The heroes looked at the gigantic bot that came from the ground. This one was a bit more humanoid in shape than the other robots they had encountered until now and much, much bigger.

Now it had stopped moving Violet thought it was at least 150 feet tall, almost three times taller than Syndrome´s Omnidroid.

Like the rest of the Underminer´s contraptions it was made completely of rusty, dirty metal. A square-shaped "head" placed over broad shoulders, as long as three school buses, that held gigantic arms and standing over equally enormous legs.

From the center of its chest a platform emerged, from which the Underminer overlooked the city.

-Now witness the power of my personal Gilgenbot- he bellowed –As I destroy your so-called supers! And I, the Underminer will come down on all of you!-

Mr. Incredible and Frozone got back up and faced the villain, looking up –It´s over Underminer! - Bob exclaimed.

-Pretty much! - Frozone agreed.

The Underminer however, didn´t seem willing to monolog -Enough of this! - He exclaimed while the Gilgenbot bent downwards and using its gigantic hands ripped of the piece of street in which the two supers where standing. –DIE!-

-Bob! - Elastigirl screamed, reaching for her husband.

-Don't worry sweetie- Mr. Incredible yelled back down -We´ve got this! Just get to the roof and back us up from there!-

The piece of street shook as the Underminer brought it to level with the robots chest.

-WHOA! - Mr. Incredible exclaimed losing balance –I had forgotten about this robot! - He joked.

Frozone however, wasn´t as confident –I´ve got a feeling we´re going to wish we could!-

As soon as the robot engaged the supers Elastigirl and the Skylark disappeared into the nearest building and rushed to the roof while Dash and Invisigirl prepared to once again form the Incredi-Ball. Maybe they wouldn´t be able to do much damage but they sure as hell wouldn´t just stand by.

With both brothers in place Dash began picking up speed but was stopped by Duncan placing his ham-sized hand in front of the purple sphere.

-Wait- He told them.

Meanwhile Merida and Helen had reached the rooftop and were almost at the same level as Bob and Frozone, who were obviously in trouble.

They were fighting through hordes of robots that the Underminer commanded from his Gilgenbot, still confined in the chunk of street the brute had taken.

-Watch out! - Frozone exclaimed freezing a bot just in time to stop it from hitting Mr. Incredible.

-Thanks! - The muscular super answered and picking up the frozen robot with a grunt, threw it towards the Gilgenbot where it shattered into a million pieces without having any effect on the metallic Behemoth.

A few dozen yards away the female supers were doing their best, to no avail.

While Helen used her arms as slingshots to fire anything she could find Merida had almost emptied her quiver firing arrow after arrow of every kind.

When even the last arrow had abandoned her bowstring Merida became very tense with frustration –Ae have shot everything Ae have at that brute! Even mae explosive arrows! Et´s bigger than a cuillin, how are we supposed tae stop et?-

Little did she know that it was exactly the same matter that Dash, Violet and the other Highland Heroes were discussing several dozen feet under them.

-So? Are you sure this is going to work? - Dash asked, still looking at his friends through a thin, purple, energy veil.

-We are certain of nothing, but et is our only chance- Artair replied crossing his arms over his chest and looking at Violet and Dash sternly.

Brother and sister looked at each other and then back at their friends –How much time do you need? - The speedster asked.

-As much as ye can get us- Andhra answered.

They didn´t spoke another word and went their separate ways. The Highland Heroes to find a rooftop where they could remain hidden to the Gilgenbot and Dash and Violet to gather speed so they could at least distract it long enough for their friends to use their plan.

Now Frozone and Mr. Incredible had apparently destroyed the last of the Underminer´s robots and could almost breathe out in relief, surrounded by metallic chunks and useless apparatus.

But the Underminer wouldn´t quit, with amazing speed he pressed some buttons, pulled several levers and the platform in which he was standing began to change, it became a robot unlike the others Lucius and Bob had seen so far.

It separated itself from the rest of the Gilgenbot and attacked the heroes on its own. The robot itself looked a bit like a cart that moved on twin crawlers with two arms that were far too big for it and shining red hot.

-Oh no- Lucius complained as the machine chased them around the chunk of street, trying to crush them.

-Well- Bob said –At least this can´t get any…-

-Don´t say it! - Frozone warned.

Just as Mr. Incredible finished uttering the word "worse" several heavy raindrops began falling from dark clouds that had seemingly appeared from nowhere.

-You had to say it, didn´t you?- Frozone said while doing a facepalm, completely unaware that right behind the Gilgenbot the Highland Heroes were holding hands and focusing; with their eyes softly closed and theirs chins up towards the sky, facing the robot.

The rain soon became as thunderstorm, several bolts of lightning fell right next to the heroes or actually hit them but they remained unfazed. Artair´s blue war paint was shining brighter than usual as the blue electricity field around the three of them grew, and grew, piercing the darkness of the night. They were gathering energy for... something.

-What´s this? - The Underminer asked jumping back into his Gilgenbot, the robot quickly becoming a cabin again. He turned the robot around and saw the Highlanders –I am sick of your tricks!-

The Gilgenbot raised a massive fist and prepared to bring it down on them but out of the street the Incredi-ball appeared, hitting the robot in the knee joint and causing it to trip a little.

-Take that you lousy mole-man! - Dash laughed still running and getting ready for another attack, he leaped at the Gilgenbot but this time it was ready.

Dropping the piece of street it had been holding do far, the robot caught the Incredi-ball in its palm and slowly began crushing it. Violets force-field began to break.

Helen watched, powerless and horrified –Whatever your friends are doing, they have to do it now! - She yelled at the redhead.

The Highland Heroes knew this as well, they were almost done, only a few more seconds. The blue lighting sphere that surrounded the three of them was now almost as wide as the rooftop and was destroying the concrete under their feet and melting anything metallic it came in contact with.

Violet wouldn´t hold much longer and she knew it, she was struggling with all she was worth, her nose began bleeding softly out of effort. But it didn´t matter how much her brother encouraged her, the field was cracking, a few more seconds and they would be squeezed to death.

-NOW! - Helen yelled; her voice a whisper over the mechanical buzzing of the Gilgenbot and the roar of thunder and rain.

If the Highlanders heard her she never found out but just at that same instant an enormous bolt of magic lighting shot from the sphere that surrounded them and hit the Gilgenbot straight in the chest.

The behemoth dropped the Incredi-ball and began convulsing wildly, the blue electricity running through it until it stopped, remained still for a few seconds and exploded in a fiery ball of metal and concrete.

The rain stopped as suddenly as it began and the supers, all of them battered, bruised and dirty walked towards what remained of Metroville stadium. There were no people around to cheer for them this late at night and after so much danger but truth be told, it had been a hard fought victory and they deserved the rest.
