My gut twisted as I stepped into the house. Isaac was at my side. I think he could since my new status in the pack and my distress. The whole pack was in the living room. Derek was already out of his seat and heading to me. anxiety clearly on his face. "Luna" he breathed as he pulled me into a hug. I couldn't help but hug him back even more, feeling like it will be my last. Stiles and Danny are right after him. A smile broke out on my face when they brought me into a huge hug. I hadn't realized how much I had missed my boys, even if it was just one night. Stiles pulls my hood down so they can thoroughly inspect me. "We were so worried about you yesterday. Then when you went missing today... Don't you ever do that again." Danny scolds as if I'm his child. I can't help but laugh. My boys.
"What happened?" I here someone ask Isaac as he sits down. "I ran into some members of the Alpha pack." He says under his breath. His eyes meet mine as if asking permission to tell them. I nod. They need to all know everything. Isaac explains his story of getting trapped in the ally by the three alphas. He also tells them about how I saved him and that they knew me. All eyes turned to me when he was finished. Derek's questioning look hurt the most. "How do you know them?" He asks. I can't hold his gaze I have to look away. Stiles and Danny seem to register my discomfort but don't move. They are curious as well. I take a deep breath.
"Ever since I was a little girl I have been trained to follow orders. I have been punished many times since I was introduced to the supernatural world. My father is very heartless and power hungry. He trained me to be one of his best solders I suppose. He gave me jobs and I followed them. I've killed many creatures. Wolves, witches, hunters, humans, anything my father thought needed disposing. He wanted a power team that could be his major tool in taking control of the supernatural world. That tool is the Alpha pack. He put me in charge of this team. I hand selected each and every member. I trained them. I even ran missions with them. I made sure they were a power house to be reckoned with." I pause trying to figure out how to word the rest without getting choked up. Before I could continue Derek spoke.
"You are one of them. You are on their side!" He growled. I stare at him blankly. "No." I choke out. The anger and hurt on his face make my heart ache. "Don't even try to lie you just said you trained them. You are on their side. You only got close to use for them!" He accused. I couldn't speak. "Derek let her finish." Stiles said harshly. "I've herd enough" he growled. "You are not a member of this pack!" My heart stopped. Anger finally took its place and I couldn't remain quite. "I am not apart of that pack any more! I only trained them to avoid my own punishment!" I yelled at Derek.
"I tried to escape my father! I tried! My best friend died trying to get me out of that hell. I have been homeless for the past few years because of him! I have been running, hiding, trying to get away." Tears stream down my face. "I was told to kill monsters like you just like I killed my mother. That is what I have heard from my father since I was two." I can't see straight from the tears. Derek seems to be fighting with himself.
"I trusted you. I trusted you and you are the enemy. You knew about the Alphas being here and you never said anything! Get out of my house! Get out of my pack! You are nothing to me! nothing!" He yells. and my heart breaks. I will always be a nothing. "Derek she saved me!" Isaac exclaims. Derek's eyes are blood red. "Out." He growls at me. "She is apart of the pack!" Danny challenges. "I am the alpha. I determine who is or isn't in the pack and she is not a member." Derek doesn't take his eyes off me. My anger has one final stand.
"You are no alpha. If you were you would know that your pack is at the verge of falling apart. These kids don't love each other like pack. They don't work together properly because you won't set them down and help them get over their past. You won't be the alpha they need. That is what is going to get all of you all killed. It will be on your hands Derek. Then what are you going to do? You need to grow some and be an alpha." Derek seems lost for words. "Some mate you are." I spit out. Derek's eyes widen. I can't be in this house anymore my anger is leaving me and I can't break down in front of him. I run out of the house.
as soon as I'm outside I'm grabbed from behind. "Luna." Stiles whispers. I don't fight him. I practically fall into his arms. "Oh Stiles." I sob out as he leads me to his jeep. Danny is already in the passenger seat waiting for me. I crawl into his lap. "Danny" I sob out. "Shhh I'm here. We're here." He whispers. Stiles climbs into the jeep and starts it up. Stiles quickly drives us away from the house. From the pack. "We are always going to be here for you." Stiles says quietly as I calm myself. I cling to Danny as he holds me just as tightly. "I love you boys." I say. Its the first time I have ever said anything like that to them. Stiles and Danny seem to be speechless but I know they get the message. I know by Danny holding me tighter and Stiles reaching over and grabbing ahold of my hand. They may not say it but I can feel the love they have for me. And oddly in this time of loss, I have never felt more love.
