A/N: I really, really hate this ending, but I can't bring myself to delete it. Instead, I'll have one more chapter where I'll put in the new ending. Hopefully you guys will like it.

Even though the third season of Total Drama was over, Noah still found himself in a chair by the pool listening to obnoxiously loud teenagers. He didn't see any reason of why he should still be there on that island. Chris tried to explain to him that there was a chance that Noah could be in the fifth season (which made Noah snort much to Chris's annoyance). Chris eventually told him the truth that he was obligated to stay due to the contract.

Noah smirked at that memory. I'm surprised that there was even a fourth season given that the network is tired of Chris's shit.

He closed his eyes and began to not feel the sun's radiance as much as before. Opening one eye, he found that Owen was standing right above him. What do you want, Owen?"

"Hey, Noah, buddy," Owen said cheekily. "Izzy and I were going to look for the fairies in the woods."

Noah scoffed. "Fairies? Really?"

Owen nodded enthusiastically. "Yeah, according to Izzy, this is usually the time when they appear. And I noticed that you were all alone, and I couldn't leave my buddy all alone now, could I? Anyway, you want to come with?"

Should I do this bluntly or nicely? I can do both. "Yeah, um, spending a whole day with Ms Crazy isn't really at the top of my list right now." I can't do both.

"Come on, Noah. You haven't really been doing anything lately except sitting on that chair. You've got to do something."

"You're right." He got out of his chair and walked away.

"Hey," Owen yelled. "Where are you going?"

Rubbing his eyes, Noah felt himself straining his eyes in order to read the words in front of him. Though the bar was his haven, it did have its downsides like its dim lights. He tried to convince the bartender to turn on the lights, but he would pretend not to hear Noah whenever he asked. Sighing, he put his book down deciding to give his eyes a rest. That's when he heard her voice.

"...whatever the strongest drink is."

"I've thought about it. I was wrong. What happened... I shouldn't have let it ruin our friendship. I've missed you so much."

Courtney paused for a moment as if contemplating something really important before saying, "I think that I might love you."

He laughed. I sincerely doubt it. "I think you're just lonely and drunk."

"No. I'm serious." She stood to show how serious she was, but when she realized she couldn't stand up straight without swaying, she sat back down. "I know that our situation is fucked up, and I know that I act like I'm over you, but I don't think that I ever was."

He was silent after that. "Get some sleep."

"Will you stay with me?"

"Courtney..."

"I can barely walk."

He laughed at that. "Tequila will do that to you."

"God, this was a horrible decision. Why did I ever decide to do this?"

"Huh, a sad drunk. Interesting."

"What?"

"I always thought you would be a happy drunk."

"Well, maybe you don't know me as well as you think."

Maybe not. But I'd like to.

They talked for hours before Courtney fell asleep. However, instead of joining her, he decided to go out to the balcony and think. While they were a lot of things that they talked about the one thing that stuck to Noah was when she said she loved him.

Did she really mean it? Or was she just drunk?

He heard Courtney stir.

Guess I'm about to find out.

"Wait," she said.

He turned around.

"I meant what I said."

He swore that his heart fluttered when she said those words. "I love you too."

I still have a shot.

END OF NOAH'S STORY

Noah put his drink down gently this time. "And you know the rest. I thought it was because she didn't really mean what she said. But now I know the truth. And it makes me feel even worse. She went through a big thing like that by herself because she thought that she couldn't trust anyone. She was in a bad place, and I could've helped her. Hell, anyone could've helped her. Goddammit, I should've helped her!" He raised his empty glass before throwing it against the wall. The shattered pieces fell to the ground. Shattered like his heart.

Bridgette was silent for a moment. "So what now?"

Noah sat back down. "First things first. I gotta ask Chris where the baby is. I might not have known about the baby or wanted anything like this, but the baby's still mine."

She put a hand on Noah's shoulder and rubbed it gently. "Don't worry. I think the finale is almost over. Chris should be back soon."

Suddenly, they heard footsteps and saw Geoff running towards them.

"Guys," Geoff said. "Did you hear? Chris got arrested!"

Noah groaned. "Life can't give me a break? Just this once," he said before walking away.

Geoff watched Noah leave before sitting down next to Bridgette. "Hey babe," he said. "How are you doing?"

She looked down before looking up at him. "My best friend has left this world forever. I just can't believe she's gone forever." She leaned into Geoff and cried. Before she had to look nonchalant in front of the six people. Now though, she could finally do the proper thing and mourn after her friend.

Heather walked out into the sunlight and saw Alejandro walking towards her. Before, she loved the idea that she could make guys fall for her. It's what was needed if she ever wanted to be popular again. But now, the desire for it didn't feel as strong as before. She looked at Alejandro again and walked right past him. She could figure out that part of her life later. Right now, there was something more important that she had to take care of.

She walked straight to Lindsay, who was currently tanning by the pool. When Lindsay noticed someone was blocking her sun, she took off her glasses and looked up to face Heather. Lindsay glared at her and crossed her arms waiting for Heather to say whatever she had to say. Taking in a deep breath, Heather tried to muster the courage to say the words that she owed a lot of people.

"Lindsay, I'm really sorry."

Lindsay stared at her a little longer before dropping her arms. She stood up and hugged Heather.

"That's all that I've wanted you to say," Lindsay said. She grabbed Heather's arm. "Come on, let's talk about your thing with Alejandro."

"What thing? There's no thing."

Lindsay rolled her eyes. So naive.

Gwen walked over to Trent. She had a lot of time to think things over, and she finally saw what everybody was trying to tell her. Why do I always need people to feel sorry for me? What happened to my I don't give a shit attitude? Why should I care about what other people think of me?

"Trent," she said. "I've realized something. I didn't want to be with you anymore. I was kind of just always looking for an excuse to break up with you. It was stupid. I don't know why I couldn't just tell you that I didn't like you that way anymore. I don't know why I felt like I had to make you look like a bad person. That I had to escape from this relationship. And the worst part was that during all of that, I've never thought about how it could've affected you."

She looked at Trent waiting for a reply but got nothing.

"Look the bottom line is that I'm sorry okay? And I don't care if you don't accept it I just need to say it-"

He hugged her before she could say another word. "Thank you," he said before letting her go and walking away.

Gwen smiled and then heard someone clapping behind her.

"Bravo," said Duncan. "That was some apology."

Gwen rolled her eyes. "Oh grow up." She started to walk away before Duncan pulled her back.

"Gwen," he began. "I'm sorry for always treating you like crap. I'm sorry for always arguing with you. But I'm especially sorry about what I said yesterday. It was shitty of me to say that what I felt for Courtney I couldn't feel for anyone else. The truth was I was trying to sabotage our relationship. I knew that I was falling for you. I knew that I wanted a serious relationship with you. But I was scared. I was scared that you didn't want a serious relationship after what happened with Trent that I decided I'd reject you before you could beat me to it. It was stupid and wrong, but that's why I'm asking for you to forgive me. And I hope that we can be friends again and maybe more later on."

Gwen thought about it. "Well, I don't know about the more part, but I'm definitely down for being friends again. Now come on, let's go hang out with Leshawna."

"Leshawna? It's been a while since you've talked to her."

"I know. And I'm planning to fix it now."

Trent walked in the lobby and noticed Cody sitting by himself. It was long overdue, but he needed to talk to Cody.

"Hey man," said Trent sitting next to Cody.

"Hey," said Cody weakly.

"You want to talk about it?"

"Talk about what?"

"Gwen."

Cody looked away. "There's nothing to talk about."

Trent sighed. "Look, I know I wasn't there in person when all these things happened, but I know that Gwen indirectly broke your heart. I also know that nobody was really there to help you get through it. It was more like the opposite. So talk to me about it. I know how it felt so maybe I can help you through it."

Cody sighed. "It's a long story."

"I've got all day."

As soon as the contestants were finally released to go back home, Noah did everything he could to figure out exactly which prison Chris was being held in. Finally reaching a result, Noah took a two hour bus ride and slowly walked towards a cell.

He looked inside and noticed that Chris didn't really look sad. In fact, he looked like he was trying to make his own game show. I always knew he was delusional. Clearing his throat, Chris finally looked up at Noah and smirked.

"So, you ready to find out where your baby girl is?"

Noah couldn't help but smile at that. Courtney, we have a baby girl.

EPILOGUE (5 YEARS LATER)

Heather and Lindsay held hands while staring at the television screen. They could feel the tears coming out of their eyes as they heard the main character announce the death of his wife.

After they left Total Drama, they found out to their surprise that they lived merely ten minutes away from each other. Excited, they spent every moment they could with each other, went to college together, and even rented an apartment together where they could watch all of the reality tv shows, romantic movies, and Hallmark movies as they pleased.

Alejandro and Tyler walked into the room and observed the scene in front of them. Alejandro rolled his eyes while Tyler said, "I don't get it. You would think that after watching A Walk to Remember fifty times that they wouldn't cry over the ending. I mean it's the same thing every single time!"

Gwen knocked on the apartment door waiting for Leshawna to open up. Every week, Owen, Duncan, and her would meet up at Leshawna's apartment to hang out. She didn't wait too long before Owen opened the door and squeezed Gwen with his hug.

"Owen," she said. "Can't breathe."

"Oops," he chuckled before letting go allowing her to gain back her breath. "I'm sorry. I just missed you."

Gwen smiled and rolled her eyes. "It's only been a week."

"I know! A whole seven days!"

She laughed before walking into the apartment and seeing Leshawna in the kitchen.

"Hey, Leshawna!"

"Hey girl," she said walking up to her. She hugged her before whispering into Gwen's ear, "Rumor has it that Duncan's going to ask you out."

"What," said Gwen loudly.

Duncan groaned before walking into the apartment where Gwen and Leshawna were. "Don't ruin the surprise, Leshawna."

He looked at Gwen before giving her a piece of paper.

"What is this," she asked rolling it open.

"I've stayed up all night thinking of a list of things that I promise to do for you if you agree to go out with me. Basically, it's there so that you'll know that I'm keeping my promises. Look, I know the first time around it wasn't that great, but I honestly think that it'll be better now. So I'm just going to chance it. Will you give me another chance?"

"Okay, Trent, you're on in five minutes," said one of the backstage crew.

Trent nodded at the guy before looking himself over once more and then following the guy.

The place that his manager booked for him wasn't that big of a place, but it was okay. Trent was still a beginning artist, but from the looks of his album sells, soon he would be much more than that.

He walked onto the stage smiling at the applause that he was getting. "The first song that I want to sing is dedicated to this girl that I knew. I didn't always listen to her which was my biggest mistake, but I just want her to know now that I've learned from that mistake and that I am a better person now. And it's all thanks to her."

Noah drove up to the preschool where his daughter attended. Natalie, now five years old, was the exact replica of Courtney. Same hair, same nose, same skin color, same eyes, and even the same attitude. The only thing that she got from Noah was his sarcasm.

Getting Natalie back wasn't the hard part. She was illegally put into the adoption agency anyway. The hard part was figuring out what to do after that. Surprisingly, his parents, though angry at first, helped him take care of her while he finished off high school and helped him look for colleges with nearby day care centers.

He smiled as he saw Natalie run over to his car. He loved her so much and never forgot to tell her that.

"Hey daddy," said Natalie. "Who is my mommy? Where is she?"

Noah paused for a little while before helping her into her carseat. He wasn't sure what he was supposed to tell her. How do you let a five year old know that her mother felt so depressed and isolated that she took away her own life and that he was one of the reasons why?

"Well," he said. "Your mom was the most special woman in the world. Daddy loved her very much. And even though we can't see her, I'm sure that she's watching us." That'll have to do for now. The rest of the details will have to wait for another time.

Bridgette walked up to Courtney's tombstone. She lightly traced the carvings on the stone before putting down a red rose.

"You know, it's been five years," she said. "I still can't believe that you're gone." She sighed. "I think you would like to know that you changed their lives. Even though they hurt you, you still helped them live a better life. I just wish someone was like that for you too." She could feel the tears coming. "You'll always be my best friend. No matter what."
