SO I don't update regularly, oops, but you know i'm busy you're busy, nobody actually likes this spiel i write, right? (pun intended)
Back with Hermione and the gang…
Hermione and the twins walk through the woods taking their time to enjoy the peace and quiet the house used to provide before quite a few of their guests were invited not that Hermione minded, she just wanted to relax and be able to let her mind wander now and again without someone interrupting her thoughts. Honestly, she didn't understand why on earth the women (Fleur and the Black sisters) were arguing all the time. I mean sure, some people didn't get along but it almost seemed as if they were trying to win her favour. 'Nah can't be ' Hermione thinks while chuckling making her two other companions who have been keeping quiet throughout their stroll look at her with a confused expression.
"What's so funny 'mione" asks Serena her right eyebrow cocked whilst folding her arms which gave off an inquisitive feel to her poster; whilst her mirror image sister merely smiles at her sisters antics.
"Oh nothing, I just thought of something funny is all" Hermione says holding up her hand to her mouth to try and cover her giggle.
"And what exactly is this funny thought hmm" asks Silena as she leaned her face closer to Hermione's, her eyes shining with amusement.
"Well, if you really want to know. I had this outrageous thought that the way Bella, Andy,Cissy and Fleur have been acting seemed downright competitive and it almost seemed as if they were trying to win my favour or something" she explains before she lets her giggle loose that soon involved into a full blown laughter while the other two just keep silent and glanced at each other.
"Well, Hermione … um you see the thing is…" the both hesitantly begin.
"what what… what seems to be the matter" she asks her eyebrows furrowing in confusion.
" 'mione, I know you're dense and all but I mean they are your (cue air quotes) fiancé" begins Serena.
Silena then continues " so they are trying to gain your favour by duking it out like Hunger Games style but with their eyes."
"What?! No way i-i-it" Hermione's eyes widen as thoughts of the women's actions becoming more understandable as realization dawns on her that 'holy crap they really have been fighting over me.' Also "how the hell does Silena know what the Hunger Games is?" she voices her thought out loud.
This earns her a smack on her arm by the redhead " hey, I read you know unlike that ginger you call Ron, honestly Hermione" this causes the brunette to flinch because the twins rarely used her full name unless they meant business.
"Well, what am I suppose to do?" she asks worriedly looking between the two twins who merely shrug back at her helplessly; sighing she nods her head and begins walking furter into the forest.
"Hey where are you going?" the twins question simultaneously.
Hermione turns towards the two "Isn't it obvious " she deadpans "I need to clear my head so I'm going to go train with Friedhelm." She walks quickly towards the training grounds the twins hot on her heels.
"Who is Friedhelm" Serena asks her voie laced with puzzlement.
"Oh yeah, I forgot to tell you, Friedhelm is the dragon I fought the other day" she replies simply.
"WHAT !" they both scream "do you want to get yourself killed "Serena continues as she runs and blocks he brunettes path holding her sides and shaking her to use that big brain of hers.
"Don't worry about it, he's my friend of sorts" Hermione says with a smile though she sounded too unsure to keep either twin calm.
"You don't sound very certain to me" Silena says heatedly.
"Yeah well, who can ever be calm in the face of dragon" she shoots back her right eyebrow raised in defiance.
The twins look at each other silently communicating:
"She might get herself killed" Silena silently communicates to her sister.
"The dragon is her friend remember" Serena replies rolling her eyes at the absurdity.
"My thoughts exactly, at least we can be there to watch over her if she needs saving" Silena concludes as Serena nods in agreement before they are cut of by Hermione waving her hand in between the two's connected eyes.
"Ok, you guys are doing that freaky thing where you communicate via twin telepathy" she says.
Silena looks at Hermione and says with a tone that meant there would be no compromising " you can train but we" she gestures between herself and Serena "will be making sure you don't die out there in the field."
"And we will be getting your dad so that you don't actually die out there" Serena adds before Hermione could argue, grumbling to herself Hermione nods and walks towards the training ground once more. "I don't know why you're grumbling, you get two super hot redheads there to save your ass if need be" Serena jokes. Chuckling at her sisters statement Silena swings her arms around Hermione's shoulders as they all walk side by side to what would be a long day.
The sun sets over the horizon as Hermione wobbles in through the front door of the mansion each of her arm around one twin as they help her make her way to the dining room. Mr Granger right behind her carrying whatever was left from the training session. "Mum is going be so pissed" groans Hermione turning her face to face her dad whose face pales instantly at the realization that he would have to face his wife's anger. The twins chuckle at the father-daughter duo as they enter the dining room a loud crash halts the conversation.
" 'ermione!" screams Fleur in horror as she rushed towards the battered body of her beloved being held up by the twins. She cups the brunettes cheek worriedly "what 'as 'appened ma cheri" she questions a brilliant blue eyes shining with anxiousness. Her gaze changes to one of fury as it lands on Serena "who did this to her" she growls menacingly her hand still covering Hermione's cheek, her thumb now stroking the cut covering the left side of Hermione's face.
"Fleur, I'm fine really…" she replied weakly trying to calm the blonde before a body collides into her from behind.
"What is all the yelling about" exclaims Bellatrix her eyes focusing on the bruised form of Hermione "Oh my Merlin" she says bringing Hermione closer to her almost like an embrace making the Veela grow jealous by the second her worried eyes now darkening into a blue hue of anger.
The two other black women walk into the room, wide eyed and panic when they to saw the condition Hermione were in. The room was in a flurry of panic until a sharp whistle pierces through the shouts and screams of the ladies. There in all her glory was Mrs Granger sternly glaring at her daughter and husband who were both looking anywhere but her at the moment while the other parents and grandparents look on at the situation in amusement. "What happened" Mrs Granger said with a no nonsense tone making both father and daughter squirm from where they were.
"Uh well you see dear, Hermione wanted to train and ah why don't you tell your mother darling" Mr Granger said as Hermione turns to look at her father, her jaw dropping at his betrayal.
"Traitor" she mumbles.
"What was that?" her mother says eyeing her daughter who meekly replies with a quiet nothing. "So Hermione, care to explain what happened" her mother question, squinting her eyes in interrogation.
"Well, you see, since I started training with DAD" she emphasizes looking at her dad who gulps at the look his wife shot him "I thought it'd be good if I got some extra training in" Hermione finishes not telling her mother as to the reasons she decided to train, she thought it would be better to have that conversation alone without said topic of discussion within hearing.
Mrs Granger sighs in frustration her hand kneading her temples "training is fine but to get injured like this is not fine, not even ok. Come with me we'll get you cleaned up and healed" she says turning going towards her room, her daughter following her. The black sisters and Fleur get up to help but Mr Granger just gestures for them not to knowing that his daughter would like to talk to her mother about what is going through her mind.
On their way to her parents room they bump into Draco and Dora who worriedly question their friend as to how she had gotten her injuries, knowing she wouldn't be able to get rid of them she eyes her mother wondering if they could talk to her while she got healed. Her mother shrugs and continues her trek to the bedroom.
Whilst being cleaned up and bandaged by her mother she confesses as to her realization of the feelings of her fiancés towards her which earns her a, "Final f******* ly" from Dora who gets smacked over the head by Draco as he apologizes to Hermione's mother who merely giggles at the cousins antics.
"It's just, what's so great about me, I'm well I'm just me" she says rubbing her face in annoyance; her mum smacks her hand away.
"Stop that, you'll re-open the wound, that is too deep to fix without a medi-witch" she says sternly "Also, what's wrong with being you, you're smart, humble, caring."
"Gah, mum stop!" Hermione cuts in, her face turning red from embarresment "you have to say that, I'm your child."
"Hermione, that is not true" Draco pipes up, his hand on his waist in a very girl-like manner "you are sweet, you are humble mostly cause your dense"
"Her" the Gryffindor says though Draco ignores her and continues.
"But you are more than that, you are accepting, a great friend and so much more" he ends gently, cupping her cheek as he smiles down at her.
"I thought you are gay, you're not going to kiss her are you?" Dora laughs breaking the sentimental moment.
Draco glares at his cousin in irritation "you can be such a guy at times." Shrugging she turns to Hermione and winks at her before messing up her hair.
"Yeah, yeah whatever, either way 'mione, Draco's right. Don't think too much about it and just let things come as they are,follow your heart and you will find your way" she ends with a smile.
Blinking Hermione looks at Dora in awe before grinning at her "that was really deep Dora, didn't know you had it in you" gaining a high five from Draco and an appalled look from Dora who pouts before stalking out the room, Draco and Hermione following her as they continue laughing and Mrs Granger smiling at the scene before her.
She says in the midst of the empty room "My daughter is really one of a kind" and goes out of the room towards where the trio were standing at the landing of the staircase.
Meanwhile in the dining room
"I knew I should have followed her now mon petite ange is hurt and it is all my fault" Fleur says sadly.
"No it's not, anyone one of us could have been with her to make sure this didn't happen" Narcissa says empathetically.
"None of us may have been there but they certainly were" Bella says looking pointedly to the twins resulting in all four of 'mione's fiancés advancing on them.
'This is the day I die' the twins thought in sync.
"So, the both of you went out for a walk with her and she ends up training and getting herself injured hmm" Andy stoically eyes the twins questioningly.
"That's pretty much the story" gulps Serena.
"Oui, but it does not, um how do you say, add up" continues Fleur stalking around the twins like the predator she was, Mrs Delacour merely looking at her daughter in amusement knowing that she wasn't any threat to the twins so long as she and Fleur's grandmother were in the room, Gabrielle grins at her sister wondering if there will actually be an all out fight because the bets that could be cast for fight between this women would be a good one that was for sure.
" I agree with the vela for once" Bella nods " why is it from a leisurely stroll our dear Hermione had decided to get herself hut hmmm."
"Well, you know Hermione always wanting to learn, learn, learn" Silena stutters.
"Perhaps, but she could have done it in a less physical nature, won't you agree" Cissa interrogates her cold blue eyes boring into the twins identical forest green. "Care o tell us what caused her to want to train so badly then?"
"Ah well, you see" Serena begins before she point towards the doorway "Oh Hermione, how's the injury coming along?"
Distracted the women look towards the doorway only to be faced with nothing; turning back they see the twins ducking out the sliding door towards the forest, running for their lives. "Get them" Andy declares and the chase was on.
Entering the dining room a bit later with Draco, Dora and her mother Hermione look around at the occupants of the room and ask out loud "Hey what did we miss and where is Silena and Serena gone and the black sisters and Fleur for the matter?"
Gabrielle merely laughs, causing an eruption of laughter throughout the room while the 4 just look at each other, shrugging. "Who wants something to eat" Mrs Granger questions heading towards the kitchen the other three hot on her heels.
And so begins the gag chapter, a chase and a food competition see you all again hopefully soon (no promises cause I suck at those.)
