Chapter 10: The Arrival Of My Friends To Lothlorien

Miki's feet were hurting, Nix and Xana were still adjusting to their height ducking when they needed to Courtney and Crystal were complaining that they felt weird without shoes on. Long ago had the members of the fellowship taken their packs to help ease the load on their backs.
"Are we there yet?" asked Miki as she stopped to rub her feet, she was wearing flats which probably weren't the best thing to go walking in a forest in.
"Miki, stop complaining. I am getting wacked by branches- I'm used to being small!" Xana called as she turned around to tell Miki to be quiet
"Xana, duck" said Legolas as he pushed her head down to help her not snap branches
"Thanks Legolas" she sighed as she tried to get the blood of her face from previous branches snapping
"Haldir, I think that we need to get the girls cleaned up before we enter the city" suggested Aragorn as he helped Xana up and applied a salve to her cuts
"Thanks Aragorn" Sighed Xana as she rubbed the salve into her cuts as she kept walking
"Nix can you get my pack from Boromir please?" Asked Courtney as she struggled to keep up with the fast pace set by Haldir
"Of course Courtney" said Nix as she reached to pull the pack off Haldir's back and gave it to her, Courtney instantly found her bandaids and passed them around to her friends.
"Thanks Court" sighed Miki as she put the bandaids on her feet while the rest of the fellowship watched astounded at what was unfolding
"We make for the city, with any luck we should reach it by nightfall" said Haldir as he sat down next to Nix
"Well what are we waiting for?" Yelled Crystal as she jumped up and started to run in the direction of the city

As they followed her, Xana spotted an elf who seemed to run straight up to Haldir and full on hug him. That's weird...NO! That's his brother, ummmm, come on Xanabell you have read the books how many times and you cannot remember a simple elf's name? That's just shame! Oh wait its either Orophin or Rumil. Mmmmm, Maybe I could try out my pathetic elvish skills and see what they say about it thought Xana as she moved away from Legolas' and Gimli's sides to test her theory.
"Well seen, umm wardens?" she asked nervously. It took the brothers a little while to figure out what she was trying to say, Haldir saved her the embarrassment and told them what she was trying to say.
"Brothers, excuse her-she meant Well met wardens of the march." he explained
" Well you could have just said so." replied Rumil in the common tongue "I learnt it for this reason!"
"Sorry always wanted to try that." said Xana as she tried to hide her embarrassment by pulling her hair over her face
"Don't worry about the pronunciation, it comes eventually-hey you're an elf! You should be able to speak that! It's simple elvish!" exclaimed Rumil
"Don't ask, it's a long story" sighed Haldir as he walked past practically dragging a tired Nix with him.
"I'm awake, no I'm not. Catch me Haldir!"muttered Nix as she fell forward onto him
"I got you Nix" he said as he hoisted her sleeping form onto his shoulder
"Aragorn, what did I say just then?" asked Xana worried about if she had offended the elves
"It doesn't matter" he replied as he kept walking Although it was funny
"Legolas, what did I say?" she tried again
"You said 'well seen' and I must admit your pronunciation of the phrase was almost perfect. I must ask where you learnt it from."
"Ummm, you know how we said that elves in our world were only figures of our imagination? Well they came from a well known writer called J.R.R. Tolkien, he was the one who invented the elves, I think." she replied, carefully choosing her words so she wouldn't give anything away.
"Well, you seemed to have picked up a lot" he said as he walked away

The girls tried to make themselves presentable, fixing their hair and straightening their clothes and rubbing the blood and dirt off their faces. Haldir led them up multiple levels to the top of the huge Mallorn tree, all the way with Crystal humming 'Their Taking the Hobbits to Isengard' until Xana sent her a look that read Shut it-you're NOT a one person symphony orchestra!

Haldir left them at the entrance of the fleet, after giving a quick wink to Nix he walked away.
"Thirteen there are, yet nine there were set out from Rivendell. Tell me, where is Gandalf, for I much desire to speak with him." said Celeborn, the girls started sniggering at his words, remembering a comment from the youtube clip.
"He has fallen into shadow, the quest stands upon the edge of a knife. Stray but a little and it will fail, to the ruin of all...Yet hope remains while the company is true." Galadriel said softly as they both walked forward "Do not let your hearts be troubled. Go now and rest for you are weary with sorrow and much toil, Tonight you will sleep in peace." She said looking straight at Xana, Meet me in my room after this, young one, we have much to discuss, Xanabell.Xanabell looked back at the elven queen's form as she walked away wondering what she had gotten herself into.

"You seem to be not of this world, Xanabell, yet you are an elf. Tell me, did the Valar send you? Aragorn's mind was laughing at your mispronunciation of well met, clearly showing that you're not of this world." started Galadriel as Xana walked into her private chambers.
"Well you see my Lady, Oh God where do I start?" wondered Xana aloud
"The beginning is usually the best place, child"
"Well, Nix and I were watching a movie-with you guys in it, and the fellowship just seemed to jump out into my house." explained Xana "And after that we-that's me, Mikeala, Courtney, Crystal and Nix, tried to find a way back for them, which involved us watching that same movie without the sound and TV screen. When we woke up, Nix and I found that we were elves, Courtney and Crystal were Hobbits and Miki was the same."
"Tell me, child.." started Galadriel
"Sorry, my Lady, but please call me Xana."
"Xana, they-the fellowship, have taught you, Nix and the others how to fight?"
"No, Lady Galadriel, only myself and Nix"
"What weapons, may I ask?"
"I'm learning how to shoot a bow with Legolas and Haldir. Aragorn and Boromir are teaching us both how to use swords though."
"I have sent for travelling clothes for yourself, Nix and Mikeala, they will be there for you when you arrive at the camp. Stay safe and do not let this quest fail, Xanabell." finished Galadriel
"Yes, my Lady." said Xana as she bowed and left the room.

When she returned to the camp, she found Nix and Haldir walking together, Gimli attempting to sleep, Merry, Pippin, Courtney and Crystal setting up a round robin competition for sword play and Miki and Boromir walking back to camp-Boromir looked as though he was shell shocked and at the same time beaming at Miki.
"A lament for Gandalf" said Legolas sadly
"What do they say about him?" asked Merry looking away from Crystal who threw a punch at him.
"Oi, focus." she said
"I have not the heart to tell you. For me, the grief is still too near" he continued
She continued Boromir kissed Miki on the head and walked over to set up his bed when Aragorn walked over and talked with him and saw him shaking his head at what Aragorn was saying.
"Well what happened, Miki?" asked Xana
"Defiantly not telling you Xana" she said as she walked over to watch the contest.
