At the FBI office…
David jerked his phone away as he was abruptly cut off from Meghan. He was on his feet, yelling at Colby to follow him, while ordering a trace on Megan's phone. Colby and David were silent as they raced through the streets of Los Angeles. They arrived at an abandoned warehouse and spotted Megan's car.
"Call for backup" David ordered Colby as they both got out. After waiting twenty minutes for backup to assemble, they carefully got a video feed of the inside of the warehouse. Meghan and one Don in a cage…and another Don.
"What on earth?" Muttered Colby.
"It explains bosses behavior the last few days," replied David. He correctly guessed the imposter was the one pacing outside the electrified cage. When everything was ready, they breached. The imposter whirled around, but Colby fired before he could react. They freed Megan and the real Don quickly and were making their way outside when Alan and Charlie arrived.
"Donnie!" Yelled Alan making his way over to him with Charlie. They gripped each other's arms then Don debriefed them quickly on what had happened, just as they brought the body out of the warehouse. All eyes watched silently, before David quietly turned to Don.
"Go home with them boss, we'll finish up here." Don nodded quietly and walked with Charlie and Alan to their vehicle, heading home at last.
