Jewel yelled at her kids, even using their names, but they still remained in a zombie-like state, coming towards her. She was extremely furious now and had to take it out on someone, so she quickly grabbed her kids by their talons and flew them home. They of course squirmed, trying to bite her the whole way, but they weren't much of a match to her. When she arrived back at the territory, Blu, Roberto and Tol were talking to each other about Falina, obviously still worried about her. As Jewel landed, straining to keep the zombie-like Tiago and Bia grounded, Blu turned to see them, instantly rushing over to see why Jewel was restraining them. The two kids snapped their beaks at their father as he approached, causing him to jump back in surprise. Roberto and Tol rushed over too, Tol taking no time to try and examine the kids. She managed to get a good look over of them without getting bit or scratched, but she was still weary.

''They're definitely hypnotized. Who on earth around here would hypnotize these two? Nigel can't possibly know hypnosis...'' said Tol.

''Actually, he probably does. He gets around you know, it wouldn't surprise me'' replied Jewel.

''Did you see anyone near them who could have done this?''

Jewel looked at Blu and Roberto, feeling guilty of course. How could she tell them that their mother WITH Nigel was responsible for this?

''Yes, I know exactly who did it. It was Nigel, and I know what he's trying to do; he's really trying to get to the heart of our family and ultimately destroy it. But this is just minor compared to the ultimate evil he's done...along with...HER...''

Roberto looked confused. ''Her? Her who?''

Jewel had to tell them. She wasn't the type to keep things. ''I'm sorry but...it was Falina...''

Roberto looked appalled and a little annoyed that Jewel would accuse his mother of such a thing, but Blu stepped up and looked into Jewel's eyes.

''Are you absolutely sure, Jewel?'' Blu asked.

She nodded. ''Yes.''

Blu could tell Jewel was telling the truth, she definitely saw Falina. Being her mate for so long, he could just tell by looking in her eyes and hearing the tone in her voice. Still, he had a hard time believing it himself, and looking at Roberto he could tell he definitely didn't believe it either.

Blu turned to Roberto then. ''She IS telling the truth...but...''

Roberto suddenly looked very angry.

''No...no this is ALL wrong!'' he snapped at them, ''This is our MOTHER we're talking about Blu! She-...we...''

Tol put her wing on his shoulder, which did calm him down a little. She turned him to face her, bringing him closer to her.

''Roberto, you're afraid of not having the perfect family. I can see that now. And this would be difficult for anyone, but you have to have a little logic too. Listen to your brain AND your heart, until they coincide, and you will get through this.''

What his brain and his heart told him right now were definitely the same thing, but that would have to wait, this definitely wasn't the time. So he turned to Blu again, letting her wings slide off of him.

''We have to go find Nigel, AND our mother. We have to stop this.''

''And get answers'' added Blu, ''We need to bring peace.''

Tol then carefully grabbed Tiago and Bia from Jewel, they seemed very confused now as their zombie-like efforts were completely useless, so they just appeared completely zoned out and drooly now.

''I think I can fix this, I'll take them into my cave. Give me some time, and don't let Carla see them like this. Not that it will mortify her or anything, but she IS a little kid, she might uh...make me screw up while treating them. Alright?''

Jewel nodded and went to where Carla was, joining her in eating fruit. Seeing that Carla was occupied with her mother now, Tol took the two kids back to her cave.

Roberto looked serious now, as did Blu. They looked at each other and nodded firmly, signaling to the other that they were ready to take off to go find them.

Just then as they were about to though, the both of them heard a familiar voice behind them.

''Hello boys.''

They both turned around, shocked to see none other than Falina standing there, right in front of them. Roberto gawked at her, not being able to stop himself from approaching her, but a sudden shot of fear overcame Blu and tried to stop him, but it was too late. She ninja kicked him, sending him flying to the side. He tried to pick himself up, rubbing his wing over his head in pain. Blu looked at her, raging with anger and confusion, and as much as he would have a hard time doing this, he had to defend his brother. He tackled her, scratching at her face then throwing her to the side. She lifted her head with ease as she picked herself up, spitting on the ground with sass.

The whole blue macaw tribe was gathering around now, everyone gasping in shock, parents covering little ones eyes. Jewel and Carla had rushed over too, Carla looking extremely confused to see her grandma looking at her father with a strange evil and no mercy. Jewel was not going to hold her rage back any longer now, it had built up to the maximum level. She took no hesitation and dive bombed Falina, kicking and headbutting her with her beak. Falina kicked Jewel off of her, clearly amused by all the fighting.

''You always were quite the fighter, Jewel! That's what I like about ya! And now it will give me a challenge!''

Jewel growled like an angry dog and lunged at her again, and again and again, constantly missing now. Her anger was causing her to lose focus, making her aimlessly lunge at Falina. This just made Falina even more amused as she grinned widely whilst dodging her attacks. Blu couldn't stand to watch this any longer and took his turn to lunge at Falina, and having more focus, had more success in knocking her off her pedestal. She looked a bit annoyed at this, looking back and forth between the two of them.

''You can't fight the two of us!'' yelled Jewel.

Falina grinned mischievously. ''No, you're right, I'm not that strong. That's why I have help.''

Nigel suddenly swooped down, but instead of attacking Blu or Jewel, grabbed a very hurt and weak Roberto and flew high into the sky.

Everyone looked up then and Blu immediately took off into the air after them. Jewel was looking up too, and Falina now had the perfect opportunity to attack her. She prepared to lunge at her as she was distracted, but then a tiny blue blur hit her in the face. It was Carla. Carla was panting already from that one attack on her she did. Falina laughed.

''You're joking, right? Well you wont be difficult at all to terminate!'' she exclaimed evilly.

Jewel and a bunch of other macaws then pounced down on Falina, restraining her down completely. Jewel smushed her face into the ground and she was completely unable to move now.

''We wont be having any of that anymore, you're foiled!''

Falina snorted. ''Or so you think...''

She then looked up into the sky, where Nigel was carrying the hurt Roberto higher and higher, Blu still going after them. Jewel looked back down at Falina, seeing the evil smirk on her face.

Sudden realization and horror flowed over Jewel as she screamed up into the air ''Blu wait it's a trap!''

Blu didn't hear her, he just kept going up after Nigel, extremely focused on saving his brother. Nigel then stopped midair and Blu stopped too, his eyes only focused on his half unconscious brother dangling from Nigel's large talons. Nigel simply kept his eyes on Blu, smiling a very devious smile.

''You were always a stupid STUPID macaw! And now you will DIE one...the both of you!''

He then let go of Roberto, and giving Blu no time to go to save him, as he lunged at Blu, talons stuck wide out, reaching for the blue macaws throat.

What? Not ANOTHER cliffhanger! But you know what, I couldn't help myself, I just love them so much. Ehehehe! Eh hem, anyways, you'll have to wait until next time for the *gasp* SHOCKING conclusion to the story. Just hang tight, and I hope you enjoyed this chapter. Adieu!~
