Chapter 9

A/N:

Hey guys, my great friend Big Time Mia gave me an idea for this story so that I could keep making it go on. So yeah, I canceled putting up this story for adoption. Thanks to suitelifeforever9 who wanted to adopt this story, but I'm not putting it up for adoption anymore. Winterschild11, I checked the forum, and maybe I'll use it. And of course, huge shoutout to Big Time Mia for giving me this idea, and for convincing me to write again.

I don't own anything recognizable.

"Clary, are you sure it's okay?" Tony asked. He and Clary, or Tiffany, were walking towards the park to figure out a way to turn the bomb off permanently.

"I'm sure you'll be okay, Tony." Clary assured. "I got you out of the house, now we just need to figure out a way to go home to LA."

Tony seemed confused. "LA? If we're not in LA, then where are we?"

Clary smiled. "We're in-" she suddenly stopped when she heard footsteps behind her and Tony. "I think we're being followed." She whispered.

Tony's eyes widened, and he slowly turned around, so did Clary. The sighed in relief when they saw that the people 'following' them were just a man and his dog. They turned back in front and started walking again.

"Why did you let them go?" Derek asked furiously.

Hawk smirked. "Trust me, Derek. They wouldn't go that far away. The boy knows he has a bomb attached to him. If he even tries to go out of this neighbourhood, BOOM!"

Derek shook his head. "I'm following them. I can't trust that Tiffany girl." He took his keys and the bomb controller and left.

Hawk shook his head. "Paranoid." He muttered before taking a sip of his coffee.

"Clary, what's your plan to go home?" Tony asked, sitting on the swing next to Clary. The park wasn't crowded.

Clary thought for a moment. "I know!" she took out her phone. "I installed my brothers' numbers in here."

"Your brothers?" Tony asked.

Clary nodded. "Yeah. I know Kendall is my only brother, but the rest of them are too. I'm gonna call one of them."

Just as she took out her phone, it went falling to the ground. She stood up and gasped, shocked at the sight in front of her. "Derek?" she gasped.

"I knew you couldn't be trusted." Derek said. Then he turned towards Tony. "You told her, didn't you?"

"Um. I-I… um… N-no." Tony stuttered. To be honest, he wished Hawk was there too, since he was the one who didn't use violence. Or at least stopped Derek whenever he was gonna hurt Tony.

"Tell me, Tiffany. What did Tony tell you?" Derek asked.

Tiffany felt a bit relieved. Derek didn't find out that she was Clary. "Well, Tony said that he gets bored easily, that's all." she lied. Yup, she's a bad liar when she gets nervous.

Derek smirked. "If you're really from London, where's your accent?"

Tiffany's eyes widened, so she quickly made something up. "Well, I'm trying to adjust to talking in American."

The clouds suddenly turned grey, and it started raining. Tiffany gulped. She used washable hair dye, if it rained, she's dead. Probably literally.

"Really?" Derek asked.

"Clary, your hair." Tony whispered.

The rain turned heavy and now all three of them were starting to get wet. Clary's heart began racing, especially after Tony whispered to her. She felt her make-up starting to get washed off her face.

"Wait a minute." Derek mumbled, stepping closer to Tiffany, who stepped back. He laughed menacingly. "Wow, thanks to the rain. I'd never recognize you, Clary."

Clary gulped. Her cover was blown. She slowly intertwined her fingers with Tony's. She shared a glance with him before yelling out, "RUN!" and taking off with him.

"Clary, it's not a good idea!" Tony said, still running with Clary.

"Why not?" Clary asked.

"The bomb!" Tony said.

They stopped running instantly and shared worried looks at each other. Clary looked at Tony's watch and back to Tony. "Tony," she started to cry a little. "your bomb's starting to…" she trailed off.

Tony looked down and then back to Clary. "Derek made it going to explode soon. He didn't set a timer."

"How many seconds?" Clary asked.

Tony looked down again. "22 seconds left. Please run, Clary."

Clary shook her head. "No. I'm tired of all this. Take off the watch and put it on my arm. Let me die instead. I never wanted this life, so let me end it."

"I can't. I won't. I won't give it to you even if I can take it off. Don't think like this, Clary. You're only thirteen. I know I am too, but I can't stop this. You can. Please go." Tony begged.

Clary glanced at the watch. 7 seconds. "Can I have a last kiss?" she asked.

Tony nodded. "Then you run, okay?"

Clary nodded and both of them started to lean in. They pressed their lips together with their arms wrapped tightly around each other. 3…2…1. Clary thought.

In that position, with their lips pressed together and their arms tightly around each other… the bomb went off.

There you go. A cliffhanger. Don't worry, you'll see what happens in the next chapter. Now I can let my ideas flow. Thanks again Big Time Mia.

R&R please?
