A/N: Hey guys thanks for your patience I am sooooooooo sorry i haven't been updating lately but I wanted to let you know that I had been very busy I've spent a lot of time working on this chapter and hope to get chapter 11 done soon.

Chapter 10: Bending Beauty

Danny's Thoughts:
I can't' believe this, I just can't think that of all places she'd show up here. Why would she go after old people, I thought her thing was youth, not the elderly. How can stealing youth from old people make her young and pretty sneaky of her to use a different name. I have to talk to Katara.

Katara's Thoughts:

I can't that this woman has the same name as my mother. Did her parents know her? And if she's been talking to Gran-Gran then maybe she's responsible for what's happening to her? I have to talk to Aang.

Aang's Thoughts:

What's happening? We just saved the world and now it's in danger again, what are we supposed to do here? What's happening to Katara's grandmother? What is Danny not telling me? I have to talk to Danny.

When Aang turned around Danny was walking toward Katara who was walking toward him so he decided to meet them both in the middle.

"Katara, I need to know exactly what your grandmother looks like now and how she is feeling." said Danny very sternly

"Why, do you know what's going on, can you help because if not I suggest you move so I can talk to Aang" yelled Katara

"Danny I need to talk to you." said Aang as he walked past Katara

"Aang I need to talk to you now." yelled Katara

"Well I need to speak with Danny right now" said Aang

"Well, I need to talk to Katara." said Danny

The three began arguing very loudly and people took notice

"Hey" yelled Sokka but the three kept arguing

"HEY!" he yelled louder

The got louder too

"HEY!" yelled Sokka at his loudest

"What is going on here", asked Sokka

"I need to talk to Aang, who wants to talk to Danny, who wants to talk to me." said Katara, "and what I have to say is really important and I need Aang's full attention."

"Well what I have to ask Danny is more important." said Aang

Danny thought for a moment and when he spoke he said, "Guys I think all our questions have to do with the same thing." Danny explained how he and Aang both overheard the conversation between Katara and Pakku.

"I think I know who might be doing this." said Danny

Everyone else from each team ran over when they sensed the tension die down.

After explaining to them what was going on everyone from Team Phantom immediately thought of who Danny thought of.

"Do you think it could really be her" asked Jazz

"She's done it before." said Danny

"Who, what?" aksed Toph

"Her name is Penelope Spectra, she's a ghost who will suck the youth and cheerfulness out of anyone so she can stay young, but what puzzles me is why she would go after older people, normally younger people hold more youthful energy for her." said Danny

"She's done a lot of twisted things but this takes the cake." said Sam

"What puzzles me more is why haven't Dani or I been able to detect her with our ghost sense." said Danny

"Maybe it's this universe messing with our powers" said Dani

"That's what I'm afraid of." said Danny

"Hey it's getting late and the full moon is coming out, how about we set up camp under the stars and get some sleep, we can figure this out in the morning." said Sokka

"It's a little cold don't you think" asked Toph

"We'll make a fire to keep warm, but if this is a ghost I wanna also be able to keep watch through the night." said Sokka

"Understood." said Danny

A few hours later everyone including Sokka had fallen asleep and were snoring pretty loudly, when suddenly something strange happened…

Sam, still sleeping, rose and walked toward a mysterious hut at the edge of the village but half way there she awoke and realized her body was being controlled but before she could scream for help she was inside the hut and stood face to face with a woman.

Danny awoke feeling that something strange was amiss, he looked around to find his hunch correct.

"Hey Tuck, you seen Sam" asked an obviously worried Danny

Tucker stirred in his sleep, irritated that Danny is trying to wake him up, so he turned over to ignore him.

"Tucker, this is serious, have you seen Sam I think she wandered off." Said Danny

Inside the hut Sam stood face to face with a woman whose eyes began to glow green.

"Spectra" said Sam sharply

"Oh it's not just me, meet the new friends who so graciously agreed to let me use her body as a vessel" said Spectra

Spectra stepped out of the body to introduce and the body immediately went from young to old and the woman introduced herself

"Hello my name is Hama" said the woman

"Hama?" Asked Sam

"I'm surprised they haven't mentioned me yet." said Hama, "Let's just say I'm the reason Katara has an unwanted skill."

"What do you mean?" asked Sam in a concerned tone.

"Long ago, the four nations lived in harmony, then everything changed when the fire nation attacked. Only the avatar, master of all four elements could stop them, but when the world need him most, he vanished. The fire nation then began to attack the other nations looking for the next avatar in the cycle. The element was water. They captured me and countless other benders to keep the avatar from surfacing. well, one day I escaped." said Hama

"How?" said Sam even more perplexed

"They tried to keep us waterbenders in dry environments, but I found a new use for my bending, I invented blood bending." said Hama

Sam's mind immediately flashed back to how Katara started crying when Tucker asked her about bending blood.

"HOW CAN YOU DO THAT, HOW CAN YOU FORCE PEOPLE TO DO WHAT YOU WANT, WHAT ABOUT FREEDOM, EQUALITY, JUSTICE?!" yelled Sam

"WHAT DO YOU THINK I WAS TRYING TO GET!" yelled Hama

"What?" said Sam

"I used my bending to exact revenge on the fire nation and Team Avatar stopped me." said Hama

"Well, maybe you were using your skill for the wrong reason, you can't just get revenge, I heard about Aang and how he stopped Ozai, without resorting to murder, do you honestly think that using your bending to take someone's freedom is right?" said Sam

"They took mine, so, I figured why not take theirs." said Hama

"If they locked you up, how did you escape?" asked Sam

"I can explain that." interrupted Spectra, " One day while flying through the ghost zone I was pulled through a portal that dropped me in front of a prison, so I figured why not find the most dangerous one and free them. Once I lurked around the jail long enough I discovered that Hama was the all time villain in that particular prison. I used my powers to free her, her hands were chained and covered and her neck and head held still, her feet chained to the wall and she was in a cage suspended above the ground."

"They must have been trying to keep her away from water., and make sure she couldn't move so she couldn't bend" said Sam

"My, my, Spectra did say you were smart." said Hama

Sam scoffed, "Flattery will get you nowhere"

"Who said I was trying to flatter you." said Hama with a chuckle," I was simply making an observation."

Hama resumed Spectra's story,"After Spectra freed me she and I made a deal, I'd let her use my body as a vessel for youth, and she'd help me get revenge on that rotten Team Avatar."

"Ok Hama, enough chit chat, I can sense that Phantom brat lurking nearby, let's get out of here." said Spectra with a rushing tone.

Spectra quickly overshadowed Hama and they fled together.

Danny rushed into the tent and saw Sam standing there.

"SAM!" he exclaimed, "You're ok, I thought you'd been kidnapped."

"I'm fine, but I was kidnapped.", she said

"WHAT!" he said growing angry, "WHO DID THIS, WHEN I FIND THEM I'LL…"

His anger calmed when Sam gave him a concerned look.

"I appreciate your concern,but I know how to handle myself", said Sam, "I don't want you getting to worked up over this."

"Why shouldn't I, you could've been hurt." said Danny

"But I wasn't, I'm fine, I've got a spector deflector, and I got some information." said Sam, "I know who's doing this"

"You do, we have to tell everyone." said Danny rushing Sam out of the hut and back to their friends.

Sam told the group everything that happened, how she was brought to the hut, how Spectra met Hama, and their alliance.

"But what are they planning specifically, I mean it's obvious that they want revenge but…" said Katara, "...what puzzles me is why they would go after Gran Gran, if this Spectra feeds off of youth, why not target the younger people in the village."

"What I want to know is why come here in the first place." said Sokka

"What do you mean?" asked Dani

"Well,there are plenty of young people all over the world, so why come here, they could easily steal the youth all over and get away with it." said Sokka, "not to mention the length of time they've probably been here also worries me."

"Do you think they're planning something?" asked Zuko

"I do, I think Gran Gran was just a diversion." said Sokka, "Hama told us once that she was from here before she was captured and Gran Gran was her friend too."

"You think she used Gran Gran as a warning signal?" asked Katara

Sokka lowered his head, he didn't want to believe it but that might be the only logical explanation.

"But why go after Sam in the middle of the night?" asked Tucker

"They're going after what they know we'll protect." said Danny with a stern voice.

"What?" asked Toph

"They know that Katara's grandmother is important to her, that Sam is important to me, that's why they're targeting them, they used them to make their presence known to us. They wanted us to know that they were here and they were planning something big." said Danny

"But what could they be planning." asked Toph

Just then Dani, and Danny sensed someone listening in on their convorsation.

"Who's there?" they all said in unison.

"I think were being watched by a ghost" said Danny
