Like I said I'lve started to hit a snag in writting that will take longer to update from now on. So it's now usually 1 or 2 weeks, you'll see the next update.

Okay so no 250 this time but close enough I suppose. I admit that the last chapter may have been lacking in the Natsu vs Gajeel fight but I promise to do better from now after reading some displeased reviews. Now in this chapter I can promise it'll be better... at least I hope it is to you my fellow readers. So please READ AND REVIEW. I'd like to reach more than 288 before the next chapter.

Chapter 10: Aftermath and a New Start; Ben Meets Magic Congress

Afterwards

The battle against Phantom Lord had ended with Fairy Tail emerging victorious. Although the guild had once again been destroyed in the process and quite a few members of Fairy Tail had been severely injured with cases of extensive drained magic. However it wasn't anything too serious as they would recover after a good rest. After the battle, everyone stood side-by-side, as they looked to see what was left of the Guild. They had all gathered around, bandaging each other and resting on a job well done.

Ben had been perhaps the most injured with bruises, a torn thigh and both arms dislocated, with fractures to his bones. The others were worried about him and Makarov had offered to take him to his old friend Porlyusica who was an expert on medicine and potions. However to his surprise Ben had declined saying he just needed a hand to get him fixed. That hand turned out to be Erza when he walked over to her and asked for her help with something. The two went to a private spot to be alone were he told him what he needed from her. Since his arms were useless, he needed her to turn on his Omnitrix and dial in a specific form. She did as he asked and dialed in Swampfire as he requested before he pressed the dial and he became said alien. After which he asked her to cut off his arms completely from the shoulders to her shock and horror.

Naturally she completely refused saying what he was asking for was suicide. However Ben reassured her he would be just fine and explained that his form had the power to regrow limbs and regenerate. With some hesitation Erza complied and started out by slashing off his left arm which made her feel sick for a moment when she heard Swampfire let a small groan of pain. However what happened next surprised her as just like Ben had explained a new arm grew from the stump that lacked an arm as a new one took its place in a few short seconds. After that Swampfire used his new arm to tear off his other one where a new one grew back and then lastly he tore off his leg that had his thighs torn before a new leg formed as well. Feeling completely healed Swampfire used his new arms to then hit the dial on his chest and revert himself back to human form where all of his own injuries were gone and he was good as new.

This was a new feature Azmuth programmed into the Omnitrix. It was a new medical feature that would allow Ben to heal himself by turning into an alien with regenerative powers to heal his injuries. Azmuth said that by turning into an alien to heal his human injuries the DNA of the alien would be reconstituted by passing the alien forms state back to his human form. Azmuth developed this feature when he learned about Ben's incident in the past when he caught a cold and that was passed onto his aliens. So using his supreme intellect Azmuth developed a feature that works in reverse where the alien's current state is passed back to Ben. With this new feature Ben could now instantly restore himself to normal in order to resume combat duties and avoid being rendered disabled and bed ridden. However he was told that this feature didn't cure him of sickness since none of his current aliens could recover from sickness especially since any symptoms he had would still be transferred to them but Ben was fine with that since he found this new feature to be awesome like everything else about the Omnitrix.

Ben was surprised when Azmuth told him about the new feature his latest model included. Azmuth said it was to ensure he didn't end up dead due to having injured himself in a stupid way like the one time he accidentally broke his arm in the past doing what he called a stupid event. Although his reason was offensive, Ben knew it was because Azmuth cared about him in his own way. While he didn't know in what way exactly even after all this time, he suspected the supreme Galvan came to see him as a friend, student or some kind of apprentice. Needless to say everyone was surprised when he returned a few short minutes later with his arms restored and back to full use.

Ben and Erza went over to Natsu and the others for a talk. However before they could begin their conversation a figure suddenly appeared behind them.

"Well nice to see that you're all doing alright." A new voice replied getting their attention as they turned around to see who was behind them.

There on a crate, appearing from out of nowhere, as silent as the wind. His face covered by his hood consistently, until he spoke up, "Not a bad job guys, although personally I would've smashed Jose in the face while he was in that state to make sure he'd stay down."

They all blinked at him, as Lucy replied, "Well, yeah, but... who are you?"

Ben smirked, as he figured it out from the fight, as he half-smirked, though still tired from the fight, "C'mon, why don't you introduce yourself. Neb."

They all blinked at that, until they looked at the little figure, as he threw the cloak off... to reveal himself to be the green and black cat that Ben had met on his first mission, Neb. He stood there, with his arms crossed, and the Proto-Tool Ben had made on his left shoulder.

Happy's eyes lit up like stars, as he saw the new cat, with everyone equally surprised, but not as much as Happy was. Suddenly without warning, he ran to the green and black cat who sweat dropped at Happy's assault at him, as he cried out, "I knew it! I knew I wasn't the only cat around!" He then hopped at him, his wings spreading wide, as he flew right at him, his tears streaming down, as he cried out, "I'M NOT ALOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONE!"

SMACK!

Suddenly Happy was sent flying down back to the others, bouncing off the rubble, until finally he crashed into a pile of rocks, as he slumped down, in a daze much to everyone's shock. Neb had pulled off the Proto-Tool, and made it into a baton, as he flipped it back to its default form, and huffed at the downed Happy, "I'll hit you if you try to hug me you idiot."

"Shouldn't you say that before you smack me?" Happy asked, dizzy from the hit.

Everyone was a bit weirded out by the scene, as Wakaba sweat dropped, "He may be like Happy, but he's clearly not."

Macao sweat dropped, "He's just as violent as Natsu and Erza."

Neb then glared at everyone, causing everyone, minus Ben and Makarov, to jump back, as he pointed at all of them and declared, Now, listen up, you Mage jerks! I didn't save your precious guild for the heck of it! I did it because I owed a friend!"

Mirajane, one of the few who didn't flinch back, walked over to him, and knelt down to be at his eyelevel on the crate. She then innocently asked, "Well then why did you help us, Neb? You must have a reason for helping."

Neb blinked at the girl, and was about to say something offensive at her… until he got a good look at her cleavage which was showing due to her being bent down. He then took his eyes off and back to her face where he saw her giving him an angelic smile. He looked away with a small blush on his face before he pointed at Ben "I owe him that much!" everyone turned to look to Ben, who was equally confused.

He blinked, as he pointed to himself, "Me?"

"Ya damn right! The Jewels and this weapon, as well as what you did back for my friend, I cannot equal in payment, but with one thing," Neb stated, as he fiercely called to him, pointing at him, "AS OF THIS MOMENT: I AM YOUR PARTNER, BEN TENNYSON OF FAIRY TAIL!"

Everyone just blinked at that, as they allowed at all to sink in. a small gust of wind blew in to break the silence, until everyone suddenly asked, "WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT?!"

1 Week Later

Fairy Tail Guild

One week had passed since the Phantom Lord Guild had been beaten. Afterwards in the past two weeks, much had happened. Afterwards, the Rune Knights had arrived; the Army of the Magic Council, which mostly everyone knew that they'd show up after all this. They had rounded up everyone and interrogated everybody. However, Ben was the longest to be interrogated, much to everyone's surprise. They had heard that Ben had single-handedly took down the Jupiter Cannon, took out two of the Element 4 S-Class Wizards, and even fought against one of the Ten Saint Wizards on his own. Speaking of Jose he was currently being escorted to a maximum prison since he had nearly broken every law between guilds, and had been stripped of his title of being one of the Ten Wizard Saints. In truth, all that they knew of Ben was from what they had interrogated from everyone. Ben knew that he couldn't lie to them right away, but that didn't mean he had to tell them the exact truth. All he stated was that he was a Take-Over Mage with Re-equipping mechanisms for his forms. He figured they wouldn't believe him, so he gave them the lie that they would obviously believe in. Afterwards the Rune Knights had found Fairy Tail innocent while Phantom Lord was hereby disbanded. After that they just left while saying the council would decide what would happen next.

However that wasn't the only thing that happened during the week. Lucy had apparently felt guilt over what happened and left Fairy Tail to return back home. Ben and team Natsu had found out about this when they went to see her place after she hadn't been seen for hours. Ben had gotten to see the inside of her place for the first time, although it was too bad that he got to see it under these circumstances. Anyway Erza had discovered the letter Lucy left on her desk for anyone that finds it. When Natsu and Gray saw it they immediately went nuts, not believing that their friend and teammate had just up and left. They instantly said that all of them should go get her back but Ben had declined to everyone's shock. Natsu had gotten angry and questioned why he would just forget about a dear friend. Naturally Ben had gotten angry at Natsu's insult and told him that Lucy is a big girl and she's free to decide what she thinks is right; also he said that he doesn't get involved in family affairs anymore (unless it's urgent to save the universe, galaxy, planet or town) because it's not his place to do so. Even if her father was the jerk who hired Phantom Lord to retrieve her which started this war, that didn't mean they had a right to decide what she should do about her family. Not to mention that fact he knew how much Lucy disliked her father and that she needed to learn to face him herself instead of relying on her friends for support all the time.

This caused tension between the two as Natsu still said that they should be there for her and try to get her to come back cause he felt it wasn't right for her to give up the guild she loves just because of what her father did. Eventually Erza split them up while berating Natsu and saying that Ben is entitled to his own opinion and that there was reasoning and logic in his words. So they went their separate ways as team Natsu went to find Lucy while Ben stayed in town.

Hour's later team Natsu came back with Lucy who revealed that she didn't quit Fairy Tai but had left to face her father and finally tell him off which she felt she succeeded in doing. Ben applauded her for finally standing up for herself before she said that she heard the reasons why he didn't go with team Natsu and said thanks for respecting her private matter. After that Natsu gave a small apology and everything began going back to normal.

After that 1 week everyone was now working on rebuilding the Guild. Of course, Ben offered to go Clockwork again to restore it to normal but to his surprise Makarov had declined. When asked why, he said that this was a perfect opportunity to make some nice changes and additions to the guild. They had enough jewels saved up in the guild for a new guild development. Everyone liked the idea except for Natsu who complained that they didn't need any changes and the guild was fine in its original form. However no one paid him any mind since he was completely outvoted.

Currently, everyone was aiding in the construction of the new Guild Hall. Sections of the walls were already being built, as they were now building around the areas that Ben was currently demolishing.

At that moment, Armodrillo shot out of the ground from the wreckage of the old Guild. It came crumbling down, as he dusted himself off, as the wreckage of the former guild fell to the ground behind him. He then dug back in the ground again, as he dug around, making out the foundation of the new guild. Only this time it was becoming bigger as the foundation was made out perfectly. Armodrillo shot out of the dirt again, as he walked over, "Alright, I'm done with this section! Get the beams out, and get them set up!"

Natsu and Gray were on their way to deliver huge supplies of lumber over. Natsu's face twisted in concentrated stress, as he lifted a huge load of wooden beams over his head. Unfortunately, he didn't think it through, as he buckled under the heavy weight, with all the wood collapsing on his back painfully.

Happy and Neb were sitting on top of a table with Happy eating a raw fish, while Neb ate two packets of tuna calmly. Happy sweat dropped, "Oh boy. He overdid it again."

"What a dummy." Neb retorted, as he ate his tuna without any concern for Natsu.

Gray walked by, as he had only a single beam on his shoulder, "What do you expect? He is a moron for carrying a huge load like that."

Natsu shot out of the pile, as he roared at Gray all angry like, "WHAT'D YOU CALL ME?! YOU WANNA PIECE OF ME?!"

Gray seethed in silent rage at him, "You wanna go? LET'S GO, HOTHEAD!"

Neb sweat dropped at this, as he asked, "Are they always like this?"

"Ever since first met, at the age of ten." Happy answered, as he ate his fist happily.

Armodrillo huffed, as he walked over, raised his arms and then whacked both of them aside their heads, knocking them out. "The guild's already been demolished. Do you guys really want to start it over again?" Armodrillo replied angrily. The two boys didn't seem to get up, as Armodrillo gulped, "Hope I didn't kill them." He said before he picked up Natsu's load of lumber with easy and took it with him.

"Aye! Once again, Ben: 2, Natsu and Gray: 0," Happy replied, keeping score of the Ben vs Natsu battles.

However, unbeknownst to them, hiding behind one of the walls, a familiar Rain Woman was watching Ben. It was Juvia Lockser, and she was ogling Ben and swooning at him with every second, whether he was human or in alien form. She silently squealed, as she giggled, "Oh, Ben. My love. How I've fantasized of being held in your strong yet gentle embrace." Her imagination got the better of her though, as she imagined her held in his arms like a princess… and then gently laid down on a bed, as he began to undress her…

She blushed and squealed out with pleasure. But that was her mistake, as it caused Armodrillo to turn towards her, but luckily she hid in time. Armodrillo blinked at the empty space, and then turned to the two cats, "Hey, Neb. Did you see anyone over there? I thought I heard a girl cry out."

The little green cat shrugged, "Nope. I've been too busy listening to Happy keep score on how many times the Dragonslayer's lost to you."

Armodrillo looked at the two in confusion, as he asked, "Since when did you two get so chummy?"

Neb frowned, "We're not chums. I'm only here because he won't leave me alone until we sit down together and have lunch."

"I JUST WANNA BE FRIENDS!" Happy cried out, as he jumped and hugged the green and black cat.

Neb tried to get away, as he cried out, "What are you hugging me for?!"

"Because I want to!" Happy cried out.

Neb tried to get him off, as he complained and ordered, "GET AWAY FROM ME YOU NUTCASE, I DON'T HUG GUYS!"

"NOOOO!" Happy cried out.

Armodrillo blinked at this awkward scene, and decided to leave them as they are until a voice spoke up, "Honestly, I haven't seen Happy this excited to see another like him."

Armodrillo turned and saw Erza standing among them, wearing her Construction Equip. she stood there with lumber on her shoulder, as she looked to Ben, "When you get the chance, deliver those to Master Makarov, alright?"

"Sure, no prob," the yellow armadillo alien responded. But then he saw her look down at the downed Natsu and Gray, "Yeah, those two were gonna fight again. I had to hit them over the head before they wrecked the place."

Erza sighed, not sure if she wanted to get into it, "Well, they better wake up. We're not doing their load of work."

Armodrillo walked over to the Giant Makarov, and wearing the same attire as Erza. He lumbered the lumber on over to him, as Makarov was putting together the info structure of the building. And instead of using a hammer, he was using his own fists. Once he laid the beams of timber down, Makarov smirked at him, "Thanks, Ben."

"No prob Gramps," Armodrillo responded. "Anything else you want me to do?"

"Yeah, I need you to start digging up some holes for some tunnels and water pipes for the new Guild Hall," Makarov explained.

"I'm already on it." Armodrillo saluted before his hands turned into drills where he then burrowed underground and started making a new line of tunnels. However due to his size the tunnels were being made a larger size than required but it didn't matter cause it would be easy to refill them with dirt and earth once the new pipes were installed.

Wakaba smoked his pipe as he smirked, "Looks like Ben's hard at work like all of us on this."

Macao smirked, "Wouldn't expect anything less from the kid who did what he did a week ago."

Suddenly, Natsu shot up from his small concussion moment, as he cried out, "THAT WAS A CHEAP SHOT BEN!"

Happy flew over to him, as Gray was getting up, and the little blue cat smirked, "Ben got you good again, sir."

"That was a cheap shot," Natsu whined out. He then looked over to Ben as he roared, "BEN! I WANNA REMA…."

But it was over, as dirt was shot at him like a geyser, sending him back into sleepy land. Gray blinked at that, as he looked to Happy, "So what's the score again?"

"Ben: 3, Natsu: 0," Happy shrugged.

Neb chuckled at that, "I don't think the pink-haired dork's gonna learn that he can't beat Ben." But then he looked at the place, as he stated, "Is it just me, or is this place gonna be bigger than the first one?"

Mirajane took that opportunity to walk on over, as she explained, "Well, we figured we might as well expand the New Guild Building." She then held up a big piece of paper, as she explained, "I have the current blueprints for them right here."

Everyone, including a normal Ben walked over to see the designs. However, it wasn't exactly like they thought it would look. It looked like it was drawn by a little girl with crayons as it had little flowers, bunnies as well as a little fish doodle. Everyone sweatdropped, as they didn't know what to make sense of this.

"Wow, that's um…" Wakaba sweat dropped, as he didn't know what to say.

"Pretty interesting," Macao managed to choke out.

A recovered Natsu, who was covered in dirt, blinked, "Which way is up on this thing?"

However, Gray just blurted out his honest thoughts without having much strain on lying, "This is the worst blueprint I've ever seen; it's like a five-year-old drew this. What idiot made this up?"

But then he noticed a silent Happy and deadpan looking Neb pointing in a direction, and he followed it… right to a smiling Mirajane. But it vanished, as she turned away, and cried, "You don't like my plans! Gray, you big fat stupid-headed meanie!"

Gray tried to calm her down, "Ah! No, I didn't mean anything like that! I'm sorry!"

"You made her cry! YOU BASTARD!" Natsu, Macao, and even Wakaba yelled at him.

But Neb was the loudest, as he shouted, "I'LL KILL YOU, YOU BASTARD FOR BEING SO COLD-HEARTED!" he said before he suddenly turned his proto-tool into blaster mode and started shooting at Gray who screamed and ran away while avoiding the shots being fired on him.

Happy sweat dropped, "Well, he is an Ice Wizard."

Ben back in human form walked over to her and gently rubbed her back, hoping to calm her down. He got more than he bargained for when Mirajane hugged his chest and cried anime tears on his shirt. "Why is Gray so mean to me Ben!?" she cried in a way others found humorous based on how Ben now looked unsure of what to do. So he just patted her back while saying "There there, it's okay. Gray's just an idiot."

Behind a wall, Juvia's hands clawed at the wall she was spying from and looked at Mirajane enviously, as she thought, "Oh, Mirajane. How I envy you right now for having my darling Ben in your arms. Oh how I wish that was me right now."

Without warning, a jet of water blasted into Natsu and then hit Gray who had jumped to avoid another shot fired at him. However, the water passed Ben and Mira altogether, earning a surprised look on the boy. But once it did, he noticed a small pink metal box on the table next to him.

"What the… what is this?" Ben queried as Mirajane let go of him to look at it too.

"I'm soaked." Natsu remarked; his clothes were completely drenched and dripping.

"Look!" Happy pointed at the pink box. "A lunch box!"

"Where'd it come from?" Gray wondered.

"Who cares?! See if it has food in it!" Neb said eagerly as he put his tool away.

Ben opened the box, and was shocked at its contents. Inside the pink lunch box was an assortment of many vegetables, fruit, and meat arranged in the shape of hearts and his face strangely enough. Ben's eyes bulged open as he stuttered incoherently. The others, however, reacted in the opposite fashion.

"Wow! That looks pretty tasty!" Neb admired.

"That's so cool! Your face is totally edible," Happy added.

"This is just too weird!" Ben responded nervously. "And what's with the green stuff oozing out of the box? Is this some kind of sludge?"

"I'll eat it for yah if you don't want it." Neb offered as he wasn't bothered by the ooze one bit.

Behind her usual hiding spot, Juvia was about to break into tears of sorrow at seeing Ben looking disinterested in the meal. "This is heartbreaking for me, Ben! I spent three whole days making that lunch for you. Please eat it." Juvia thought.

"Well, I didn't say I didn't want to eat it," Ben stated, as he looked at the meal, and arched an eyebrow, "It's just gonna seem weird to have me eat my own face."

He pulled out a fork and stabbed it into the veggies that were by the side of his face's image. He then scooped it up and brought it to his mouth were he proceeded to take a small bite out of the meal, as his little cat watched him chew and swallow.

"Well?" Neb asked.

"Wow this is actually pretty good." Ben replied as he took another bite, this time from the image of his face.

"So is it better than those chilly fries or smoothies you were talking about?" Gray asked only to suddenly get a glare from Ben.

"Hey now, let's not get carried away here. This is good but chilly fries are still number one in my books and so are the smoothies." Ben retorted before he took another bite of the meal, this time picking at his face's image.

Juvia, meanwhile, was watching the scene with tears swelling up as a vision of her and Ben formed in her mind. They were living together, and he had just returned home from a job. She whipped around, with only panties and an apron as her clothing. She teased him if he wanted to have dinner… or her. He scooped her up in his arms, as he nuzzled her neck, and answered that he wanted to eat her all up. Although as she did a thought occurred to her after hearing what Ben said.

"Wait a moment. What're smoothies and chilly fries?" She thought to herself in wonder.

The Frontier Lands

Inside Vilgax's Ship

"Man I love watching this show. I swear you can't get better cable in this world than this." Death said out loud as he rewinded the footage of the entire Fairy Tail versus Phantom war to a part he loved seeing. "Well that was quite the entertaining show don't you think Vilgax?" Death said amusingly while scooping up a handful of popcorn and eating it as if he was watching a movie. "Tennyson's certainly shown some backbone and fighting skills. Maybe he's not as big of a wimp as I took him for."

"Perhaps" Vilgax who was standing closer in front of the screen reluctantly admitted it. "But regardless we've seen plenty of Tennyson's fighting skills and those of his allies he's joined up with in their guild." He then pressed a few buttons as a screen displayed Albedo sitting in front of a computer screen. "Did you acquire all the data Albedo?"

The disguised Galvan turned to where the camera was and gave a satisfied nod. "Not all but certainly enough for a working start. Thanks to our drones observations we have gathered the data on the aliens Ben has used, analyzed nearly everyone of his allies magic levels, recorded their types of magic, fighting skills and a few other things as well." Albedo said in a tone of interest as he was looking over the unique data on each member of Fairy Tail and the readings on magic power.

"And what about their precious guild master and that spell he used?" Vilgax questioned after seeing that large display of power.

"Oh yeah, that little midget turned giant." Death remarked remembering him from when he attacked Phantom Lords base. "Man he was fun to watch. I especially enjoyed the part when he got bigger and all those Phantom losers were screaming and running for their lives while shouting 'HE'S A MONSTER! BWA HA HA HA HA!" he said while laughing at how funny it was for him. He always did find panic to be entertaining, there was just something about seeing calm people lose it, that just brought laughter to him. Maybe that's why he enjoyed seeing a good monster movie. It was just too bad that this world didn't have VCR's or DVD players. He would've enjoyed seeing more movies from their dimensional earth. One he particularly liked was a sci-fi movie about a gigantic lizard fighting some mutated parasite or tick called a Muto or something.

Albedo didn't answer right away as he simple stared at Death in contemplation. He still didn't know why someone like Vilgax would keep someone like him on his side. True he was a skilled warrior and by what he saw so far, was also loyal to him but even still his attitude and personality left plenty to be questioned. He was wondering if all of his kind was this bizarre or he simply developed this behavior after what he went through in his past. "Well I've compiled a list of data on that spell they called Fairy Law. It's truly a fascinating technique. It's a type of distortion that follows the users will by unleashing a fearsome light that extracts the magic, physical strength and will to fight to fight from those they see as enemies. It has a tremendous covering range making evasion or defending against it virtually impossible. It's almost like the perfect offensive technique. It brings no harm to the landscape or structures of civilization, only wiping out enemies and can even restore the strength of allies."

"There is no such thing as perfection. Have you come up with a way for us to protect ourselves from that spell?" The space conqueror questioned only to receive a shake of the head from the Galvan.

"Not right now but in time I'm sure I will have something. After all, magic is nothing more than a source of power like everything in the world that's powered by energy. Why these pitiful humans would call it magic is beyond me since there's nothing mystical about it." Albedo remarked, dismissing the power of magic as nothing but another common thing like fuel, plutonium or the energy powers some aliens possessed.

After all compared to everything he had seen the members of Fairy Tail do, he knew technology and aliens that could do things better. Not to mention that so far he had yet to see anything that could affect the planet on a global scale. He never did see magic as anything special, after all it was none other than Azmuth who created the legendary sword Ascalon which humanity foolishly thought was a creation of sorcery when in reality it was pure technology that gave existence to the powerful blade. This proved to him that either magic didn't exist and even if it did, there was nothing technology couldn't do better than it. After all technology has achieved time travel, dimension travel, genetic rewrite, planetary destruction and many other great things.

"However I can't come up with a proper counter method from just this data. I'll need more to develop a proper method."

"That won't be a problem. We'll continue to have our drones observe them and gather more data." Vilgax easily answered while typing a few things on another screen. "Besides we've seen that most of Tennyson's allies in that guild are nothing but weaklings who would pose no threat… however" he said while pressing one button as images of Erza, Natsu, Gray and Makarov appeared on screen. "These 4 may pose a challenge for us."

"Hmm I gotta say I really like the redhead. She's got the eyes of a true warrior and certainly has a beauty that matches, plus that hair is such a lovely shade of scarlet red." Death remarked looking at her picture with interest and a little bit of lust from seeing her different armors which left little to the imagination on how she might look with nothing on. "I wonder if that lovely hair of hers looks like the color of blood during the night?" he thought in wonder as he imagined her standing on a rooftop with a crescent moon behind her and her hair swaying to the breeze of the silent wind.

"Enough gawking D'arke." Vilgax said in his usual impatience.

"Ah come on, can't I gawk at the hot girl who happens to wear armor that may as well be sexy underwear for one moment without having the joy ruined!?" Death questioned as he hadn't had any fun since taking down that scouting ship that came to their turf, meeting Reina and playing her savior as he took her back to civilization. Of course his trip back was ruined with his condition acting up at this time of the year. The following week had been a real pain to rid himself of his symptoms despite the end result pleasing him. Oh how he hated how he felt when it was acting up. He was seriously starting to wonder if he should let Albedo run experimental tests on him just to see if he could find a genetic cure for him.

"You had your free time to take care of your condition. Now it's time to resume your work." Vilgax stated as Death sighed at that.

"Fine so what do you want me to do, go back to gathering intel?" Death questioned already feeling boredom returning. Although getting to see all the beautiful girls along the way would help him cope with that. Man this world definitely had its perks.

However to his surprise Vilgax shook his head as a certain smirk grew on his face. "Not right now, my drones can keep gathering info on Tennyson and his allies. I have a special assignment for you today."

Death raised an eyebrow in growing interest and curiosity. "Really? What is it then?"

Vilgax began to speak the assignment Death was going to be given and when he did a smirk began to grow on his own face as he really liked what he was hearing. When Vilgax finished telling him the job Death now had a cheery look on his face.

"I can definitely do that. In fact I'll leave right now cause I can't wait and I could use some fresh air." Death remarked before he turned and left as he headed for the hanger where his hover bike was kept.

Once he left Vilgax walked to his seat like throne which D'arkes had been using to watch the footage before he sat down and put his hands together in thought as he saw that his plans were beginning to form and one day soon, he would be ready to launch the first attack. However there was still much to do, things to learn and many more things to acquire before that day came.

"Pardom me Vilgax but I'm confused on something." Albedo sudden spoke up getting the conquerors attention.

"What is it?" he questioned.

"Ben as well as most of his comrades are all injured and weakened so why is it that you don't just launch an attack against him now?" Albedo questioned since this seemed like a perfect time to get rid of Tennyson.

Suddenly Vilgax began to chuckle. "That's one of your problems Albedo. You're a genius in technology but when it comes to strategic war plans you lack the experience and knowledge in how to conquer." He said as Albedo narrowed his eyes at the jab of his intelligence. "While it is true that this seems like a perfect moment to strike, the fact remains that we still don't know enough about this world to act. Besides after what happened I'm sure those foolish members of the council will be sensing there military to deal with the incident of their pitiful clash of guilds. So for now we will remain out of sight and continue to observe them. But once we've gathered all the data we need and I've gathered all the forces I need then we'll begin our plans to dominate this world and eliminate Ben Tennyson."

"Hmp I didn't think you would be patient enough to wait." Albedo remarked considering he knew Vilgax had an impatience for tolerance.

"When taking over a world with limited resources one needs to adapt to the situation and change tactics." Vilgax commented with a superior smirk as he waited for D'arke to return from his special assignment.

Meanwhile back at Fairy Tail

Ben had finished eating the lunch box while giving a small bit to Neb for him to try. Althought when Natsu wanted to try some too, Ben had to shoo him away knowing he would've taken more than he suspected.

"Say Neb I'm confused about something." Happy suddenly asked.

"Is it about why your willing to hug guys more than girls? If so then I think it's clear what your problem is." Neb proclaimed getting Happy riled up easily.

"THAT'S NOT IT! AND I'M FRIENDLY TO EVERYONE INCLUDING THE GIRLS!" Happy shouted in outrage.

"Then what is it and make it fast cause I'm just about ready to go somewhere else." Neb said.

"Why is it that your name is Ben spelled backwards?" Happy asked getting the attention of Ben, Natsu and Gray who overheard.

"Hey he's got a point, your name is Ben spelled backwards. That's kind of strange." Gray mentioned after becoming aware of it.

"Maybe he just likes Ben so much he named himself after him." Natsu snickered only to get a whack on the head from Neb and his proto tool.

"THAT'S NOT IT YOU IDIOT!" Neb shouted in anger at the idea that he was some crazy fan who named himself after an idol or hero.

"OWW THAT HURT YOU LITTLE P…!" Natsu stopped his complaining when he saw Neb's proto tool now in blaster mode aimed at his head and with Ned having a look that said 'Go ahead, give me a reason to shoot'.

"Hey now Neb let's not get carried away." Ben said as he tried preventing another fight. "Just put the blaster down and let's just talk like normal guys."

Neb looked to Ben and then Natsu before he took a moment to think on it and then fold his blaster and put it back on his back. "Fine."

Ben sighed at the green cat. "So you were saying?"

Neb huffed before he explained. "My real name isn't Neb its Nebula. I just prefer to be called Neb because it's shorter and sounds better to me."

Now they all had raised eyebrows at this small revelation.

"Then… your name being Ben spelled backwards… is nothing more than…" Gray trailed off.

"A big dumb coincidence." Neb finished in annoyance.

Before anyone could comment further on the matter, they all heard a large smash noise and turned to see that a barrel had been smashed against a wall that was being rebuilt.

"Why don't you tell the others how you really feel?" Everyone turned to see Erza apparently arguing with someone that was sitting on a bench with a look of amusement as if he wasn't fazed by her. It turned out to be none other than Laxus who Ben didn't even notice had returned to the guild.

The S-Class lightning wizard as Laxus, sneered at Erza. "I have no problem telling you or anyone else what I think of them. This guild is full of nothing but losers and weakling who don't deserve to be in Fairy Tail." He said before turning to Jet and Droy who still had bandages wrapped around them showing they hadn't fully recovered yet. "Especially you two sorry assed wizards and your team leader. There were three of you and yet you all got beaten up by one member of Phantom Lord, were reduced to being his personal punching bag and then got left hanged on a tree like a flag showing their victory while your team leader got branded. Quite frankly you three are an embarrassment to the guild and I'm glad I never bothered to learn your names."

Jet and Droy grit their teeth before looking at the ground at being reminded of that.

Laxus then turned his attention to Lucy who had been conversing with Mirajane as he sneered at her rather smugly, "Which now brings me to the worst of them all: the rich little princess wannabe wizard here. This was all your fault you know that."

"LAXUS!" Mirajane yelled angrily, but didn't manage to show it so much on her face. " The master said that nobody in the Guild was to be held accountable for what happened in the war against Phantom. Not even you, despite the fact that Cana and I practically begged for you to come help but you just turned your back on us!"

"Stop your whining!" Laxus shouted without looking at her anymore as he still had that smug grin on his face. "That fight had nothing to do with me. It was your own freaking' faults for being so weak and pitiful. If I had been there, then you all wouldn't be drowning your sorrows in this pile of trash right now, would you? This is why every last one of you are pathetic! Nothing but a bunch of weak, gutless cowards who are unworthy of being a part of Fairy Tail!"

Ben narrowed his eyes at Laxus after hearing his words. He was just as bad as the last time he saw him when he refused to help the guild in the war. Suddenly Ben's eyes light up in realization as he remembered what he said to Laxus when he took the communication lacrima and figured no time like the present as he and walked to him, while fiddling with his Omnitrix.

"Why you!" Erza snarled.

"I'VE HEARD ENOUGH OUT OF YOU!" Natsu shouted as he ran at Laxus and swung his fist to wail on his face only for him to suddenly appear to turn into lightning and vanished from his spot before reappearing in a flash behind Natsu.

"So he uses lightning." Ben thought to himself as he watched the confrontation for now.

"Come on Laxus fight me like a man!" Natsu challenged only to get a laugh from Laxus.

"How do you expect to fight me when you can't even lay a hand on me you nitwit?" he said while still having laughter in his voice. "Man I can't wait till this place is mine cause then you'll be the first loser I throw out."

Natsu grit his teeth in anger, while Erza narrowed her eyes. Ben however had heard and seen enough.

"HEY JERK FACE!" Laxus, Erza and everyone else turned their attention to the voice that shouted and saw an angry Ben Tennyson. He calmly, but silently approached Laxus without any hesitation or fear. His emerald eyes glared intensely at the spiky and scarred-faced blonde. "Who do you think you are talking to your friends and fellow guild members like that?"

"You think these wimps are my friends?" Laxus laughed at the idea haughtily. "Ha! These losers aren't my friends. They're all pathetic wizards who have no place in the guild and once I become the new master of Fairy Tail, I'm gonna enjoy throwing out all the weaklings to make room for those that are really worthy of joining!"

"You? The new Master of Fairy Tail? Now that's a joke." Ben scoffed. "A real leader doesn't turn his back on those in need or abandons his allies just because he thinks it's not his fight."

Laxus frowned and narrowed his hard gaze at Ben. "Who the hell are you anyway?"

"So then you don't remember me right?" Ben questioned.

"What are you talking about you little runt," Laxus spewed out, looking rather uninterested at the boy. "I've never seen you in my life."

Ben developed a smirk "I guess you don't remember me when I was a red muscleman with four arms and eyes who threatened you over a lacrima right?"

Laxus raised an eyebrow at hearing that for a moment before his mind retraced back the memory of when he turned down Mirajanes plea for help before some red buff creature with 4 yellow eyes and arms appeared and argued in his face.

"That was you? So I guess your another lame Take-Over wizard. Hmp Makarov must be getting dumb to let another one of you join the guild. As if we didn't have enough already."

"Tell me Laxus do you like surprises?" Ben suddenly asked.

"What?" Laxus questioned the sudden change of topic.

"I said do you like surprises? Cause I know this very cool trick my watch can do." Ben said before he raised his Omnitrix and showed it to Laxus who was wondering if he was an idiot like Natsu.

"As if I give a crap about some stupid watch." Laxus replied.

"Oh but this watch does a very awesome thing. You see I just turn a knob like this and then when I push the button down…" Ben stopped as he pressed the dial down and a green flash of light erupted that blinded Laxus.

"What the!" Laxus said while unintentionally closing his eyes when all of a sudden a large yellow fist suddenly decked him across the face sending him flying back as if he was hit by a car as he crashed into a repaired wall causing it fall to rubble on top of him but not enough to bury him completely in it. He raised his head to see Ben who was now in the form of some kind of ape like humanoid creature who was giving off electricity from its body similar to the way he would do it.

"THEN I PUNCH YOU IN THE FACE! I promised myself that I would deck you the next time I saw you and now I have." Shocksquatch spoke out while punching his palm.

Silence filled the area as everyone in Fairy Tail was dumbstruck by what they just say. Laxus, one of Fairy Tails strongest wizards in the entire guild had just been sucker punched by their newest member Ben Tennyson. No one had ever managed to lay such a hit on him before other than Makarov.

Laxus got up in silent anger as he dusted off his cape and shirt. "Nice punch… I hope your ready to suffer for your actions." He said before his entire body was suddenly emitting lightning like a turbine that was on overload.

Shocksquatch did the same intensifying the lightning his body emitted only his didn't look as powerful as Laxus but he didn't care because he was going to give him the butt kicking Laxus deserved regardless of whatever difficulty he faced. He was already back to full strength and his Omnitrix had more than recharged since long ago so he was ready for another face off.

"You know something Laxus so far all I've been hearing is talk and talk and talk from you. So either you're nothing but talk or not as tough as you think you are." Shocksquatch remarked while smashing his fists together causing the lightning to momentarily flare up before going back down.

"Ben don't do this, it's not worth it." Erza said as she tried to stop him, worried he may be in over his head. She knew he was strong but she wasn't sure he was at Laxus level.

"Sorry Erza but this guy is in need of some manners and I'm just the guy to teach them to him the hard way." The electrified Yeti retorted.

"ENOUGH TALK!" Laxus roared out before he ran forward at such blinding speed that Shocksquatch couldn't keep track before Laxus delivered a haymaker punch on his face that knocked him down and sent him skidding over the ground for a few feet.

"Urg." Shocksquatch groaned out at the pain he felt from that punch. Laxus clearly didn't have the same strength as his aliens with super strength but with the speed he moved at, he could definitely hit as hard as them.

"Get up you little runt. I plan to give you a much longer beating then that." Laxus said as he stood in front of him with a look that showed he wasn't planning to restrain himself.

Shocksquatch got up looking alright for the most part. "Funny, I was thinking the same thing. Only mine will be a more educational lesson for ya."

Without responding Laxus ran at Shocksquatcha again who this time reacted out of instinct and shot lightning bolts out of his body in a 360 degree expansion which hit Laxus stopping him in his tracks as he was pushed back from the force but smirked as the attack didn't seem to harm him.

"You've got to be kidding. You actually think you can eat me using my own element?" Laxus berated.

"This is just my warm up, but don't worry I'll get into the zone soon enough." Shocksquatch shot back.

"Whatever. Now let's see how you handle getting blasted by lightning from me!" Laxus shouted as he unleashed large burst of lightning from his hand that struck Shockquatch when he barely managed to cross his arms for defense. The attack caused a small explosion as a dust cloud was stirred up.

"BEN!" Erza, Natsu, Mirajane, Lucy, Gray and Happy shouted in worry while Neb was the only one who didn't speak as he just kept watching the fight in interest.

"Ha, this fight didn't last long but then again he didn't know who he was up against." Laxus laughed at how easy it had been.

"Let me think, is it an overconfident jerk who thinks he's all that when he's really not?" The voice of Shocksquatch spoke from the dust cloud as he walked out of it to show he was unharmed, shocking Laxus and everyone.

"Ben are you alright?" Erza questioned.

"Yeah I'm fine, in fact that attack felt almost refreshing in a way." Shocksquatch said while flexing his arms and shoulders.

Laxus meanwhile was in disbelief at what he saw. The attack he used had enough power to knock out most people he had fought but this guy had taken it and shook it off as nothing more than momentary discomfort.

"How are you unfazed?" Laxus questioned in a tone that was more demanding.

"I'm a lightning user in this form too bonehead. Did you think you would be the only one who can stand up to a little shock?" Shocksquatch remarked earning a glare from Laxus.

"You might be able to withstand my lightning but…" Laxus said as he suddenly disappeared in a flash of lightning as Shocksquatch suddenly felt pain emitting from his gut as Laxus punched him there before delivering another haymaker to his face when he bent down from the pain. The blow caused him to fall on his back and before he could get up, Laxus grabbed him by his ankle and then using his strength threw him against a wall where he hit his back hard.

Shocksquatch got up as fast as he can but when he did he was suddenly giving a fierce shoulder tackle from Laxus that had him go through the wall behind him before he seemingly collapsed on the ground.

"What's wrong Tennyson, where'd all those smart remarks go!?" Laxus yelled at the fallen Gimlinopithecus who grit his teeth as he got up.

"Man this guy's tough even when he's not shooting lightning. There's no way Shocksquatch can take him, he's just too fast." Ben thought wondering how he could beat someone with this kind of power and speed.

"This is insane, he's getting pummeled without landing a hit on Laxus." Gray said in worry at seeing his friend getting beaten around like a helpless victim.

"That's enough Laxus!" Erza said as she stepped forward.

"STAY OUT OF THIS!" Laxus roared out before he shot a large bolt of lightning at the ground in front of her, producing an explosion that made a large crater in front of her. "This punk challenged me so I'm going to him a fight, one that he'll remember for the rest of his life!"

Erza and the rest of her team mates narrowed their eyes while seemingly preparing themselves to join the fight to help Ben.

"DON'T YOU GUYS!" Shocksquatch spoke out. "This is my fight and I don't want your help."

Erza looked at Shocksquatch, wanting to object but then she saw the look in his eyes filled with determination and confidence.

"Besides, I think I just figured out how to take this creep down." Shocksquatch said before he tapped the Omnitrix and was enveloped in another green flash of light.

Laxus shielded his eyes while making sure he didn't close his eyes to get sucker punched like before. When the light died down he saw that the electric ape was replaced by a smaller black and blue looking creature that seemed to be covered in armor.

"Cause now I'm going to XLR8 to victory!" XLR8 said in seriousness.

Laxus however wasn't impressed. "You think that puny form will be able to beat me!? You must've taken a severe hit to the head." He said while laughing.

However the laughter from the lightning user was halted when a visor covered XLR8's face and then an instant later Laxus was suddenly hit on the forehead by XLR8 who head butted him after closing the distance between the two in less than a second.

"ARG!" Laxus groaned in pain as he now fell on his back as he felt a migraine forming from the impact.

Now everyone in Fairy Tail was in awe what they saw. Ben had managed to once again land a hit on Laxus even when he wasn't blinded like the first time.

"Now I believe it's my turn to tell you to get your ass up so I can keep kicking it." XLR8 taunted at the downed Laxus who got up and brought his hand to his forehead and pulled it back to see there was some blood emitting from his wound. He squeezed his hand into a shacking fist of anger as the lightning around his body intensified with him.

"Your dead now Tennyson!" Laxus said as discarded his cape before he disappeared in a flash of lightning.

"I don't' think so!" XLR8 quickly said before he also seemed to vanish in a blur.

"Whoa where'd they go?" Lucy questioned.

The next instant a loud boom was heard like the sound of thunder as Laxus and XLR8 reappeared only Laxus fell to the ground and rolled around before he managed to get back up right away. He had a look of disbelief on his face. XLR8 however landed on his feet seemingly without having suffered anything when they both disappeared.

"You're going to have to be faster than that to keep up with me!" XLR8 remarked while giving a 'come on' motion with his clawed hand.

Laxus growled before he raised the lightning from his body to the highest level for speed before he and XLR8 both vanished.

"Man they're so fast I can't see keep track of them." Jet said in awe as even he couldn't move at such speed.

Suddenly a bench got wrecked as Laxus appeared to get thrown onto it before he vanished again in a flash of lightning. The sounds of thunder filled the place as it seemed like it resounded every time they clashed physically. Everyone in Fairy Tail felt the shockwaves emitting every time they heard the sound of thunder. With every new boom walls, benches, stools and even the ground were getting wrecked and blasted as the members of Fairy Tail could only hear what was happening and catch glimpses of Laxus and XLR8 when they crashed against something before vanishing again. Although so far it was mostly Laxus who was getting thrown around as it seemed that XLR8 had the upper hand.

In their world of speed, everyone looked like they were going in slow motion like a video that was going only at 1/5 the normal speed.

"ARG!" Laxus roared as he swung his fist to punch XLR8 on the chest but the Kineceleran ducked and spun around as he nailed Laxus on the jaw causing him to spin backwards before he crashed onto the back wall where he reappeared to everyone's eyes followed by XLR8 who appeared in front of him.

"Looks like I win this fight." XRL8 proclaimed tauntingly.

Hearing this Laxus got up as he developed a dark look before his body seemed to explode with new power.

"Don't get ahead of yourself. This fight's only just started!" Laxus shot back as he and XLR8 prepared themselves for round 2 and charged forward at a reduced speed, allowing everyone watching to see them about to clash again when a giant fist suddenly smashed the ground between them, causing them to stop their charge as they turned to see who interrupted the fight although they already knew who it was.

"THAT'S ENOUGH!" Makarov yelled as he was in his giant form although not at full size.

Everyone now looked to see Makarov almost standing between the two as he raised his arm and looked to the two competitors in anger however he wasn't the only one.

"YOU STAY OUT OF THIS! THIS LITTLE PUNK STARTED THE FIGHT AND I'M GOING TO FINISH IT!" Laxus shot out at Makarov with a glare as he wasn't going to just stop in the middle of a fight.

"I SAID ENOUGH IS ENOUGH LAXUS!" Makarov emphasized when he grew larger and his body stated glowing with light magic. "IF YOU DON'T STOP THIS PETTY FIGHT THEN I WILL PERSONALLY SEE TO STOPPING YOU MYSELF!"

Laxus said nothing as he turned his attention to XLR8 who he could feel glaring back at him through his helmet as he took a ready stance if he dared attack him again. He then let his eyes wander back to Makarov who was just more to intervene.

Then Laxus seemingly disappeared in his signature flash of lightning as XLR8 did the same before they each reappeared where the other had been standing moments earlier. Neither of them seemed to have taken a hit this time.

Laxus bent down and picked up his cape where he put it back on before he turned to XLR8 and pointed to him in repressed anger. "One day you and I will finish this! You hear me!?"

In response XLR8 raised his visor exposing his face. "Count on it jerk face. Only next time when I knock you down, you'll stay down." He said earning one last glare from Laxus before he turned his back and vanished in a burst of lightning.

Makarov sighed, rubbing his temple in trying to get rid of the mental wrinkles he was developing, "Oy, that grandson of mine's gonna give me a heart attack one day, I can tell."

Once those words were heard, Ben went wide eye and blurted out, "Wait hold on! That guy's your grandson?!"

Makarov nodded, "Yeah, and the worst part is that he's taking after his father as well."

"His Father's that worse?!" Ben groaned, and then felt a little faint, as he sat down. "Okay that is one seriously messed-up family tree you've got there."

Makarov sweat dropped, as he nodded, "I know."

"And I wish we could do something about it, but there's nothing else," Mirajane stated, as she looked to Ben rather distraught. "One day, he might actually become the Guild Master, and do what he threatens to do."

Ben blinked as he thought about it, and cringed, "Brrrr. Please tell me there are other applicants for this job?"

"Well, any S-Class Mage would probably do, if candidacy were plausible," Mirajane explained. "Mystogen's always disappearing, doing jobs on his own, The Thunder Legion are basically led by Laxus, Erza… I'm not sure about. Maybe one of the Wizard Saints, but I don't think she could handle the stress of being a Guild Master." But then Mirajane tapped her chin in thought, and asked, "Although… maybe Gildarts."

Ben was curious on that name, as he asked, "Gildarts? He's an S-Class Mage? Haven't seen him around; nobody even talks about a Gildarts."

"Who's Gildarts?" Ben questioned.

Mirajane perked up a little "Gildarts is the strongest wizard in Fairy Tail next to Master Makarov and unlike Laxus he's actually a really nice guy."

Ben smiled at that. "Sounds like the perfect guy for the job."

Mirajane sweatdropped but her smile still remained. "I'm not sure about that. He's more accustomed to fighting rather than being a guild master. Plus I don't think he could do paper work properly or take being cooped in the guild for most of the time."

Ben frowned. "Well so much for that idea then."

At that moment, they all spotted Rune Knights coming towards them, marching like the drones some depicted them to be. The Fairy Tail Mages seemed a little fretted on this scene, seeing that they were probably in trouble. As usual, Natsu tried to bail on them, but Makarov pinned the weeping Natsu down, as he tried to get out of his master's grip. However, the strange thing was that they completely passed everyone… and went straight to Ben.

Ben blinked, as they saw they surrounded him, readying their staffs on him, as if they were prepared to fire at him. Ben blinked at the sudden hostilities, as he asked, rather confused, "Ah… can I help you guys?"

At that moment, one of the senior officers stepped up. He was a slim man of average height with long tied up black hair; two bangs framed his face and an unruly tuft covered his eyes, though his lavender eyes were still visible, behind his circular-lensed glasses. His attire was that of a high-ranking Council associates, consisting of a long, blue jacket with pink edges and strapped cuffs over a high-collared shirt bearing the councils signature ankh-like symbol. His attire also featured white pants held up by a simple belt, white gloves, a white cape held closed by a gem-decorated buckle, and distinctive shoes, seemingly bearing a serpentine pattern. His name was Lahar, one of the high-ranking officers of the Magic Council; a strict and firm officer, who believed who he was after was guilty, despite any good deeds they may have done.

"Benjamin Tennyson?" he asked to confirm if this was indeed the young man he was sent to find.

Ben blinked innocently, as he simply answered, "Yeah?"

Lahar nodded, as the soldiers closed in around him, pointing their weapons at him, "On behalf of the Magic Council, I hereby place you under arrest for being a wanted fugitive."

Everyone blinked at that, as Ben stood up from his spot, as he asked, "Say what? Why?" Although he already had clear guess what this was about.

"We believe you are aiding a recently unannounced fugitive, who named you first hand," Lahar stated, not giving any more information, and cutting to the point, "Guards place him in custody."

But before the guards could get any close, Neb hopped in, activating his Proto-Tool, as he stood in front of Ben, "Back off, Ponytail! I'm armed!"

The Rune Knights didn't seem too threatened by a cat… until they heard a loud roar behind them, as they turned. They all saw Natsu, fired up like crazy, as it seemed that Makarov let him go, as he roared, "YOU THINK YOU CAN JUST ARREST BEN LIKE THAT?! HE PRACTIALLY SAVED MAGNOLIA FROM GETTING BLOWN UP BY PHANTOM LORD!"

Even Erza ran up, switching to her Heaven's Wheel armor which was now fully repaired, as she summoned thirty blades to her side, and glared daggers at the Rune Knights, "Benjamin has done nothing wrong, except to prevent Phantom Lord from going too far!"

"YOU WANNA PIECE OF BEN, THEN TAKE US ON!" Elfman roared out, as he did a full-body transformation into his Beast Soul form, and roared out, "COURSE IF YOU ALL WANNA FIGHT, I'LL TAKE YOU ALL DOWN LIKE A REAL MAN SHOULD!"

The Rune Knights pointed their lances at them, preparing to fight at the moment, but Lahar stopped them, "Hold your weapons!" He then calmly addressed to Fairy Tail, "I'm not here to start a war with Fairy Tail. I'm simply escorting a criminal for crimes against Fiore."

"On what grounds?" Makarov commanded to know.

"You of all people should know: the council was given a message that someone named Ben Tennyson was to be sought out and turned over to the Council," Lahar explained, as he pointed to a rather calm Ben. "And he is the only one with that name in all of Fiore that we know of."

Mirajane looked to Ben, as she couldn't believe what she heard, as she looked to him, heartbroken, "Ben is that true? Are you a criminal?"

Ben turned to Mirajane with a small sheepish smile "Well I wouldn't say criminal. More like someone who's just been hiding from the law for personal reasons, but I'm not a bad guy."

"Then why is the council after you and calling for your arrest?" Mirajane questioned not understanding what was happening.

Before Ben could answer, Makarov explained, "Ben is no criminal, nor should he be treated like one. In any case, the one who mentioned Ben to the Council is the true enemy." He then looked to Lahar, as he shot out, "And he has done more for this guild than you could ever comprehend, Lahar!"

"One good deed does not exclude him from the crimes he's being accused of." Lahar explained.

"Though for you guys, it seems enough to condemn him," Ben retorted.

Lahar turned around and scoffed at the boy, "Indeed."

"Well, I don't care what crimes he has or hasn't done," Natsu roared out, as he flamed up, "WE'RE STANDING BY OUR COMRADE NO MATTER WHAT!"

"Natsu, don't!" Ben shouted, getting all their attention, as he looked to Lahar, and raised his hands. "Take me in then. I won't resist on it."

The others blinked at this surprised action, as Lucy stated, "Ben, what are you doing?"

"Making sure that you guys don't do something reckless and stupid. I knew that eventually the council would catch on to me so I figure no time like the present to get it over with." Ben answered.

At that moment, Lahar activated a Magic Circle around Ben, in which chains were summoned to appear. They wrapped themselves around Ben's arms and legs before turning into cuffs with magic writing carved on them that seemed to give off a strange glow of energy. If Ben had to guess he wagered it was to prevent wizards from using their magic, luckily for him he wasn't one. The Knights then prodded the boy to go along with them. But before things could go back to normal, Lahar ordered Makarov, "Come with us, Makarov Dreyar. Your presence as one of the Wizard Saints is required in his sentence."

Makarov frowned, "You mean his forced interrogation?" Lahar didn't make an answer, as he motioned for him to follow them. Makarov sighed, as he nodded, "Very well." He looked to the others, as he gave them a reassured smile, "Now you kids finish up the reconstruction as best you can while in our absence." And with that, they were off.

As the Fairy Tail Mages could only stand by and watch as Ben and Makarov willingly went off, Juvia was watching behind the rubble. She had witnessed Ben being captured, but willing to go along. Her mind was all ablaze with thoughts on what to do, 'What am I going to do? They're escorting Ben to prison. Maybe I can free and then we can both escape.' She then fantasized about them on the run, hiding together like Bonnie and Clyde. And then a fantasy about them alone, in a hotel, romantic music being played, and then the two crashing onto the bed together, stripping each other, and then after that…

Her face was red as a tomato, and steam was coming out of her collar and ears, as she slumped to the ground, as she grumbled, "Oooh! Why must my imagination and my heart disarm me so on these matters?"

Era

Magic Council Waiting Room

It had been a long trek for them, but they had made it to Era. Ben was still in chains and cuffed, even though he had willingly surrendered to avoid a confrontation from them. Once they were waiting for the Council to show, Makarov talked to Ben, who was still chained up, "I would've thought you'd run away like Natsu did. But you just surrendered yourself. Why is that?"

"Yeah, but there's a difference," Ben explained. "I'm surrendering to the Council, not to Vilgax."

Makarov's elderly wisdom face showed up, as he calmly said. "Perhaps, but half of those jackals want to throw you to the wolf's den. Thinking that once Vilgax gets what he wants, he'll leave us all alone."

"Vilgax wouldn't just leave people alone," Ben explained, a serious expression on his face showed. "Even if they hand me over, he won't go… not until he's conquered all of Earthland. If he's learned and seen what I've seen, he's not gonna give up until everything's under his thumb… claw… thing."

Makarov nodded in agreement, remembering the first time that squid-bearded monster appeared. But then he had to ask, as he looked to Ben, and asked, "Still. You let them chain and cuff you? Just like that?"

Ben shrugged, "Wouldn't be much of a surrender if I didn't let them." He then sheepishly smiled, as he held his cuffed wrists up, "Besides… it'd probably make them feel more secure this way."

The two guard suddenly came in, and pulled Ben up roughly, as they ordered, "Come on, you scum! It's time!"

They forcibly shoved Ben in, as he groaned, "Okay, okay. Don't get your knickers in a bunch."

The two shoved Ben into the center of the room, but still kept their weapons pinned to him, as Ben stood before the council. There were almost about ten of them to say the least, but two of them were pretty young-looking. One had blue hair and what looked like a tattoo on his face while beside him was a beautiful young woman with dark purple who was looking at him in what he thought was curiosity and a smile. He stood straight up, as he clicked his heels together, as he asked, "So… do I have any free rights or do I at least get a lawyer?"

"First things first," a shrewd member of the council spoke up, "Identify yourself."

"Benjamin K. Tennyson," Ben stated flat out, not flinching at all among the Council. "K stands for Kirby. Don't make any jokes about it, alright? I'm a Take-Over Mage… of sorts."

The council seemed to ignore the 'sorts' comment, but continued with their interrogation, "And where do you hail from? I doubt you're from around Earthland, as we've never seen footwear of what you're wearing."

Ben looked at his shoes, regretting on not switching footwear, a little. But still, he kept his cool, as he explained as best he could, "You're right, I'm not from around here, but I'm from a world similar to yours, although we're not as abundant in magic as you all are. We have something similar to it, though it's a bit easier to handle than spells."

They seemed to buy it, but pressed on, as they interrogated more, "If you're from another world, how did you end up here?"

"I hitched a ride with Vilgax and we're here to take over your realm," Ben sarcastically stated before he got serious again "No! Look. Here's the story: he was up to something, finding portals that lead to different versions of our worlds, he had a plan to destroy all of them by destroying the one that linked them all together. I fumbled up his operation and scrambled the coordinates, sending us here instead. Are you happy now?"

"Watch your tone, child," one of the elderly Mages shot at him.

Yajime chuckled, "Boy's got spunk."

"So in other words: you brought this evil among us," Siegrain concluded.

"Okay, you're seriously twisting the story in your favor," Ben stated. "I said I scrambled the coordinates; I didn't have a clue as to where we were going, much less if it still worked to send us anywhere at all." He sighed, as he tried to get all the frustration out of his voice, and calmly looked to the Council, "Look, I'm not your enemy. If anything, I'm trying to help as best I can."

"Then why did you reveal yourself to Fairy Tail and not to us," Ultear interrogated. "Why shouldn't we hand you over to this Vilgax?"

"Well, for one thing, I didn't have a clue as to where I was, and it was only by chance that I bumped into Fairy Tail. I needed the time to get my bearings. That, and you guys would rather pass judgment than listen to anything a stranger you haven't got a clue about first," Ben answered. "And second: I'm holding onto a weapon that would tip the balance of a war he's waging onto his favor. If he got me then everything comes crashing down to end it all."

Hearing this the council became serious and intrigued "What is this weapon your talking about?" Belno questioned since if this boy was guarding some ultimate weapon that Vilgax wanted then maybe it wasn't the right choice to hand him and the weapon over.

Ben blankly looked at her before shacking his head. "Sorry but I'm not going to tell you that." He said earning arguments from them.

"And why not! If your truly not a threat to us then why hold back information from us!?" Crawford demanded.

"Because I don't trust you people. I'm a person from another world far different than this one. Even if you guys are the part of the government who keeps the peace in this world that doesn't mean a thing to me cause your still strangers who I know nothing about. So therefore I'm not going to say anything I don't want to." Ben replied monotonously.

"Even so, you come into our world with some creature who threatens us with war and expect us to just let you do as you please. We think not, all of us have an obligation to ensure Fiore's safety and we will uphold it anyway we can. Now tell us about this Vilgax?" Org questioned wanting to know about the being who threatened them.

"Well I can tell you a very long list about Vilgax but I'll cut to the main points. He's power hungry, always wanting to find new ways to gain conquer worlds, he has no remorse in killing those who get in his way, he's a straight forward battler who never needs to bluff in order to take or get what he wants, he's a powerhouse who I estimate could take on just about any wizard in this world so unless you have super strong wizards then your out of your league." Ben explained.

"We'll decide what to do about him, but exactly what is your history with him?" Leiji asked this time.

Ben laughed at that. "Ha ha ha ha ha, what's my relation with Vilgax? I guess you could say he's an enemy that's been passed down in my family. Originally he was the sworn enemy of my grandpa in his younger years who always fought him and won which prevented him from destroying my world. But then all that changed years later when he was after the weapon I was talking about. The one who had it at that time had transported it to safety with the intention of having my grandpa obtain it but I was the one who found it instead and used it to oppose him ever since then for over 7 years." Ben said earning widened eyes from the council.

"You've been fighting him since you were a little kid!?" Ultear said in wonder as she couldn't believe a child opposed a supposedly dangerous being like him and still come out on top. Either the weapon he was guarding was more powerful or this Vilgax wasn't as dangerous as they thought.

"Yeah and it's been a real pain in my life ever since but I manage it." Ben commented.

"And I don't think you have to worry about this boy's allegiance to anyone," Makarov stood up at Ben's side, defending the lad. "In the time he's been in my guild, he's shed blood and precious sweat, even against Phantom Lord…"

"Makarov, you're only here to defend the boy, not to fight for him," Ultear pointed out rather rudely.

Makarov frowned, as he grumbled, "Don't tempt me."

At that moment, one of the Council members stated, "Well at least now with you, boy. We can come up with a suitable diplomatic solution…"

"What, like handing me over and in the hopes he'll leave?" Ben questioned, looking at the Council like they were a bunch of idiots. "This guy, Vilgax, there's no negotiating with him. There's no reasoning with him! He'll start a war and try to conquer it all for himself. That's what he does. That's all he ever does! He never makes negotiations cause he figures he can just take anything he wants and no one can stop him."

"Even so," Ultear began, as she looked at Ben rather distastefully, sensing he could be a problem in the future, "It's evident that you refused to acknowledge your existence to us willingly. That alone makes you a threat."

Ben sighed, as he fiddled with the Omnitrix lens, "Let's skip the small talk, shall we?"

Then suddenly in a green flash, Ben had transformed.

His new form looked like a mummy wearing a black head-dress, with two glowing green gaps on either side of it, and a gold rimming at the bottom. His green eyes are surrounded by crown-like golden spikes, his lower face is wrapped in bandages, and his chin is black with green gaps on it, with a golden beard-like spine jutting from it. The bandages are ragged, appeared to have multiple layers and were greyish-brown in color. His upper chest and shoulders are covered by a large collar/wrap-like garment with green and black stripes. He has black-and-gold pads on each shoulder, with each one having a green 'eye' on them, he had three toes on each foot and the Omnitrix is on a green-and-white belt around his waist.

"Cause Snare-Oh has a few things to say." The now mummy alien replied as he used his elasticity to slip of the cuffs that were restraining him with ease.

Thep Khufan AKA Snare-Oh

Snare-oh, formerly known as Benmummy, is the Omnitrix's DNA sample of a Thep Khufan from the planet Anur Khufos, a desert planet, of the Anur System. Thep Khufans are mummy-like creatures composed entirely of organic bandages. They are thin, humanoid-shaped with slight ape-like features on their limbs. Their shell-like heads resemble headpieces from ancient pharaohs, minus the nose and mouth. They wear skirt-like clothing on their waist, and 2 bandages dangling from their upper back. Their bodies are hollow, meaning they can store things in their chest. There are gaps between their bandages on their wrists, chest and ankles, as well as their eyes, that glow any color. They have a beak-like toothed mouth with a long tongue beneath their head bandages. Some Thep Khufans have bandages that stick out from their heads like hair, while others wear tall hats somewhat similar to the Crown of Egypt or the Nefertiti Cap Crown.

Thep Khufans have a very bizzare physiology, that being of a head-like shell with many extendable bandage like tendrils. This gives them numerous powers at their disposal such as stretching and enhanced strength. Thep Khufans' unique physiology also grants them vacuum immunity. Thep Khufans have incredible resistance to damage, with any or all vital organs held in the shell and the ability to regenerate their tendrils. Like all residents of the Anur System, they're immune to the effects of corrodium. Their bandages even block corrodium radiation, enabling them to carry corrodium inside them without irradiating anything nearby.

At first Ben had trouble figuring out how to use its powers properly but now after training he's learned all of Snare-Oh's powers, including some he never even knew about.

"How did you use magic!? Those cuffs were enchanted to prevent you from using it!?" Org questioned in outrage since those cuff were to restrain even a member of the Ten Wizard Saints and yet he got out of them as if they were toy cuffs.

"I'm from another world remember, the rules of magic don't affect me the way you think." Snare-Oh said before he walked forward to the Council, but was intercepted by two of the Rune Knights. However, he shot his hands at them, as they stretched out. They then wrapped around them, mummifying their bodies, but left their heads out to breathe. His hands then detached from his body, as a new pair of arms grew back out, as he looked to them all. "You're afraid of Vilgax and me because you can't control either of us. And you won't," he explained, but then reassured them, "But that doesn't make me an enemy of you."

"And who is? Vilgax?" one of the members shot out.

"That's what scares me at this point," Snare Oh confessed.

"Be that as it may, it's a liability to let you wander around, seeing as how he's after you," Ultear stated.

The mummy shook his head, "No, there's too much of value in this world for him to simply ignore and walk away on that. Now that he's seen what this world has to offer in the way of power. He's not gonna stop until he bleeds this world dry for any use in making weapons, components or new sources of power for fueling his equipment."

Siegrain then sat back, and calmly asked, "So let me ask: If we ultimately conclude that our world's security is best served by denying you further asylum on our world, will you leave peacefully if you found a way back?"

"If I find a way back, and if you make that request, I'll honor it." The Guards walked to him, as they were about to escort him out, but Ben stopped, as he turned to look at them, "But before you all decide, ask yourselves this: What if I do leave… and you're wrong?"

Makarov leaned in, as he pointed at the Council, "That's a very good question.."

The council thought about it for a moment, and then concluded, "Very well. We'll let you go for now, Benjamin Tennyson. But understand this: if we come across any news of Vilgax we shall assign you the duty of ensuring that this war is your own." Ben's Omnitrix timed out, as he changed back, as Seigrain stated, "That means you cannot involve Fairy Tail or any other guild to assist you on this."

"What?" Makarov shouted, but stopped as Yajima shook his head.

Ultear looked to him, as she stated, "You understand what this means, right? When this Vilgax resurfaces again… you're on your own."

Ben remained silent, until he nodded, "I understand."

But suddenly, they heard loud noises coming from outside, until finally, Team Natsu, Elfman, and even Cana showed, up as Natsu roared out, "ALRIGHT, BEN COME ON! WE'RE BUSTING YOU OUT OF…" but then stopped, as he looked blank at the scene involved with Ben not in chains and the guards all tied up, "… here?"

Ben sighed greatly, as he waved, "Hey guys. I think they were about to let me go."

Neb slapped himself on the face, as he groaned, "Great."

Afterwards

Back at Fairy Tail

Once Ben and Makarov had returned, along with the others that had accompanied to help Ben out, everyone was all a buzz of questions. They wanted to know why Ben had been taken to Era so roughly and in chains. But Makarov put their fears to good rest, stating that it was all a misunderstanding on the subject, and that Ben was cleared of charges. And once that was put to rest, Makarov hopped onto the table, as he shouted, "And now that Ben's back, we'll put the reconstruction of the Guild on hold for now, and have ourselves a celebratory Party, both on Ben's innocence as well as our victory over Phantom Lord!"

Everyone cheered, as they began to break out the drinks, the food, and some good old fashioned music, which sounded modern, amazingly to Ben. Suddenly, Happy zoomed up to Neb, as he hugged him, which got Neb freaked out, as he shouted, "WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU HUGGING ME FOR?!"

"Ben told me to," Happy smiled, his tail wagging like a puppy's as Neb spun his head to Ben who gave him a smirk and raised his glass like if he was having a toast.

"Get away from me!" Neb hissed while trying to free his arms so he could reach his proto tool. "I said I don't like being hugged by guys!"

But Happy kept hugging him, "No! I know you like it."

"I DO NOT YOU CRAZY GENDER CONFUSED CAT!" Neb yelled as everyone laughed at that.

As everyone was cheering on for a good event that had happened today, Ben casually sipped a mug of some of the best cranberry non-alcoholic beverage in all of Magnolia. He smirked as he watched them all party, while inside he was dreading of what would soon come to pass. He knew Vilgax wouldn't stay quiet for much longer.

Elsewhere

Far Away in a Mountain Area

On a pathway leading to a secret base was a prison wagon being driven by 2 drivers and accompanied by over 20 of the Rune Knights high ranked soldiers, 16 guys and 4 women. They were each a squad leader of a small battalion who were sent on a mission to ensure the prison transport of a dangerous criminal who's been recently branded as one.

"I can't believe we were all dragged into doing this prison transport mission." A male Rune Knight with black hair, brown eyes, a scar on his chin and an athletic body said in annoyance.

"Quit your whining and act with some professionalism why don't you?" A female Rune Knight with dark blue hair, green eyes and a curvy body with large breasts hidden by her cloak shot at the complaining member of the team.

"Hmp, I don't even know why we're bothering moving this guy to a maximum security prison. The man hasn't done or said a word since he was brought in." The complaining knight remarked.

"Even if he's in a state of shock or something, he's still considered a threat to the public. That's why we must make sure he's secured in the most fortified prison we have." Another male Rune Knight replied. He was wearing a helmet that hid his hair and had yellow eyes that were honed from experience.

"That's why we're all here, to make sure he arrives with no trouble. After all since he may still have associates on the outside we're here to ensure he does not escape from us." Another female knight answered. She had brown hair that was tied into a ponytail that reached her mid back, caramel colored eyes and a lovely figure that was more womanly like.

Inside the prison wagon was the prisoner they were transporting who remained silent. He had pale skin and grey hair like an old man and his body was slightly shaking fearfully like if he was traumatized.

After his defeat at Makarov's hands they had apprehended him, Sol and Aria of the Element Four. The other two Totomaru of the flame and Juvia of the rain had escaped and vanished before they could be arrested. Jose had been found where Makarov left him shielding himself and looking frozen in a state of shock.

Inside, Jose was sitting on a bench chained up to the floor and wall, even though it didn't seem necessary. His hands were chained in special magic blocking cuffs that prevented him from using any kind of magic and were made of a sturdy alloy that he couldn't break with simple strength. His hair and skin were still pale with his body still shaking as well, horrified due to the effects of whatever Fairy Law did to him. But on the inside however, his mind was still functioning and contemplating. He had been beaten and humiliated by those weak Fairy Tail fools and Makarov… but what really made him angry for blood, was the fact that a lowly Take Over wizard who wasn't even S-Class, had somehow managed to destroy his Jupiter Cannon, defeat two of his Element 4 Mages and had somehow managed to put up a fight against him and even hold his own almost like an equal before he ran out of magic and was saved by Makarov who took advantage of his weakened state and defeated him. That had to be the only explanation for how he was easily beaten.

His frightened form began to shiver, as he asked himself, "How? How did he beat me? How?" but then, it finally clicked in, as he remembered a certain message the council had sent him asking to report if he found a person who went by the name Ben Tennyson. Suddenly his mind processed what he had just discovered as his head careened upward, as his frightened eyes went wide and bloodshot, "He's that Tennyson!"

Suddenly, he heard loud sounds emanating from the outside as he turned his head in perplexity. What he heard where the sounds of the Rune Knights shouting something before he heard the sound of magic attacks being fired followed by small explosions. The sounds continued as he heard the Rune Knights voices shouting in many ways. There were screams, shouts of agony and for a moment he could've sworn that he heard girly yelps of embarrassment or fright. In time he heard the voices beginning to disappear one by one as they seemed to be silenced. Finally when it was over, silence filled the room as he wondered if it was a member of his precious guild that had come to rescue him.

Jose slowly stood up from his seat, his body no longer shaking as his eyes seemed to have regained some of their light back to his old self as he waited to see if he was going to be saved or if this was something worse.

As if someone heard his thoughts, the doors to the wagon received a large dent before they were torn clean of their hinges and thrown to the side as light flooded the inside as Jose covered his eyes from the sudden entrance of light as his eyes adjusted to see who had opened them.

In front of him was a figure wrapped in a cloak and wearing a bizarre black colored looking metal mask that looked fiendish in nature.

"W… who… Who are you?" Jose questioned weakly as he was still nowhere near full strength.

The figure didn't answer him as he silently walked towards him and once he got in front of him he raised his hand as if he was going to strike him down.

Reacting fearfully Jose covered himself with his arms in a feeble attempt to defend himself when the figure suddenly brought his arm down in a karate chop gesture and cut the chains holding his arm. Jose opened his eyes in surprise after hearing the sounds of snapping only to see him do the same thing to the magic blocking cuff's on his hands and then to the ones tying his legs which just left the shackles and some small chains still attacked to them.

"Follow me." The figure said in a mysterious deep voice as Jose followed him outside the vehicle to see what became of the Rune Knight's. It was then when he stepped out that he saw that the Rune Knights had all been defeated. There were two of them that were unconsciously hanging atop a tree branch by their underwear that was somehow stretched to impossible proportions. All of the female Rune Knights had been stripped down, and were huddled together in a corner, doing their best to cover themselves up as they stared at the figure in fear, disgust and most of all hatred for their own personal reasons. All the other male knights were all lying on the floor looking dead or unconscious, Jose wasn't sure which.

"Like what I've done with them?" the figure asked Jose who didn't really answer other than just nodding. "You asked me who I was before." He said before he seemed to push a button on his collar as his mask seemed to retract itself, revealing a pale white skinned face with yellow eyes and black rings around them. "Well my name's Death and from this point on you can consider me your new best friend." The now revealed Death said humorously to the unsettled Jose.
