Lucius lead the Malfoy's and Harry into Petunia's given room shortly after they had finished breakfast and smiled gently at the injured woman, greeting her. "Good morning, I hope. Are you feeling alright all things considered? I've been informed that you remember meeting myself but nothing after doing the packing you managed to do before the monster attacked you. This is my wife, Narcissa Malfoy and our son Draco." He introduced cordially, keeping his voice quiet and controlled while around an injured lady.

"Narcissa?" Petunia asked, quietly. "Hermione said you helped her heal me?" She looked nervously at the new woman in the room, but Narcissa smiled warmly at her.

"I did my best, especially before Harry could get his friend here." Narcissa replied warmly, approaching the bed a little more, while Draco and Harry stood off to the side a little awkwardly now.

"Thank you for all you did. And you helped Dudley settle in here?" Petunia turned to Draco curiously, wanting to find out if this was another of Harry's friends for her to meet, although from how Lucius and Harry had spoken the day before she doubted it.

Draco nodded a little. "Well, I tried. Harry's got us working together to try and make a tee-vee work in the manor."

"He has his own library, but no television. It's weird, mum." Dudley couldn't help saying, making Harry and Hermione laugh a little. "I mean I know magic can blow them up, Dennis and Colin told me that much, but he hadn't heard of one!"

Petunia grinned at her son. "Dudley, I think you're embarassing Draco. Not many wizards know much about the muggle world, and even the ones that think they do can be a little strange over it. Remember Mr Weasley when Harry was fourteen?"

"What did Arthur do, that year?" Lucius asked, a little confused by the conversation going on.

Petunia and Dudley looked to Harry, knowing he'd understand what happened best out of the three of them. "Tried to floo to their living room when they had an electric fireplace covering the original one, then blow it up and ask if it had a plug before explaining that he collects plugs and batteries. Well, four of them might have been in the space the old fireplace was before they blew the electric one up. It was quite a funny thing for me to listen to, but I think my relatives were a little scared by it." Harry explained, attempting to hide his amusement.

The Malfoy's all grinned at him, which was a little surreal for both Harry and Hermione, who were used to the controlled, emotionless Malfoy persona's displayed to the public. "So he doesn't actually know the muggle world much?" Lucius asked, some mocking joy in his tone.

"That's wrong. He did know stuff about the muggle world, he was just a little... over enthusiastic about it." Petunia said trying to remember a bit more about how Lily sometimes spoke about the kids she'd known and their knowledge of the wiarding world after starting Hogwarts. After a moment she tilted her head at Lucius. "Severus knew you when you were kids, didn't he? I just remembered Lily saying something to him about a Lucius being a bad influence on him in the summer before they fell out. She'd be happy you're changing a little, I think."

Harry saw the small wince the went through the Malfoy's at the mention of Snape, and finally remembered how close the family had been to the potions master. Mixing a grieving family with a woman who hadn't yet been updated on the deaths in the war and there could be a few problems. "Can I talk to my cousin and aunt alone for a while? I should probably tell them a little more about the war and what happened during it." He suggested, recognising Lucius didn't seem to know how to react to his Aunts words.

"Sure Harry." Hermione agreed straight away, having seen the same things as Harry, and knowing it would be a good time, as the Malfoy's were obviously still dealling with their grief over Snape, just like the Weasley's, along with Harry and Hermione, were over Fred.

The room emptied after a few moments, with all the Malfoy's making promises to visit Petunia later on, Draco asking Dudley to join him on the TV project in his room after they'd finished chatting and Hermione saying she'd be nearby in case Petunia needed her.

"Was it something I said?" Petunia asked, concerned over the change in the room.

Harry nodded slowly. "Sort of. I doubt they knew how to react to the things you just said, especially now. I would have told you sooner but I forgot that you knew Professor Snape as well. He died in the final battle. There was a while when I needed to get rid of somethings so Voldemort could die properly, so I'd left the battle to try and find him and the last of those things. Snape was there and I arrived just as Voldemort ordered his pet snake, to kill him. He was close to the Malfoy's, and was Draco's godfather too, I believe."

"He's dead?" Petunia gasped, a little shocked at losing the last living connection to the magic in her childhood.

"He died protecting secrets that saved and killed me." Harry nodded solemnly, thankful that Dudley was keeping silent through the conversation so far. "I'm lucky though. Things that happened between my magic and Voldemort's, soul pieces and blood magic, meant that he could kill me once more and I'd survive, but I could rebound his curse back at him and he'd remain dead later in the battle. The secrets which caused that were the ones which Severus Snape died hiding, only giving me memories about them in his dying moments after Voldemort had left him."

Dudley looked at Harry, his eyes holding a lost expression as they searched Harry's face. "You died and came back to life? Who else did you lose in the battle?"

"Yes I died and came back. We lost many good people, luckily more bad than good though. The only other person I think you know who died though was Fred Weasley, one of the twins. Unless you met my father's best friends, in which case we lost the last of my fathers best friends that night also, along with his wife. I'm godfather to their child, and Merlin knows how I'm going to look after Teddy, especially while Andromeda is mourning too." Harry's expression was heartbreaking, and for the first time in his memory, Aunt Petunia was pulling him towards her and embracing him, her tears from the news of the battle running into his hair, while Dudley sat looking sad but confused over it because he never knew the people being spoken about as anything more than passing aquaintences.

"Will I need to be careful bringing up Severus around the Malfoy's?" Petunia finally asked after five minutes or more sitting like that, letting Harry stay in her embrace for the moment though, remembering all the times when he'd been growing up that she hadn't wanted to comfort her nephew but should have.

Harry nodded into her shoulder. "I would be, just in case you do upset them about it." He advised, before pulling back from the hug. "Do you want me to tell you more about what happened during the year we were at war?"

"Where did you go, after sending us to the safe house?" Dudley asked, almost automatically.

"Well, first I got taken to..." Harry began telling the stories, now trying to focus on the lighter side of things, thinking there was enough depression in the story to make it necessary.

Sorry I haven't updated in forever, I have a million other things on my mind, and will try to remember this more often, but I make no promises
