Chapter 9: A Sweet Thanks
On the way home, Gokudera was very obvious about it. He was unexpectedly quiet until he told Tsuna, "Juudaime, I-I just need to do something. You can go ahead first. Is that alright with you?"
"I'll be fine, Gokudera-kun." Gokudera was running, not walking, down the path Yamamoto had taken.
"And Gokudera-kun, everything will be alright. Just talk to him..." Tsuna added. A "hai" was the only reply from the storm guardian.
"I should go and see him. I want to see him," the tuna said as he walked back to the school.
* Flashback ends*
While the sun was setting, a little herbivore was, you could say he was a slow runner but he was fast enough to reach his destination. Before he reached the school of Namimori, Tsunayoshi got a lot of bruises from falling over his own feet. In short, he was clumsy. He was panting hard and gasping for the damn air that all living organisms need. Just as he reached his destination, he realized that the sun's shine had already been replaced by the moon's light. A small " hiiiieee!" escaped from his lips.
Shaking, trembling, and feeling the nervous throughout his body, Tsunayoshi stepped forward. He was like a turtle with how slow he moved and how shaky his feet were. The door was open, thus he made his way through the corridor of the first floor of the school building. So dark, was the first thing he noticed. He thought, Why not turn on the lights on?What's the purpose of having the lights if you don't even use them? He screamed all his stresses in his mind.
He proceeded to walk down the dark corridor. Silence filled the whole area until he heard some footsteps that were coming on his way. The louder the footsteps, the higher the chance that they were getting closer. One two, one two, the beat of Tsuna's heart was joined to the sounds of the footsteps. Tsuna was scared, afraid of what it was or who was it behind those creepy footsteps. He thought that maybe some of his classmates were making fun of him, but he "shooed" those thoughts away since he knew that they would never waste their time scaring him.
A bad person, a monster or...a ghost? Those thoughts filled his brain. He was afraid of a ghost as if he were a girl. Wishing he was a fearless guy, he knew a ghost would make him scream like a girl or even pee his pants like some little kids do. Tsuna didn't like it. He knew that he was a coward, a chicken, and a fearful guy. But a ghost, a monster or anything that was scary, he didn't like it. That's the person he was, he could never change that fact.
Buddha, Kamisama (God), and all the Gods and Goddesses of Greek Mythology and in heaven, please, whoever makes this weird creepy footsteps, please, don't let it hurt me. I-I don't want to die yet. Tsuna prayed. He knelt with his eyes closed, lips quivering and rubbing together his two little hands. Sweat rolled down his cheeks. Tsuna wanted to be brave but it was the opposite. He was really frightened.
The sound was getting louder. Tsuna wanted to run, to run away from the sound but he couldn't. It was not want he wanted to do, but his body and feet betrayed him. To simplify, he couldn't move because of how scary he was. He waited for what would happen, until... a hand grabbed his hand harshly. Tsuna shrieked with his high pitched voice. He screamed thinking it would help him to escape from his captor's grasp. But no, it only caused him to tighten the grip on his hand. Tsuna's struggles didn't change the situation. It was still the same. His captor's hand was all over his wrist, but something suspicious...
Tsuna's captor wasn't doing anything, just holding his wrist. It didn't hurt. Whoever Tsuna's captor was, he wasn't planning anything. Who cared if he wasn't? Tsuna just wanted to break free. Once again he screamed, struggled and tears formed into his caramel eyes.
Tsuna hiccupped as he asked, "O... negai, let go." Pausing to hiccup again, he continued, "…of my ha-hand..." Tsuna's hiccups echoed through the dark corridor before he continued, "P-Please, do-don't h-hurt m-me."
"Tsunayoshi."
I know that voice... Could it be...? Tsuna analyzed the voice that came from his captor. "Hibari-san," he said out loud.
Hibari's, "Tsunayoshi, what are you-" was cut off by the herbivore was holding with care.
"Hibari-san! Hibari-san! Hibari-san!" was followed by an outburst of tears while repeating Hibari's name. Tsuna hugged Hibari while he cried with all his might. Clutching onto his shirt, Tsuna buried his face into the prefect's shirt.
Still hiccupping, Tsuna whispered, "Hibari-san... I…" Hiccup. "W-Was... so…" Hiccup. "S-Scared. I…" Hiccup. "Just wanted... to see…" Hiccup. "You... That's w-why…" Hiccup. "I came h-here..."
Calming Tsuna, the skylark patted the brunet's back. A slight smile grew on his face. However, the little tuna didn't relax as Hibari wanted. Not knowing what to do, Hibari just hugged him back and buried his nose and mouth in the unexpectedly fluffy brown locks of Tsuna's. It smelled good. They were extremely close to each other and Hibari didn't want to end the moment. His two hands were gently placed around the slim waist of the brunet. The corridor was soundless as there was no more crying sounds or hiccups. Hibari thought that maybe Tsuna had relaxed after being hugged by him.
"Are you okay now, herbivore?" Not breaking the hug, Hibari lifted his head and looked at Tsuna. He touched the cheek of the brunet. Even though it was dark, he knew the brunet was in a flush mode, like always.
"H-Hai, arigatou, Hibari-san... I thought Hibari-san was a... ghost. So, I was so scared. Lame as always, hehe..." A forced laugh escaped from his lips.
"Ghost," he whispered near Tsuna's ear. That's when Hibari's breath touched Tsuna's neck and made him shiver down his spine. He continued, "Boo."
"Hieee! Hibari-san!" Tsuna shrieked. In that dark place, he knew that the prefect was smirking. The smirk suited him and was very sexy.
Realizing that they were very close and could kiss at any moment, Tsuna backed away and swayed as some perverted thoughts ran through his mind. He realized that it was still dark and pulled away, losing contact with the prefect and causing his fears to come back. Groping for a hand that he could reach him up, in the end he failed.
"Hibari-san, w-where are you?"
"I'm here, right beside you."
"Can you h-hold my h-hand?" Tsuna asked shyly.
There was no reply from the skylark, but a hand touched his hand. Even though he expected it, he still couldn't shake the giddy feeling taking over everything in his body and mind. Being tugged along in an unknown direction, he just let Hibari lead the way for him. Tsuna was thankful that no lights were on and Hibari couldn't see his flushing face. His hand was squeezed by the prefect. His smile plus blush was too CUTE...
Speaking of Hibari, he entered a room followed by Tsuna. Hibari groped for the light switch. Adjusting his eyes, Hibari let go and walked to his usual chair.
"Sit, herbivore." There was the herbivore thing. Pouting and frowning, Tsuna really liked it when Hibari said his given name.
"I'll be direct, herbivore. I'll be your tutor for the following week until the baby comes back."
"Eh? What? Why? When?"
"Are you not listening herbivore?"
"I was but..."
"No buts, herbivore, and..."
"And?"
"We can spend some time together." He walked over and sat next to Tsuna.
Spend time with Hibari-san. Closing the gap between them, Hibari lifted up Tsuna's chin and kissed him tenderly. Smooth, that was how Tsuna's lips felt to Hibari. Hibari's lips were moist. Before kissing the brunet, he had licked his lips to moist them up. Both enjoyed the moment and only parted when they needed oxygen. A string of saliva connected the two, but it was licked away by Hibari.
"You can have more of this starting tomorrow. So try your best, her- Tsunayoshi." He gave Tsuna a quick peck on the lips before smirking.
More of this... Hibari-san's kiss. Tsuna spaced out a second but blushed after his brain registered everything.
"Time to go home, Tsunayoshi. I'll walk you." Hibari's offering showed his kindness. Tsuna just nodded and smiled in return.
Maybe I should thank Reborn about this one... Maybe...-
