When Chiria awakens she feels nothing but intense pain. Angston, Sakura and Sasuke were almost by her 100% of the time. She dared not to move, instead sleeping as often as possible as she was spoon fed and constantly fawned over by nurses when Sakura went home and Tsunade was unable to tend to her. Her spiritual training became more and more intense, but she knew it was no replacement for physical combat. After 3 weeks and intensive care, Chiria sits up out of bed, making Sakura drop the bowl of soup she has. Chiria catches it and she smiles "I'm up." Sakura smiles "I'm glad to see you okay. We got very worried." Chiria shakes her head "I was alive… just in an insane amount of pain. Moving… I couldn't bring myself to do it. But boy am I stiff." She stands and collapses on the floor, soup spilling all over and she tries to push herself up only to slip and smack her face into the floor. Sakura helps her stand slowly "Back to bed young lady." Chiria shakes her head "Lying in bed isn't going to help my muscles loosen back up so I can go back to fighting." Sakura puts a hand on her shoulder "You should be dead, you realize that right? You need to take it easy." Chiria smiles "Yes ma'am. I'll only do 150 one handed pushups a day until I'm back to 100%." Sakura pokes her chest "Listen here missy. I didn't spend three weeks healing you so you could kill yourself with your training. I will beat you down so you can't leave that bed if I have to." Tsunade clears her throat, standing out in the hall "Sakura, please go tend to the ninja in cell b, team 10 just returned from a rough mission." Sakura runs off and Tsunade walks in. Chiria smiles "So, how goes the battle against the Akatsuki?" Tsunade smiles a little "Good news it seems. Kakazu, Hidan, Kisame and Deidara were killed of course prior to the invasion of Pain. Sasori was working behind the scenes and helping organize some attacks by mercenary groups on the Sand Village, but with the help of the Kazekage, the Team 10 just took down Sasori. The injuries are minor, so they will live." Chiria nods "Great." Tsunade smiles "Follow me."
Tsunade takes Chiria to her office then turns to her and sighs "Well, I have something important I had to say. It's come to my attention that this whole village owes you its lives. You have proven to be far stronger than any other, myself included. So I believe it only proper that you take my place as Hokage." Chiria shakes her head "No, I'm not going to take your job." Tsunade shakes her head "I'm not giving you much choice. This village needs someone who is powerful enough to overcome any foe despite the odds. I saw you come back to life, before my eyes, when we had confirmed that your very spirit was no longer in your body. You were not just dead, there was nothing left of you but a husk. But here you stand, alive and well, despite the hell Pain put you through. And we need someone with that brutal tenacity." Chiria hangs her head "I'm not nearly old enough to take on such a task." The Kazekage, Gaara, walks in, smiling "No, you can do whatever you set your mind to. I've seen that with you leaf village ninja. Resilient fighters, honorable and very spirited. Like your cell of fighters that aided me in eliminating Sasori. Tsunade smiles "Ahh, to what do I owe this visit, Lord Kazekage?" Gaara holds up a briefcase "There was a bounty on Sasori. Though it was a group effort, Choji, I believe his name was Choji, was the one to finish the missing-nin so I believe that we owe you a debt for aiding…" Tsunade shakes her head "Keep it. You will all need it, you heard Madara in his grand appearance at the Kage summit. And taking care of his brute Jugo and… Naruto… it's going to prove to be quite the challenge."
Chiria watches the nine tails and eight tails battling fiercely, the nine tails managing to tackle the eight tails down "I told you I was superior!" One of Gyuki's tails wraps around Kurama's neck, and Kurama forms a point blank tail beast bomb, only for Chiria to kick him in the head hard enough to deflect the attack towards cliffs to the side. Chiria signs "Lava Style: Grand Heat Dome!" Earth forms around Kurama quickly, encasing him easily and then the temperature inside the dome skyrockets. Kurama forms a Tailed Beast Ball and fires it at the dome wall but the wall manages to contain the explosion, crumbling and Naruto stands in the dust then rushes towards Chiria. Chiria and B easily overwhelm Naruto who is in his two tailed form, but neither can deal much damage as the beast's chakra armors him. B turns to Chiria "You came at the right time yo, I wasn't sure how that fight would go." Naruto slams chakra arms in the ground and Chiria leaps in the air, connecting her punch with that of the chakra arm, sending wind chakra through the arm and blasting it to pieces. Naruto goes wide eyed and then smirks "You are stronger than even I could of prepared for. Chiria smiles "I think having an enemy like you has forced me to become more powerful. We would make amazing allies" Naruto smirks "Prepared to join me?" She shakes her head "I was hoping you might return home." He rushes her on all fours, quickly transitioning into the 6 tails form "Never!"
Chiria dodges all his attacks using her wind armor and then hits him hard in the head with a punch that knocks him back a ways. Looking around she notices B fled the battle hastily, and she turns her attention back to Naruto. Naruto, also noticing the absence of B, changes back into his 9 tailed form "Now that it is just us I think it is about time we finished this quarrel of ours!" He begins to form the tailed beast bomb and her susanoo forms around her, just in time for the tailed beast bomb to hit its chest. The blast cuts through all its armor, blasting a hole straight through its chest, and reforming from this wound severily eats away at Chiria's chakra reserves but she grins as wooden tendrils sprout from the ground around the tailed beast, and she signs "Wood Style: Great Forest Technique!" Wood sprouts out of the ground everywhere, all trying to imprison the 9 tails, as he begins to break free chakra chains sprout out of the wood as well. The beast realizes he is in trouble, so he forms another Tailed Beast Bomb "Die!" He fires it at Chiria in a massive cone, blasting away quite a bit of the wood binding him, but her susanoo survives the blast, and Kurama feels his chakra being drained. Chiria appears in Naruto's consciousness, creating a prison of black lightning to contain the beast. Naruto walks beside her and looks at the beast "Finally. Freedom. Its unforunate, that I caused so much destruction because I allowed my jealousy and hate to control me. For what it is worth, let the village know I am sorry." Chiria shakes her head "Your coming back with me." He hangs his head and sighs softly before turning to her "I can't. I can't control this beast. I am weak without his chakra and would not be able to stand up for myself in a fight. But you have shown that you are more than capable of containing Kurama, should he ever get out of hand again. You should take him." She shakes her head "Breaking the seal will kill you." He looks up into the nothingness above, his father and mother's mirage appear on either side of him in his consciousness "It's for the best. It's for the village. I'm sorry I failed you dad. I know you wanted me to be strong enough to control the beast and become Hokage one day." Minato shakes his head "No Naruto, I failed you. I laid on you an incredible burden, one that no man, let alone any child, should be forced to bear." Naruto turns to Chiria "I'm ready to join my parents… do it." She stands over his body, back in reality, and thrusts her hand into the seal on his stomach, breaking it and the red chakra flows up her arm and into her chest, and he coughs up blood and gasps "Thank… you." Once the beast is extracted she stands above his corpse, then sighs and she digs a grave out by hand, her mind swimming as hours pass and she sets his body into the grave, covering him back up and setting a large rock at the head as the tombstone. The sun sets and on the rock it reads "Here lies a great shinobi, who fell not from an injured body, but a broken soul."
Chiria didn't feel triumphant, as she donned the robes of the Hokage, walking out into a balcony overlooking the village. She failed to rescue Naruto, instead she was the one to kill him. But now the Akatsuki would never get the 9 tails, no matter what they attempted. Now, she would need to prepare for the war and she needed to be ready. I would be a hard battle, but one she had no intention of losing. The people cheered but she felt like crying. Barely 19 and here she was, the leader of a nation spiraling into a full scale Fourth Shinobi War. Of course, she couldn't let her family down. Her mother, father and grand sensei were relying on her to remain composed. The fate of many can rest on the actions of the few, her sensei would say. And he was right in a sense, for the few who had the most power had the power to create or destroy, and it was the innocence who would prosper, or live in despair. Even during a feast in her honor, Chiria would sit it out, electing to remain in her new quarters. A knock on the door brings her back to reality and she opens the door, seeing the large form of Angston "Hey, we all missed you at the feast. I'm stuffed." She smiles weakly "That's great." He eases his way inside and turns to her "Lot of pressure huh?" She nods "Hope I live up to the hype." He puts a hand on her shoulder "You will. Trust me."
