Oh, How Mysterious

Toon Link, Ness, Lucas, Kirby, and Popo are all siting around the T.V. watching reruns of Invader Zim. It is Saturday morning, and the brawls for today won't start until about 1:00 this afternoon. Ike walks into the lounge room and sees the kids. He asks them what the heck they are watching, but they are all so engrossed into it that none of them respond. Ike simply walks out.

Pit and Link are the only ones still in the lunch room. Link just woke up, so he is having a late breakfast. Pit is cleaning up the tables because Bowser didn't like he was supposed to. Ike walks in.

Link looks up at Ike from his cereal. "Hello Ike." Note that he doesn't greet Ike with 'good morning'.

Ike just waves. Pit asks, "What's the schedule for today, Ike?"

"I have a brawl with Meta Knight and R.O.B today at 1:30."

Link smiles. "Interrupt his train-of-thought again and see what happens."

"HM?" Pit has no idea what they are talking about.

Ike explains, "The other day just before my battle with Olimar and Zelda, I had apparently interrupted Meta Knight's train-of-thought and he yelled at me."

Pit can't help but laugh.

Ike looks at Link. "Why would I do that again?"

"It is hilarious." Link explains, finishing the last bite of his cereal.

Ike shakes his head with a smile. "Not when the next thing you know there is a flash of gold and an angry knight."

Pit says, "Speaking of him, I just remembered that he wasn't at breakfast this morning."

Ike gets confused. "Wait, Meta Knight wasn't at breakfast? Where else would he be?"

Meanwhile

Lucario stands on Crazy Hand. Just as Meta Knight and Lucario were headed to breakfast, Crazy Hand tossed a brick through a window. For battle practice, Meta Knight and Lucario decided to fight off the floating hand. Crazy Hand, now beaten and bruised, lies on the ground with Lucario standing on his palm.

Lucario thinks of a question. "Why would Crazy Hand toss a brick through the window?" Meta Knight stops sharpening Galaxia to ponder the question. He sets down the rock he was using and runs back inside.

The brick is gone. Only the glass shards sit on the floor.

Peach walks up and gasps. "Meta Knight, did you do this?"

"I did not. Lucario watched with me as Crazy Hand tossed a brick at the window." Meta Knight answers as politely as possible, remaining calm.

Peach smiles and happily skips away after stating that she would tell Master Hand.

That woman might need to see a doctor about that unceasing happiness of hers.

Lucario walks in. He says, "King Dedede is out there watching Crazy."

"Lucario, you just left Dedede outside with Crazy Hand." Meta Knight leaves out the 'you're so stupid' part.

Lucario has to think about that for a second. "OH." The two look out the window. A piece of cake hangs on a string. Dedede follows the cake, totally ignoring Crazy Hand.

Jigglypuff walks up behind the two looking out the window. "Hey guys. What are you looking at?"

"Flying cake?" Lucario asks.

Jigglypuff gasps with happiness. Flying cake! So dreams do come true!

Meta Knight and Lucario take one glimpse at each other and scramble outside. Jigglypuff follows.

Dedede, the cake, and Crazy Hand are gone. Jigglypuff asks, "Cake?"

"This isn't about cake, Jigglypuff." Meta Knight explains. "Lucario and I beat Crazy Hand after he broke the window with a brick. The brick disappeared. Lucario left Dedede to watch Crazy Hand. Now Dedede was led away with cake and Crazy is gone."

"Are you sure this isn't a dream?" Jigglypuff wonders if she is just a figment of somebody's imagination.

Meta Knight laughs. "My alarm clock actually woke me this morning, Jigglypuff. This is real."

Fox walks outside. "Have any of you seen Dedede?"

Lucario says, "He just went chasing after a flying piece of cake."

Fox stares for a second. "Ok then. Do you think Nana chased after a flying piece of cake, too?"

Jigglypuff turns her body to face Fox. She asks, "Wait, what?"

"Nana isn't with Popo watching T.V. Falco and I wondered where she was." With that said, Fox walks back inside. Lucario follows him back inside.

Nana lies on the roof looking down at Meta Knight and Jigglypuff.

Jigglypuff says, "This is a strange way to start off Saturday."

Meta Knight nods. "Would we like Saturday any other way?"

Jigglypuff smiles. That quick wit of Meta Knight's always seems to amaze her. She clears her throat. "You know, I while back, I found Nana in the laundry room. She was acting strange."

"Jigglypuff, if you see anything else strange, you know where to find me. Something isn't right around here."

That comforts Jigglypuff; not the "something isn't right" part, but the first sentence. Meta Knight walks back inside. Jigglypuff thinks to herself about the situation. OH, how mysterious.

Author's Notes- Believe it or not, but I'm running out of ideas. I've got this mystery thing going, but I would like to involve some more characters and crazy situations, threating Jigglypuff and Meta Knight's relationship.
