I'm sorry this isn't an update, not really. It's just a note to say the story is not abandoned, if you go and check my tumblr there's a full explanation of everything there (link is on my profile). I can't apologise enough for keeping y'all waiting, all I can say is that unfortunately life is sorta out of my control. I hope to have this story back in full swing very, very soon – but until then – here's a little sneak peek of the next chapter.
'Come on, Gin, it's time to go,'
The little girl didn't move.
'Gin? Sweetie, we gotta go – it's time,' her mother bent down and put a gentle hand on her knee 'Don't you want to say goodbye?'
She shook her head.
'Honey, I know it's hard right now – but I promise you you'll regret it your whole life if you don't come. Besides, he'd have wanted it,'
'No he wouldn't,' she shook her head violently 'He would have wanted to be here with me. This wasn't what he wanted,'
'Gin, you're coming. I know you don't want to right now but you'll thank me one day, I promise,'
She screamed as her mother picked her up and carried her out to the car but there was nothing she could do.
Once they were there she tried to run away again but Angela kept a firm grip of her hand, so instead she just kept her eyes fixed on the floor and fiddled with the hem of her black dress.
They had to wait in a queue for a while but once they reached the end she saw it – the coffin – and she tugged on her mother's hand. She didn't want to be there, she didn't want to see this.
Angela bent and picked her up and the redhead started to shake her head violently 'No. Momma, no. No, Momma, please I don't want to. Mommy, I don't want to. No! No, Tony!'
