When Maria woke up she felt a crippling pain in her abdomen, this worried her as she was only 8 month 2 weeks pregnant, as another pain surged through her body she fell to the ground, she did not want to call anyone as she was worried what would happen.
Suddenly she heard footstep outside her door, Rachel came in a saw her on the floor and was shocked, at first Maria wondered if she was just shocked about her being on the floor but when she looked to where Rachel was staring she saw her nightgown was covered in blood.
Rachel quickly called for help and carried Maria to the next room and laid her on a bed. Maria was terrified she didn't know what was going on and no one would explain anything.
She felt a pain surge through her body and felt the need to push, she couldn't fight it so she pushed but managed to prevent herself from screaming, she tried her best to breath but the pain made it hard.
She could feel the area near her legs becoming wetter and wetter, she knew she was losing a lot of blood, she tried not to be scared but she knew this was a normal reaction. As she pushed again she felt something come out of her body, it was like a weight was lifted and she fell onto the bed.
Suddenly she heard a little cry, her little baby was in the arms of one of the women who were present but Maria couldn't see her, as she repositioned herself on the bed the woman to her baby out of the room, Maria had no will to fight back as she felt herself fall asleep, she could tell it wasn't natural, and she knew it wasn't from blood loss, she knew this because she felt a needle go into her arm as she sat there, the next thing she saw was darkness.
She woke up 12 hours later in her own room, in a fresh nightgown, Rachel entered.
"How are you feeling?" she asked.
"Tired, where is my baby?"
"Maria, listen to me, I know you could have been a good mother to her but your still young, she's been sent to a good place, and she will be looked after very well."
"I have a daughter."
"Had, or maybe never had."
"What do you mean?"
"We can't acknowledge her existence, its important you don't mention anything about her when we go back to the place we went to before."
"Why? What is so wrong with me having a child? Why won't Kovarian let me keep her?"
"You will understand soon."
After this Rachel got up and left Maria alone with her thoughts on her baby she would never care for.
Two days later Maria was back on the ship going to the place she now knew was the Papal Mainframe, she worked this out from looking at books in the library, in the book she also found out her sister, Tasha, was in charge of the Papal Mainframe, from what she had read she did not understand why everything had happened to her, she was about to find out.
When she met with Tasha, they and Kovarian went into a private room that is when the arguing started.
"did you really think you could trick me Kovarian, I may not know my sister very well but I can tell when someone is pregnant, you know what this means don't you."
It was more of a statement than a question, slowly the pieces were fitting together for Maria, she knew certain things about the Papal Mainframe now, one which is that girls entered at a young age to become part of the group, but certain things could stand in the way, the main ones being Marriages and Pregnancies. Maria finally understood and was now scared about what would happen now she was in this place, it was going to be an interesting time.
this is the final chapter, finished it early, the next story will be Frozen based, it will still involve Maria but it there will be a slight reference to other characters, i will post the first chapter on the 16th, it will be called 'ghiacciato' which is Frozen in Italian. i hope you continue to follow the character as all her stories will link in the end.
