Cloie appeared in front of Angel, and the animal didn't even have the sense to look alarmed at the sudden appearance of a goddess. Not just any goddess, but a Fate. Not that he'd be able to tell, but still. "Leopard."
"Goddess." He practically snarled the title, but she couldn't blame him. He probably blamed her and her sisters for the happenings and he was entirely right to be upset.
"Look, I don't normally do this, but my sister has meddled where she shouldn't have. This wasn't supposed to happen, but it has and now there's no going back. Only forward." She reached out to touch his chest, sending him gasping to his knees, then to his back and he writhed in pain. She watched him, cocking her head and letting her glowing blonde hair fall over one shoulder, until he'd stopped thrashing about. He quickly jumped back to his feet, snarling at her but keeping his distance, and she could hear his thoughts loud and clear. He wanted to lunge for her, both for the situation with Alicia and for the pain she'd just caused, but to do that would prevent him from saving the girl he refused to acknowledge that he could love. "What the fuck did you do to me?"
"Language, animal." She chided. "I've given you another set of powers. Alicia will not get out of this alive, no human could. But as I'm sure you're aware, Katagaria posses the ability-"
"To pass on powers…" he said softly, his mind already where she wanted it, on giving Alicia the ability to overcome this.
"Exactly." She gave him the address of the warehouse, as well as the spot to enter where they wouldn't be watching, and he narrowed his eyes on her.
"Why are you doing this?"
She lifted her chin imperiously. "Because I don't take kindly to my sister interfering in my threads."
His eyes widened as he realized she was a Fate- her talk of threads must have given her away- and she vanished, going back to Atty's side. "Hello again."
"What in the name of sanity did you do?"
"Nothing."
