"Why did you doubt them?" Danella questioned as the men stood up. "Never doubt a woman and her word. Nat said she would have you on your ass and she did just that."
"Why the hell did you call him? Him of all people?" Tony said as he wiped the dirt off his clothes, "You want their help," he said motioning towards the Fantastic Four, "Fine. I'll deal. But why the hell did you have to call them?"
"You think you have right to question me? You refused to help me from the start." Taking a deep breath, trying to calm down, "A few of them can help. Or have you forgotten?"
"How could I forget the men that wanted to take my daughter from me?" He growled.
Rolling her eyes, "You sent me there in the first place. Thought it would be good for me to be around more people, or at least that was your excuse."
"I was trying to keep you safe!"
"A fat lot of good that did! I was still found there! My friends were hurt trying to protect me!"
No one in the room knew who they were talking about, unless you count Jarvis. Not knowing who they were going on about was causing Thor to become even more annoyed, "Who are you talking about?"
"I have friends. Friends outside the Avengers and our Allies. My father had sent me to a school with gifted people. The headmaster had taken me under his wing. Became a very close friend and a mentor. And one of the teachers, he became very close friend. Someone who I can really count on." Danella said, glaring at her father.
"You have my help. You don't need them!"
"Bullshit. There are over two hundred vampires after me. We need their help. Why you feel threatened by them, I will never understand." She argued with her father.
"Who are you talking about?" Thor asked again.
"My father monitored the call I made. The man I called, he is my old mentor, Charles Xavier. He is willing to send assistance and he is allowing me to use a machine of his to try and find my sister."
Glaring even harder, hoping it wasn't going to be who he thought, "Who is being sent? Munroe? LeBeau? McCoy?"
"Logan. And who ever he decides that he can spare. There is a small chance that those vampires found out about my past and that I went to that school." Danella answered with a shrug. "If they did, I want the kids to be protected."
Before Tony could argue about the Wolverine, Natasha spoke up. "Wait. Logan? As in the Wolverine?" Realization crossed her face. "That was you! It was suppose to be one of my missions but it was canceled without reason."
A guilty smile appeared on her face, "yeah." Rubbing her face, "Fury was going to send you, but Charles would have know why you were there before you even set foot on those grounds. I heard him talking to Hill about a backup plan on gaining access to the grounds. I didn't want anything to happen to my other family," She ignored the glare from her father, "and all the kids-"
"Like John." Tony added.
Growling at her dad, "Would you rather I call rather call Mr. Wayne."
"Fine! You have us, the ticks over there, your Asgardian buddies and a few X Men! Anybody else you wanna add!" Tony snapped, refusing to work with Bruce Wayne.
Everyone was deathly silent, not wanting to set the Stark's off again.
As the silence grew uncomfortable, Jasper managed to gather the courage to speak up, "I have a few men who could help. Peter, my captain, he has experience with newborns as well. And an old friend of ours, Garrett, he's always up for a good fight."
Rose added quietly, "the mutts..."
"What was that Blondie?" Tony questioned.
"The mutts." She said again. "You know the dogs that found your daughter back in Forks. They're shape-shifters and it's in their blood to hunt for vampires. They might be able to help if Bella asks them."
Throwing his hands in the air, "great. Even more freaks to add to our show." Turning back to his daughter, "you keep really weird company."
"They're not the weirdest. In a few years, there's gonna be a man that does whatever the hell he wants. And he's obsessed with a disgusting burrito." With a small smile she shot back, "And, what do you expect? I'm a Stark." Crossing her arms, "We good?"
"Ask me again after we deal with the army." Rubbing his face, looking at the vampires then to Cap. "The vampires don't stand much of a chance against Thor, Ma-"He would have finished the insult but the glare his daughter was giving him stopped him. "Johnny, and a young boy similar to you, Storm, and Ellie can all handle the vampires."
"What other weaknesses does your kind have?" Steve took over.
"Other vampires. A bite stings like hell and other than another vampire, only the wolves are strong enough to tear apart a newborn." Jasper answered. "The wolves I don't know if-"
"The treaty!" Emmett yelled out.
Danella's eyes widened. "Right. It was already broken. The day at the studio, he bit me."
"What?" Tony questioned.
Waving her hand at her dad, "shh." Looking at Em and Rose, "It specifically forbade you from biting a human?" When they nodded, Danella had a smile on her face, "Then they should be able to help. Not only did they bite me, they are turning innocent people into vampires."
"What about me?" Rose asked, the others thought she was being selfish, but she elaborated, "I, I had to find them humans and turn them myself... I-"
Cutting her off, holding up her hands, "Loop hole. Edward bit me first. You had no choice. Either you find them soldiers or you and Jasper and Emmett die."
"Back on topic, what else do we have to worry about?" Steve questioned.
"Some vampires have extra gifts." Danella motioned to Jasper, "He can feel and control emotions. Alice can see the future to a certain degree. Edward can read minds. Except mine, and I am sure that he can't read the minds of my fellow Asgardians."
"Victoria has some ability of being able to escape." Jasper said, "And we have no idea how many of the newborns have a gift of their own."
"Fantastic.." Danella mumbled, rubbing her forehead. "Jarvis, have you found an area that we can use to train?"
"Yes ma'am, I have. Might I suggest the the Marine Corp Base or Edwards Air Force Base, Colonel Rhodes may be able to help. If not there is a fairly secluded area deep in the Los Pardes National Forest."
Nodding her head at no one in particular. "Call Rhody please. If we are able to train at the base, I will accompany you all before I go to the School."
To Edward and Alice
Edward and Alice were following submissively behind Angelique. They did not understand how they did not connect 'Angela' to Bella. They both smelled similar, they may have looked different, but scent never lied. Angela Webber was Bella's twin sister.
"If either of you dare mess this up, I will surely tell the master and make sure that you will never see Danella, let alone touch her." Angelique snapped as a newborn placed cuffs around her wrists. Glaring at Alice, "You, little one, are you able to see if this plan will work?"
Alice' face scrunched up in concentration, "It's hazy. All I can see is that after their mission will should have at least two of them hostage."
Growling at the two of them, they were highly worthless in her eyes, but if the bigger plan were to work, they were going to be needed. "You are both lucky. If your sister truly knew every detail, this entire operation would be jeopardized." Just as another one of the newborns was about to place the bag over her head she warned them one last time. "If this fails in anyway, the Avengers will be the least of your worries. And be sure that you send the spy AFTER this operation."
The next Day
Rhody had said that he did manage to clear them, so they were now at Edwards Air Force Air Base. The trip had annoyed Danella to the point she wanted to jump out of the plane mid-flight. Clint and Natasha were safely tucked away in the cockpit, but she still had to deal with mocking between Johnny, her dad and Loki. Her two female friends made some sort of bond and were sitting quietly in the back. Thor, Ben and Bruce all seemed to be unable to find a comfy way to sit. Volstagg and Fandral where talking loudly, watching the clouds as they flew, Hogun sat quietly watching the vampires sitting awkwardly, fidgeting. Reed, was oblivious to everyone, he was busy trying to find her sister on his laptop.
Rubbing her back, she swore that she was never, ever going to fly with all of them again. She should have aloud the Fantastic Four take their Hemi instead of insisting with her father that taking his jet would be faster. Glaring at everyone, all gathered in the carrier as the jet was refueled so she could make the trip to the East coast. "I trust that you will all be fine for a day."
"Where can I set up-" Reed was asking where set up his computers but was cut off be Tony.
"You can follow me. You guys too." He said, motioning towards Bruce and Ben. "The two of you may be able to help."
Nodding at her father, "Johnny, you, Loki, Clint and I will all be going to the school." When her family was about to argue again, she cut them all off and explained her choice. "I need a pilot, and I will not be having my dad and Johnny getting into fights while I'm gone. Dad, you need to try and locate my sister. Plus, Johnny may be able to help me with John.(Referring to Pyro.) And I wish to speak with my brother. I want to try and a way to counter any gift that the newborns may have."
Her father didn't say anything and just walked to the back of the carrier. Reed rolled his eyes, looked and Johnny, silently asking him if he would be okay. When Johnny nodded, Ben and Reed went and followed Tony, Bruce, walking silently behind them.
Danella turned to the vampires, "I can trust that you will be able to train them while I'm gone. If you have any trouble, just ask for Colonel Rhodes, tell him what's wrong and he'll either call me or deal with the issue himself."
Fandral, the cocky little fucker, slapped Jasper on the back. "Come on, Creature. Let's spar."
Jasper was taken aback with his forwardness, and the lack of pain the Asgardian felt from slapping his back. "How..."
Thor slapped Jasper on the back too, this time, Jasper jerked forward, wincing in pain. "We Asgardians are stronger then mere mortals. Even those turned into creatures like yourself."
Rolling her eyes, muttering under her breath, not caring if the vampires heard her, "men."
Kay, I know it's been longer than forever.
But let me know what you think.
As an apology I'll give you all a couple few lines from the next chapter.
"Ella... Listen to me.. They've been taken hostage."
"You had a friend, a sickly child. That little boy, is the same man. My friend."
"She's ruining everything! You will kill her! Torch her, take her head! Prove to me that she will no longer be a problem!"
"How is that possible? I'm being pulled in two different directions..."
I'm sorry for taking so long.
Let me know what you think.
Auggie Frank.
