10.Chapter: Fallen in love with a star
On the way home (Alex) (14pm)
I lost myself in thoughts. I felt a little bit sad because I thought that she was in love with me but she wasn't. Yeah, I know this whole thing is a little bit strange and I don't know why I can't say that I like her. And I'm not sure if I'm in love with her. But I know that I really like Ryan and I can't do this. Above all I can not do this if I'm not sure if I'm just curious of her. She is very beautiful and gorgeous and I like it to be with her but that doesn't mean I'm in love with her! Besides she has a girlfriend now. I still can't believe this! It's so strange. I saw Marissa getting nervous. "So tell me, how is it to date a girl?" I asked her and couldn't avoid my cheeky smile. Marissa looked at me a little bit confused: "Ehm …I don't know we're at the beginning of our relationship! I don't even know if we are really dating!" I nodded: "Hmm… and how is it to kiss her? Is it like kissing a boy or?" She rolled her eyes: "Gee Alex, what is the point of that? Is this an interrogation?" I laughed: "No, sorry! I'm just curious! I mean my best friend turns gay!" As I say that Marissa looked at me angry: "I'm not gay!" I was shocked: "Eh… sorry I didn't want to hurt you with this! But …!" She looked at me seriously: "I'm not sure Alex! I'm not into labels! Ok?!" I saw that she got really angry and confused and I just nodded. "It's ok sweetie!" I said to calm her down. Then she looked out the window and didn't talk the whole drive. I was worried I didn't want to say something which hurt her. We stopped in front of her Mansion. She looked at me: "Do you want to come in? ... Look Alex I'm not sure about this issue and I want that you keep it private, ok?" I just nodded and went in with her. I wanted to see Ryan. I wasn't a good girlfriend at the last time.
At the kitchen (15pm)
Marissa went to the kitchen and I followed her. "I'm so hungry!" she said with a grin. I shook my head: "You're a big glutton!" "Hey, I'm not! That's unfair!" She made two sandwiches and gave me one. I bite a piece from it and it was really delicious. Marissa couldn't cook but she made the best sandwiches I ever ate! "Hmm… that's really delicious! Are her lips delicious like this?" I asked her cheeky. Marissa blushed: "Alex be quiet, please! My mum could her us! She could suddenly come in!" I rolled my eyes: "Don't be so paranoid! Nobody follows you!" Suddenly someone knocked on the kitchen door. "Come in!" we both shouted curiously who it was. A beautiful brunette with wavy hair and burning hot blue eyes came in. She grinned at Marissa: "Hey Rissa, your brother let me in! You aren't busy, are you?" She shook her head and gave her a kiss on the cheek. "Don't you want to introduce her to me?" I asked Marissa. Marissa nodded: "Ehm Alex this is Georgina, Georgina Alex!" Georgina smiled at me: "Nice to meet cha!" It was obvious that she came from New York. She presented herself as a little G. I grinned: "Nice to meet YOU too!" I said and looked at Marissa. She seemed very nervous. "Georgina is my best friend from Boarding school! I told you about her do you remember?" I shook my head: No I can't" I said cheekily. Marissa looked at me alerted. I laughed: "No, I'm just joking! You were the two girls who command the whole school, right?" Georgina nodded and grinned: "No I commanded the whole school and Marissa was my assistant!" she laughed. I saw how she took Marissa' hand under the table, but I didn't show it. Marissa shook her head: "She's a big liar!" I saw her hands intertwining and that was somehow strange. What are they doing? She shouldn't make it so obvious! Everyone would notice it quickly if they go on like this. "Ehm… what are you doing with your hands?" I asked them. Georgina took offence: "Is this a problem for you?" I acted as if I wouldn't know it. "What do you mean?" Georgina: "Didn't she tell you?" she looked confused. "Told me what?" Marissa: "Alex! Stop it! What are you doing? Why are you provoking her? You know that we're together!" I shook my head: "Why are you making this so obvious that you are dating? I thought you're afraid and don't want to show it!" Georgina looked at us a little bit confused: "Marissa, what is going on?" Marissa looked at me: "Why is this disturbing you, Alex?" "Don't you know that? I don't want you to get in trouble! You know your mother would explode if she hears that!"
Suddenly Ryan came to us: "Why would she explode? What did you do Marissa?" he asked worried. Marissa rolled my eyes: "This isn't your business! Piss off!" Ryan looked at her angry: "I'm your brother you have to respect me!" She rolled her eyes again: "Whatever!" That pissed me off: "Gee Marissa why are you so bitchy to him?" I took his hand and went out with him.
At Marissa's room (Marissa) (15.30pm)
Georgina sat down at my bed. She seemed a little bit angry: "Your friend Alex is really strange! She rather defended him than you! I don't think that she's a loyal friend!" I shook my hand: "No Alex is loyal … she's right I shouldn't be bitchy to him … but sometimes he really goes on my nerves! … It's her boyfriend! What do you expect?!" Georgina: "It isn't just this! It's …I think she doesn't want us together! She seems a little bit jealous!" I looked at her and laughed: "Jealous? In what way?" Georgina said a little bit angry: "Marissa, stop it you know what I mean! … She's interested in you! Why doesn't she want us holding hands, if she knows that we're a couple?" I sat down next to her and took her hand in mine: "Baby, don't worry Alex is just a good friend! She isn't in love with me! She loves my brother!" Georgina stroked over my cheek: "I hope so!" she said and kissed me. I kissed her back and enjoyed it really. I loved her soft lips touching mine. We lay on my bed and looked at each other. I looked at her and smiled: "Did you really meant that what you said in the kitchen?" Georgina smiled: "What?" "That we're together?" Georgina nodded and stroked a streak behind my ear: "Yeah, if you want it!" "Yes, I do!" I said and kissed her again. I felt cared in her arms and that felt really well. "You're really sweet, baby!" she said and smiled at me. I blushed: "I'm not!" "Of course you are! I love your smile and particularly when you get dimples!" I turned away from her: "Stop it you embarrass me!" She turned me to her and smiled cheekily: "What do you think I'm trying to do?" "You're such a bad ass!" I said and slapped her on her ass. "Uhh I like that! You can always spank me!" I laughed: "Oh my god stop it you're really perverse!" Georgina grinned: "Only when I'm with you! You make me horny!" she said and laughed out loud. I blushed even more: "Geee, Georginaa!" Georgi laughed: "What? I'm just joking, Hun!"
At Ryan's Room (Alex)
Ryan looked at me seriously: "Alex, I have to talk to you!" Oh damn, this sounded bad. I didn't want such a conversation now. He would ask me what happened to our relationship and I couldn't say why it doesn't work. He's a really great guy and I like him very much but if I'm honest I'm not in love with him anymore. I don't know what I shall do; I mean he was always nice to me even if I get bitchy or mad. He was always there for me and held me down. I looked at him and nodded. "It's weird baby, you always avoid me and we didn't see each other for a while! Did I do anything?" I shook my head. What should I do, I really didn't want to hurt him, but I had to say it to him. "Ryan, look you're such a great person and I really love the way you are! We had an amazing time with each other! …" Ryan got sad: "But yet?" I groaned: "But yet … I'm not sure if I could do this anymore! I don't want to lie on you or me!" Ryan avoided my look: "You mean we're dunzo?" I looked at him sadly: "I'm sorry honey!" I noticed that tears fall down on his bed and tears appeared on my face. "Ryan…!" I said sadly and hugged him. Ryan didn't hug me back he distanced himself from me: "Alex, could you please go?" he not looked at me. That really hurt me and I stood up and went out of the room. I cursed when I noticed that I took Marissa's car to bring her at home. I had to walk 25 minutes to school from here. I wiped my tears away and went to Marissa's room and knocked on the door. I heard a noise and Marissa opened the door. Her hair was rumpled and her lip gloss was smudgy. She saw my sad face and closed the door behind her. "Alex what happened, are you ok?" I gazed at her and she seemed so happy and she had someone to be happy with. I shook my head: "No everything's alright! I just wanted to say goodbye!" I gave her a kiss on her cheek and went to the stairs. Marissa ran to me and held me. "Alex, you cried!" she said worried. "Did he hurt you? I'll go kick his ass!" she said angry and wanted to go to Ryan's room. I held her: "No I hurt him!" I whispered and tears ran down my cheeks. Marissa was confused: "What? Why?" I couldn't tell her because I didn't know myself why I wasn't in love with him anymore. "I have to go now! " Marissa wanted to stop me again: "Please, go out of my way!" I shouted. Marissa went aside she looked shocked. I never talked with her like that. I had to go I didn't want her to see me cry. I didn't want anyone to see me cry. So I went upstairs washed my face and ran back to school to took my car.
At Marissa's room (16pm)
I went again to my room and Georgina said curious looking on my bed. "What happened, Hun? Why did she shout at you?" I was lost in thoughts and I worried for her that I didn't heard her. What was going on? Everyone became strange. Me too! But, why Alex? Why did she hurt Ryan? Is she in love with this crazy brunette? I hate her she is so weird! Did they break up? I should look after him. Suddenly I felt two hands on my shoulders pulling me to the bed. Then I looked in Georgina's face: "Honey, what happened?!" she said worried. "I think my brother and Alex are dunzo! But I don't know why she would do that! I mean they were really happy together! I saw Georgina's face changing. I knew what her look meant. I shook my head: "No, Georgi! You weren't right she is NOT in love with me! You haven't a reason to be jealous!" Georgina: "Damn, baby, don't be so gullible! She had argued with me and then she went to him to tell him that she doesn't want to be together with him anymore! It's so obvious that she's into you!" "Damn, Georgi, it's not the time to be jealous! I really worry about her! She's my best friend and I love her! … I mean I love her… as a sister!" Georgi looked at me and saw that I blushed. She looked at me shocked: "Why are you got blushed? Are you kidding me? You're in love with her! You just want to use me! Because you don't know what you want!" She went out of the room. At first I was so shocked that I couldn't follow her but then I ran to her. "Georgi, wait! Please! Georgina!" I cherished her: "Baby, what are you talking? I'm in love with you! I would never use you? Damn! What are you thinking of me?!" I saw tears appearing on her cheeks. I hugged her. "Hey what's wrong?" "I'm afraid of losing you! We met yesterday and you start to ignore me just because of your best friend which broke up with your brother! …Marissa I am really in love with you and …" She was so sweet and I couldn't see her cry so I pulled her closer to me and kissed her. "You haven't to be afraid! I'm yours!" I whispered and pulled her back to my room.
At the bait shop (19pm) (Alex)
I went early to the Bait shop to prepare everything for the evening. My eyes were swollen because of crying and I looked terrible. I took two ice bags from the fridge and put them on my eyes. Kyle came in and looked at me: "Hey Ice Queen what are you doing?" as I looked at him his smile disappeared. "Hey Al, what happened?" he said worried and came to me. Tears wanted to come again but I stopped them. "I broke up with Ryan!" I said sadly. Kyle hugged me. "Sweetie, I could acquire the club for today! If you want! You better go home and sleep!" I shook my head: "No I can't! That's my club and I have to accept responsibility!" Kyle wanted to contradict but I avoided him: "No Kyle! Please stop it! I can't! I have to work! It makes me feel better!" Kyle nodded and went to the storage to bring some boxes of drinks.
I went on preparing the club and cleaned the tables again and brought snacks to each table.
An hour later
The club became full and I had lots of work to do. I was really glad about that because it helped me to forget about my issues at least for 3 hours. I hate that I just am allowed to work until 22 o'clock at the week. If my parents wouldn't avoid me I would come out of school and work. I love my club. It's sometimes hard but I really love it here. My parents tell me that I should become something better than a club owner. They always say that I should be good at school to get a better club maybe a club at L.A! But I'm glad with my Bait Shop! They just think of money sometimes I hate their superficial thoughts!
Suddenly someone took my hand and kissed it. "Hey Beautiful! I hope you think about me!" I heard a familiar voice saying. Of course I knew how it was. That could only be Jody! I grinned at her:"You're really crazy! Do you know that?" Jody grinned at me cheekily: "Yeah, I know! And I see you like that!" I had to laugh: "Don't be that sure about that!" She grinned: "You hurt my feeling! Nooooot!" "Oh that's a pity! I would love to do that!" I said cheekily. Jody beat me softly: "You're so beastly!" Kyle came to us and grinned: "Hey Jody! I'm glad you're here! You have to be ready in 5 minutes!" I was a little bit disappointed. She noticed that: "Hey what is?!" I shook my head: "Nothing!" I couldn't say that I was disappointed because I thought that she was here to see me not Kyle. That would be embarrassing! Jody gazed at me: "Oh, don't be jealous of Kyle! He's just a friend! I like you!" she said with a sexy smile. I blushed and began to stutter: "Wwhat? No, I'm not jealous!" Damn, am I that easy to see through? Jody grinned: "Yeah, of course not! … I have a surprise for you!" Kyle grinned at her: "Come on Jody! You have to change you're clothes!" I looked at them both confused. Jody laughed: "You look so sweet when you're confused! Don't worry you'll see soon!" Them both left and let me alone at the bar. I went on sell drinks on the glass and my disappointment grew.
5 minutes later I saw that the band stopped and was shocked. What the hell are they doing! They stopped in mid-singing. I looked to them and the people began to be uneasily. Kyle came on the stage and took a microphone. "Hey guys, today we have a guest singer! She's not famous but her voice will overwhelm you! Please put your hands together for Jody Sanchez!" The crowd put their hands together and Jody came in a wonderful dress on the stage. She really looked amazing. She smiled at the crowd: "Thanks guys, you're really nice! This is my first performance in front of such a big crowd! So don't mind if I make a mistake!" The crowd laughed but then they got quiet to hear her voice. I looked at her curious and then she began to sing. Her voice was so amazing. I never heard a better voice before. Kyle came and acquired the bar that I could listen to her and went more near to her. I went near to the stage and she looked in my eyes while singing. I didn't know what improved me more her voice or her amazing looking but I felt that my heart began to beat and that wasn't because of the beat. My heart melted than she began to sing: "Te quiero! Te quiero!" Her voice was amazing and I began to love Spanish music.
After her performance she had to struggle to come to me. I smiled at her and my whole body began to shake than she stood close to me. "You were amazing!" I said staring at her. She smiled at me sexy: "Thanks! I was afraid it wouldn't take pleasure to you!" I shook my head: "How could you think that? You have a beautiful voice! I really loved your performance!" Jody blushed. I couldn't believe it! This really self confident girl blushed because of my statement! Jody hugged me: "Thank you!" she whispered in my ear and Goosebumps appeared on my skin. Jody looked at me: "Are you cold?" she asked me and this time I blushed and shook my head: "No! Your voice made me goose bumps!" I said and that was just half a lie.
