negated." Kaiba groaned, "I end." Syrus drew a card looking to his friend and asked, "Jay you mind if I borrow tempest" Jaden smiled, at him and replied "Not in the least."
Syrus smiled,"I tribute my cyroid in order to summon uforoid in attack mode and now I activate the magic card power bond. I fuse together uforoid and elemental hero tempest in order to summon uforoid fighter in attack mode. Its attack depends on the total of attack points of the monsters used to summon it so it is at 4000 normally. However with power bond the attack point double giving it a whopping 8000 attack points".
"Uforoid fighter attack blue-eyes ultimate dragon" Syrus commanded. The blue-eyes ultimate dragon was destroyed dropping emily's and kaiba's life points to he wasn't finished, "Now I activate the magic card de-fusion to split tempest and uforoid back into the original monsters used to summon it. Now since I have a soft spot for the ladies tempest attack Kaiba directly and uforoid attack Emily directly." Both of them watched as the double direct attack dropped their life points to zero winning the the duel as the holograms disappeared.
Chancellor Shepherd stood up and announced, "That is the end of the first expulsion duel of the day now after a 20 minute break where there will be refreshments supplied by Miss. Dorothy we will begin the second expulsion duel where obelisk blue student Alexis Rhodes and slifer red student Ethan Tidwell will be dueling Mai valentine and Mako tsunami."
(In the main hallway outside the arena)
Jaden was about to get something to eat off the table, when a second later a flash of blond hair appeared Jaden felt himself being held by Alexis. He smiled and chuckled, "Okay that was the most energetic hello after a duel that I have got from you" She smiled and just started kissing him on both his cheeks. After a few moments of this Alexis stopped kissing him with her face a deep shade of red and Jaden's cheek also had a shade red that made the colour of Slifer look pale. She smiled looking at him "Well I am just glad that you get to stay on the island." Confused as usual, Jaden replied, "Uh don't you mean me and Syrus are both staying." Alexis replied, stuttering, blushing again and bit her lip, "Uh o-of course that is what I m-meant." Jaden satisfied with that answer and not noticing Alexis's reaction walked back to the refreshment table to eat as much as he could in the 20 minute time period before the next march.
Standing in the shadows were two people with the academy standard duel disks on their arms stood next to each other, the male observed, "Looks like a young sailor here had found his mermaid already." The female figure shugged before replying to him "Eh I don't know why she doesn't go for the blonde one that is her tag team partner against us on the next duel I mean he looks so much more handsome and not quite as dumb."
