I wanted to address something that was brought to my attention. Sometimes I mention the fairies walking and someone pointed out that the fairies don't actually walk, they float. Well, I imagine in Fairy World, they can walk if they want to, just like they can drive cars. The great thing about fiction is you can make it whatever you want. :)

"Wanda?!" Cosmo continued to yell through the halls of the hospital.

"Sir," a lady wearing a nurses uniform approached him "I'm going to have to ask you to stop yelling. You're disrupting the patients."

"Well, I'm looking for my girlfriend. She's in room 310." He huffed

"Follow me. I'm going there now." The nurse said and Cosmo followed her.

"Is she okay? What happened? How long will she be here? Please tell me she's okay. WHY AREN'T YOU ANSWERING ME?" Cosmo said to the nurse, frantically flailing his arms about as he floated behind her.

The nurse turned around and gave him an irritated look.

"You're going to need to calm down and stop shouting, if you want to see your girlfriend." She said, placing her hands on her hips.

"But-" the nurse held up her hand.

"I don't know any of the answers to your questions. But I'm certain Dr. Wynters will."

The two fairies continued on in silence. Fear plagued Cosmo's mind as he thought of all the things that could have happened to Wanda, to put her here.

Just then, they stopped in front of a large wooden door. The nurse picked up the chart hanging by the door and examined the papers. She then turned to Cosmo and eyed him nervously.

"Sir, you can come in on one condition..."

"What?" His eyes went wide

"You need to remain calm and don't panic. Don't yell and please don't start asking a million questions." She said warily.

"Okay." Cosmo gulped. All this anticipation was really working his nerves.

The nurse opened the door and escorted the green haired fairy inside. She went over to Wanda and began checking her vitals. Cosmo's lip quivered when he saw her laying there with an IV and a heart monitor.

"Cosmo," He jumped slightly when he felt a hand on his shoulder. He turned and saw Fleur standing beside him.

"W-what h-happened?" His voice was wavering.

"I don't know," Fleur began quietly. "Emmett and I were going to the park and saw Wanda at your house. She looked like she was in pain, and when I went to see if she was okay, she fell to the ground and passed out, and I brought her here..." she trailed off and looked away.

"Her vitals look good." The nurse said turning to face the two fairies standing behind her.

"Dr. Wynters will be in shortly." Then she left the room.

Cosmo went over to the hospital bed and observed Wanda, before sitting in the chair next to the bed and taking hold of her hand. Fleur stayed back giving them space and after what felt like an eternity of silence, a soft knock was heard.

"Hello," the door opened and in came the doctor. "I'm Dr. Wynters."

"Hi, Doctor. I'm Fleur and that's Cosmo." She said pointing to the green haired fairy sitting in the chair.

Dr. Wynters floated over to the bed and looked at the chart. When he turned the page, he brought his eyes up to look at Cosmo.

"So, Cosmo," Cosmo looked over to the doctor, who had a serious expression. "I assume you're the father?"

Fleur gasped in mild shock and Cosmo gave him a confused look.

"What?" He knitted his brows together. "I'm her boyfriend, not her father." He said matter-of-factly

"No, I meant-" There was a bang on the door

Before Dr. Wynters could float over to it to see who it was, Big Daddy opened the door and came inside the room. His anger deepened when he saw his daughter laying in the bed with Cosmo next to her.

"YOU" he growled and Cosmo quickly went to the other side of the bed. "What did you do to my daughter?"

"Excuse me," Dr. Wynters blocked Big Daddy from coming into the room any further "Who are you?"

"I'm Wanda's father! And that idiot put her here, didn't he?" Big Daddy lurched forward and Cosmo backed into the corner in fear.

"Sir, I'm going to have to ask you to calm down or leave."

Big Daddy was taken aback. Nobody talks to Big Daddy that way. But when his eyes fell on Wanda, he softened, just slightly.

"What happened to her?" He asked, shooting a dirty look at Cosmo.

"She fainted." He said simply. "Her vitals are good. But-" He was cut off again by someone else entering the room.

"Cosmo!" Mama Cosma floated in with Emmett following behind her. "Oh, my dear boy. What are you going here?" She asked her son, who was still hovering like a coward in the corner.

"Wanda needed me and-"

"She doesn't need you!" Big Daddy growled.

"Don't talk to my son like that!" Mama Cosma said defensively.

"Well, I thought we agreed that your son would stay away from my daughter!"

Suddenly everyone in the room froze and Dr. Wynters went over to the bed. Wanda opened her eyes and sat up slightly and winced.

"Wha-What happened?" She asked looking around at everyone in the room.

"You fainted and your friend" he motioned to Fleur "brought you here."

Wanda looked over at Fleur and smiled in gratitude. But another sharp pain sprang through her mid section and she hunched over and cried as it intensified.

"Wanda?" Cosmo asked timidly and went over to the bed cautiously, eyeing Big Daddy in fear.

"What's wrong with her?" Big Daddy asked, still giving Cosmo a dirty look.

"I'm sorry," Dr. Wynters said to Wanda before turning to face everyone else in the room. "We did everything we could, but I'm afraid we can't stop it."

"Stop what?" Mama Cosma asked, almost in concern for the girl.

"I'm afraid she's suffering a miscarriage."

Fleur and Emmett gasped. Mama Cosma fainted. Big Daddy turned his hands into fists as murder was evident in his eyes. And Cosmo stared blankly.

Everyone froze...

Okay guys. I warned you in the beginning that this was going to be a heavy story. It's not over yet. I will be posting chapter 11 soon.
