In the dark of the room with the barest hints of light coming from under the door Six turned so he was facing Thorn. He noticed his young lover was staring at the ceiling unblinking. Where was the boy's mind at? Six sighed softly before his lips would part his arms sliding around Thorn.
"Thorn, Thorn what are you doing.." Six said before his head would shift his nose resting against the vivid green locks of hair on Thorn's head. Thorn finally blinked turning his head to look at his older lover before shaking his head.
"Mmm, nothing I was just thinking.." Said Thorn before curling closer to the Agent his eyes closing.
"About what?" Six was curious now having little memory of the male other then what he'd been told.
For a moment Thorn said nothing his mouth compressed teeth resting on his bottom lip before he'd sigh parting his lips. "I was thinking I could help you get your memories back. It was just a passing thought and highly dangerous. I don't even know if it's possible since my power is so unstable.." Said Thorn in a soft voice.
For a moment Six was silent thinking. Six did not make snap decisions he liked to know all his options. Caesar's machine caused this issue, Caesar's machine could not fix it. Thorn however could fix it. There was the possibility of it being successful. Then there was the horrible thought of being trapped in his own mind unable to speak or move.
"what would you need to do in order to be successful?" Asked Six sitting up staring Thorn in the eye quietly.
"A quiet room very little distraction. Only you and me would be able to be in it.. Without interruptions." Said Thorn looking back at the Agent.
"Your not getting any sleep tonight are you? Is that woman bothering you?" Said Six his fingers sliding through Thorn's hair.
"Yes, in a way she is bothering me. That's my fault though." Thorn said his eyes sliding closed as he smiled.
"What are you smiling for.." Six was a little confused at the moment watching Thorn.
"What if she is my mother.. There is no way she'd allow me to stay here.. She'd make me leave you, I hope she isn't my mother.." Thorn said his arms curling around Six as he tugged the man down.
For a moment Six was silent settling against Thorn his eyes narrowed. He felt he wasn't doing any good at Providence with as many Evos as there were. This boy though it was strange but in a way he felt he grounded Thorn. His arms curling around Thorn's waist as he held the other closer.
"Even if she is your mother, I will never betray you nor will I let you be unhappy." Six's lips covered Thorn's stealing the sigh that came from those lips. He was teasing his younger lover in a way.
"Sleep Thorn, I'll be right here when you wake up.." Six was lulling his young love asleep in the way only he knew how. Gentle hands caught hold of Thorn's hand fingers gently rubbing the palm slowly.
"Sleep Thorn it's late..Morning comes early." Six's voice was soft soothing making Thorn's eyes close as those fingers rubbed gentle soothingly.
"I love you Six.." One hand raised to brush through short brown hair as Thorn smiled before his hand slid down as Thorn started to doze lulled by the Agent's voice and movements.
When morning came it was not surprising Six was sitting in the Cafeteria. What was surprising was Thorn was with him actually eating something. This made Bobo and Rex speculate what the two could have been doing all night
"So you actually spent all night with Green Bean alone.." Said Bobo making Thorn glare his eyes narrowing. The intention of the monkey annoyed him..
"Er.. Bobo maybe you shouldn't.." Rex started to say before the milk that Thorn had been drinking started to bubble.
Bobo wasn't paying attention to the subtle hint he was being given and continued his little joking around.. "So does he sleep on the floor there Minty?"
Thorn's milk started to bubble faster as Thorn's lips curved in a frown. What really did it for him was the last comment Bobo made.
"Is he on top?" Bobo said right before Rex stared as the glass levitated off the table.
"Um Bobo maybe you should stop teasing him..." Said Rex pointing with one finger.
"Eh? What?" Bobo turned looking at the glass that was floating it's contents now bubbling fully.
"Thorn please calm down.. Bobo is just being Bobo..He doesn't mean anything by it.." Rex started to say bringing his hands up to get Thorn's attention who stared at them.
"...It's Cruel.. Teasing someone like that.. How can you? Do you like it when someone teases you about your Diaper?!" Green eyes narrowed as Thorn swung his gaze on Bobo that was now starting to retreat.
"I didn't mean anything by it!" Said Bobo bringing his hands up. "Sometimes I just can't help but tease.."
"No! That's not an excuse! Never tease me like that! I am thinking and feeling things you could not possibly comprehend! Thoughts that are my own, thoughts that are not my own! I sensed your intention when you walked up..Bad Monkey!" Thorn raised one hand shaking it at Bobo. For a moment no one moved before Rex burst out laughing.
"Oh god is that what I look like when I'm doing that?!" Rex couldn't help but laugh his good nature breaking through the shadowy anger that Thorn was feeling before slowly Thorn smiled slightly.
Seeing that Rex stared for a moment before speaking "Wait..You were channeling me weren't you?! Were you reading my mind?!" A big smile broke across Rex's face as he stared at Thorn.
Thorn blinked then shook his head hands coming up "No it doesn't work like that! I didn't.."
Rex smiled before slinging one arm around Thorn's shoulders speaking " It's ok your welcome in my head any day if you need someone to make you feel better and Six isn't around."
Thorn felt warm suddenly like he was suddenly surrounded by a blanket. Comforted in a strange way. Was this Rex's nature? Warm and happy? Thorn's eyes slid closed as he sighed slightly his head tilting back. "Thank you.."
"For what?" Asked Rex leaning back as well curiously wondering what Thorn was doing.
"For giving me a little courage and comfort.." Thorn reached out flicking Rex's goggles making the younger male grin before Thorn put his plate and glass away. As Thorn was setting the glass down though it rattled then shattered. Thorn was lucky enough to have his barriers though and avoided being hurt. Rex stared for a moment before hesitantly gripping Thorn's shoulder giving it a squeeze. "Hey you ok?"
Was he ok? Thorn stopped moving staring at Rex his eyes large. Was he ok? No he wasn't. His eyes closed as his hands came up tears coming. He was sad, then he was angry. That's when the voices started coming..
'I want to go to the park mommy! The park!'
'Honey it's too late to go to the park, we need to pick up Daddy..'
'Wanna go now!'
'But baby don't you want to see Daddy?'
'Yes..'
Things grew fuzzy after that. Were they memories? No that was a little girl's voice. The woman's voice didn't sound like he knew it either. Where was this from? That's when he felt two arms wrap around him a head resting on his shoulder.
"Thorn.. Come back to me.. Don't get lost."
Soft, it was so soft and loving. Eyes sliding closed as he sighed tilting into those arms. One hand raising to catch a sleeve holding onto it.
"Rex get me some water when he comes out of this he's going to want some.."
"Six is he ok? What happened?" Asked another voice. Rex's voice that's right it was Rex's voice. That meant the other one was Six's voice. Thorn's eyes shot open as he suddenly breathed deeply his fingers clenched in that sleeve.
"Thorn what happened.." Six authoritative but concerned was asking.
"I don't know, I heard things.. Thoughts I think maybe.." Thorn was silent his head lowered.
Six was quiet he didn't need to speak. He simply opened his mind to his young lover.
'Thorn you need to be checked out. This could be stabilizing and we need to know what it is.' Thought Six quietly sending concern to Thorn's mind.
'I'm alright, lack of sleep maybe. It might also be that beam of light Kleiss hit me with. They already checked me out though..' Thorn thought back to Six before the man simply picked him up.
"Your getting checked out, even if I have to haul you down there myself.." Said Six starting to walk.
"Hey wait, um Six could I come to.." Rex hung back a worried look on his face.
Six raised one brow before nodding slightly. "If you'd like though I wonder why." Said Six as Thorn chuckled softly.
"You can't tell? He's concerned the same as you.." Thorn nodded slowly before continuing to speak. "He might as well learn so he's not ignorant.."
"Very well, but Rex one flippant comment and I'll.." Six was cut off as Thorn leaned up both hands resting on the Agent's cheeks his lips covering Six's lips.
'Hush.. You sound like he has no brain..Rex knows better..Let him come.'
Thorn was quiet mentally after that gently closing his mind to protect himself from picking up on random thoughts others might have.
Carried down followed by Rex Thorn lay on the table that normally scanned Rex. This he did not like one bit. It was too enclosed, too small. For a mind that was everywhere and no where all at once it was unnerving to know there were others around, but to be unable to see them. It bothered him slightly.
"Wait Holiday he's not used to this, maybe you shouldn't.." Rex trailed off as images started showing up on the monitors rainbow colored and moving around on the screens.
"Six he's evolved.. This is full blown telepathy, and it's becoming stronger." Holiday looked worried for a moment before the scans started to change color.
"I want out.. It's too loud..." Thorn didn't want to move too much. He didn't want to throw the scan off.
"Six this is amazing, I've only speculated at something like this being possible.." Holiday hadn't heard Thorn she was too excited at what she was being shown.
"Let me out.." Thorn closed his eyes tightly. The clicking sound, it was so loud in his ears.
"This is amazing, we're witnessing the Evolution of his Nanites right now this second..It's incredible.." said Holiday looking at the monitors her eyes large before picking up a clip board recording things.
The machine started to rattle loudly as Thorn grit his teeth. He couldn't take the clicking he wanted it to stop. Thorn's eyes shot open glowing bright white as the machine finally fell silent along with every electronic thing in the room. Holiday turned before a odd look came. "Oh my god Thorn sweetheart I'm so sorry!" Thorn could feel it remorse coming from her. He knew she felt sorry. Slowly his fear of being in trouble started to ebb away.
"Sorry, I did try and ask.." Said Thorn as the Doctor gestured with one hand.
"Come on I'm not mad at you." Said Holiday quietly a smile coming as if to reassure the young man.
Six gripped the sliding part of the table sliding it out his arms reaching out to wrap around Thorn as the young man sat on the table a smile coming at the normally stoic Agent looking so worried.
"I'm alright Six, it's ok.." Thorn sighed slightly looking amused in a way.
"It's ok.." Six said looking to Thorn before his lips quirked in a smirk "You would say that.."
Thorn slipped from the table standing in front of the Agent before putting his hands on his own hips leaning forwards. "I am Fine Agent Six." Said Thorn his head tilting to the side.
"I know your fine but how are you feeling.." Six said without missing a single beat.
Thorn blinked before going red faced his eyes widening before he turned his head. "Smart Alec..." Thorn said before moving towards the door sighing slightly. Six watched his younger lover walk away his mouth continuing to curve in a larger smirk.
Thorn turned back to see that smirk before his cheeks went red as he hustled out. A full blown chuckle came from the Agent before he coughed. "You saw nothing.." Said Six eying Rex and Doctor Holiday.
"..Six you haven't done anything with Thorn have you?" Holiday eyed the Agent who raised one brow.
"Rebecca I fail to see how my relationships are any business of yours.." Said Six his arms folding.
"No I didn't mean it like that I meant to be careful. His powers are strongly related to his emotions.. During Sexual Intercourse emotions are very strong.." Holiday trailed off her cheeks reddening before she coughed "I'm sure you're aware of that though so I don't need to tell you that!" She walked off in a hurry pulling Rex after her to check him over.
Six was amused to say the least and sought out Thorn to tell him about that amusing tidbit when he found him staring blankly at the wall. Thorn's left hand was raised resting on the wall his head turned eyes open staring at the wall. Six was silent moving to look and see what Thorn was looking at. Six could see nothing and when he moved past Thorn he suddenly snapped out of it blinking at Six.
"Six? When did you get out of the lab?" Thorn said looking surprised.
"Thorn what was that all about?" Asked Six watching the younger male.
"I don't know, I just felt dizzy for a moment." Said Thorn raising one hand putting it to his forehead.
Six raised one brow before one arm slid around Thorn "Bed..Your going to lay down.." Said Six just as White came through on their ear pieces requesting their presence.
Six gave Thorn a stern look making the younger smile mysteriously before the two started walking.
"I want you to take it easy. No unnecessary actions.." said Six making Thorn smile more.
"All right I'll behave.." Said Thorn as Six's hand caught his holding it gently.
"I mean it.." Said Six as the two headed into the briefing room.
No one told Thorn they were going to Egypt. No one told Thorn it was going to be dangerous. Most of all no one told him she was going to be there.
Standing next to Six Thorn felt an odd presence. A mind older then time it's self. For a moment it was a fleeting brush just on the edge of his mind then nothing.
Turning Thorn stared quietly at a spot for a moment before Six spoke. "Thorn, don't push yourself.."
Turning back Thorn offered Six a smile "I won't if they don't.." Said Thorn looking amusedly at his older lover who gave him a stern look.
Inside the pyramid it was dark in a way kind of creepy. After a short door opening thing from Rex they were into a chamber. Thorn did not like this and hung back behind Six staring at the remains within it.
"Not normal.. Their not normal at all.." Thorn stared at the large looking figure sitting on the odd throne his head tilting as he walked towards it quietly.
"Alexander get away from that!" A woman's voice rang out as a black clad figure ran forwards gripping Thorn's arm pushing him back.
"Black Knight, what's she doing here!" Said Rex looking angry his fists clenching.
"Thorn get back here!" Six reached out gripping Thorn's arm pulling the younger male back behind him both swords drawn.
"I might have known.." Black Knight turned back to the figure a glare given to it. "This is not as dead as thought."
When the figure reached out gripping the Black Knight she held up one hand "Now is not the time for Violence yet.."
Thorn stared his eyes widening as the figure moved. That mind, it was ancient so much knowledge of the past and their time. How was this possible? Glowing white eyes regarded them before the Black Knight spoke "Our host has simply forgotten his manners is all. I'm sure it's been a while since he's had company.."
"It has been an eternity since I have had company, though you will not be leaving!" Said the Figure before Black Knight jabbed a strange looking weapon in his arm. Crying out Thorn gripped his arm in the same spot the figure was stuck at.
"No! Don't!" Thorn cried out before gritting his teeth.
"Thorn what was that?!" Six turned his head looking at the younger male.
"Our minds are connected! Any damage done to him at the moment I will feel!" Thorn said looking grim.
Six wasn't sure how it happened but now they had smaller Evos to deal with. Thorn crouched down before gritting his teeth as the pain started to fade. "He's going to raise something.. Something large don't let him escape!" Said Thorn as he got to his feet looking to the Black Knight.
The woman met his gaze for a moment before looking away as Thorn spoke "Help us! You're trapped as well!"
"I am not as trapped as you would think Alexander..." Said The Black Knight before bringing up a gun starting to fire on the small Evos attacking them.
Thorn stared for a moment before he caught one of the small Evos in midair as it tried to jump at him before tossing it aside into a wall. "Why do you call me that?!" Asked Thorn before the Black Knight smiled slightly.
"It was your name, your real name before your father changed it.. To hide you from me. I did search for you, I wanted to give you a better life." Said the Black Knight before dodging an Evo firing on another.
Thorn was silent caught up in his own thoughts. How could she just walk back into his life like this? Back from the dead. Back from where ever she'd been and expect him to fall in line like a good son. Six reached out Catching one of Thorn's hands making the younger male stare at him "Later Thorn, I promise.." Said Six before pulling the younger out of harms way spinning to slash at the Evo that had almost gotten it's teeth in Thorn's back.
"Now isn't the time though.." Said Six before planting himself in front of Thorn "Support me..." Asked Six looking to Thorn who nodded slightly.
Thorn's eyes glowed as he started to send images to the Agent's mind allowing Six to seemingly see in all directions as the man stood by the women slicing as Evos tried to come at them from his angle.
When the Black Knight was thrown through a wall Thorn smirked slightly before turning away. The woman deserved it. As she leaped forwards though what came after her startled him. More of the small Evos? Was it an army? Thorn grit his teeth when Six turned wrong almost missing an Evo that came flying at him. One hand barely moved before the Evo was thrown away. He was reaching his limits with his supporting ability. Thorn raised one brow his sight suddenly failing as he saw Bobo punch an Evo in the mouth. For a moment no one moved as the things went to dust. Thorn blinked crouching down to poke some of the dust before Black Knight spoke "You always were a curious child..."
Thorn turned his head glaring before standing looking at the woman "Don't talk to me! You have no business talking to me.. Not after what you did, you left us! You left me!" Thorn glared at the woman after speaking.
"Alexander there isn't a day that didn't go by that I didn't think of you.." Said Black Knight reaching one hand out towards Thorn who glared his eyes starting to glow.
"Don't touch me!" One hand raised slapping the woman's hand away as Thorn yelled making the other members of the providence defect group stop what they were doing.
"Alexander please, I tried to find you! Your father he left and took you.. I couldn't find you.." Said Black Knight rubbing her hand. Secretly she was rather proud of her son for having that much power in a slap like that.
"Yea he took me to protect me from them.. The people you left with.." Said Thorn before he moved back with the Defect group. "I made my choice, I'll never go with you."
"By the time this is done Alexander you may change your mind.." Said The Black Knight smiling mysteriously before walking away quietly.
For a moment no one moved before Holiday rushed after the other woman.
"Hmm help Rex save the world or watch two crazy chicks go at it.." Said Bobo before Six spoke up "Holiday will need our help, I think Rex has got this.."
"Mmhmm I like watching Cat fights too.." Said Bobo as the two broke in a run.
Thorn stood quietly before going after the two as well. Something felt off though like he was being watched. Stopping Thorn stood still not sensing any minds he continued running.
"Follow him, don't let that boy come to harm.." The Black Knight said holding up one hand pointing to Thorn. "My poor baby.. I can do nothing more then press forwards, if I do not they will learn of it.." The Black Knight hung her head for a moment before turning to go holding a stone slab with strange glyphs on it.
The three silent shadows followed Thorn all the way to the plant. They hung outside for a while watching it before one raised it's hand to it's ear area. "Ma'am he is inside their headquarters do you wish for us to remain here.." It said quietly motioning to the others to stay down out of sight.
"Yes, Keep watch over him make sure nothing happens.. I mean nothing, I especially want you to watch over him when he's around.." Said Black Knight through the ear piece.
"Affirmative orders received.." The figures melted into the night heading into the plant moving swiftly. When Thorn woke he stared upwards for a moment before bringing one hand up his other hand caught under Six's arm. A smile came as he turned to look to the Agent who was sleeping. It was rare he got to see this sight. Thorn's fingers moved slowly to trace Six's jawline before Six opened one eye to stare at Thorn who smiled. "Good morning Six.." Said Thorn resting his head on the Agent's arm.
"Your up early it's barely six in the morning. What woke you?" Asked Six one hand reaching out to brush through Thorn's messy locks.
"I don't know, just something woke me. Like a new mind or something.." Thorn shook his head a moment before sitting up stretching looking down to Six.
"I had a strange dream last night.." Thorn said before standing up moving to grab his brush starting to brush his hair.
"Did you, about what?" Six said starting to get dressed looking at the wall while Thorn dressed.
"A strange thing it kept changing forms, odd isn't it?" Thorn sighed putting his brush down before turning around to see Six shirtless fixing something with his holsters.
For a moment seeing that Thorn forgot to breathe. He just stared at Six who finished fixing his holster and looked up noticing the younger staring at him. One brow raised his mouth curving in a smirk.
"Enjoying the view?" Said Six starting to walk towards Thorn who blinked going red.
"Um, if I say yes are you going to kiss me.." Thorn brought his hands up as Six slid his arms around him putting his hands over the Agent's chest.
"I might, I planned on it this morning. You did well in the field White wanted to see you when you'd eaten.." Six leaned closer to Thorn who after a moment tilted his head up kissing Six.
Drawing back Thorn smiled for a moment before what the Agent said sank in. "Wait you said White wanted to see me?! About what?! Oh god what if he's angry.." Said Thorn rushing around to finish getting ready. "Will he be mad I'm not wearing a uniform?!" Thorn continued to panic as Six chuckled catching his young lover around the shoulders drawing him back against himself."Thorn Relax, it's ok White is not angry with you."
Thorn stood still before sighing slightly his eyes sinking closed. "Sorry I just get the feeling that man hates everyone who is an Evo.." Thorn said opening his eyes as Six released him.
"Take your time, White isn't angry with you. I can't tell you what he needs to talk to you about, but I know it's not a bad thing." Six said kissing the top of Thorn's head before he grabbed his Blazer jacket sliding it on taking his tie with him.
Thorn was left alone to make the bed. Someday he'd figure out how Six managed to leave it to him rather then doing it himself..
